There is nothing wrong with this chain restaurant, and as far as franchise sit down restaurants go, this is one of the better ones. Unfortunately, it gets four stars because it's an American franchise restaurant dressed up in British clothing. For anyone thinking you may get to relive the genuine tastes of the uk. . . This is not the place to do so. It's American and feels like American throughout. If you know that beforehand, this is still a nice, inexpensive restaurant to eat at when shopping the outlets.

The atmosphere was casual and fun. The bar looks like a good place to spend a happy hour. The prices were fair and the food was very good. Every meal my party had looked and tasted excellent. Honestly, I would have rated it 4.5 if not for the service. The gentleman waiter was poor. He had no personality at the table and it was hard to ask for something because it seemed like he was going to scold us. He left plates on the table and when he would drop off drinks he wouldn't even respond to a thank you. I imagine that the majority of this business's customers are outlet shoppers- but I live locally. I wish they would focus on the customer service side- because I would come back if it wasn't for the service.

Bad food. I had the Guiness Meatloaf after waitress said it was good. Ugh. Like a dry compressed meat brick. Broccoli was bland, no seasoning. Potatoes were dry. My wife had a salad which was OK, but the chicken on it was totally dry and hard to eat. Service was average at best. Try a different place.

The Elephant and Castle was interesting, I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in. It has a English pub theme that they somehow pull off in a dated way. Not sure about the cleanliness, my shoes stuck to the floors in the bathroom, I guess that happens every now and then... The waitress, Jessica Cann was very pleasant and very good at her job, now I feel bad that I didn't tip her better. She was attentive and took care of everything with a smile on her face the whole time. I had the beef dip and my wife had fish and chips. The food was very, very good. Everything was cooked perfectly and for the money it was reasonably priced. This is my first time here, if they are consistent with the menu items I would be back all the time! To bad I live 70 miles away. Very pleased with this place overall, worth a try!

Very nice bar/ restaurant. Excellent food and good service. Bar service is great, Julie is a great bartender. You also get 10% off with hotel card. That's my stop when in town.

Came to this place after a loooong day of shopping @ Grove City premium outlets. The servers are very nice but the food however....! Ordered the smothered chicken & the cranberry chicken salad...I have to say..we ate 2 bites and we couldn't take it no more! The food was super greasy and the chicken was extremely dry!!! Could feel my arteries getting clogged..lol! If you like greasy..I mean super greasy food..this is your joint! No thanks!

Good English/Irish style pub food in a spacious, comfortable environment with friendly, helpful staff. Pros: The food is very tasty and what you would expect menu wise from an English/Irish style Pub. The menu is quite large though so most folks could find sonething. Fiendly and hekpful staff. Easy in and out right off of I-79 and by the outlets malls. Cons: Not a lot of healthy or nutritious food options and the lettuce for salads is entirely iceberg.

So I would never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone! First I went in and was put on the list for a table. When I asked about how long the wait would be the hostess looked anxious and said "About 5 minutes." 25 minutes later as I was walking in to check if my pager was not working it went off. I watched The other hostess cross my name off the list, it was 1/2 down on the list with about 8 names below mine already crossed off. I had watched about 4 groups that came after me go in. What? Single people get shafted for bigger parties? I was not offered a seat at the bar, even though I would have turned it down, nor was I ever offered an outside table, of which there were 7 open when I signed in. So the hostess escorts me to my table. She drops the menus on the edge of the table and keeps walking with just a word or two over her shoulder "Here you go". The table was incredibly sticky. So much so that my Room key card stuck to it. I was there because they offered a 10% discount with that card. I had to use a piece of paper to pick it up. Brandon my waiter came and he was nice if very busy. I gave him my drink order. Yea, I don't drink alcohol and the only offering besides soda or tea was pink lemonade. The lemonade was watery and not very good. My food came out and Brandon said "Enjoy" and disappeared before I could tell him I had no silverware. About 10 minutes of my trying to get his attention or either of the hostesses attention I snagged Brandon. He apologized and went and got me my silverware. The Fork was warmer then my food. There was no seasoning on my broccoli or my "garlic" mashed potatoes. The potatoes were 2 large ice cream scoops of dry unseasoned ughhh on my plate. Ever thought to garnish or add some butter? I never expect any seasonings on my meat and there was none. Since I like my medium-rare meat more rare then medium it was cooked well. I added a tad bit salt and pepper to my meat and ate it all. However The broccoli and potatoes I left way more on the plate then I ate. I am not a huge dessert person but when Brandon asked if I was interested I thought maybe a cup of coffee and a chocolate treat would help my mood. But alas that was not to be either as BOTH chocolate desserts have nuts....... While I do not have an allergy I prefer not to have nuts on my brownie or in my chocolate cream pie.... So I paid my bill and left.

