Brrrrrrr! My friend and I met here for lunch. Made the reservations through OPenTable.com ...luv that site...and were seated by the front window. It was a sunny day, and I had my back to the window, BUT STILL.....I FROZE. Temperature aside, we ordered a lunch special and were pleasantly surprised by the quick service and tasty plate of salad, miso soup, sushi (the fake kind) and our choice of 5 different entrees. I choose the miso sea bass and was pleasantly surprised. The only problem AGAIN....IT WAS COLD..so you had to eat the sea bass and miso soup quickly before they froze. We shared a chocolate bomb...(all you think it is and more). Had a couple of glasses of wine and got out for under $75 bucks. Not cheap, but the food was good. The service was very attentive and responsive (left us alone when we weren't ready but was there when we were). So in all....I'd go back.

Absolutely delicious. Great sushi and seafood. The mushroom and truffle dumplings are great! Highly recommended.

I loove this place! This has become one of my favorite restaurants. The decor makes you feel like you stepped out of Media and into NYC. The sushi is very fresh and the service is great. I highly recommend the Philly Roll...awesome.

Overall okay but the service was lacking. The fact that they couldn't "find" our reservation was the first sign the inexperienced staff didn't have it together. Our server was poorly trained & didn't know the answers to basic questions about items on the menu and never refilled water glasses or offered a second drink. Our apps and Sushi were good but the steaks were just okay and the mashed potatoes were cold. They have some work to do. I think the staff was more interested in socializing with each other than tending to their tables.

Love the atmosphere, the cocktails, and the food is always delicious. I'm a huge fan of the scallops. Always tastes so fresh! The martinis are epic in size and quality. It's lovely to be able to sit outside, but the oh so pleasing decor and design usually keep me in. Good people watching during happy hour.

Only had an appetizer and cocktails at the bar, but if you're looking for atmosphere it doesn't get any better. Very contemporary design with comfortable background music. Service couldn't have been better. Our Azie Sushi roll was large in size for $10, very fresh and tasty. Going back for dinner this week. Convenient location in downtown Media.

I went here with my sister and it was amazing! I'm not a big sushi person, but I was glad to see that they had so many other options and everything i tried was really good! I loved the chicken teriyaki! The service is great! When we were there, the place was filled and we still got our food really quickly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is in the area and is looking for a great asian fusion restaurant!

My wife and I go to Azie regularly. There is a bit of a wait for a table on weekends, but we often just eat right at the bar. The draft selection is good but a little overpriced if you want cocktails or sake. The food is very good. I usually get the Grilled white marble pork chops with chunky mozzarella tomato sauce. The New York strip steak with wasabi soy sauce is delicious as well. So is the pan roasted diver scallops. And if you're in the mood for lighter fare, Azie's sushi is some of the best in Media. The staff is very friendly and attentive - they will remember your name if you come in more than once. The decor is trendy and well-kept. They have a rooftop eating area that is great. Overall, there is enough here to keep us coming back again and again.

We go here often since it is just a few blocks away. Service is always friendly, but can be a little slow. Everything is good from sushi (new philly roll is awesome) to braised short ribs to salmon teriyaki. Sunday brunch buffet is the best in Media (and not because it is the only brunch buffet!)

Definitely a Philly style restaurant placed in delco. I personally had a really good expeirience there (may have been the saki) and the check price was expected prior to heading in the restuarant. The place had a good ambiance to it and is what i would consider the "high end" place in media.

Excellent! This chef has several other restaurants. Try the Godzilla Roll. It is amazing! Nice atmosphere. Comfy seating! Outdoor dining available. Full bar. Upstairs dining.

We read some Yelp reviews beforehand and were aware that the service might be hit or miss. It was miss. But the food was mostly excellent! We were a party of six and made reservations but the table wasn't ready (which isn't unheard of, but) had to wait too long for a table and the hostesses were quite put out when asked politely how much longer it might be. Generally the attitude from them was unaplogetic and a little perturbed. And there is no sitting or standing area for anyone waiting for a table. Onward and upward. The food was great (but a little pricey). Sweet potato fries were awesome, generous portion of edimame, Kobe steak carpaccio was ridiculous (good), Jack Daniel shots were perfectly prepared. Great scallops, and great fried rice, super garlic-ee. Only small criticism was of the nigiri. I would definitely expect bigger slices of fish. And freshness was okay. Not deficient, just not "wow fresh" like many high end sushi joints I go to. I would go back, once we were sat the actual server was great. Total price for five adults and one toddler (who ate all my salmon) : $209.

The common affliction amongst eating establishments in Media is that the service is generally horrible. Azie is no exception. On a recent "Dining Under the Stars" Wednesday night, Lori and I decided to give Azie a try. At first we saw that their on-street dining was full. Undaunted, we decided to go in and see if they had any seating available on their roof deck. After initially being ignored by the hostess, we were eventually informed that the "roofdeck is crazy right now" and that there really weren't any more seats available anywhere. There were two tables available in the bar area right in front of us. Regardless, we decided to move on. That's just one example. The food at Azie is reasonable, but entirely overpriced. They have a rock-shrimp appetizer that is similar to an appetizer from the Bone Fish Grille chain. To be honest, the Azie rendition is actually much better done. Drink service is meh. If you are Jonesin' for asian fusion, this is your only choice in town. Unfortunately, they seem to take that for granted.

Let me start by saying that Azie has the best food I've had in Delaware County. The Asian fusion isn't very innovative or original, but it is prepared perfectly. I've been here four times, and I've always been satisfied with my meal. I gave Azie one star because the service is absolutely terrible. I love the food but won't ever go back due to the awful service.

Just tried Azie last night as one of those places that we've heard good things about. Food was great but two things pulled the rating down: the wine prices are not even Center City, they're New York City level. Guys, haven't you heard? Your competition is the BYOB scene! The other factor is the ambient noise level. Not a stitch of cloth in the dining room, so the noisy table of six drowns out everything else in that little back dining room. A nice addition to the already top-notch Media scene, but I'd drive downtown with my own wine for an equally fine meal in better surroundings. Danielle is a sweetie and very helpful.

Trying too hard to be uptown hip but not quite hitting the mark. As others have said, service is poor. We made reservations and arrived approximately 15 minutes early and were told the table was not ready, despite numerous empty tables upon finally being seated. To kill the extra time before being seated we had a drink at the bar which was reasonably priced for media. Decor is minimalist but comfortable, though the bar area and dining room were both surprisingly loud for the number of people. After being seated by the hostess, our waitress took our order promptly but that was the only prompt step in the process. We requested a single sushi roll as an appetizer and ended up with two after 20 minutes, which we weren't charged for. The BBQ eel/avocado roll was of OK quality though fairly simple. In general, too much sauce which overpowered both the eel and the avocado. Sushi is about subtle mixtures of flavors and textures and this was anything but. After another 25 minutes out entrees arrived but not before an apology from the staff for the delay due to "opening another floor to the restaurant the the kitchen being behind." Perhaps they found another floor that wasn't there the night before? Food arrived and girlfriends toban yaki was great. Scallops were marginal at best and a bit undercooked though the manager stated that they were at the correct temperature. Mushrooms were said to be sauteed but served cold...clearly the plate was rushed in an effort to get our food out quicker despite our already long wait. Manager took 15% off of bill for food quality issues, two entrees and mid range bottle of wine with sushi roll came to just over $100. Would have paid more for the meal done right but as it stands left feeling mostly disappointed. Probably wouldn't go back.

Just a hair away from a 5 star experience last night. Dining Under the Stars was poorly attended due to spotty rain - but that was great for us as we snagged a prime table on the roof deck and had a fine and wonderful meal. Great service and food. Bulkoki spring rolls, Kobe Hot Rock, Sushi and Salmon teriyaki were all terrific. El kiddo devoured her food - including a shrimp tempura roll. So what's the problem? No more green vegetables served with entree - only mashed yams (excellent). I was craving some green beans or broccoli or kale. Anything. There is an $8 side of mixed veg - but we didn't go for it. The entree was $22 alone for salmon and yams. they used to include a vegetable but no more. Also $10 for a side (huge - but still) of plain fried rice with only egg is CRAZY! PLEASE BRING BACK the GREENS!

I have to say how disappointed I am with tonight's visit. Although my last experience at this place was far from pleasant, I decided to give it another shot. My friend and I went for what we thought was their happy hour. Got in 9 minutes after their happy hour ended, which is beyond me because their happy hour has always been 4-7 p.m. and they have recently changed it to 6:30. Fair enough, we still opted to stay considering we were already there. The server was wonderful and very helpful in our selection! I do commend the great service. The food, however, was far from spectacular. The rolls are stingy, and are not your average sushi roll (which is not stated). The TNT roll was a measly four bites and I was very unimpressed. The sweet potato fries...well just skip them, because they're an interesting flavor and by that I mean not good. I have to wonder if business is so terrible that they cut back the happy hour time frame and decreased portions? Save your money and go to elsewhere. I've been to some great sushi places in Philly and on the mainline that are certainly higher quality. Such a shame because it used to be a great restaurant!

I have now been to Azie twice, and the second experience really improved my perception of Azie and increased my review to a 3 star. My first time here was for an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. We tried the Kobe beef hot rock appetizer. This is where I have my issues. This is a $16 appetizer, but what comes out is not worth the price. We were served 5 paper thin pieces of beef about 4 inches long and maybe an inch wide. I know that Kobe is expensive, but this was ridiculous. Everything else about my meal was just ok, but I could not get over the ridiculousness of that appetizer. My second time here was much better. I came here for happy hour with girlfriends and it was way better. There were a lot of choices and they were reasonably priced. The atmosphere is great and the bartender was helpful and fun. I will definitely be back for happy hour and will be willing to give dinner another try, I just am going to avoid that appetizer.

