This restaurant had the potential to be really great, but service was slow. We walked in and no one welcomed us for quite some time. Once seated, ou Ur waitress was extremely knowledgeable and friendly; however her attention was taken by a large banquet type party she was helping with. Out drinks and soup came quick but the wait for dinner was long. The menu was huge and the prices were very inexpensive. Both the brocoli and chicken tortilla soups were tasty. For $5.99 I got a soup, salad, and choice of a slider. It was surprisingly filling. If we stopped here, I would have probably rated it a 4. The problem was we wanted dessert and after 20 minutes gave up and asked for the check. The dessert menu was interesting and I would have liked to try it. This restaurant has a lot for kids and a large selection for breakfast. You can even pick up a fresh pie or ice cream to go. To be fair, if we are out this way again, I'd be willing to give them another chance.

This place claims to have gluten free items on their menu. Their gluten free selections include such things as burgers.....(without the bun); Salads (without dressing)....or eggs. It is absolutely infuriating to me when places like this claim to have gluten free items.... NO YOU DON'T!!!. I had a burger with no bun and Cole slaw... The slaw had a piece of deep fried batter in it... How did that get there? How does deep fried batter make it's way into Coleslaw? How does deep fried batter make its way into Coleslaw when a person orders from the "gluten free" portion of the menu? Terrible.....

Good food and nice service people. Love their club sandwich and the breakfasts are very good.

Some people get drunk on a Saturday night and do something stupid and crazy. I'm much more likely to EAT something stupid and crazy on a Saturday night, sober of course. In my case it was the Triple Decker Black Angus Cheeseburger for a late dinner, and the Double Fudgin' Trouble Sundae for dessert. One immortal dietary abomination, the DFTS is centered around a scoop of vanilla ice cream but is upstaged by the inclusion of King's famous antithesis of Eat 'N Park's Smiley Cookie; the perpetually ill-tempered and genius Frownie. You get two, and in this case... ...brace yourselves. They are deep-fried. This is not a tall tale. This is legit. You also get "cinnamon strips" (cinnamon-coated dough). They merely get in the way. Who needs to hit the state fairs with King's around? What's shocking is that the sundae was created to help fund a worthy cause! According to their website, "For every Double Fudgin' Trouble Sundae purchased, Kings donates a portion of the proceeds to the Veterans Leadership Program of Western PA, a worthwhile charity who has helped thousands of local veterans find jobs and housing since 1982." vlpwpa.org

Some people like Eat N Park while others prefer Kings. I am one of those who prefer Kings. I have never had bad service and the food has always been decent. I have been there for breakfast and for lunch and find that their food is always better than Eat N Park. I went there this past summer with a friend who had a baby. Her baby was starting to eat sold foods and at least half of the food was on the floor. The waitress was extremely friendly and didn't even bat an eye. When I tried to clean up a little before leaving she told me not to worry about it and that she would take care of it.

I going to miss coming to this King's since it's very clean, modern and has free Wi fi as well.

Ah, Kings. The bottom rung of the local diner-esque chains. When Eat 'n Park or Perkins are haute cuisine compared to you, you are in real trouble. Slow service, soggy fries, out of several menu items on a slow Tuesday. I would feel Badly for the place if I didn't just pay for it.

Kings has the best vegetable beef soup. Plenty of vegetables and pieces of beef more like steak.

Horrible! Will never go back. Got what was suppose to be a cheeseburger quesadilla, instead it looked like someone scraped burnt left over meat off a grill and threw it on a wrap and crumbled it in their hand. No joke it was awful!

Composite review. King's is variable in quality of food, presentation, and service. This one is okay as these chain systems go. Waitresses have been helpful; indeed often far more so than some of the upscale "foodie" venues I have been to recently. Food -- basic hamburger for me in places to see what their "grille" skills are. King's hamburger was fine -- but nothing interesting or special. To me this is a great lunch venue. f8 and be there.

I'm in here 1-2 times a week for breakfast and it never disappoints. You get to see the same staff over and over. The ladies that work here move fast and keep good tabs on you when you are in there eating. Prices are good and the service is friendly. Good value for morning breakfast. Never any issues here.

The food is just really awful... I mean really really bad. However, the coffee was good and the server was pleasant.

My family loves this King's in Monaca. Every time we come here, our food is good and the waitresses are friendly and efficient. The most recent time we went, I had the tuna melt and my Mom & sister got breakfast. The food was all cooked perfectly and tasted great. They have reasonable prices that make it affordable for a family to dine out together. While we were eating, a very friendly woman who happened to be the assistant store manager, came to our table to check on us and make sure the food and service were good. We also got homemade pie to take home that was excellent. It's nice to go some where that's homey and reminds me of how diners used to be. We will keep coming back!
