Food is always good and the service is too. They have local brew on tap. Best Leo's in town!

Food was amazing!! Fries were awesome, the kind you just can't stop eating. I had the super turkey club which was delicious. Everyone at my table loved their burgers and sandwiches. Not to mention the incredible beer selection. Helltown brewery Mischievous was great! Would visit again. Great Halloween decorations to boot! (Haunted Hillside is right down the road)

It's been a few years since I've been Leo's but it was the same place I recalled from my earlier visit. TWO IMPORTANT NOTES - 1. there are 2 (I think related) Leo's in Mt. Pleasant. This review is for the original Leo's Pub at the bottom of the hill and not for the newer Leo and Son's Grille31 which is right next to the Dough Boy at the top of the hill. 2. this is not a health food place or somewhere you go for healthy eating The menu includes a variety of salads so it is possible to find something healthy but - in reality - the menu includes a lot a fried foods and large portions. I don't think many people walk out of Leo's hungry. On my recent visit, I had the fried fish sandwich which had a large serving of fish that was perfectly fried and served on a soft hoagie bun. The fries are exceptionally good. With a party of 5, we tried a variety of items including a burger, s steak sandwich, one of their salads and everything was very good. Leo's also has an excellent selection of beer -- both draft and bottled including a number of local brews. This is a fun place with good food, good service, a wide variety of menu selections and reasonable prices. Most importantly -- it's a PUB and should not be confused with a fine dining restaurant -- it's an excellent PUB with great pub grub.

Like I've said before, Hands down best burger you'll ever eat. Always cooked and seasoned perfectly. I'd like to try all the burgers but I can't get past the first one! Best burger ever! And the fries are just as good!!

I know I didn't give this a good review last time and lamented the decline of what used to be a dynamite restaurant/bar. But I keep going back - not necessarily is it ever MY suggestion to go back, but sometimes it's just too convenient not to go. Guess that makes for a necessary compromise. I'm happy to say that my initial review is still right on. Sure they raised prices on some things (salad bar is now $7.50 which I think is too high but they did add all you can load on your plate sliced pepperoni and bacon strips if that appeals to you). The soups are still good, and Monday and Tuesday burger days are a great deal. However, if you are at all impatient (like ME!), and you walk in and see more than two tables occupied, leave right away. Their ability to handle any influx of patrons is near zero. Just awful service, terrible waits, just so annoying. Even now when I order food I ask for the check IMMEDIATELY so I don't have to wait 10 minutes to find a waiter/waitress. Sometimes it actually helps. I'm willing to pay BEFORE the food comes out just to avoid the delay. But even that isn't foolproof. Might take a while to collect it, take it to wherever they take it, and come back. There are a couple tv's overhead that can entertain you with the local news if you are desperate. On the bright side, and the thing that doesn't knock them down another star is that they have Helltown brews on tap! They should! They're neighbors to the Helltown Brewery!! Try it - maybe you'll get there on a day when you're the only one in there.

Accommodated our party of 11 immediately. Ryan (the server) was very attentive to us and was very fast and efficient. Got our order 100% correct and provided refills in drinks without us asking. Good food as well! Thank you!

It's either hit or miss. Lately it's been miss. The 3 out of 4 times the food or service has been bad or both. Today I got a order to go. I ordered in person and decided to have a beer while it was being prepared. The bartender didn't offer or include a orange slice with my drink which it usually comes with it and I was paying $4.50 a draft. I ordered to bugers one with fries one with soup. The burgers were tasteless, needed seasoning, had a teaspoon of blue cheese they weresuppose to be Blue burgers and no condiment or pickles. They gave me green pepper soup instead of barley. There was no spoon or napkins. This was a lunch order and there were only a couple of customers. One of the other times I went in about 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon and there were 6 young people standing in a group at the bar 2 of the guys were dressed in wife beaters and drinking a beer they were the kitchen help and the other 4 were waitresses and bartenders. I sat at the for 15 min in there view before I got waited on. Truthfully I don't know why I went back.

I have been here a few times and it's always fine - but nothing is ever very impressive - but the food is acceptable and reasonably priced. I've had everything there from grilled chicken salad to hot turkey sandwiches to Alfredo - I've never gotten anything bad. Just nothing that stands out. On our most recent visit - I had a Blue Bacon Burger. It was a huge hamburger patty with a decent amount of bacon, but barely any blue cheese and no sauce or condiments. The meat wasn't overcooked - but the whole sandwich was dry and bland. I am usually one to eat all my food or take the left overs. In this case, I left half the burger there - I probably wouldn't order it again. My husband had a California Chicken Club. The chicken was over cooked and burned on the edges, but over all flavor was good. We both had fries, which were beer battered - really good and mozzarella sticks (which they call Tuscan Dippers, I'm not sure why, but I find the name silly and a little embarrassing) which were the best part of our meal - they were huge and fried just right.

I have just returned from an unfortunate dining experience at what used to be one of my favorite local restaurants. I ordered the Hot Roast Beef w/mashed potatoes. The service staff was very attentive and helpful. The food arrived in a fairly timely manner. From there, my dining experience took a nosedive. The "hot" roast beef was anything but hot. If my meal was indicative of the temperature they serve this meal, they should rename it to the Lukewarm Roast Beef Sandwich. I immediately noticed a foul smell. My first recognition was the smell of manure. I looked about the room, wondering if someone has stepped in dog sh*t outside and tracked it in the room, only to realize that the smell was coming from my plate. I cut into the sandwich and lifted a piece of the roast beef to my nose and was greeted by the smell of manure... more succinctly.... dog sh*t. The roast beef sandwich smelled just like dog sh*t. I am not embellishing, nor using colorful words to paint a picture. The beef LITERALLY smelled just like dog sh*t. I thought that I must be crazy to smell such a smell from a plate of food. I cut away at a few more slices of beef, thinking I was imaging these smells. Alas... no, each piece of beef I lifted with my fork smelled the same way... like dog sh*t. I can only imagine that the beef had somehow turned and had taken on this ungodly smell. Suffice to say, I chose not to eat my beef. I attempted to piece at the mashed potatoes only to discover that they were thick, clumpy, and had very poor consistency. It was like eating blocks of cut, partially cooked potato, rather than well made mashed. Suffice to say, after the "dog sh*t" smelling beef and the very poorly made potatoes, I was left hungry for something, so I ordered some fries instead. Thank goodness Leo's still has tasty fries, or I would have been seeking out the nearest Mickey D's for some form of sustenance on my way home. I only hope that my decision to try to mashed (with a little of the beef gravy) and the fries wont leave me on the toilet all night long. I have been eating at Leo's since they opened in 1996. I can still remember when the restaurant was just a few tables in the back, next to the Shop n' Save. They had great food, great beer and a great atmosphere. My, how times have changed. The quality of the food has been extremely subpar my last two times there (this is my second poor dining experience in a row there and I will not be returning again). and the menu is too expansive. I am sad that the quality of the food in the restaurant has fallen so far off in recent years. I also consider myself in the minority, as there were still many diners present for the evening. I can only hope that their experience was better than mine..... just be sure to smell that Hot Roast Beef next time you order it... and trust your nose.

We really enjoy lunch at Leo's with the family. Very good New England clam chowder, filet mignon sandwich, hamburger. Good prices. Nice people. We have probably gone about 10 times and happy each time.