I hate to write a poor review, but our service this weekend was surprisingly bad. The food was good, atmosphere was nice, but after we asked about an issue with one meal we were ignored for the remainder of our time in the restaurant and actually asked another waitress to run our cards after we had waited such a long time. I really don't believe that we had been rude, and was very disappointed. It was not what I would expect at a $200 dinner.
(2)
Chris J.
Really disappointing. I gave them 3 stars, because nothing was really bad per se, but nothing really lived up to the level that you would expect based in the menu. The portions are insultingly small My sous video duck was actually tough, not tender at all. The $8 steamed vegetable side was laughably small and the The octopus salad that we ordered as an appetizer cost $16 and had about 3 sashimi size cuts of octopus in it. My wife's Chilean sea bass was decent, but it's the same Chilean sea bass everyone is doing everywhere so nothing really special. The bill was outrageous. Save your money and avoid this place.

Best sushi hands down!! They do a great brunch on Sunday's, and I recommend the pom-pom cocktail.

I have came here during Sunday brunch with my family before and everything that they served in the buffet were delicious! I believe it's $18/person. I typically don't like buffet styled food but this place is an exception. Everything was clean and tasted good! I have also came here during dinner time and ordered a Chilean Seabass, N.Y. Strip Steak, Sous Vide Duck Breast, and assorted sashimi. The display of the food and the taste of the food were absolute perfection. Props to the chef and servers for making my experience there amazing!

I really really want to give this place at least a 4 star rating because the food is delicious. However the service is spotty. I wouldn't have minded the stiff prices if I didn't have to go to the frozen yogurt place down the block afterwards in order to actually feel full. No worries here if you are on Richard Simmons deal a meal. You won't rack up tons of points. But you will get lots of reward points on your Master Card.
Nice, trendy place. Food was average and pricy especially for such small portions, drinks were good! Staff is very friendly.

Stopped in here Friday night with the boss to get some sushi and try this as a first-timer. It was quite crowded so I figured it was a local hot spot. We didn't have reservations but were seated upstairs. We eat ordered the Azie Fried Rice and the Tuna Crunch, California, and Philly rolls. ATMOSPHERE: Being on State St you would expect it to be a happening place but this joint is very modern. Walking through it reminds me of the Tao night club in Vegas or a restaurant you would happen upon in Atlantic City. Unfortunately the prices reflect that. Bill was on the hefty side. 9/10 SERVICE: I informed the waitress I was a first-timer and she was helpful in answering dumb questions about the menu. They have a water boy who runs around filling glasses, etc. 10/10 FOOD: The food I was really split on and I will try to explain. The Azie rice was really good. The chicken and vegetables were done very well and everything tasted great but the sushi was really a meh thing. The Philly roll was very good.. had a cream sauce and a little piece of strip steak on the top. The California roll will always be a California roll but this one was below average and the tuna crunch wasn't good at all.. was kind of a half-assed roll. 9/10 OVERALL: it was a good experience. I would go back and avoid a roll and try another. 8/10

Good sushi! Probably the best in Media in my opinion. I've been here a few times and have had fresh sushi both times. A little on the higher end price wise for sushi.

A friend gave me a gift certificate to try Azie out, so my husband and I made a reservation on a Friday night. We showed up on time for our 7:30 reservation. The place wasn't full but the hostess told us it would be a couple minutes. About 5 minutes later another hostess walked up and asked if we were waiting for a table. I gave her our name and reservation time and she lead us to our table. Kind of puzzled as to why the first hostess allowed us to stand there waiting when there was a table ready for us. Anyways... We sat down and opened our menus. It was a good 10 minutes before our waitress greeted us or filled our water glasses. By the time the waitress finally got to our table, we were ready to order our meals. Appetizers came out to our table relatively quick. We got the bulgogi spring rolls and the spicy tuna crostini. The peruvian sauce that came with the spring rolls was delicious and rich, but there was very little ribeye in the spring rolls which was disappointing. The portion size of the dish was only two small spring rolls which was additionally disappointing. The crostini was good, but again, a small portion. For our main entrees I got the kobe beef basil fried rice and my husband got the jumbo lump crab pad thai. The fried rice was very good, but I've had the same or better at other smaller, and significantly less expensive restaurants. I thought the kobe beef would elevate or add a richness to the dish since I've had it with different meats before, but it didn't unfortunately. There just wasn't anything special to it like I was hoping. My husband had the same complaint about the pad thai; that he thought it would be a step above other pad thais he's had before, but it was just (in his words) "blah." All-in-all, the food was good, but the entire experience wasn't memorable or worth mentioning. If it weren't so pricey, I'd give it another try. But for a restaurant with Center City prices, Azie should have Center City food and service, and it just doesn't.

This place is super fantastic. The sushi is delicious. We always get a mix of sushi rolls. This time my 2 friends and I got Godzilla rolls, Azie rolls, and crunchy rolls. The sushi is always so good here. I got a drink called a "Bright Idea" , it had a glow stick in it which was really cute. I was assured it was nontoxic and totally safe. The drink was delicious, so I had 2. The server was very friendly and fun. I come here for my birthday about every other year. I've never been disappointed. We will definitely be back.

I expected more out of Azie, the food was good but overpriced by a lot. I would probably visit here again, but I'd like to think there are better places for similar food in the media area. I'll give it a 3 star rating because the food was good, the ambiance/decoration was nice and the staff were kind

Rolls: Average Fish: Excellent Service: Good Overall I would go back. Not the best in the area but still worth a trip. Take an afternoon to walk around media, then grab a bite at Azie. Youll leave happy.

I came here with a group of friends and we ordered a couple tempura vegetables/shrimp as an appetizer, 5 rolls and the sashimi platter, the sweet potato fries and the fruit fondue for dessert. We all got cocktails-- all of which were delicious. The tempura vegetables and shrimp were expensive (they were by the piece, so $1 for one broccoli, $3 for 1 shrimp, etc.) and nothing spectacular. None of us liked the tempura sauce and used soy sauce instead. The rolls and sashimi were all fine--we've had better, we've had worse. The sweet potato fries were like they had taken white potatoes, half cooked them then dunked in a sticky bland sauce. We each tried one and then they sat for the rest of our meal. The fondue was pretty large- several strawberries, marshmallows, etc. The chocolate was fine as well. If I come back again I'd probably just do drinks on the rooftop as the main appeal to us were the drinks and the nice outdoor deck.

Been here several times, most recently to take my mother out for Mothers Day. The food was pretty good. I had sushi/sashimi, and the fish was quite good. My parents had clam chowder, and my mom had a salad. My dad had pad thai. No real complaints about the food, though I wish my sushi had been a tad fresher. Service was another matter altogether. It was terrible. Everyone was perfectly pleasant and helpful. The problem was competence. First, they brought my mother's soup and entree salad at the same time. Upon seeing her salad, my mother asked for her entree to be brought later, and with the dressing on the side. They were very agreeable. When the salad came later, it had the dressing on it, not on the side. Not much on its own. But my sushi plate was delivered without any wasabi on it. It took a few minutes for the server to check in, and then another ten minutes to get my wasabi. These were just a few of the service issues on the evening. All minor on their own, but collectively they gave the impression that the front of the house at Azie is just not properly run. I almost always tip 20% or more. This trip I tipped less than half that. It was very disappointing. Another minus was the noise level in the dining room. There was a large group of young people, and it was nearly impossible to converse at our table.

Let me start off by saying the atmosphere in this restaurant is gorgeous and the food was absolutely delicious. The reason I am rating this two stars is because of the service I experienced. Everything started off great, but after we received our appetizers the service became progressively worse. First, our waiter would go missing for over 15-20 min at a time with no where to be found. Eventually I realized servers, including ours, in a glass back room eating while the restaurant still had multiple guests. I thought it couldn't get worse than that but then at one point the entire staff including bartender and manager were all in the room eating leaving the entire restaurant unattended. The only person one the floor was young woman with blonde hair who looked as though she was bussing and taking care of the entire restaurant by herself. I am extremely disappointed because the food was amazing but will never be back because this has been the worst service I have ever experienced.

First place that I tried and LIKED sushi. I did the California roll and spicy scallop rolls. The scallop roll was AWESOME. I've been there a few times and my dad (a notorious sushi snob) always orders an insane amount of it and really enjoys it. Way more convenient to just head over to state street for good sushi versus heading into the city. And they have a good selection to chose from. I do wish they would put another scallop main course onto the entree menu. I consider scallops to be the chicken of the sea (good for not adventurous eaters.) I usually get the teriyaki chicken entree which is a bit above average but the sweet mashed potatoes are GREAT. I have family members who also just pop in for drinks. Their bar is conducive for just sitting and having a drink versus sitting down for a meal.

Different menu. Some dishes have the same name but aren't the same at all. If you were a fan of the Kobe basil beef fried rice, beware. It's super spicy!!! No more Lychee Martinis. This was my favorite restaurant in Media. I was told it's the same menu, same chef, same as always. I really don't think so. Curious what other Azie regulars think

Wanted to enjoy a dinner on the rooftop with my husband. Was a walk in, and had to wait about a half hr, no biggie. Was sat right at about 40 min, enjoyed a good drink at the bar. Cut to being sat and receiving some of the SLOWEST service I've ever experienced. We weren't even sure who our server was, which ok, whatev, you're busy and your peeps help you out, but all three servers who were working the rooftop came and went. And came and went. And came and went. Without so much a glance at our table. Like oh hey, remember us?! Every time apologizing that it was really busy and flashing a smile. That excuse works once, not 3 times in a row. We sat with no plates no glasses no nothing on our table for at least 15 min and asked 2 separate servers for our check. I saw two of the servers who seemed to be tag teaming our table standing around, look in our direction multiple times and then go elsewhere. Now the dinner. Sushi was great. No issues. My husbands "short ribs" was more like A short rib. Literally, there was one rib in a bowl of rice with raw veggies and it was $25! Have to say, overall just an ok experience. And i'm leaving still hungry.

