After looking up local brunch places, I chose to try out this place based on all the positive yelp reviews. Let me begin by saying the restaurant itself was cute and cozy. The staff especially our waitress and the hostess were very sweet. I got the vegetarian omelette with a side if bacon, my friend got some sort of panini, and her friend got the Belgian waffles and I want to say eggs Benedict? I do not remember. Anyways my omelette wasn't the best thing I ever had, it was okay. I wasn't amazed or dissatisfied with what I had ordered. My friend really enjoyed the fries that came with her panini and also loved the homefries that came with my omelette. I did notice for the Belgian waffles, they gave the prepackaged syrup (the ones in the box), which I don't know why but I was surprised. As for the service, our waitress was very sweet as mentioned before and very attentive. It was a pleasant experience! I would probably revisit for brunch on the weekends. My overall rating of this place is a 3 because I think it's an average brunch place with great service and a clean facility.

Snappy service from cheerful staff! The beau and I sat at the counter, bypassing waiting for a table during peak brunch hour on a Sunday. We both had the eggs Benedict, generous portions served with home fries on a large plate. Coffee was hot and fresh. Decor is clean and modern and price is highly reasonable, particularly in comparison to other local options. We'll definitely be back to sample more menu items, at which point I may bump up the rating to 5 stars.

What is it with all these great reviews with noncommittal 4 stars?? This place rocks. Being new to the area, I greatly miss a homey place that serves up a great breakfast. Thank goodness for stumbling upon some good yelp reviews and making that scary cross in that tiny bridge from Trenton to Morrisville to check it out myself. So here are the 3 reason why you should always eat breakfast at Chorba: 1. The food is delicious and fresh. As a Latina, I normally do not drool over pancakes or get bothered over french toast....yet at Chorba I have to stuff every singe bite of their GINORMOUS pancake down because they are so good. Get the pancakes or the waffles, or both. Don't share. 2. The service is exactly what you see in the movies from cozy diners. These servers are running around, carrying really hot and heavy plates all day and yet they are all so darn friendly! They great you with a smile as soon as you walk through the door and get even more pleasant as they fill up your second cup of coffee. As a girl from up North, I'm"m used to great food outweighing crappy attitude, but thankfully you get the full package here. Plus, no TVs to distract you from your lovely breakfast company...just you and your food. 3. The prices are affordable. As someone who is normally not a breakfast person, I prefer to spend my $10-12 on a good lunch rather than some dried out pancakes. At Chorba, the pancakes are not dry AND a breakfast platter (eggs, pancake, french toast, bacon, sausage, taylor ham - aka the breakfast combo for the glutton) will run you an EXTREMELY reasonable $8. And you will have left overs. All in all, I will be returning to this place not only because I love it, but because they have a loyalty card and after 9 meals, my 10th one is free. BOOYAHHH!

I grab lunch here fairly often and am rarely disappointed. They have great specials - and nothing beats their cup of soup & half a panini combo. Their split pea soup is very tasty, and perfect in this winter weather, and the Trenton Panini - sooo good! Their 'cup' of soup is very generous. They've also got great wraps, salads and breakfast foods. The wait staff is very nice and the service is always quick. It's good to still find a place to have lunch for under $10 these days!
(4)Colleen D.
Open for breakfast and lunch, a great place for both. It is clean, has great service, good food and plenty of parking. I highly recommend their oatmeal served with brown sugar on the side. My husband always opts for grits rather than home fries with his eggs. I consider this little restaurant a gem in Morrisville.
(3)John Patrick B.
Good food, decent price, excellent service. Given that most small cafes have lines at 10 a.m. on the weekends, this place great because it is not that well known. At present, it is a real local secret.
(4)Renee M.
Not a fan. Onion soup had way too much bread and cheese, barely any broth and onions. Omelette had absolutely no seasoning and homefries were very bland. My local diner does a much better meal. Not bad, simply average. Next!

On the local level - this is a five star place. I have been here twice now, once in on late Saturday morning and once (just this past week) for lunch take out. I am from Jersey originally so I have been to many diners as an adolescent and young adult. This place is very good. I think it's name is nice, but from a marketing perspective, it can be misleading. It is a diner and In traditional diner fashion, it has individual stool seats and service counter, booth seating and table top seating. Moreover, there are a large array of food items on the menu, reasonable prices, better than standard diner-grade coffee and attentive service. My take out order was ready when I got there; it complete and delivered with close attention paid to detail (my toast was wrapped in wax paper instead of just thrown in with the omelet). The quality of the food was very good both times. The portion size was consummate to the price - adequate to large but not untastefully large like some diners do to justify a higher price). The I wish they were open late (although they may be open one night a week or something) but I understand why they are not. I give them a big thumbs up!

