Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I only went here for one reason the Inside-out Pizza. It did not disappoint, I mean who doesn't like deep fried pizza. The place is huge and consists of 2 floors, with plenty of tables to dine. The whole place was very clean, They serve beer and wine as well. I looked over the menu while I waited for my inside outs. Normal pizza joint with Wings, Hoagies, Steaks and of course Pizza. 2 inside outs and a drink ran me about $10. The inside out was delicious, I used a knife and fork as the sauce and cheese oozed out as i sliced into it. If you are in the area you need to at least give it a whirl. I know I will be back again in the future.

Got the inside out with cheese pepperoni and green peppers. This basically is the size of a Pzone from Pizza Hut. The boss took me here and she never described how small it is. Sharing it left us wanting more .. We ordered double decker fries - cheese bacon ranch topping- they were very good!! Tip: If you are sharing get two inside outs.. Or a couple appetizers. Nothing really special about this place - just kind of was good.

They are known for their inside outs but the rustic sandwich..(turkey) was the best sandwich I have ever had. HIGHLY recommend it!

Their pizza isn't my favorite, but my husband grew up on Double Decker and so we order from DD on a regular basis. Inside outs are a staple in our family and they are delicious. Their customer service can't be beat. They have a great online ordering system and 99% of the time deliver it slightly earlier than scheduled. On the rare occasion that they are slightly late, they are apologetic and bring a complimentary bottle of soda. It's customer service like this that makes us loyal customers!

My family gets pizza from here pretty often, and it's really good, but I always hear people talking about the inside outs. I have a friend that doesn't even live in the area, but goes out of his way pretty often to get an inside out from here. My boyfriend and I decided to check them out then! We both got the buffalo chicken inside out, and they were amazing! We are already talking about going back again next weekend to try the other kinds. It's a pretty cool place, decent prices, and we also liked the take out beer. We'll be back again soon!

Inside outs are the best. Cool place too. And they sell beer! Fast, clean and nice employees.

I wouldn't say double decker is known for their pizza. They are known for the inside outs. Their rustic sandwiches are awesome too. If you go, you'll see that the inside is an awesome and upbeat environment for people of all ages. The staff is also extremely friendly. I highly recommend

The worst! The crepes were over priced for Nutella and bananas! And the pizza was flavorless and too bready,! There are so many better pizza places in the area. My husband had one of the sandwiches and was not impressed either.

Our family would like to thank Double Decker Pizza for the AMAZING job they did catering our daughters Christening!!!! The food was delicious and they took the time to create the perfect menu with us. Almost every guest who came to our event mentioned how great the food was as they were saying goodbye. The service was incredible as well. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. We will definitely be using their business again!!! Thanks Double Decker!!!!

This rating is based on my only experience at this location. My husband and I ordered take out. Needless to say, the wait took awhile. To make a BLT and an inside out must be a tough order, I guess. Anyway, we waited in their dining area. This location is the newest location and has a nice seating area, upstairs and downstairs. When we finally got our food, they forgot everything except the bread. There was very little lettuce, etc. Needless to say, I won't be coming back unless I have to.

Remember when the teacher graded tests on a scale because no one did well? Pizza in Delaware County needs to be graded that way. If you don't feel like driving into the city to get a Gennaros Tomatoe Pie ,Beddia ,Nomad, SLiCe or any of the other pies that have elevated our pizza game in Philly, you need to temper your expectations when you stay locally. Double Decker supply's the Ridley Wrestling Boosters the slices they sell at each home match. Typical of most Booster slices, they are usually more to the colder side. It never tasted that bad so I thought I'd try a hot, fresh, out-of-the-oven pie at their beautiful new location in Media. This spacious shop has two floors for you to eat your food, ice cold beer to drink there or take out and a large kitchen well staffed to handle your order. I tried the small personal pan size plain pie and the 5 hot buffalo wing sampler. Had a diet Dr Pepper to drink. The verdict? The pizza had a light crust although it was far from crispy. More to a thicker Greek crust of which I'm not a fan. The three cheeses were ok. The sauce tasted like it came out of a can. The wings were ok. Not horrible. Not great. I wanted them to the well side but these didn't come that way. Included was three pieces of celery and ranch dressing. Reminded me of New London in Prospect Park in that the pizza was cooked in a pan and they also use a blend of cheeses. But overall I prefer New London much more. Don't think I'll be back. Next time, I just make the drive to New London or seek out somewhere I haven't been that my favorite Yelpers give good grades to.