The sushi here is excellent...as is the service. Chelsea waited out table. Compliments on her demeanor, sense of humor, skills and attention to detail. Azie is lucky to have her. She augments the overall experience. Azie is highly recommended. The rolls were noticeably fresh and tremendously delicious; the unfiltered sake smooth. I've lived in the area for a while and had no idea such a gem of a restaurant existed so close by. Definitely will be a go-to spot in the future.

Best sushi in the area ! Hands down. The waitress and or bartenders have been very friendly and helped with choosing their favorite dishes ! The rock shrimp appetizer (similar to bang bang shrimp at bonefish) is outstanding ! Very consistent; it is the same everytime which I love ! Their new "Kobe beef" sushi is amazing it literally tastes like a cheesesteak! Azie has always been on time with my reservations made on opentable even when it's packed on the weekend !!! I will continue to go here a few times a year! Very nice decor

The place is very trendy. Good place to bring a date. The sushi is a bit pricey but comparable to the prices at Temaki Sushi Bar down the street. I had the duck entree and I have to say I was a little underwhelmed which is why I am not giving this place 5 stars. The duck at Lotus Farm to Table is much better.

I was very disappointed in the service here last night. My girlfriends and I have been coming here forever the manager and all staff know who we are (regulars.) anyway we asked if we could get drinks and sit on the roof because it was a nice night. It was a Monday night not super busy and the manager said that we could only go up if we ate. I found it very rude as we are your guests and you will still be getting probably more money on our tab vs. eating. I could understand if it was a Saturday night and it was jam packed. Anyway we went to Stephens on state and had drinks outside there!

I dined here with some friends while visiting from California, and I was very impressed with the food. I had a wonderful miso soup with slight tones of a smoked sausage, followed by the miso poached sea bass with a mustard reduction. The fish was done to perfection and the sauce complemented it perfectly. That said, the service was adequate, but certainly not stellar. With the quality of the food, I would expect San Francisco style service, which sadly I did not get. The server forgot a drink order, then disappeared; then forgot my soup and disappeared again. Our entrees were also not served at the same time, which is a huge faux pas in my book. If the service would have been up to snuff, I would have given these folks 5 stars, but as I said, it wasn't. Still, I look forward to returning, as the menu was creative and the food was excellent.

Tasty food. Expensive for portion sizes. Vegetarians will need to ask for special dishes. Gorgeous interior. Some of the waitstaff are nice on the eyes but not as good at service. Kitchen can be slow and then all of your food suddenly arrives. Now to get this in Haiku form.

I like Azie -alot. The food is consistently good (not great, sorry), the ambience is upscale and overall this is a celebration-worthy restaurant, right in my backyard. Which is why I celebrated my birthday here last night with hubby and my 2 girls (instead of driving to Philly to Zahav -- school is still in). Since it was a Tuesday, Azie even had this $25 prix fixe deal (offered M and T) that was buried in one of the menus, but which our waitress didn't mention. It turned out to be a pretty decent deal. On a rectangular "divider" plate, they plate your entree with 2 apps (a cream cheese spring roll and 2 gyozas on one side, entree choice in the middle --I chose the nearly extinct chilean sea bass with miso marinade-- and an Azie special sushi roll on the other side. My daughters ate the cream cheese spring roll (the exterior is thin crisp wonderfulness, as any worthy springroll should be ---but cream cheese in the middle? Not for me. Blech) because they don't yet have to worry about cholesterol. The gyoza were perfect. The spicy tuna roll was a full roll, cut into 8 pieces, but the exterior panko crumbs weren't crunchy -- like it was sitting in the kitchen for awhile awaiting plating -- so it lost some its yum. The sea bass was ok, but the miso glaze also had that "I've been sitting on this fish awhile" kind of dull look. And it was a bit over-salted -- so that was disappointing, b/c if you're going to serve an almost-extinct fish, please honor it by preparing it per-fect-ly! Note that the entree portion size is scaled down for this prix fixe deal -- which I sort of wished our waitress had told us in advance b/c I might have chosen to get more fish in an entree size and skip the cream cheese and other included apps. My daughters ordered a roll each and an app and were very happy. The sesame crusted tuna sashimi was several beautiful thin slices surrounding a pool of siracha/ginger sauce. DH also had $25 prix fixe, with scallops (2 came with his). All in all, it was a nice local birthday dinner! It's one of the best Media has to offer, and a great date restaurant with terrific ambience. Brunch here is VERY good.

Giving it the benefit of the doubt unlike the peeps that walked out. Food meh, service bad on Friday night, bar shorthanded. I was dehydrated and couldn't get a drink of water. Bartender was kinda pompous. Maybe they were just having a rough night. Quite disappointing..

Kobe sliders and the azie roll are really great. Roof deck isn't open for happy hour menu though. Their brunch is one of the best in Media, especially if you like an interesting buffet consisting of food influenced by both both American and Japanese cultures. Their Japanese chicken nuggets are so good! (Think Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets with a orangey spicy Japanese sauce to dip them in). They also offer their sushi alongside the traditional brunch offerings, which helps make Azie's brunch a little unique. Its also right up the street from my bf's house, making it dangerously close enough not to go.
I havr been here a few times and it is always very good! Great sushi I especially like the Azie roll and the New Philly. The tempura udon soup is also really good. Staff is always very nice also.

Solid choice to put on your Media, PA restaurant list. I went during the weekend so I highly recommend to make a reservation. I went around 8:30 pm and the place was packed until I left. The items that we ordered were the Jumbo Shrimp Tempura, Lump Crab Pad Thai and the Red Dragon Maki roll. I would recommend any of these choices. The Jumbo Shrimp Tempura is served with only 5 shrimp however it was more than plenty! I struggled to eat the last one because they were so big. Also I was pleasantly surprised with the Lump Crab Pad Thai; there was more than enough crab meat throughout the entire dish. The portions of the food is enough for one sitting, but I would not expect leftovers. If you are comfortable spending a little extra money this asian-fusion restaurant would be an excellent place to try.

Great place for special occasions. Love their food and the decoration. We went last time for our anniversary. Had a great experience here as always : )

Food and atmosphere are enjoyable, although on weekends the service is quite bad because it's so busy. Servers are very amiable but those who seat you are usually less friendly. Last time I was there the fire alarm went off...

Despite me making fun of the slogan "Globally Refreshing" to my wife every time we walked by this place, we decided to give it a go one night. The only thing I would have done differently is when I made a reservation, I would have been asked to be seated upstairs. The downstairs is quite noisy and other patrons had a habit of listening in our conversation which was annoying. The food was very good. My wife had the short ribs and thought they were very good. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was tasty as well. The star of the show was the Kobe Beef hot rock appitizer... If I could get a meal sized portion of just that, I would have. Definitely will go again, but next time upstairs. Best place so far in Media that we have been to. It was a little pricy but worth it to have above average food in Media (which is loaded with average food).

I've dined at Azie a few times now, each time hoping for a better experience however I am continuously disappointed. The last time I was there, there was a rowdy, inappropriate group seated next to our table of 5. Our waiter apologized a few times and while it was not his fault I fully expected the manager to request the group to calm down or at least offer to move our table, none of which was done. We were not even approached by a manager. While they have excellent miso soup, overall the restaurant is noisy and the food is average.

Good food. Solid ambiance. Big fan of their kobe beef hot rock. Fairly easy to get in on the weekend with no reservation for two people.

Mediocre food. Sushi was really good but not as good as akira in southern nj. (That's become my standard) For as pricey as this place is I was expecting it to challenge buddakan. I was excited at the prospect of phillys best sushi being outside of the city. (It is, but it's on the other side of the Delaware) While I'm living in media, this will do but you've got to either lower your prices or step your game up. Service wasn't spectacular either but I guess it's slow season.

Great place to eat, i loved their Kobe Basil Fried Rice, i think they use sushi rice.....i always get that when i go there. They use to have a Kobe Blue cheese Burger but the last few times there, i haven't seen it on the menu. It was great when it was still available. Sushi is good and they have Sapporo on draft! This place a little pricy but good food and beer though.

We came to Azie for my wife's birthday on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. The sushi was fresh, food was good. The interior of the restaurant was interesting - there are four distinct environments depending on where you sit. There's a bit noisier bar area, a bigger dining room, a quiet, small nook, and the upstairs. So depending on what ambience you're in the mood for, you can find it here. It's a bit pricy, and while the food is good, I'm not sure it's good enough to warrant what you pay - but still, a good place to stop for dinner.