Big portions and good pricing!

Fabulous little spot tucked away in the corner of a shopping center. Excellent food - had a veggie omelet, which had more vegetables than eggs. The eggs themselves were light and fluffy, not greasy and was able to sub fruit for potatoes at no cost. Professional , friendly service. Highly recommend.
(5)Jarret L.
Came here for a meetup with a friend to grab breakfast. I had the waffles with scrapple and he had the breakfast combo. The coffee was good and the food was tasty. I need to try the Nutella french toast next time I go back.
(4)Warren T.
Lucked into this place while we were visiting Trenton across the river. It's a quaint little hole in the wall and we almost missed it. Friendly staff, good home style food and generous portions. Free wifi is also a bonus.
(4)Bella D.
Great food, great service, and such a cute location! Definitely a great place to go for breakfast.
(5)Dana H.
Just had the best French toast I've ever had. I got the breakfast combo and asked for over medium eggs, and they were cooked perfectly (with no runny whites)! Staff is very friendly and down to earth, and the atmosphere is very nice and clean, coffee is delicious. I highly recommend eating here!
(5)Denise B.
Great place for a real homemade breakfast. French toast was amazing. My boyfriend had the Ham and cheese omlette and just loved it. Our server Angelina was perfect. Very friendly and was there when we needed anything.
(5)Sandra W.
I love this place. I like the scrapple. I think they deep fry it so it's crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Service used to be great but they have new servers that don't care like the previous servers. Overall, very good food.
(4)Urban D.
Very nice people here. Their breakfast taste like you cooked it at home. Omelettes are great but pass on the hash browns if your used to a more seasoned potatoe. Their prices are reasonable and it's nice and clean on the inside. Hidden Gem for sure!!

I finally stopped in today to see what all the Yelpers were raving about. A few minutes after 12pm, I seated myself at the spacious counter and was immediately greeted by a friendly waitress. The regular lunch menu features burgers, wraps, sandwiches, salads and soups plus there were a number of chalkboard specials. One of those specials - the spinach strawberry almond salad - caught my eye. I added grilled chicken at the waitress's suggestion, and it was awesome. Fresh, delicious and HUGE - with lots of gorgonzola cheese! For a while, I ate and ate without making a dent in it. But in time, I conquered that salad and my efforts were worth it. My kind waitress checked in occasionally to make sure everything was on the up and up, and my unsweetened iced tea was promptly refilled. The grand total was about 12 bucks. But honestly, if I wasn't such an eating machine, I could've taken half of the salad home with me for another meal. This is probably the closest thing to a Jersey diner you'll find in PA - but it's got charm, and the menus weren't sticky! Furthermore, the hard-working, down-to-earth staff keep it real. I won't hesitate to go back at lunchtime. Keep in mind, by 12:30, almost all of the booths and tables were occupied. Clearly a local hidden gem. Cafe Chorba rocks!

I love Cafe Chorba! No matter what I get it is always a delicious choice. Today it was a busy Sunday and I brought an out of town guest. We were seated after a 5 minute wait. We each ordered a short stack of pancakes, scrambled egg, bacon and coffee. They always serve a silver dollar pancake on top of the stack. Pancakes are wonderful, bacon crisp, eggs fluffy and coffee very good and plentiful. Service was excellent, too. I never am disappointed!
(5)Christopher B.
This cafe is deliciously awesome had the sausage omelette with spinach onions and tomatoes with an order of the Belgian waffle with ice cream and whipped cream the portions are big I would definitely come back
(5)Kwaine M.
I found out about Cafe Chorba in a writeup from a newsletter. The place seemed legit. I read through the menu a few times before I decided to drive to the place. When I got there, looking and smelling the delicious breakfast meals others were eating, what I planned to order from the menu I dissected became a distant memory. I was going back and forth between the Hungry Man Special and the Breakfast Combo. I chose the Breakfast Combo and glad I did. The plate was humongous! When the server asked me if I needed anything else my reply was "A pillow" The meal put me to sleep!