This place is A-OK in my book. Recently came here and sat at the bar. The bartender was a bit rough around the edges, but well intentioned. Also, felt awkward when I witnessed a little squabble between the wait staff, an older gentleman and a young girl, right by the front door. Nonetheless, had the Steak salad, and it was quite tasty. Not exactly the most healthy salad, but quite tasty. In fact, I thought it was better than any salad I've ever had at Rachel's. Overall, a pretty OK place to grab a meal. Not the best, not the worst. I won't mind coming back here in the future.

So-so place. Tired bar area that needs some sprucing and a facelift. Bar top is sticky as though the varnish is lifting. Bar itself is beautifully designed with heavy wood and stained glass in the English pub style. But there are huge tacky signs propped up on the top bar shelves with average domestic beer offering specials. One would expect at least one seperate English cask beer tap to be present in an English style bar. Nope, almost all domestic common taps. The staff, though all friendly when you get their attention, busily chat behind the hostess booth and near the bathroom hall about how busy they aren't, and sound glad! While there is a short English typical food offering piece to the menu, the rest of the menu is disjointed processed tasting American items which don't even merit a review. The fish & chips greasy and without flavor. Homemade chips again floating in grease. Crab dip was liquidy and without substance, no visible crab in it. That needs to be clarified as crab "flavored" dip, even then that is a stretch. The restaurant and pub overall appears and had a "tired", lackluster and unfocused feeling. Also the woodwork in the restrooms is very shopworn - that is being kind. This could be a real gem and one that doesn't appear to be grasping at every latest trend and lumping them into a potpourri of confusion for customers expecting most menu selections, overall beer and drinks, as well as decor to be all cohesive and in keeping with the beautiful British name it boasts!

Good place to refuel after an 88 mile bicycle ride on the Allegheny River Trail. I enjoyed the cold draft beer and shepherds pie. All the calories and starch the body needs for recovery. The Apple Stuffing on the bottom. Sweet and savory. Recommend

The waiter spilled a drink all over my 3 month old baby. The manager on duty, Matt, came over to the table, and acknowledged that the waiter spilled a drink on my baby. He acted as if it wasn't a big deal, and didn't even offer any kind of comp. I understand that accidents happen but this is just poor business and poor customer service. The food wasn't good either.

Very disappointing visit to the Elephant and Castle. I stopped for lunch/dinner on a Sunday afternoon after visiting the Grove City outlet mall. I was seated at a two top along one wall in a very dark part of the restaurant. The blinds were closed, presumably to block the bright sunshine but it made it really dark for 4pm in the afternoon. My waitress came to get my drink order and looked very disappointed that I was dining alone. She brought my water but then disappeared for quite some time before taking my order. Once she did I went to hand her the menu and drink menu but the drink menu was stuck to the table - yuck! She saw it stuck but never offered to clean the table. The food came pretty quickly but that is about all that was good about it. The fries were not "chips" but rather American style fries and the fish bland. The breading was nice and crisp but somehow the fish inside was soggy with little flavor. Even adding the tarter and some vinegar did not help and I left half on my plate. The cole slaw that came with it was quite good and the best part of the meal. Maybe it was my choice of entree but I don't get the good ratings here, my experience was certainly "meh".

Went here with a work group on Saturday night. The place was packed, but our party of 6 was immediately seated. We all ordered something different (fish and chips, wings, smothered chicken, Thai salad, cranberry walnut salad, and a cheeseburger). When the food came out, we were all wowed with the presentation, and when we tried it, we were all thoroughly impressed. Everything we had was delicious. Our service was also fantastic given the place was packed. After being in town for a week and eating out every meal, we all agreed this was the best food we have had so far. I'm hoping to return before we leave, but if not, I'll be back the next time I come to the area.