I've been to Azie for their bizarre brunch (eggs AND sushi next to each other....weird, but good!) and was looking forward to finally getting there for dinner. Thankfully, it wasn't packed on a warm Tuesday night, so we were seated right away. The decor in the dining room doesn't really make any sense to me - like it's trying to be modern, but mix in sand gardens. I don't like it, but, let's be honest, who really cares about the decor as long as the food is good! For appetizers, my boyfriend got the seaweed salad. It was a good portion, with nice, crisp flavors. For entrees, we split the tempura udon, Orange St roll, new philly roll, and TNT roll. The tempura udon was fantastic! The bowl was huge with a very flavorable broth. My only gripe is that they put the tempura veggies inside the broth before bringing the dish out, so it made them soggy. I definitely would have preferred the tempura stuff outside the bowl, but what's a minor issue. Also, if you think that's a big slice of tempura eggplant, you're wrong. It's a potato. Very weird. The rolls we got were interesting - and I mean that in a good way (for the most part). The orange street roll was delicious - the combination of the fresh fish with the jalapeno was a great surprise! If you like things with a little kick, I highly suggest this. The new philly roll was a little awkward. I loved the fact that there was kobe beef on it, but that's all you could taste. The TNT roll, which isn't on the online menu, was my favorite. Don't let the jalapeno scare you off - it's deep fried and seeded so the heat is muted. I would definitely get the TNT roll again. Azie is a cool place with fresh, delicious food. I'd definitely go back!

Really like this restaurant. Sushi is solid and small plates are great. Vibe is cool especially for small town media, pa. Waitstaff is good. Food comes out timely. Skip the desserts.

Since it opened, I've thought of Azie as one of the best restaurants in Delaware County, PA. Last night, I had a typically sumptuous dinner there, but I also encountered something different: Azie's new beverage program. Their new specialty cocktails sounded great and I was most impressed with the excellent new wine list. I'm just learning about wines, but I am a huge fan of dry rose wines. Azie now has an impressive selection of old-world and new-world wines, including a fantastic group of dry rose wines (rosados). Go there and ask sommelier Dan or server Kyle for a wine or cocktail recommendation. They won't steer you wrong.

If you want to subject yourself to loud noise go to a rock concert. The level of ear splitting sound was unbearable. I would have left but for the fact our friends have been coming here forever and made the reservations.... ..... We had Rock Shrimp Tempura Seaweed Salad Red Dragon Rolls Beet Salad Sea Bass Diver Scallop Fried Rice with Crab Seafood Tobanyaki Crab Pad Thai and Molten Choc Cake The items that stood out were the Molten Choc Cake, Crab Pad Thai and the Seafood Tobanyaki These were okay. The rice with crab was tasteless, the sea bass was okay, but the small portion size was a surprise. The diver scallop sauce tasted awkward, it just didn't compliment the fish. The service was polite but slow. With all the other restaurants in Media , we'll try somewhere else next time.

I've always spoken highly of this restaurant, raved about it having the best sushi in town, and when I lived in Newtown Square I frequented this place even though I had an issue every time I dined here. Last night was the last straw for me. While the atmosphere is beautiful and lively, some of the staff need to check their pretentious attitudes at the door. I made reservations for my partner and I have to dinner there on 4/3/15. This was my partner's first time dining here so we were looking forward to the kind of evening I've raved about. When we checked in at the front desk a guy in an orange button down top (assuming manager for the evening) gave us a very sly "what do you want" look, the hostess acted as if it was a hassle for her to escort us to our table, and the menus we were given were just menu covers with no actual menus inside. By now I was annoyed and even asked my partner if we could just venture to another restaurant because I could tell this was not going to be a pleasant experience at Azie. My partner wanted to stay, so we stayed. I ordered my usual sushi rolls, my partner is not a huge fan of sushi so they ordered the Chicken Teriyaki. Newsflash, if there are recipe changes the server should inform the diners especially when one of the two knows what to expect. The Chicken Teriyaki was NOT Chicken Teriyaki. It was rubbery chicken legs, mashed sweet potatoes, with some cooked edamame. My partner was just as shocked as I was and I immediately made it known that what was on our table was not Chicken Teriyaki. No one seemed to care. My partner ate 1/4 of their meal and waited for me to finish my sushi rolls before we paid the bill and left. Out of all the mishaps that have occurred in the past at this restaurant, last night took the cake. Next time we're in the mood for sushi we'll head to Margaret Cho's or Azie in Villanova where the staff is very friendly.

Excellent food, one of the fancier places in Media. Come here if you don't want to go all the way to Philly for a celebratory dinner or fancy date night. It is pretty pricey, though-some of the food is worth it, but most of it seems overpriced.

We ordered just about every app on the menu - and I don't regret it one bit! Tempura calamari with garlic mayo and oroshi ponzu dipping sauce - Pass. It was too chewy and the sauces we're a good pair for the chewy calamari. PASS. Spicy Tuna Tartar with Guacamole, Crunchy Corn Tortilla Chip - AWESOME. I would get this again. I uploaded a picture of this - I highly recomend this (and the roll below) Kobe beef hot rock seared tableside with citrus soy sauce - Awesome but eat it quick because the rock does not stay hot all night. Sesame crusted tuna sashimi with a seaweed scallion salad and spicy miso - This was good. Pretty standard but good quality. New Philly Roll - Ok so I've always stayed away from any sushi roll with meat. Its just not been something I'm interested in. I love meat. I love sushi. I don't love them together. AND THEN I WAS WRONG. The new Philly Roll is very approachable. So the New Philly Roll takes extremely thin sliced kobe beef and wraps it around the roll. This is the first time I've found meat and sushi to work together. I highly recomend this roll - just because its really rare to find meat in sushi and have it work.
I've dined at Azie twice in the past week - once with my wife and a second time with a business associate. Unfortunately both dining experiences were similar with respect the service. The service at Azie was awful both nights. On my first visit to this establishment with my wife, it took nearly 25 min for us to get a round of drinks. When we inquired about the delay the waitress told us that there were no clean glasses available for drinks and that they expected them soon. At that point, you would assume the manager would intervene or that they would comp the drinks. Negative on both of those. The same poor service carried over into my second dining experience the following night. I would have opted for another restaurant if it weren't for the fact that I booked the diner weeks in advance with a business associate and his wife. It was basically a repeat performance of the night before. When we inquired with our waitress about the long delays for food and drinks, she rudely told us "I do have other tables besides yours." At that point I spoke with the manager and requested a new server. Again the manager offered a simple apology but didn't seem empathetic at all. Sadly, the food is good but they will never see my business again nor will I be recommending this restaurant to friends, family or associates. Poor service can ruin the entire dining experience no matter how good the food is.

Food is really good. Service is ok, waiters here try to be funny, onetime they were rude. Food is a little pricey and wine is overpriced. The moscato that they have on the menu is in a bottle for 25 and I tried to see if I could take the bottle home and they asked for 35 dollars instead of 25. I checked online and the wine is 3 stars and sells for 7 dollars which means if they buy it in bulk they probably get it for 4 or 5 dollars. And the interior is nice and the drink cocktails are really good.

There's no worse a moment for a diner than the sudden sinking realization that an old reliable has sunk far enough that you can't make excuses for it any longer. I've long had my doubts about WIN Signature's restaurants in the area. They have had very much the same managerial issues in almost every restaurant they've opened and then closed: Parker's Prime, Sang Kee, Mixx, etc. The basic blueprint for a WIN Signature restaurant is: hire the absolutely greenest, cheapest service staff that you can and don't train them at all; get the concept cuisine boiled down to a no-fail minimum of recipes that almost any kitchen staff can reproduce regularly; go at least one notch under the premium tier of ingredient quality while staying above the chain-food tier. I have no idea what the ownership makes of their repeated failures in most locations, or if they understand why Azie was a more stable version of the same formula. Azie worked for a long time first because of location and because its local competition is fairly soft--Loic Barnieu's restaurants in Media go for almost the same formula only the kitchen staff is usually genuinely hapless, screwing up even some of the basics of the cuisine they're attempting to serve. But also because it had a slightly better trained, more professional waitstaff and because the menu's offerings were a bit better designed and executed than the other WIN restaurants. We've seen signs in the last year that this wasn't holding true any longer but this week it became impossible to ignore. We had a server who was sweet but utterly clueless about every aspect of service. We had food that was nasty in a way that couldn't just be ascribed to a bad night in the kitchen--almost everything we ordered was not only prepared poorly but very palpably had substandard ingredients. I had the lamb chops, for example--the "parsnip puree" tasted and looked like store-bought white sauce with a bit of sweetener added and the "fresh yellow beets" were three small chunks of ambiguous root vegetable hidden under the poor-quality well-done lamb chops. The rock shrimp tempura, an old reliable dish, was soggy, had an off-taste, and was drenched in what tasted like canned mayonnaise rather than aioli. And so on all around the table. What we saw and tasted suggested that a decision had been made to go down a notch in food quality while pretending otherwise in the menu descriptions and pricing. It really couldn't just be that the third-stringers were in the kitchen that night, though I think that was also the case. WIN seems to think that the name Azie is magic, since they've now got three restaurants by that name in the area. I suspect they're going to find out otherwise unless they change course.

A Monday evening was very crowded, probably more than the management expected in light of the poor service. We were seated in a small room with a group of six seated at the other table. They were all apparently members of the medical professional and they spent the entire evening loudly discussing how much money they had made and how they planned to make even more in the future. (One almost dislocated his shoulder patting himself on the back.). The acoustics were such that we could barely have a conversation; however, we can't blame Azie for the guests' behavior. Our order included a small soft shelled crab tempura, the soup of the day, a salad and crab pad Thai. The crab was indifferent and served cold; the soup was inedible because it was so thick--it was returned for clam chowder. The pad Thai was supposed to have lump crab meat but none was apparent; the fish that was present tasted old. The salad was ok. All in all a bad experience for $75 including a glass of beer and a sangria.