I don't think that any Double Decker Pizza, will ever be as good as the original location, but that's just my personal opinion. You can never go wrong on an inside out, and you even have the choice of baked or fried (baked is my favorite!). When I went to pick up my take out order, the register didn't have my order and I was told it would be 15 mins until it would be ready. However, the cashier found my slip already printed out and figured out that the one register wasn't working correctly. If she hadn't of found the slip, I would've wasted half my break waiting for a refire of my order. All in all though, the Media location is really nice and bright, I hope to dine inside one day soon!

I've eaten from here just twice now. They have pretty good "inside-out pizzas" as they call them. They are kind of a large pizza hot pocket filled with whatever you want. They bake or fry them and both options are pretty good. Their food in general is average for a pizza shop, but they do have a large seating area if you're looking to dine in. The last time I went I merely asked if their mushrooms are canned, because canned mushrooms are disgusting, and the worker got super annoyed at me when responding that they were. Sorry for inquiring about your sub-par quality items.

Don't know how you don't rate this Delco institution a 5. Ranks up there with Charlie's and Bernie's. Yes its deep fried dough with pizza sauce and cheese on the inside but its freakin awesome. Might be the cure to end all hangovers. Seriously these folks have been slinging these in Ridley and the rest of delco for 20+ years and if you haven't gone you need to. With locations in media and Glen Mills there is one near you. Cheap and tasty lunch in a comfortable setting. Great job guys.

This is a beautiful new restaurant in the place where three former storefronts existed including the Gluten-free Pasta Company. It has been absolutely remodeled into a very modern location reminiscent of something like a yuppie location in Washington DC instead of media PA. The place is immaculate. New. Clean and spotless. It has two stories for diners to look over the Baltimore Pike traffic and people. It is a wonderful sitdown eatery, a takeout location, and a delivery place. The colorfully adapted VW bus sitting outside lends a beautifully vintage flavor. I came in and tried one of their luscious salads for lunch. It was absolutely delicious. Now I have to come in for dinner and try one of their double-decker pizzas.

I wasn't surprised to find great food here, their other 3 locations always hit the spot for me and my family. I normally get the inside outs but you can't go wrong with anything you order. They have these great sandwiches called "Rustic Sandwiches" which are really good and they also make really great cheesesteaks! Overall a really fine eatery.

This place came highly recommended by friends who've lived in the area for a long time and I cant say how disappointed I was with the pizza. The crust was absolutely flavorless and so bready, a thick layer of rubbery cheese sat lifeless in the middle and the toppings were ...blah. I'd normally chalk up this poor performance to a fluke but we ordered on a Friday night and the place was packed with diners eating in and people coming and going with take out...so I'd have to assume its not a fluke. I mean the pizza wasn't horrible but there are definitely way better options in even a two block radius. The inside was clean and had a very nice seating area, so maybe I'll have to give them another shot with something other than pizza.

I have been here many times! We even hosted my baby shower here (There were about 40 people and we comfortably fit in the upstairs)!! It's huge and the food is delicious!! The service is superb and even though they always seem so busy, it's never a long wait! BTW, they even sell the best crepes around! Apparently, the original owner of The Crepe Truck down at Temple is now here at Double Decker!!

Great isops and crepes! this Is my second time here and the staff is always very friendly and fast. Place looks nice too. Looks like they are working in adding beer also. Can't wait to see what they get.

I loved Double Decker Pizza until a few weeks ago when we went there right before closing hours. The restaurant lights were on, the doors were unlocked, and there were plenty of people still working. The guy waved me out the door and told me they were closed. Lock the doors and turn off the lights in front if you're closed! The food is great, but the service not so great.