Great beer selection and solid menu, including traditional British dishes like shepherd's pie and bangers, beans, and mash. One of my personal favorites for the Grove City area.

Reviews prove very true. I also got broccoli as my seasonal veg. Yorkshire pudding was very bland and yes thinly sliced grey meat. Stacy had a union jack chicken sandwich which was over cooked and dry. Overall not what I was hoping for, but the reviews spoke volumes.

There are not exactly epicurean delights found in most rural Pennsylvania eateries and this restaurant belies that truism. I was hoping the 3 star reviews for this place would provide a comforting end to an otherwise difficult travel day from Michigan, but I left the restaurant hungry for dinner after not able to eat much of what I ordered. My mistake may have been ordering anything other than beer and a burger, but if you have food on the menu you should be able to produce a quality experience. I ordered the "homemade" quiche and while it certainly looked like something from someone's kitchen it was not restaurant quality. It was more like a slice of overcooked egg pizza (if that makes sense), with a thick crust, mushy topping, and bland flavors. The house salad was large and contained a mix of greens including the butts of iceberg lettuce that required elbow grease to cut through, accompanied by 1 (one) cherry tomato, 1 (one) very thick slice of cucumber, and 4 croutons. The ranch dressing was flavorless. The server told me "that's how we make the side salad", when I questioned the skimpy offering. The one bright spot came when the server decided on her own to comp my bill after she saw how little I had eaten and I shared my unpleasant eating experience with her. She was sweet to do this and, honestly, before she saw how little i cared for the food, she all but threw the plates on the table when she waited on me and seemed very disinterested in her job. The happy ending to the story (for me) was getting a tasty salad from the Sheetz gas station/store; which, I guess was a sad ending for this restaurant to be outdone by a gas station.

We stop by here on a whim and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere here was not bad, kind of like a local chain. We enjoyed the housemaid chip appetizer. My spicy burger was perfectly cooked and the seasoning / condiments we're right on point. My wife had the pierogi pasta and loved it! She plans on making it at home next time she has the opportunity. The service was really the only part of our visit that was lacking. They were not overly busy, yet our server was not very attentive. I think the price of the food was reasonable for the quality that we received. If you're in the area give it a shot and see what you think. This place seems to have a lot of mixed reviews, your experience can be completely different than ours.

After about 10-15 visits I now feel I have a reliable review for this restaurant. My husband and I LOVE it. The food is fantastic and the service is typically spot on. We have had two poor servers since we started dining in at Elephant and Castle but the food is always perfect so we feel it makes up for two less than great servers whom we've never had a second time. I highly suggest the meatloaf dinner and their sangria's.

We ate here in August of 2014. The service was great. Their chicken wings were some of the best I have ever had and they had a very berry Sangria which was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Great service from the bartender . Ordered chicken leek with chunks of Potatoes. Delish! The shepherds pie had a funky gravy but still edible . Walking distance to outlets and hotels .

It's a chain, folks. Three stars for the average - yet, suitable food. Four stars for the awesome bartender. Would definitely come back for the nachos and a beer.

The bleu cheese burger was the best I've had. They put caramelized onions on it which was different for me, but I think it helped add to the flavor of the burger! My husband had the Yorkshire pudding and said that it was good but a little more bland than expected.

Went here against my recommendation for my cousins birthday. I wasn't so upset because it gave me an excuse to stop at the outlets :) I want to start with saying our waiter was GREAT. If I based this solely on service, I'd give 5 stars. I don't think I've ever had my coffee or water topped off so many times. He was very attentive and answered any and all of our questions about the menu. The food was just so disappointing. I got a steak salad. The veggies didn't taste fresh at all and my steak was severely over-cooked. That is a pet peeve of mine. I asked for meduim and ended up with well-done. My boyfriend had the chicken pot pie. I had a few bites, and it was just bland. No taste at all. The veggies probably came out of a can. We got the nacho's for an appetizer. Nacho's with cheese, chili, and guac at an "English" food place..... weird. I don't really appreciate when places say they serve a type of food and randomly have popular dishes thrown in there.