Still a great morning wake up! Strong java. Well made breakfasts. Friendly, homey, service.
(5)Chris W.
Fantastic french toast, staff are very nice and helpful. The placw is always clean and well kept. I highly recommend this hidden gem in Morrisville.
(5)Stephen B.
I've had this place on my list for awile to eat at. And finally this morning desided to give it a try for breakfast. And Wow am I glad I did. It's one of those hidden cafes in alittle shopping center with few other stores. First time customer mabe alittle tuff to find. I tried one of the breakfast specials. French toast with, bananas, strawberrys and whipped cream, with breakfast syrup thrown on top. With a hot cup of coffee. it was definitely good and worth it. And mabe one of my most favorite breakfast to have. Always remember when entering to check out there specials for the day. There are quite a few to choose from. There menu is quite laid out to. The omelettes look good. Might have to give that a try. All in all the food is good and recommend this place. And will be back again for a good breakfast.
(5)Corey M.
This is a nice quaint little place hidden away in a strip mall and my sister and I decided to check it out after church. We both ordered the same thing...2 eggs scrambled with turkey sausage, hash browns and wheat toast. Our waitress was very friendly. The food came out very quickly. It was very tasty and done just right!! We cannot wait to go back again soon!! Everyone should give this place a try. You won't be disappointed! They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
(4)Shantelle C.
Excellent service! Staff was pleasant! Breakfast is fabulous. The French Toast is simply delicious. I am not a french toast person but I had a serving and throughly enjoyed it. Over medium eggs were perfect, the toast was perfectly toasted. Everything was hot and fresh!
(5)Richard N.
Hit or miss with the waitresess. A crab warned me about smartchip credit cards. Danks. U from Turnersville kid?

One and done. My husband and I split a turkey Apple panini because we know panini's are large sandwiches. It turns out there is a sharing charge of $2. The panini wasn't really a panini. It was a cold sandwich on toasted panini bread, kind of strange. It was ok and large. We split one half and took the other half to go. We were still charged the sharing fee and now it was $2.50. What a rip off. As we paid our bill and mentioned that we thought this was unreasonable, the employee stated that the management was terrible and there was nothing she could do about it. I felt sorry for her having to work under such conditions. I'm not sure it should have one dollar sign either, I believe two would be more accurate.
(1)Kelly C.
Good simple breakfast, reasonably priced, sausage and ham very flavorful, hashbrowns not as much.
(4)Mark V.
Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try for breakfast. The food was very good and the staff was attentive. I will be back again and look forward to try lunch.

Of all the breakfast-based restaurants I have been to, Chorba's is among the best. I've now been back three times and each time I have left satisfied. I've eaten the Meat lovers Omelet, breakfast sampler, and breakfast Panini. I've also sampled the French toast and pancakes thanks to my girlfriend. The location is a little hidden away, but the inside is very nice and relaxed. The wait staff each time has been prompt, kind, and always makes sure everything is well. Food is delivered hot and made to order. I especially enjoyed the home fries cooked extra crispy. Eggs were cooked spot on each time as well, which is a must at a breakfast place. It can be pretty crowded during the breakfast and lunch hour, even on the week days. Once it gets closer to 1-1:30, it tends to thin out a bit. The one thing I did not understand is that they are open until 3:00, but on the outside it says Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Perhaps they are referring to their food selection. I've yet to try a non-breakfast food simply because when I am craving breakfast, I go to Chorba's for the breakfast foods. The bottom line is that the service is good, the place is clean and relaxing. Food is served quickly, nice and hot. Price is very reasonable, and there is a good selection to choose from. If you're craving breakfast foods done right, make the trip to Chorba's.

[A note re: stars, it is in the context of what kind of restaurant this is. I'm not reviewing Aureole in NYC.] Cafe Chorba rocks. We went there for the second time today for breakfast, and it is without a question the best breakfast option in the area (Trenton/Morrisville/Lawrence/Princeton). To get anything else comparable for breakfast, you need to head down to Mastori's in Bordentown or Vincentown Diner. This review refers only to their breakfasts, as we haven't had anything else there yet. Service has been first rate for this type of neighborhood restaurant; down home friendly each time we've visited with our family. Kind, friendly and attentive wait staff without being annoying. Interior is nicely appointed and properly air conditioned (though not freezing) for the summer months. The pancakes are good, but the french toast is delicious - our daughters LOVE it. Where things really shine are their simple, but really solid bacon (or pork roll, if you choose) and eggs fare. The home fries are delightful - thinly sliced, potatoes cooked on the griddle to a crisp exterior; the closest thing I've found around here to my beloved west coast shredded hash browns. I ordered them well done and they were instant comfort food for me. Eggs to order and omelets are cooked properly, not overdone like pretty much everywhere else around here. The breakfast panini is awesome, but be warned, it's BIG. I ordered pork roll on the side my first visit, and sent it back to be crisped up a bit. Finally, today I decided to try the creamed chipped beef on toast. Oh my dear lord, is it good (though it probably takes a year off your life). The server told me it is made fresh, in house, with real butter and not the usual margarine, Tas-T-Fry or God knows whatever they usually use in commercial food prep. And I guess that's what the difference really is in this delightful, simple, nicely appointed, family-friendly restaurant. Someone is really paying attention and gives a damn in the kitchen. Things don't taste like they've been cooked in some kind of Sysco mystery oil, they taste like you'd like to be able to cook breakfast at home if you had a proper diner griddle. If you love breakfast and live in the area, check it out. And by the way - what a bargain. (We'll be back to have a burger for lunch someday - they were cooking some up when we left and they smelled great.)