Any place where I can get my best friend and wife drunk while sipping on Warm Sake is A+ in my books. I love this place, and not for the food or the drinks. But for the great staff, proximity to home, great decor, and great prices. Awesome place to be anytime or the day or night, now if I can only convince someone to start Shabu Shabu or Uni there. We'd be set.

This is one of our go-to restaurants in the area whenever we visit my husband's family. The Asian fusion menu has something for everyone - sushi, which is usually our choice, as well as noodles, soups, and Asian inspired seafood and chicken entrees (chicken teriyaki, halibut, seabass etc) for those who are not sushi fans. The appetizers are also great - our favorites being the rock shrimp tempura which come with a creamy spicy mayo, and the avocado salad. As far as the sushi goes, they have a big selection of special rolls and other standard rolls and sashimi/nigiri. We really enjoy the special Azie roll, and both the salmon and tuna sashimi are fresh and generously sized. Make sure to call ahead for a reservation as it tends to fill up quickly.

People who say this is the best sushi in town needs to eat sushi elsewhere out of media. My sushi was warm, put together well, but not nearly fair priced. Glad I had a gift card, sorry it didn't cover the whole bill. The mushroom dumplings were good but people don't go to dinner for apps they go to dinner for a meal.

Azie is really wonderful in terms of service, food, and ambiance. My parents, best friend, and I stopped in for dinner tonight; we had no idea that we had stumbled upon such a fantastic restaurant. I ordered the lettuce cups (substituted tofu for chicken) and vegetarian platter. Each dish was really well-prepared and the serving sizes were way bigger than I expected. The vegetarian platter was curated with variety and, while I don't know much about sushi, I was very happy with the selection. Others at my table ordered Toban Yaki, two with tofu and one with seafood. They seemed to enjoy their orders as thoroughly as I did! The highlight of the meal was the warm, attentive, and intelligent service; the manager stopped by and was absolutely a doll. Our waitress was awesome and super friendly! Definitely recommending Azie to everyone I know!

Sub par service. We dine out very often, biz and pleasure. We attended this establishment 3 times in one week. First time was great food and decent service. SecoNd visit we were disappointed with service but figured that it may have been a one off. Since the food was good, we decided to give them another shot. Unfortunately the service was horrible again! ....actually atrocious! One night We waited 30 mins for our drinks after we ordered them. And food took really really long. On second bad night, the service was once again terrible. The waitress simply was never around. We had to eventually ask another server for assistance. We tried mentioning it to our waitress in a polite manner, but she was upset that we grabbed another waiter and was very rude and confrontational. She basically told us off and said 'WELL I HAVE OTHER TABLES'. We dine out often, and for the price of this place no one deserves to be spoken to that way. We had to switch waiters because of her poor attitude. The only upside was that we finally got our waiter switched and had a guy named Jarod who was really nice and tended to us with great service. Overall, the cost of this place is not worth the crappy service. They need more wait staff. ******UPDATE***** I received an inbox message from the manager of this restaurant, accusing me of making false accusations about their establishment. He went on to state that it was our table that was the issue and closed off by stating that we are no longer welcome at this establishment. This is a first for me in my entire life. We dine out every single weekend and I would have no motive to make any type of false statements. Coincidentally, many other reviews echo exactly what I stated, that the service is poor and they were not happy. I stand by my review and clearly based on the managers lack of professionalism it is evident that they lack good service. I would never pay to be spoken to that way so I would never return or recommend this place to anyone.

First parent weekend at Swarthmore College and we needed a nice restaurant in Media. So glad we found Azie, a HOMERUN! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the crowd is eclectic. We were seated immediately for a 6;15 reservation and were treated by a very friendly staff from the maitre'd to the waitress and everyone in between. The food was outstanding! Very interesting menu primarily Asian along with a great selection of creative seafood and steak dishes. We started with the Miso Chicken with cool lettuce cups for appetizers then several sushi rolls. The sushi rolls were fresh, very different and delicious. We ordered the Azie roll, New Philly (my favorite) and the Soft Shell Crab roll. We also ordered a Kobe Skirt steak that was deliciously tender! For desert my college age kids ordered the fried ice cream that was very good. Next time I will try the beef short ribs for an entree and chocolate bomb for desert. Media is a great town with many restaurant choices. Im not sure this one can be beat. We will be back very soon!

A favorite in Media. Been there more times than I can count. Try the rock shrimp tempura, miso lettuce cup, miso soup, calimari and any roll or sushi on the menu. Every meal has been great and I love the design of the interior. At lunch, they have entree sets that are wonderful and a good value. Love Azie.

This is the best sushi in the Media area, in my opinion. My first waitress job was at a sushi restaurant with an amazing chef from Japan. I had to wear a kimono, funky socks with the toe slot -- the whole bit. I learned all about proper sushi preparation, and so I feel comfortable saying that I have eaten at some other places around the Media area, and again I say, Azie is best in this area. For sushi, cleanliness is paramount. Next, fresh ingredients that have been handled properly. Then, proper flavoring and preparation. Finally, assembly and presentation. Azie comes through on all counts. I will say that sometimes with the rolls they go heavy on sauces or sweet flavors, and I wish they wouldn't. But, then, "specialty" rolls are usually nontraditional and I know there are people who like all that sauce. To be fair, I have not had any of the more "fusion" menu items yet or the more American items, so I can't talk about those items. We really like the happy hour at the bar provided it isn't too crazy-crowded. I'm not sure why folks are cranky about the service, because I think the bartender is fantastic. I wish I knew his name so I could say it here. He is attentive, friendly, and funny. He is pretty entertaining. I think he was doing dance moves one night behind the bar. Another night, we witnessed these two guys come in and be so freakin' rude, and the bartender handled it with humor and a smile. The happy hour is a great deal with some very low-priced rolls and other more American-ish type items. Drink specials are good, although I always seem to want the Sangria (white sangria--yum!) or other specialty drinks that aren't on special. Again, I don't know why some people have been cranky in other reviews about service. The service we have had in the dining room was great. Our servers made suggestions and were very helpful with menu item ingredients. The dining room is a bit pricey for me to go back often, but the bar and happy hour is a great, affordable alternative.

We really love this place for dinner...the food is very good, the wait staff friendly and efficient. BUT...Sunday brunch on Father's Day was another story. Granted that holidays are exceptionally hectic, but the whole operation seemed poorly planned and poorly executed. Both upstairs and downstairs tables were occupied, although the upstairs buffet had, intentionally, fewer items. Of all things at brunch...EGGS were only downstairs, both in a serving container of scrambled eggs and at the omelet station. Desserts also were only to be found downstairs and they ran out an hour or so before brunch was over. We were only two, but a nearby table of 12 or 14 had several seniors who were understandably angry at huffing and puffing up and down the stairs just to get some eggs, not to mention sharing the same stairs with darting waiters. On the upstairs level, the food was tasty and frequently replenished, but cold as a rock. The familiar wait staff was as pleasant and energetic as always, but far too overwhelmed to be attentive. Just getting a cup of coffee required chasing your waiter down through tables of other diners. I came away with the conclusion that managing a good buffet brunch is a lot different than managing restaurant dinners and this place has surely not perfected their brunch skills yet.

Great food, ambience, Very nice happy hour especially on these cold winter nights. The portions are nice at happy hour and the prices are fine. Run into many locals there and if you're from out of town just strike up a conversation at the cozy , beautiful yet very hip and trendy bar. All ages welcome. People are friendly and here's a plus--- a woman can go there solo and not feel uncomforatble.. Sometimes girls just wanna get out! For lunch or dinner at tables it is also very enjoyable. The food is very good and artistically served. Even my 18 year old enjoys going there to dine with me. The brunch is less formal and it's not a huge selection as other buffets but the taste and textures make up for limited selection. This is 5 stars in my book and I can't wait to try their other one in Nova.

When this place first open I gave it a whirl and was pretty disappointed. I know I got scallops, but it was a long time ago, so I don't remember what the issue was exactly. However, a few years later I gave it another shot, and now, I crave this place. The Rock Shrimp Tempura I literally dream about! They are buttery crunchy spicy goodness. I no longer live in the area, but when I visit Azie is on my must stop list! I have had the halibut several times, and I love it, but most recently, on the waitresses recommendation I tried the Chilean Sea Bass. I was deciding between that and the Duck Confide. She said the Sea Bass was one dish that hasn't changed at all since it's inception, because it is really pretty perfect just the way it is. I gave it a shot, and wow. The bass was cooked to ultimate perfection. It was served on two asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes, which to my delight were not overpowering. The one thing I was less than thrilled about was the sauce. On the menu it is referred to as a Yuzu mustard glaze. I didn't know what Yuzu was, but apparently it is a sweet fruit. For me, it was a little too sweet. I had been hoping for a little bite, and that wasn't there at all. However, I still ate every bite and quite enjoyed it. I would order it again and again. I think I am starting to drool just thinking about it. I have had the Sushi too, and it's good, but I prefer the fish. My sister gets the Teriyaki salmon, and she always licks her plate clean. If you're a salmon lover, seems like a good bet. Dining on the roof is awesome. If you can, so it. The chairs are a little awkward, so one person on the bench is much lower than the person on the chair, but it is still well worth it. So nice to dine alfresco! They have these fire poles that keep you nice and toasty.