This is a good place to land for dinner after a long day shopping at the outlet mall. They have an extensive beer list, but nothing outstanding on the list. The food is fresh and hearty. They have English dishes such as Bangers and Mash, Shepard's Pie, Yorkshire Pudding and Fish & Chips. They also serve wraps, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pizzas, and a few entrees. The food is always good and we've tried several things. The service staff is friendly. You may have to wait depending what time of day you come. The locals like to dine here too.

You're eating food at a chain restaurant situated on the outskirts of an outlet mall. What do you expect? It's fine. Most food is passable and as good as anything you'd get at a chain restaurant out there: edible if you're hungry, and hey sometimes even tasty, depending on what you order. If I stop, I generally go with the fish and chips. It's not a bad piece of fried fish and even better, it's huge. It won't blow your mind and you'll probably forget about the meal a few minutes after leaving, but hell, it sure beats McDonald's.

The food was excellent! Thus was my second visit and I will continue to go out of my way to eat here. We had the Irish stew and the Guinness meatloaf. The food was served quickly and was delicious! I have also had the Shepard's pie on my last visit and would recommend that as well. Very good food and service.

A pleasant surprise for a "chain" restaurant. Great atmosphere and our server (Amber) was fantastic- very friendly(great personality) and helpful despite being very busy. Lots of great choices on the menu and everything we ordered was good (pierogies, meatloaf, beef sand which, cheeseburger, and nachos). Best French onion soup I've had in a long time. Was definitely worth stopping on our way thru.

The food choices are a bit different. Not that they were cooked badly, just not my cup of tea I suppose. Friendly waitress.

I liked the English pub vibe. I liked our waitress. I loved my ice cold beer. However, the food was another story. I ordered the beans, bangers and mash. It was served literally 5 minutes later. In other words, long enough for a line cook to slap the food on a plate. Nothing was warm. The beans were from a can with nothing added. The bangers were some microwaved pre-cooked BS. The mash was a glob of cold starch. They were supposed to have garlic, but any kind of flavor was undetectable. My advice is to have a few beers here, then stumble over to Wendy's for some food.

I drove up from the 'burgh - to go to the outlets and to check this place out. First of all - it is truly authentic - they deserve BIG Kudos for that - too many British Themed 'Pubs" try WAY too hard, with Union Jacks all over the place, along with British themed pictures/murals - for a while I wondered if there was some sort of Federal Mandate that if you opened a British themed restaurant - you had to have pictures of the Queen, Beatles (Preferably multiple pics covering Mop Top, Sargent Pepper and Abbey Road eraa) and various London Landmarks - plus for Extra credit for a pic of Austin Powers. They had none of this, truly the look feel and atmosphere could be anywhere in the UK. I gather Elephant and Castle is a small chain - they took the trouble to research what a UK Pub is REALLY like. Staff was really friendly - and even though it was "just me" - I can't say table for one - they didn't ask if I wanted to sit at the bar, even through it was busy! Slightly disappointing though was the Beer - NO British Beer on Tap! only Boddingtons in Cans - they did have Smithwicks though OK - so what about the food, well they do have a wide variety on the Menu, including several traditional British items - which they say are made from original recipes - I went for the Beef, Yorkshire pudding and gravy, I was prepared to be disappointed especially with the Yorkshire pudding, but two thumbs way up! It was excellent and definitely something I could have had in Blighty! the menu said it came with "Seasonal Vegetables" - that really should have been "Vegetable" and they must have gotten a very good deal on Broccoli that week. I saw several portions of Fish and Chips come past my table - I was by the kitchen , they looked authentic and I plan on coming back and finding out if they are. I would say if you are coming here, then try something in tune with the places theme. After all you wouldn't go to a Mexican place and have a Burger. Apart from Primati's they are they only other Full Service Option by the outlet mall - its easy to dismiss them and say they aren't trying because they have a captive audience. All I saw was a team that was trying hard - the food I has was good, and I just need another excuse to come up here.

After shopping all day, we decided to sit down for a beer and some food at the closest place we could find. At 4 pm on a Sunday, we were sat right away. The waitress was super friendly. The wings were really good (saucy, and the skin had just the right amount of crispiness), as was the barbeque/bacon/cheddar burger (I don't remember what it was called, specifically). Cooked perfectly medium, as I had requested!

  • Rachel L.

