I've been going to Little Anthony's for 25+ years. I spend a lot of time eating Neapolitan pizza in Baltimore - Iggie's, Johnny Rad's, Birroteca, Verde - and DC - 2Amy's. Neapolitan pizza is great because the ingredients are fresh. Little Anthony's isn't Neapolitan pizza, but the ingredients are so fresh and delicious that they are just as good as any hipster pizza joint. Michele is great.

Consistently good pizza, probably the best in downtown media. The guys who work there are always friendly and there's great service with plenty of seating and tv's to watch.

We love LA's tomato pie. Crispy crust and perfectly seasoned tomato topping. We get pepperoni slices - good too.

The good: Lots of seating inside, the people that own this place/work there are clearly legitimately Italian. They were talking in Italian to one another, acting very animated, and making espresso in percolators on the flat top. I was happy to patronize this small business. The bad: The price point is just a little above what I think is reasonable when it comes with pizza. Four slices and two fountain drinks cost 18 bucks. That's about $3.50 per slice, assuming that the drinks were $2.00 each. I get charging for more toppings, but their selection was really lacking in the sense that they didn't have any plain pizza. Everything that was out was loaded up with toppings that I didn't need/want. Just give me a plain slice! The "meh": The pizza was good, don't get me wrong. The thing is, though, that it's VERY CRISPY PIZZA. Normally I yearn for crispy pizza, as what I'm normally served is a floppy mess. However, this pizza was just so crispy that I couldn't fold it in half to eat it without the crust straight up breaking. Honestly, my pizza craving just wasn't met because it was so damn crispy!! My personal preference is for a slice that falls somewhere between floppy and crispy, but that's not to say that the pizza isn't good. My husband loves it, in fact, and it's right up his ally. So, I highly recommend if you are looking for a nice crispy slice!

We ventured out to the other side of the state for the Steve Kimock tribute to Jerry Garcia (which was phenomenal) and stayed in a town called Media PA, not far from Philadelphia. Everyone wanted pizza and I found Little Anthonys on the internet, only 5 minutes away from our hotel. I am really glad that this is the place that we randomly decided to go to because this was the best pizza I have had in a really long time. I'm still riding a wave of pleasure from the food high that this pizza gave me. We ordered a large cheese pizza with pepperoni on half. The cheese pie was perfectly made with a healthy portion of sauce, the perfect amount of cheese and a perfectly even medium thin crust. It was perfectly round, the cheese was distributed across the whole pie consistently and there was a good bit of sauce in EVERY bite. The crust was a medium darkness and there was no doughiness. They cut the pizza in 8 slices, like every pizza should be. The sauce was the best sauce I have had in a long time, it wasn't overpowering it was just simple and delicious. The consistency was medium thick with tomato strips so that you got good bites of tomato skin in there too. The flavor had a perfect natural tomato sweetness, not to be confused with sugar sauce. The garlic and oregano accent the natural sweetness of high quality tomatoes which combined with the saltiness of the cheese create a beautiful balance. The cheese is definitely a high quality cheese, probably Grande. All mozzarella. The cheese coverage was just perfect. The dough was simple and tasted good. It could have been a bit crispier but it held up well and was stretched perfectly even. The flavor was simple and tasty and the dough had a nice airiness to it. The Sicilian pie was pretty bangarang too. The guy on the phone suggested I try the marinara on the Sicilian instead of the regular pizza sauce since I was getting just sauce on the one half. I am glad he did because the marinara sauce was delicious and the tomato pie side was excellent. This is the best pizza I have had in over a year. I am kind of having post-pizza depression over being so far away from pizza this good. I miss you baby! Come back, homegirl. RATING: 9 / 10