Bear in mind that this review was on a wednesday (dining under the stars) I feel like this restaurant could be 4 stars on any day other than wednesday. We arrived around 7 and sat at the bar until a table became available outside. Once we were seated outside it took about 7-8 minutes for the server to come over and grab our cocktail order. After ordering the cocktails it was literally 20 minutes before the cocktails arrived. She came out with cocktails for 3 tables. The cocktails were very good. My wife and I are both in the restaurant industry so we have a habit of analyzing everything when we go out. There were 15 tables outside and while we were there we saw the same server taking care of all of the tables -- how do you expect good service when the server has to take care of that many people? ... On to the food. Hot Rock -- Fantastic, but for $20 the portion was a bit small even if it is Kobe Beef Salmon -- Delicious, perfectly cooked, and the green beans were plentiful and well prepared Godzilla Roll -- Cannot say enough about how good that was. Very substantial Ordered a second cocktail when the entrees arrived and received it when the entrees were finished. We would have loved to order dessert, or look at it, but didn't see much of our server this night. I think that the most irritating thing this evening was that after taking our card it took 10 minutes to process it and get it back. By this point we were frustrated and just wanted to get gelato down the street. I wish I could say that our server was pleasant when she was at the table, but my guess is she was so frustrated that she had so many tables and couldn't provide good service. Management was around, but didn't speak to the tables despite people doing the tell tale "look around". Your food is fantastic. Please staff properly so people don't leave with a bad taste in their mouth. The food came out quickly after the order was placed. The bar must have been drowning, or you didn't have enough wait staff to expedite the drinks/care for the tables.

I was not impressed. The service was very slow and the food took forever. At the end of the day, I was wishing I would have just gotten a sandwich. Very underwhelming. Very disappointing. The medium steak came out burnt to a crisp. They said they would refire it right away. Someone that took 25 minutes, which helped me realize why it was overcooked in the first place. The sushi was average at best. There was nothing memorable about this restaurant other than how long it took to find a parking spot. Maybe I am sushi spoiled living in the LA area, I don't know.....

This has been a favorite of my family for years now! It might be a bit expensive but you get what you pay for here, the food is excellent. Azie is a place that you can eat a nice lunch or dinner and leave feeling full but not disgusting and bloated. Everything is light but filling and very tasty. The employees are also very nice!

Best place for sushi in the area for me. I went there after abandoning the awful college cafeteria food on a Saturday night and it was definitely worth it. There are surprisingly quite a number of places to get sushi in the area and Azie comes down as my favorite. The place has a fun and definitely trendy atmosphere. There are different seating areas, and a bar by the lounge. Without having made a reservation we were seated by the bar, which was decent. Would like to check out the window and upstairs area in the future. The people are friendly and quick. It has both a restaurant and lounge feel, which makes the eating the food a better experience. The sushi was pretty good in my standard. The selection was decent, not as extensive as I'd expected, but included the standards and some surprises. Price is decent for what you get, and compared to the other options around. The rolls are around $10 and nigiris are around $6 for two. Portions are decent. Definitely try the Azie roll and the Soft Shell Crab. They were delicious. Didn't try the appetizers but from looking at tables around me they look pretty good. Would go back again for sure. I hear happy hour is awesome?

Went in tonight with my boyfriend for a special occasion. We were seated in the very comfortable dining room and our server Ashley was super personable. The rock shrimp tempura is absolutely delicious, my favorite thing we had. The beef carpaccio was tender and very tasty. We got a couple sushi rolls and finished the evening with some A++ creme brulee and fondue. Pricey, but a very nice evening at a restaurant I would like to come back to. Would recommend!

I have been to Azie a few times. A few of the items are very similar to what you would see on Morimoto's menu because at one time a sous chef from Morimoto left and became a chef here. That is why I knew to order the rock shrimp tempura and the kobe beef carpaccio. The rock shrimp tempura is one of my favorite apps of any restaurant. The Azie roll and the Nigiri was delicious. I did not go there for the sushi though. I entrees are very well done. This past time, I ordered the lamb chops and they were cooked perfectly. The parsnip puree was excellent. My wife had the Pad Thai and my parents had the short ribs and the sea bass. I tasted them all and would have ordered all of them. I would def go back to Azie. The service is always excellent and the food is worth the trip.

I can't understand all of these great reviews. Food was awful and expensive. Spicy tuna tartar was so bad, maybe 3 ounces of tuna that was flavorless. Calamari salad was over dresses and salty. Do I need to go on? Soft shell crab was not fresh, pad thai was ketchupy and too spicy. Just stay home.

Great dinner. Edamame was a great deal for a starter. Both of our fish dishes were fantastic, especially if they come with crab risotto. When in doubt, go with fish of the day and sangria of the day for a cocktail.

The ambiance is great; the whole place is well decorated. By the way, the little rock path decorations on the ground is not friendly on heels, ladies. Our waitress was excellent. However the food was sub par. For such high prices, you do expect something better, but it wasn't even as good as my normal sushi place. I ordered the Azie, thinking if they named it after the restaurant it has to be good, but it was just OK. The udon noodles were overdone. The New Philly roll was decent but is kobe beef ever not good? The scallop roll was my least favorite; there was no flavor and I have Korean taste buds. I heard the [expensive] entrees and mixed drinks are delicious so maybe I'll try that next time. But for sushi, I'll stick with my default.

My girlfriend and I have been here a handful of times and have always come away pleased. The interior seems trendy without being over the top. Azie fits nicely into downtown Media, providing a slightly classier option as compared to some of the more laid-back bar/restaurants down the street. Although, our favorite seating area is definitely the rooftop deck. I was pleasantly surprised to see a decent beer list with a few local brewery options. Each time we've been to Azie, we've shared sushi for dinner, and each time it has been very good. But the highlight of our last visit was definitely the rock shrimp tempura appetizer. Our waiter informed us that it won some sort of award for best appetizer in the area, and I believe it. And while I'm on the topic, hats off to our waiter who overcame our inability to choose beers by bringing us rather large samples of several of them. Azie is a great spot for those nights when the occasion requires you to dress up a little, but is also great for a casual dinner upstairs on the deck.

Food was all fantastic. I had the shrimp tempura to start which was a great size, well presented and delicious. The Philly sushi wasn't as scary as it sounds and the deep fried ice cream was a great treat to top it all off. The only down side? The price of the sushi rolls for the amount of food wasn't great, otherwise a fantastic meal.

My wife and I were in Media to visit family, and we decided to try Azie. Overall, it was a very good experience. The outdoor deck for dining was a nice surprise, especially since the weather was gorgeous. We had a nice mix at the table of sushi, appetizers, and seafood dishes. We also tried their bread pudding, which was fantastic. The only reason for not giving it a 5 star rating was the prices for the portion size and accompaniments provided with the dishes. We live in Manhattan, NYC, and are used to expensive restaurants, but I felt that for the prices Azie was charging in Media PA, there should have been a bit more food on the plate.

Odd mix of sushi and Asian inspired dishes Lots of Kobe beef, must have been on sale. Small portions, good miso soup, I left here hungry

Upscale dinning experience with an appropriate cost. Great mix of authentic Far East fused with some American twists.

Food and experience were superb! Christina, our server, was both affable and efficient. My sea bass and my wife's duck (the special) were fabulous. Would go back in a minute.

I LOVE this place. Before I moved here, every visit Azie was a must on the to-do list. The service is great. In all the times I've been there I've only had ONE bad waiter. But he wasn't the one delivering the food, and that guy was fantastic, so it worked out. Be nice and friendly and service is fantastic. The food... I love it. I'm in love with the Cream Cheese and Crab Spring Rolls. Rave reviews there. I could eat a thousand of those. Yumm. The Teriyaki Salmon is my all time favorite, but Teriyaki anything there is fantastic. Other favorites inclue the Rock Shrimp Tempura, the Pork Chops, the Truffle French Fries, the California Sushi roll, and the Calamari. I've had the Honey Chicken and didn't think it was so special - good, but not great. The dessert menu is something I haven't traveled too far into. The Chocolate Bomb is amazing my friend raves and I haven't gone wrong with their ice cream. I hear the drinks are good. But I usually don't order them. A little pricey but what drink isn't nowadays? So, yeah, great ambience, decor (very modern loungy feel), and fantastic food!

Chic restaurant. Great food & service. Full bar, drinks available even when kitchen is closed. Pricey but worth it.

How do I say this, oh thats right over-rated. The only thing this place excels at is great service with an atmosphere to match. This is of course a good thing and difficult for an restaurant to implement however, it does not take away from the fact the food is just not that good. I have certainly had better sushi and other Asian cuisines. Go here for happy hour not food.

I went and checked this place out for Sunday brunch. It was a $16 all you can eat deal, and the food has a nice variety and is quite tasty. They have the usual breakfast items like eggs, bacon, and french toast, as well as Asian specialties like sushi, dumplings, and noodles, plus soup, fruit, and dessert. Why the two stars? 1. POSSIBLY THE WORST SERVICE EVER. I mean, it was obscenely bad. It started when the hostess was downright hostile toward us when we walked in. Once we were seated, no one spoke to us for almost 20 minutes, so we couldn't even place a drink order. We didn't finally get someone's attention until we'd both finished an entire plate of food. And once we did finally place our drink orders, they took so long to come that we had already finished eating and didn't really even want them anymore. No one apologized or acknowledged the problem. Unacceptable. 2. Though admittedly the food tasted good, we both felt absolutely nauseous afterward, and I spent the better part of the day feeling like I was going to vomit. I have quite a strong stomach, so that means there was something pretty darmn wrong with what I ate. I won't be heading back.