E&C is pretty standard in every way but it would earn 3 1/2 stars in my book. A great stop if you're out at the outlets or for happy hour ($2 well drinks and half off drafts? yes, please). People complaining about dirty tables: when it's busy, they do have a habit of seating you somewhere and thennn making sure it's clean, but even after a good wipe, I think the coating on the table is just always sticky. This is a nice place if you're a local college student and just want different food/a casual date. I'd recommend anything on the menu that's.. recommended. They have items listed as pub favorites you should definitely go for and wings are always good (when they don't run out!).

This place is just ok. Not "A-Ok" 3 stars, but ok. I stopped here for lunch on my walk back to our hotel from a little outlet shopping (as it seemed a more palatable option than Wendy's or Hoss's...). I chose to eat at the bar and the first think I noticed is the stools seem a bit dirty, as they're cloth, as opposed to an easier to clean/maintain material. Gross. The beer selection doesn't lack in quantity, but it does in quality. I went w/the Erie IPA, the only IPA either on draft or in bottles. The menu is what you'd expect w/standard fare. Nothing jumped out at me and I went w/a quesadilla. It was ok. Just ok. The bartender was friendly and adept at her job. With so many wonderful Springfield Group restaurants (Rachel's, Iron Bridge, Springfield Grille) w/in a 5-10 minute drive, there's no need to eat here when in the area.

sub-par experience. -1 for being sat at a dirty table. after we asked the waitress to wipe it down, it was still sticky. -1 for non-professional service. our waitress blamed her previous night's party habits for her poor performance at work. really? +0 for standard pub atmosphere +1 for good pub pretzels +1 for draft special on Yuengling -1 for dirty silverware (had to ask for a clean fork) -1 for being too warm inside. it reached at least 80 degrees. when asked about it, the waitress complained about it too (instead of doing anything about it). +1 for great pub chips (french fries). +1 for large burger. +1 for our server making an effort to step up her professionalism once she saw how frustrated we were becoming. i hesitate to recommend this place. it's conveniently located by the outlet mall. if you're not already at the mall, i vote to find somewhere else to eat.

ABSOLUTELY NO. I have been here twice. Twice they have messed up my check and refused to fix it. Horrible services. One time the waiter spilled tea in my soup and rather than replace it said "looks like you're about done with that". Service is subpar, food is below average, and their attitude towards any issues is just horrible. I will NEVER go back

  • Angie L.

I wasn't quite sure what to order at a place like this, granted I'm also not a big beer drinker so a pub might not be the best place for me. Nevertheless, food was average, service was great. Will come again with friends when I'm nearby shopping! Oh ya, the entrance is tricky, doesn't connect from the outlets. You have to turn left on the road and the turn left into the parking lot.

I've been going to E&C occasionally for about 30 years, in 2 countries and over a half-dozen cities. I've never been disappointed. One bit of advice: It is a Brit pub so order Brit food. Seems simple enough.

Walking in to this place I'm greeted by the crypt-keeper whom is wearing a suit from the early 1970's or they just came from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I'm a big fan psychedelic rock but seeing this and looking at the reaction of my daughters face was priceless. WOW! This place is dark, English pub dark without the coolness of a hearing flogging molly from the surround sound. The music that we were subjected to was Air Supply, Electric Light Orchestra, Smuggler's Blues from the Miami Vice sound track and what was really surreal was hearing Peter Gabriel and then Phil Collins and I started to REALLY lose focus with hearing Genesis. Jesus pick a music theme and stop jerking me around. Now the environment, being from Arizona I'm used to being warm in fact I like it HOT. But it was horrible hot in this place, I asked the wait staff can we get it cooler in here? I'm now wondering which ring of Hell we have fallen into as I gaze over to see Dante having a beer. The waiter was really beat tired,, you could see it on his face and I actually felt bad for him, you could see the years of work written all over him and its something I would expect to be captured in life magazine picture but not at our table. I ordered the roast beef which was really fatty and the wife and kids ordered fish and chips which came to us cold and the waiter didn't come for a refill for any of us as we are SITTING UNDER A NASA TEST ROCKET. I walked up to the crypt-keeper and said we need our check now! Now that I reading my own review I'm dropping a star.

