Great food. Relaxed atmosphere. Awesome crab soup. Friendly. Had sports in flat screen TVs. Family run business.

The food is decent but mostly bad choices for anyone who cares about nutrition and calorie counting. Staff friendly. Service slow. I don't mean to be unkind, but let's face it: the place is a dump. We were there early, looks like hell raising is ok.

Excellent hidden gem! Decided to check this place out after reading some yelp reviews and very happy we did. I highly suggest the crab soup to start and definitely finish off with the funnel cake straws. My husband and I also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and an order of the hot wings. Overall great food and very friendly staff. Happy to support this family run local business and will definitely be back for more.

We found this place on Yelp and as it was a late Monday night and on our way (we were just passing thrugh) we decided to give it a try. The people were super nice, the place was clean and the food was fine. We had sweet potatoes fries that were piping hot and not too greasy and an iceberg salad that was large and had your basic toppings and the crab soup which was yummy....plenty for our late night and certainly way better than any chain cisco food alternative. We live supporting local businesses and these folks were so sweet we'll certainly book mark it for the return trip.

Let me ask you a question: do you like a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where the drinks are heavy and the food is good? A family-run bar, Blue Room is the gem of Middletown, without question. Its neighbors north on Union get more attention, but I think Blue Room has better food and service. The seating options are plentiful. The main room has the wrap-around bar and tables. The back room has a number of tables for more intimate conversation. Then there's the outdoor patio seating, which is next to the cornhole area. All in all, a wide variety of options to fit any objective. If that doesn't pique your interest, you will get lost soaking in the history-themed decor, including an extensive family tree on the wall. There's also an oddly large portrait of Frank Sinatra's mugshot, but that's none of my business, if you know what I mean. Unlike other Middletown bars, this one is actually smoke-free, which is a huge plus in my book. And the prominently displayed dress code reminds gentlemen that the atmosphere might be relaxed, but that doesn't mean you can just wear a sleeveless shirt and expect to be served. It's hard to imagine a "classy" local bar, but Blue Room fits the bill to a T. As for food, I recommend the fire balls.

Atmosphere .....Local flavor..Food....Fantastic ......first. time here with a local friend Had a burger that was cooked to perfection. My friend had a wrap with cantelope bacon, lettuce, and mayo.....Excellent. highly recommend. You may drive right pass. Make sure to stop for some good food.

This place was amazing. We ate here after we arrived on a train and were looking for a place to hang out. Outside of the bartender our party of three were the only people there. The bartender/cook was super nice and personable. The place has a quality beer selection, seating outside, and games (including a dart board, cornhole, and a Wii!). I can't really rate the food because all we had were the fries but they were solid and the menu looked vast and delicious. This dive/townie bar rocks and I would recommend it in a heart beat to anyone needing a watering hole and some good bar food.

Blue Room is a nice spot near Three Mile Island. For a family-run bar, the food cooked on premises is pretty decent. The advertised sausage pasta isn't going to win any awards, but the woman who cooks it is bright and friendly and it's a good, enormous accompaniment to two pints of Lager. The damage, as I recall, was under $20. This outlay was well compensated by the opportunity to eavesdrop on locals. It's refreshing to be somewhere where a complaint about union politics "in the big city" begs the question, "Hershey or Harrisburg?"

I may be biased since my PA family own this, but their burgers are the best in town. Menu is vast and makes it hard on what to eat, but whatever you pick, you can't go wrong. Definitely a gem in Middletown.