I enjoyed Azie...it was my first time dining there for dinner. My date and I were seated on the rooftop deck which was very pretty. The only drawback to the night was that when we were served our dinner (sushi) we were not given utensils or dishes in order to eat...it took several attempts to get the attention of the server, but once we did, everything else was relatively good. I highly recommend the lychee martini! :)

As mentioned by other reviewers the service here blows. It was really hard to get our servers attention when I wanted more water and to see a menu again. Servers whose attention we weren't trying to get took away beers before they were finished. Our waitress was really fake and kinda scary. We got a dirty look when we first ordered water to drink. Later my boyfriend ordered a beer. I felt really uncomfortable the whole time. We were seated on the second floor and watched lots of servers just standing around gossiping behind the drink counter while people were trying to get their attention. The food was overpriced and just "ok". My boyfriend had the tempura udon at $12. We lived in Japan for two years, so we know what good udon tastes like. This one was okay, and kinda tasted like fast food in Japan. It was okay, not bad, but I've had better in the US as well, and for cheaper. I had the Azie roll, which was a major disappointment. It was mostly avocado and needed more rice. It was kinda puny and there barely was any tuna in it. The salmon skin roll on the other hand was very nice, and I enjoyed it. The biggest disappointment of the evening food wise was the Parmesan truffle fries. All we could taste was garlic and loads of salt. If I wasn't so hungry I couldn't have eaten them. I ordered them because the two rolls didn't fill me up as they usually do. I don't know about their entrees because we didn't order one. The stuff being brought to other tables did look good though. If the service had been better, I might be willing to give Azie another try. Azie's isn't expensive, but it isn't cheap either. I think next time I want sushi I'd rather pay a little more cash for better service and food quality and go somewhere like Morimoto where I've had a far better experience.

Every time I visit my hometown, I stop into Azie with my mom and sister. And every time I leave, I'm incredibly pleased with the experience. I think they could improve upon the customer service skills of their hosts, as I've been largely ignored on several occasions while they talk to each other. Their waitstaff are great, attentive without being overbearing; water is refilled quickly, and food is served in a timely fashion, no matter how busy. I think the cocktails are a bit overpriced for Media - most are $11 - but at least they're strong and mighty tasty. The Azie Blue (blueberry vodka, lemonade, and muddled mint) is the PERFECT summer beverage, and I've taken to making it at home. The star of the show is, of course, the food. On our last visit, we started with the seaweed salad and the chicken miso lettuce cups. The salad is a no-brainer, hard to mess up, and the lettuce cups were delicious and plentiful, easily split among three. Highly recommended. And we didn't try any of the entrees, instead focusing on the sushi: the Azie, soft shell crab, New Philly, and shrimp tempura rolls. I didn't try the New Philly, but my sister orders it with every visit, so they're doing something right. The Azie roll is basically a spicy tuna roll with avocado on top, so it's not reinventing the wheel, but it does have a great balance of spice and smoothness. The soft shell crab and shrimp tempura rolls are pretty standard, and very tasty. In summary, their sushi isn't necessarily creative, but they pull it off very well.

When we lived in Media, this was the spot we went to on our anniversaries. On the eve of our due date of our first born we visited again and were not disappointed! I asked the cute little waiter what types of fruits drinks they had...and he showed me the tropical special drinks...I point to the beach ball critter under my shirt and he blushed. He brought me the pineapple juice. I started with the avocado salad- it's served with field greens and tomatoes with balsamic vin and a thai/peanutty sort of dressing- and a WHOLE sliced avocado. And I LOOOOOVE me some avocado. For both dinner and dessert I went with the fondue choices on the menu- dinner was the cheese fondue with tempura chicken, shrimp and veggies. I know tempura is sort of an amateur move when you're at a nice sushi resty BUT...I'm 40 weeks pregnant so if someone wants to fight about it, I'll be happy to take them outside... ;-) Dessert was also delish- chocolate fondue with all the fruit and marsh mellows I could handle. I was rightfully stuffed. I'm excited to go back on the anniversary of our first date...or our birthday or something of the sort.

Excellent. We are regulars and have been around the superb sushi as well as the fusion menu. Everything is well prepared and consistently excellent. My favorite draw of this restaurant is that they are as good on a slow Tuesday at 4:30 pm as they are at a busy Saturday at 8 pm.

Decided to try Azie this Tuesday when we heard that they where doing a donation to the A.S.P.C.A for that night. We made reservations for 9 but walked in a little early and got seated right away. Right off the bat i liked the style of the restaurant with the glass doors, stone work and very modern feel which is completely different from its sister restaurant Teikoku, not that its a bad thing. I started of with the Truffle French fries as an appetizer and was pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. They had plenty of flavor and the bowl came with plenty to start a meal off. I then went with the Azie fried rice which was also delicious. It wasn't the typical fried rice that you would normally get at a take out joint or restaurant. There was plenty of flavor and did the job filling me up as an entree. My girl friend ordered the Tofu Miso soup as a starter and from what she said wasn't any thing special. But in my experience Miso soup is the same any where you go. She proceeded to try the Azie roll which was nice with the spicy tuna and mayo. Over all we enjoyed the food at Azie. The selection wasn't as big as some of the other places but it was every thing you needed. On top of that we enjoyed the fact that some of the bill was Donated to the A.S.P.C.A !

I went here with my wife and another couple as part of the wonderful Media Jazz at Night annual event. I really picked it because Bootsie Barnes was playing here. The couple we invited are not really huge Jazz fans, but adventuresome (though healthy) eaters. The atmosphere is VERY downtown. You'd never know you were in quaint little almost-Southern Media, PA. The bar was very hip, and had Chimay on draft as well as a nice selection of house wines. We were seated in the dining room separate from the bar, where we could not hear the band, but the waiter was accommodating and opened the windows so the music could waft in through the street. Fortunately, the foursome next to us seated directly BY the windows were also accommodating about the autumnal air accompanying the B3 trio, but since they were nibbling off an enormous and GORGEOUS sushi platter, they didn't have to worry about their meal getting cold. We split a smaller version (and found, that on fact, some pieces like the eel, and California roll were, in fact, served warm. It was quite a respectable selection to split for four as a light appetizer. There were also some tuna, whitefish and salmon nigiri. My three partners each ordered a different fish, Black Bass, Chilean Se Bass and Salmon, and each was prepared differently, all quite well. I ordered the Rock Lobster Toban Yaki (two medium size tails) a preparation served in a sizzling ceramic plate with root vegetables and squash in a mildly sweet and hot glaze. All entrees were under $30 and varied quite widely. Plenty of delicious-sounding choices. Waitstaff was polite and attentive, refilled water, and knew the menu very well. We DID have a wobbly table, and probably should have complained, but as Bootsie was the headlining act, the place was packed, and we had already waited 1/2 hr. for that table. After dinner, we lingered at the bar for a nightcap, and to hear the set finish out. The management thoughtfully left the Phillies on the two flat screens above the bar (with the volume all the way down.) At 1/2 hour from my home, it's not as close as downtown Philly, but parking is easy, and it's a very good value. I suppose i"d go out of my way to eat here again (or at the closer shop in Villanova.) Too bad they don't have Jazz every weekend ! P.S. Went back for more Bootsie at the 2011 fest. Food was just as good as we remembered. Very creative, well-executed food. Service was also impeccable.

Azie was like a shimmery star for us locals when we found out it was opening. It wasn't bar food, it wasn't crappy chinese takeout, it seemed kind of fancy and almost slick and hip. Sadly, I think the best thing about this place is the bathroom (which is really really cool. i mean, seriously, i'd live in this bathroom if i could. it's kind of worth it just to run in and check it out). I've never gone for dinner, but have gone several times for happy hour as a good friend worked there...but even with him in tow....the service stunk. We'd all have to cram into this tiny front seating area to qualify for the discounted apps and drinks and he'd have to get up more than once during the meal to get us a drink, food, etc...and he wasn't on the clock. If it wasn't him, it would be at least 4 different people randomly coming over greeting us. We were greeted once, that was enough. Thanks. They were going out of their way to advertise these specials...but we got treated like we were trying to trick them out of money. Really though, we were just poor 20 somethings attempting to get some sushi at a reasonable price and perhaps get a little tipsy in the process. We weren't rooting through their trashcan in hopes of an asparagus roll, so why were we treated like street urchins? Hell, we'd even dress a little nicer if we knew we were going there, so we tried. It was never enough. In the two hours you had to get your food and drinks, you'd be lucky to get 2 drinks at the discounted price....and they were watching that clock. And just on a personal note...their food never once made me feel full. I'd always have to leave and get a real dinner so my stomach would stop growling for the night.

Well well well, what do we have here. City dining on the west end of Media? This place is beautiful, and I'm going to play down the sad fact that my sashimi - while generously sized - just wasn't the freshness or quality that I've come accustomed to. They why 4 stars? Because the caribou ribs in a tamarind bbq sauce (which my father in law got) were stellar, the halibut (husband's choice) over a creamy risotto was delicious, flakey and everything you want halibut to be, and the side order of wasabi mashed potatoes were so stellar that I quickly learned to eat mashed potatoes with chopsticks. Hell to the yeah.

Tried the Brunch Buffet last weekend... Bloody Mary could have used a tune up, a little blah for my tastes. Food was replenished generously, however not much of a selection. Might stick to Azie for later day festivities... drinks, apps and dinner.

Although I have not been here for dinner, I was pleasantly surprised by the very quaint and reasonable brunch that is offered! from 11-2 or 3, for $16 pp Azie offers an array of items from the traditional eggs, bacon and french toast to sushi, dumplings and tempura! The spread is great, the price can;t be beat and the staff is sweet as can be! DO call ahead for reservations as it is tiny inside and fills up quickly!