Friendly Service, 1/2 Price Appetizers after 9pm on weekenights is a great deal A bit pricey for pub food, but it's what you would expect with the outlets right next door

Good food, a little pricey. Tried the salmon entree, and it was a good size portion and tasted great. Couldn't justify pricing on some of the other entrees though. But I'll probably try it out next time.

A bit nervous about the negative reviews before going and ended up being pleasantly surprised. This is NOT a 5 star restaurant, it is basically a notch above TGIFridays or an upscale Chili's. I had a starter, an entree and 2 glasses of the house wine for $21 not including a tip. And I left a nice tip because the service was good. You're at a restaurant next to an outlet mall in the boonies of Pennsylvania, let's rachet down the highbrow rhetoric and be happy with a good meal at a reasonable price.

I've been to this restaurant many times now and have always had good food, but something is always just a bit...odd. I've had the following and been very pleased: Guinness meatloaf, nachos, quesadilla, thai chicken salad, wings, burgers, and my friend loves the grilled chicken salad. I've also had these dishes which were just ok: crab dip, some sort of ranch chicken wrap that had no ranch, and the steak salad. They are out of mint for mojitos every time I go. Now for the odd....each time I go SOMETHING is weird such as: once my meatloaf was served COLD like right out of the fridge cold. Once, my quesadilla had NO food in the two end pieces. The next time, the quesadilla was empty in one of the end pieces and the guy just told me that they have the meat 'portioned out and thats just how it's served' and walked away, another time I asked if they had anything like chili or ground beef for my nachos and the server told me they would have to charge me for a hamburger (???). All but the one quesadilla time, everything was sorted out, but I've never had so many ODD things happen at one place!!!

My first GOOD meal in PA! Thank you Elephant Castle! Even though I just ordered the chicken wings, they were really good! Not too spicy, not too greasy. Then again, it's pretty hard to do chicken wings wrong. My co-workers seemed to be pretty satisfied with their choices as well. A few got the steak and chips and one got the chicken stir fry. I didn't personally try their food, but they said it was tasty. The service was fast and the prices are pretty cheap. 14.99 for the steak dinner and 7.99 for about 12 or so hot wings. We also got an additional 15% off because of the hotel we were staying at. I will probably come back here before I leave PA. Good job Elephant Castle!

We went to the Grove City Outlet store complex a couple of years ago and the place was sorely lacking in places to eat. There weren't enough and what places were here were lesser quality places like park and eat. So while Elephant and Castle is a step in the right direction, they still need something nice here if they really want to make this destination have a draw to it. The parking lot looked crowded, but once inside it is large and we need not have worried about getting a table. The servers all seem to wear Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys which tells you something about the level of the place. We both ordered the fish and chips, which the server raved about how they have the best. But when it came, it was just so so. The server couldn't understand that we didn't find it to be the best we ever had and wanted to know where we'd had better. So we found it to be an adequate place, but certainly nothing to get excited about.

When we arrived, one of the servers, Shannon, was delightful. I sure wish she was who had been assigned our table. Shannon was professional, pleasant, warm, and just downright lovely. She even went above and beyond and brought drinks to our table (not our server) immediately, and before we asked, because the kids were complaining of being hot. To our later disappointment, a male server took over. He was course, distracted, ambivalent, and just ugh! Zero personality, zero genuine patron service, just zero. I asked about the size of the kids' fish & chips in proportion to the full size entree; he said "not much smaller." The full size portion was clearly three times the size of the kids' meal. He didn't get that straight but when I asked about the house salad ingredients, this is how he responded: "Three lettuce blend. Three cheese blend. One cucumber. One tomato. Three croutons." Seriously? The food was emergency travel food at best. Better than EatNPark, but...

Our service was excellent and the nachos were great. This is our third time and the food has always been good. Fun!

We started the evening here not wanting to sit down because of the crumbs and food on our table. The waitress passively apologized and did a quick wipe. The pretzels were good and the mustard was mild with a good spice. My wife handed me a dirty fork that I just let sit there as we didn't really need it but nonetheless it was one more unclean strike. The temperature strangely continued to climb and I was unable to appropriately take any more clothes off so... I dealt with it. When you're out with friends from out of town you try to keep the environment positive. I was really hoping the food was going to be good and it did not disappoint. I had a good sized burger and my wife had the chicken artichoke wrap. We split them both and had their English cut chips (French fries) on the side. I was very happy with the meal and just hope that the cleanliness, temperature, and service would improve. There a not a whole lot of options by the outlets so this place could do really well if they stepped up these things Recommend with hesitation.