Just moved to the area and wanted to find an inexpensive & delicious breakfast spot for the weekends. Well I must say this place did not disappoint! I had the breakfast panini and hash browns, my fiancé had the breakfast combo. We were so pleased with everything (food, service, ambiance) that we will MOST definitely be back soon. The portions are huge so bring an appetite!! Although it's hidden in the shopping complex so if you don't see it at first, keep looking it's there!! WELL WORTH IT!
(5)Demitri P.
This is our new go to breakfast place. Nice that it's local and we don't have to journey out to US 1 for a Diner experience. They do get busy weekend mornings, but it has rarely been an issue. Great pancakes and omelets. My daughter loves their breakfast sandwiches.
(5)Nicole E.
Went here for breakfast yesterday and it was very tasty. We had omelets and the cheddar cheese was actually cheese and not cheese wiz! A few reviews here listed problems with service, but we were there on a Sunday morning and had no problems at all. Our server was friendly and prompt and our food and drinks arrived in a timely fashion. We will be returning.

This Cafe is one notch below "dive" status. How anyone can provide a rating above a 1 star (I would have provided a 0 start rating if allowed) must be sitting on their taste buds, however my chief complaint is the total lack of customer service. One would think that if a person is a "server" and depends upon tips to supplement their "non living" wage, there are two things that a server should provide. 1) service, which includes losing the word "NO" from your vocabulary and 2) basic intelligence. I dropped in with a few guests today for a business lunch. God forbid, the customer is in the mood for a lack of shredded swine or beef flesh. Case in point, and here is where the intellect should kick in. I wanted to order a plain lettuce and tomato sandwich (which btw is not on the menu). However, coming close was a BLT. I asked the server if I could have the BLT without the bacon, since I don't eat meat. At first the retort was "NO". Then she stated "ok ", but it will still cost you $6.50 as if you ordered it WITH bacon I pondered her answer for a moment and wondered if she was serious. If she had no authority to modify prices or menu items, or make any intelligent decision at all, I would have thought she would have passed the thought onto someone who could make that decision. Obviously that was asking too much. Moral of the story: Tipping is a reward not a right or expectation. It seems certain people have forgotten that basic premise.

Have always been satisfied at Cafe Chorba. Excellent spot for breakfast, good service and great prices! There's a line out the door on Sundays around brunch time
(4)Bobby B.
Food is really good here! On my first visit I tried the Viola's Panini and a bowl of "Home Made" beef lentil soup, best lentil soup I've tatsed. Chorba is Turkish for soup, gotta try the soup here. It's hard to find good chili in this area too, they have it and it's tasty! The decor is really warm and inviting. The layout looks great for breakfast meetings and they have free WIFI.
(5)Lee G.
What a great place. Good food, great service, comfy atmosphere. Anyone who goes away hungry, has only their self to blame. More trips here for us!
(4)Melyni M.
The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the service wasn't that great. But, it was only one visit so I'm not going to let it discourage me. The food was delicious and affordable. The location is convenient. The atmosphere is pleasing. I was pleasantly surprised. Do not judge a book by its cover. Do not judge a restaurant based in a crummy shopping center. I will definitely be back and if I get better service, I will update my review.
(4)Peter H.
Food is consistently very good. Staff is friendly and personable. Price is reasonable.
(5)Sally W.
Really nice place for Breakfast or Lunch. Very nice staff. Food is delicious, they serve breakfast all day!
(4)Ashley K.
My husband is a regular here several times a week, usually for a breakfast omelet. For me, their salads can't be beat, and I also love their breakfasts, especially to indulge in the french toast. They know us by name, and they're great people! They were serving dinner for a while but stopped recently, which is a shame because their alfredo sauce was probably the best thing I've ever eaten. If we were made of money and not dieting, we'd probably eat here constantly, but even with those things not being true, it's a great, affordable place where you can make health-conscious choices.
(5)margaret f.
Love, love, love Chorbas... They are the perfect breakfast, lunch, brunch spot. The staff are awesome.... Try the greek omlet, or hamburger cabbage soup, you won't be disappointed --- i'd give them 10 thumbs up!!!!!!
(5)Rick C.
Great breakfast spot (food is not greasy like most places), decent coffee, waitresses are "OK".
