This is our favorite pizza shop around. I love the pizza here so much that I can eat half of a large mushroom pizza by myself. I could probably eat more if I didn't have to share with my husband. I usually stop at 2 slices from anywhere else. Love this pizza! My daughter got an Italian sub there today and she and my husband said it was excellent.

Great pizza and great food. Cheeseburger sub is one of my favorites.

Went once. Never going back. (this happened a few months ago, but is worth mentioning) We called an order in, and they gave the typical "20 minutes" or whatever. So I went about 20 minutes later. They were just getting around to making it. They couldn't decide how much meat went in the stromboli, so they took a dollar off because she thought it should be bigger and he thought it should be smaller. The spaghetti tasted like bleach. The veal parmesan had so much garlic in it that I couldn't eat for 2 days. They did throw in extra fries because of the wait, but when the free frozen french fries are the best part of the meal, I'd be inclined to stay away.

Very good food and service. They use delicious bread and have excellent pizza. Very large portions for the price. They have a drive thru pick up window for your convenience. Try the toasted Italian grinder. Quality bread, meat piled high. It's delicious!

exceptionally good pizza at reasonable prices. an old fashioned oven really kicks out great pie with a crisp crust. Ample toppings and good quality cheese add up to one wonderful pizza after another. We prefer to eat in, as no boxed pie is ever crispy.

Fast service is what I did not expect today! I had an appointment nearby and needed some lunch, so I went in, placed my order, got my fries in less than 5 minutes! Sure it took a bit longer for my pizza, which I was adventurous and decided to get the Cheese steak pizza, which was really good, a little burnt, but the flavors of the pizza made up for it. I'd say if you want pizza, this Carusos is about the same as the one on Fruitville Pike, just bigger inside.

We got a stromboli and brought it home to eat. It was completely soaked with liquid and the meat had a greasy and unappealing taste to it. We did not eat more then a few bites each and ended up throwing it out. We have thought about getting pizza from here because they are so close, but after the mess of a stromboli we got, we are scared to give anything else a try.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century.