I've had pizza from here on a few occasions and is was really good, but this weekend, the family and I decided to take a stroll in town and grab a few slices. My toddler loves pizza and enjoyed all of his. Me on the other hand, I thought it was okay. It wasn't bad, nor was it great; it was literally okay. The dough is very thin, which I like because it sort of reminds me of pizza from New York, which I grew up on, but the crust itself was too crunchy. When I can't eat the crust, it's not the most enjoyable experience for me. The plain pizza wasn't bad. It had the right amount of cheese, but where was the sauce. They use very little sauce on their pizzas. I also had a slice of their broccoli and white cheese pizza. This was good, but they were very heavy-handed with the garlic. A little less garlic would have made it better. Their hot wings are delicious. We ordered mild because I don't like when my food makes me sweat. One order of hots wings gets you 12 wings for $7, which isn't bad in Delaware County. Overall, I don't mind returning here for pizza if I happen to be in the mood while walking down State Street. I probably won't go out of my way for their pizza simply because pizza spots in Delaware County are a dime a dozen.

This place is the pure definition of OK if there ever was one. That is, just OK. I mean, it wasn't bad. I was drawn here by seeing 4 stars on Yelp on a recent trip to Media. But in this case, I have to mildly disagree with that assessment. The pros were that the Sicilian pizza was quite tasty. Good soft crust that got perfectly crunchy at the end. The onion rings had a good crunch to them. My wife liked her pepperoni slice as well as the white pizza slice with ricotta, spinach, and tomato. I was mildly impressed with the barbecue chicken slice I got. The cons were that the crusts on the New York style slices got a bit stale once you reached the end. I'm an eat the crust kind of guy, so that was a letdown. The sausage slice I tasted lacked good sausage flavor. Couldn't win them all here. Service is very friendly, but it is a bit inconvenient to have to ask for a key to the bathroom, and to have to ask for a ketchup bottle at the counter to have them hand one to you to bring back to the table. Apparently they don't believe in putting the ketchup bottles out on the table or on the counter. Mild inconveniences, sure. It meant at the end of the meal, I had to bring it back to them as well as bus my tray. Now you see, it's places like this where I say they have quite the nerve to put a tip jar on the counter. They make you come back to the counter to get your food after you find your table. They make you ask for things for them to hand to you at the counter, and then they make you bus your own tray. Tell me what they did here except cook the food. Ah well, they got a couple of bucks in the jar anyway for being nice to me I suppose. So let's just say that I wouldn't drive to Media to eat here. I'd put them over Apollo Pizza for sure, and if I were local I'd order from here over Apollo. They're a notch below Pinocchio's.

Meh to OK. Decent pizza - especially if you order a whole, fresh pie. Chicken parm was deepfried tenders with sauce and cheese. FAIL. Spaghetti was well cooked (not over cooked). Fries, chicken - basically anything that went into the deep fryer was over-fried and too dark. Perhaps the oil was too hot today? Anyhow the kiddo liked it so we were ok with it. $34.20 including tax for lunch for 3.

The text that goes along with a 5 star rating (Woohoo! As good as it gets!) fits in this case with one very large caveat - it is not quite complete - it should read "Woohoo! As good as it gets in the area". The pizza is the best that I have found (all be it a bit greasy) since moving to Philly just over a year ago. Compared to pizza in NY or Boston it would be a 3 or 4 star, and it would not even rate in New Haven where you can get phenomenal pizza just about anywhere. The guys that work there are nice, service is quick, the place is clean and their pizza by the slice really hits the spot.

this is an [unnecessary] update to my very first yelp review (aw). [almost] two years later, and i still swear by the white pizza with artichokes & marinara. i'm typically a 2 slices kinda girl, but this pie warrants a [naughty] third. get on it.

I was in Media recently for Dining Under the Stars. We looked around at all the restaurants and unfortunately they all had 1 1/2 hour waits. We had our two little boys with us so there was noway to wait that long. My son pointed to Little Anthonys and I have to say I was disappointed as I wanted to try something a little nicer. But for what they lack in ambiance, they make up for it with the most delicious, hot pizza I have had in awhile! The guys at the counter could not have been nicer and they pointed us to a table outside so we still got to enjoy the fun of the Wednesday night event. We had eaten here several years ago when we lived closer and I had forgotten how much I love the pizza. I cannot vouch for their other food but you will be VERY happy with the pizza....order more than one cause it went fast. My husband ate half of it and my boys loved it so much I wanted them to enjoy it so I only got one piece. I am headed back soon!