First of all, it is British food, not known for flavor. And they keep in step with the British tradition. Had the Yorkshire pudding, which in and of itself was cooked spot on. The beef that went with it, on the other hand was not, it was sliced on a slicer, grey and bland. I guess I was expecting pieces of pot roast. One of my guests had the Irish stew which looked like a plate of up chuck. The chicken fingers appetizer was very good and the fish and chips I saw delivered to another table looked delicious. Kinda wished I would have got that instead. The waitress was very brassy but friendly, I think she may have been a bouncer in another life.

Went on Monday evening for dinner with coworkers. Service was s-l-o-w. It took over an hour to get our food (my water was empty most of that time) and another hour after that to get the check. Food was average. I got a chicken wrap that was ok. Some colleagues complained their rice was yucky and another had to send her steak back because it was overbooked. We are in town staying at a hotel for 2 weeks but we won't be going back.

Really enjoyed my lunch. Got the chicken ceaser salad. Salad was crisp, dressing wasn't too thick and the chicken was amazing. Pleasantly surprised.

Think TGI Fridays. Now think TGI Fridays trying to be as British as Madonna. Voila, Elephant and Castle Pub. I had the Chicken Wrap which was pretty terrible and - of course - nothing says "pardon me while I go to the loo" like a chicken soft taco. Mom opted for the gi-normous beer battered fried (heart attack) fish samich which was very tasty (heart attack) although the bun choice could have been better. East Coast folks have yet to be spoiled by the likes of Dutch Crunch rolls and it shows. The fries were a redeeming quality by far. Yum. Perched beside of a Wendy's by the Grove City Outlets (classy), the parking lot looked packed but it was actually pretty easy seating. I would guess that this is probably a step up from the other options within a .5 mile radius, such as King's and Eat-N-Park. Enjoy!

Excellent! Best fish and chips around. Tons of different beers! Great service!! Check it out when you go to the Grove City outlet mall!

An English pub in Grove City, Pa? No, definitely not. But at least they are trying. It has the feel of your typical chain restaurant with the same types of cuisine. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, and some choice English dishes, like fish & chips. I had heard some good things about their food so a coworker and I decided to give it a try. We went on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't very busy. We were seated right away and our server was prompt with taking our drink order. I decided on the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and a side of broccoli. I know! It's not your typical pub fair but it sounded so good because of the Guinness barbecue sauce. It was really good. I enjoyed the whole meal. The meatloaf was moist, the sauce was sweet yet had the earthiness and bite of Guinness, the mushrooms were fresh and flavorful (i believe they were your standard button). The broccoli was probably my least favorite because it was steamed and didn't have much flavor. But it was still a nice accompaniment to the heavy meat and potatoes. It was a huge portion as well and I ended up taking half back to my room. Good meal, reasonably priced and fine service. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a tasty meal in Grove City.

We had lunch here the other day... We got the crab dip for an appetizer... it was good, not great. Mostly melted cream cheese.... :-/ For our entrees, I had a buffalo chicken wrap (my go-to if i can't decide on anything else - I LOOOVE buffalo chicken anything!) ... It was the worst buffalo chicken I have ever had. The sauce was just - yuk. My husband said that its my fault for ordering that at a "british pub" ... but I did have a spicy turkey corn chowder for my side, and it was really good! He got some beef au jous sandwich... he really liked it. Maybe we'll go again on another trip to the outlets, I dunno - if i go next time i'll try and find something british to eat... :-/

I thought this place was pretty good actually. I think the key to getting good food at this restaurant is to go for the British food items. Oh, and another key is to like really greasy, flaky pastry-like items with hearty stuff inside or underneath. I tried some of the Yorkshire pudding and also had the steak and ale pie. If you're looking for stick-to-your-bones food that will probably induce high cholesterol levels to coat your artery walls, look no further. I did not try any of the other items that previous reviewers have tried, so I can't really say much for the consistency or quality of the non-British type stuff.