this will be brief...like pulling off a bandaid. -food poisoning....twice -reheated slices that have been gathering that lovely cheese sweat on the counter for more than a day (YES....i have been monitoring this by walking by...perhaps explaining my internal explosions post meal) -lifeless colorless veggies on the veggie pie -sticky tables -apparently i'm bothering the staff by walking in the door basically...i'd rather steal bagels from the bagel dumpster and slap some ragu and a kraft single on it and call it a pizza party.

Best pizza in Media. Wish they delivered, but the pies are well worth fighting for a spot on a Friday night in Media.

This is the best pizza shop in Media, hands down. They workers there are friendly and personable and if you come in a few times a month, act like you're a regular. They remember you and strike up a convo like you're their buddy. Everything I've ever gotten from here was delicious. Cheesesteak wit wiz, Chicken Parm sandwich, slices of pizza, and what I recommend the most: STUFFED CHEESESTEAK PIZZA. Absolutely unreal how delicious this is. Don't waste your time at Pinocchio's or Coco's Pizza...this is the spot!

HANDS DOWN greatest pizza slices in the world. Used to come here for lunch everyday while I was in high school, and it's the first place I go when I'm at home. And now they sell 6 packs!! Woah, game over

This rating is for the steak sandwich I had here today. The quantity of meat in the sandwich was skimpy... This surprised me QUITE A LOT. However, the roll was really good, and the taste of the overall sandwich was fine, (and actually much better than the steak sandwich I recently had in Center City). I liked their dining area. It is comfortable. Their shop was clean. The workers were friendly. If you want to wash your hands in this place or need to use the restroom, you will need to ask for the key... like you might do at an old-style gas station. This struck me as odd. I can't remember the last time I was at an eatery where access to a restroom required a request for the key. I can see how this could be a good policy when State Street has big events that draws many people into this town, but to maintain this policy all the time, even on slow Mondays at lunch time, like today... well, it seems like a stingy, out-of-touch practice that discourages hand-washing. As I was leaving, their friendly workers asked how I liked my sandwich... If a restaurant truly is concerned with the guest's enjoyment of their product, the time to ask is while they are biting into it, when corrections can still be made, not when they are walking out the door. I would hit this place again, but if I were really hungry I would probably opt to try out another shop in hopes of getting more meat, because today's sandwich was sort of like a snack instead of being a meal... In between biting into it, I found myself continually looking at the weak serving of meat in the roll, and feeling really surprised about it, especially since I announced when I walked in that I was a first-time customer. Warm greeting: 5 Speed of meal production: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Comfortable dining-room: 5 Willingness to give change for the parking meter: 5 Overall taste of sandwich: 4 Satisfaction with quantity of meat: 2 Restroom policy: 1 Instilled in me feelings of wanting to return as I left: 3 I want to give a 4, but this time I think it has to be a 3.

What it lacks in ambiance and size, this pizza place in the heart of Media makes it up handsomely in the outstanding food quality and the friendly service it provides its many customers. The menu is varied for a pizza joint, with both Sicilian and Napolitan pizza offerings. And they are goooooood! They also offer a host of salads and some non-Italian dishes such as Chicken Fingers. The clientele is a mix of blue and white collar pizza aficionados. And their service is overtly friendly. I was pleased with my visit.

I love Little Anthony Pizza. They make the best pizza - East Coast/New York Style YUM!! In addition to generously sized + topped whole pizzas, you can buy pizza by the slice, which is great if you want to try different toppings. They also have great salads. If you want to grab a slice and watch some sports, go to Little Anthony Pizza!

I like pizza. I like good pizza. I like good pizza north of the Mason-Dixon line. I like good pizza north of the Mason-Dixon line, especially when it comes from Little Anthony's. Now, they're not the only guys in the Philly area with good pizza (Italian Market also holds some awesome pie makers), but in my little free-trade home town, Little Anthony's definitely the place to go to when you're hunkering for a good piece of pie. Let me break down their pizza for you: the crust is thin and chewy, not doughy and has just a touch of salt in the flavor. The sauce is not sweet (oh hallelujah! who the hell needs sugar in the sauce when tomatoes are sweet enough!). I have to admit, I haven't ventured much into the toppings. Baby1 is incredibly adamant about her zaa being only cheese and sauce. I guess, like her mother, she still likes her food straightforward (our favorite flavor of ice cream: vanilla). I just wished they were open later on Saturday nights. Maybe this is a remnant of late-night-greasy-pie-slice places in DC and NYC that has stuck with me. (BTW, their wings are also phenomenal. Hot, sour, salty. And they also have Herrs, if you like to top your pizza the way I do sometimes. It's a hard habit from grade school that I can't seem to break.) I've been known to order 3 large pies for just my family (read 2 kids 1 hubby) and me when we're here. Needless to say, at least 2 of those end up going home with us as we drive back south. Reheat is not as good as fresh, but they have par-baked pies for me that have come pretty close to awesome out of my oven (I finish it on a stone). And next day cold pizza - still good, with a glass of milk, for breakfast. Oh, Little Anthony's, how I love you so.

I was here in the past week while exploring. I had two slices of the pepperoni/sausage/ham pizza. The pizza was very good. A word about alcohol, it is beer only no wine.

This is the best pizza in Media. Maybe the best in delco. With that being said I'm just going to put it out there that if you like "greek style" pizza you have no taste at all. Pizza should be thin and delicate, not puffy and greasy and disgusting. (TL;DR) Little Anthony's has great New York style pies.

Between 2006-2009 I lived in Media, PA... and one of the highlights of living there was discovering the great restaurants on State Street... and discovering, much to my amazement, one of the best pizza joints on the planet. I was raised in Brooklyn, and I was in the Navy and spent a ton of time in Italy - so I know good pizza, cappish? And Little Anthony comes from Naples... perhaps the only red-hair person in all of Napoli.... and the maestro can make one mean pizza. One day, when my wife was away on business I dropped by and ordered a large pie and I told Little Anthony: "extra garlic, please" in Italian. The code was broken and as I drove home to Mansion Drive, my stomach was howling as I smelled the garlic in my car. When I got home, I scarfed the whole pie. There was so much fresh garlic on that pie that my taste buds were loving life. When my wife came back a couple of days later, she sniffed around and said: "you went to Little Anthony's... didn't you?" I told her about my mystical experience with the extra garlic and she got hungry and we drove right to State Street. She usually orders the Greek salad, as she's not a big pizza eater, but after she tried a slice of the mushroom pizza, this super skinny uber athlete became a pizza lover. Another thing: While we lived in Media, we had a lot of visitors, and often we took them to Little Anthony's. Their reaction was unanimous and their culinary orgasms amazing... I know of one guy who drives all the way from DC to Media about every six weeks just to get a pie from this place.

This is the best Pizza in Media. That being said, please do not compare this style of pizza to true NY pizza that you find in the NYC area. Philly pizza tends to have thicker crust and is not as crisp as NYC pizza. When you fold a slice of NYC pizza, you need two hands; one to fold and one to hold the point because the crust is so thin it droops down. The cheese and grease mix together and you get that little trickle of grease onto the plate...perfection. I have come to realize quickly this is not how Philly pizza is made and the reason I balk at calling anything in the Philly area NY style pizza. All that being said, this is the closest to the real deal that I have found so far.

Amazing pizza with personality! This is the best pizza by the slice in Media. Whether it's vegan, meat lovers, or a classic Neapolitan Little Anthony's is the place to get it. The owner, Michael, is from Italy and brought his amazing culinary skills to Media.

Media only has pizza shop as far as I'm concerned and it's Little Anthony's. In terms of quality of ingredients, service and options, there is no other place in the Delaware Valley that holds a candle to this shop. I've been eating pizza there for at least 23 years and I have no plans to commit to another place.