My wife and I have "dined" many times at Azie and always with similar results. I put dine in quotes because most times we just get a spot in the bar area. That is what we did on 7/6 and the results were good. When we sit in the bar we tend to just share a few things. We got the ground spiced chicken with lettuce leaves which is always good. We just got into sushi so we got the sesame crusted tuna with seaweed salad. The seaweed salad was really excellent, the presentation beautiful and the whole dish just worked. We got a fried rice with shrimp and while it was ok, they have done better there before. Service was very professional and always has been for us. The crowd on this evening was a lot of 20 somethings coming in on date night. Girls wearing dresses and guys wearing golf shirts generally. A very clean nice young crowd.
I had really high hopes for this place as it is near my home but Azie does not measure up. Please keep in mind that I try a place three times (minimum) before I judge it, after all any place can have a bad day. Azie looks great! Walking in you would think you were on Walnut Street. The food and the service are a let down, don't get me wrong, it is decent but the 'burbs has lots of decent Asian food. I was hoping for a higher standard, this is not it. They have hand rolls but no sushi or sashimi, when I inquired as to why this was "we do not want to compete with our other restaurant Teikoku" was the reply. Margaret Kuo has two restaurants in media (one on state st. and one in the Granite Run mall) less that three miles apart, yet Azie feels they will dilute the brand if the open a restaurant serving sushi and sashimi within 10 miles of their Newtown Square restaurant, give me a break! Don't get me started on "fusion" world cuisine my a$$. It is a step up from "store front Asian" but if you are willing to drive 30 minutes to Philly you can do much better.

Had the rock shrimp which was really good! There were 5 of us, we all had an app and entree. Unfortunately we all left hungry. The food is good, service is fine but it is overpriced and the portions are way too small.

I'm giving Azie 4 stars primarily for their excellent sushi. Although I've had some of the entrees (pricey), noodles, and appetizers, which were very good, the sushi trumps it all for me. The signature Azie roll with spicy tuna, avocado, tempura crunchies and eel sauce is simply amazing. However, be cautious of the New Philly roll - cheese and steak don't blend well with traditional sushi flavors, in my opinion and in my stomach. The service can be slow at times, and you might want to make a reservation before you go to avoid a long wait. The whole building is very cool, modern, and interesting, from the first level bar to the rooftop deck.

Summary: great food, hit-or-miss service, excellent happy hour specials, and I'm thrilled they're opening one on the Main Line. Pan-Asian / fusion / tired cliche #3; Azie has good sushi and a bunch of other staples of the genre. As with many other restaurants on Media's strip, Azie is better than it needs to be, and turns out to be a social scene as well as place for some classy grub. Service can be stellar and attentive, lax and laid back, or downright rude. In dozens of visits, the only "rude" experience was when we had a large party and a reservation, and the snobby hostess unapologetically kept us waiting for an hour and a half. The worst part was, we didn't mind waiting since we were all hanging out at the bar; all they needed to have done to repair things was send out some quick snackies to keep us satisfied. But no. In spring and summer, the rooftop bar is outstanding, though it can get windy up there and service seems to crawl as waitstaff need to scale three stories to provide food and drink. The real gem here though is the happy hour specials, recently expanded to include wings, parmesean truffle fries, and edamame in addition to the bargain-basement but still quite high-caliber sushi and drink deals. Best of all: they recently announced that an Azie will be taking the place of Maia on Lancaster Avenue in Villanova. I was a HUGE fan of Maia, but if anyone is going to inherit the space, I'm thankful it's Azie! Best: Happy hour deals, rock shrimp tempura. Indistinguishable from that at Morimoto's and a bunch of other high-end Asian joints, but much cheaper. Worst: service could be better.

The restaurant itself is very nice - almost doesn't fit in. I have eaten lunch and dinner here and have taken out on numerous occasions; however, I have only had salads and sushi. The sushi is really very good, which surprised me because I am always a bit afraid to eat sushi outside of the city. Try the calamari salad!

This visit was just meh for all of us. Service was great, but the food was disappointing. We all agreed that the appetizer portions were smaller and the sushi were really skinny this time, while price remains high.

Azie, anchoring the west end of Media, offers a menu of flavors not normally associated with the Delco county suburbs. Trading on quality and atmosphere, the restaurant attempts to give people the "Philly" experience without having to make the drive. Sure, it's a couple rungs up on the price ladder than people might be used to, but for me the price is worth it. You're not just enjoying cool twists on Asian fare, you're enjoying the ambiance and the atmosphere the restaurant provides for everyone. To get a decent sampling of what they offer, they also host a Sunday brunch buffet for $16/person, that's full of you standard fare (pancakes, eggs) and more unusual (tempura, miso soup, terriyaki, sushi rolls). Certainly not able to boast it's full menu on Sunday mornings, it still gives a tease of what the restaurant can offer other times. I have yet to run into any poor service or icy stares from the waitstaff; what I have received is attention and knowledge of the menu. I've been steered in wonderful directions by servers and have never had an empty water glass. Fusion is such a cliche these days, but I think Azie domes to define it well - especially in their sushi roll offerings. I'd recommend the new Philly roll to anyone going. As a Media resident, I'm glad to see a place like Azie come in and do well in the town. I can only hope it's continued success will give others the idea to take the chance on Media.

(5)Liz L.
(3)Marcie L.
(5)Kit-N-Debbie W.
(5)Allie S.
(5)Thomas G.
(4)Jenny L.
(4)Tom F.
Definitely a Philly style restaurant placed in delco. I personally had a really good expeirience there (may have been the saki) and the check price was expected prior to heading in the restuarant. The place had a good ambiance to it and is what i would consider the "high end" place in media.
(4)Laura W.

(3)Sam W.

So good. Posh seating. Wonderful sushi. Fun drinks. YUM.
(4)John C.

Really like the atmosphere for a media haunt. Love the food!

(3)Sandy L.
(2)Chris J.
(3)Breann P.
Best sushi hands down!! They do a great brunch on Sunday's, and I recommend the pom-pom cocktail.
(5)Mari K.
(5)Brian S.
(3)Sandy M.
Great foods ever in Media and near Philly area. I visited on sunday for restaurant week. Cocktail was two thumbs up and foods are excellent too. Highly recommend sea bass and diver scallops from entrée, and rolls good also. Lemon sorbet was perfect for last. There's very clean and modern interior. Also our server was very kindly. I don't know his name but very tall and white. He was really good I never saw in other restaurants. I definitely go there again and recommend to my all friends and family.
(5)Elli S.

(4)Kim G.
Good sushi! Probably the best in Media in my opinion. I've been here a few times and have had fresh sushi both times. A little on the higher end price wise for sushi.
(4)Ashley S.
(3)Erik S.
(5)Richard L.
I expected more out of Azie, the food was good but overpriced by a lot. I would probably visit here again, but I'd like to think there are better places for similar food in the media area. I'll give it a 3 star rating because the food was good, the ambiance/decoration was nice and the staff were kind
(3)jimmy w.
Rolls: Average Fish: Excellent Service: Good Overall I would go back. Not the best in the area but still worth a trip. Take an afternoon to walk around media, then grab a bite at Azie. Youll leave happy.
(4)Andrea C.

(2)Felicia N.

(4)Marie S.

(3)Michael T.
(5)Nadean H.
(4)Matt B.
(4)Sammy J.
(1)Candy H.
(4)Marilyn B.
Tasty food. Expensive for portion sizes. Vegetarians will need to ask for special dishes. Gorgeous interior. Some of the waitstaff are nice on the eyes but not as good at service. Kitchen can be slow and then all of your food suddenly arrives. Now to get this in Haiku form.
(4)Marissa S.
Great ambiance and food. I've ordered take out a few times after my shift at work and have eaten in a few times. Staff is always pleasant. Everything is clean. The New Philly roll is the best and is my favorite!
(5)L S.
Loved the decor and the service was good. I got the chicken teriyaki entree it was very good...the chicken was juicy and tender and the yams melted in my mouth!
(4)Lin Z.
(3)Sasha C.
Giving it the benefit of the doubt unlike the peeps that walked out. Food meh, service bad on Friday night, bar shorthanded. I was dehydrated and couldn't get a drink of water. Bartender was kinda pompous. Maybe they were just having a rough night. Quite disappointing..
(3)Maria E T.
The ambience it's very nice, I like the lights and service. It has good sushi and friendly service.
(4)Mandy H.
(4)Caroline S.
I dined at Azie (Media location) recently with a few coworkers on a weeknight. I have to say that this is probably one of the loudest restaurants I've been to. I quickly gave up attempting to actually listen to the table's conversation and instead focused on my wine glass, nodding in agreement every so often. The table ordered quite a few different appetizers for sharing including the rock shrimp tempura, spicy tuna tartare, and miso chicken lettuce cups. The tempura and tuna tartare were okay but I have had better elsewhere. The presentation of the lettuce cups reminded me of high school lunch room food.. Needless to say, I passed on these. I ordered the diver scallops without bacon (the waitress assured me that the bacon was primarily for flavor so I felt comfortable nixing it). Scallops are served on a crepe like bed with arugula, sautéed calamari and cherry tomatoes. What is not included in the description (just double checked on Azie's website) is shaved cauliflower. I know not too horrible but it was practically inedible in the way it was prepared and served (large shavings that were hard to cut let alone swallow). All in all, I did enjoy my entree and would recommend this to others if you're planning to dine at Azie. For dessert I had creme brûlée and again okay but I have had better. In conclusion if given the opportunity, do not settle in the suburbs.. We all know the food is better in the city.
(3)Jackie B.
I havr been here a few times and it is always very good! Great sushi I especially like the Azie roll and the New Philly. The tempura udon soup is also really good. Staff is always very nice also.
(5)Caitlin M.
(5)Nui O.
Great place for special occasions. Love their food and the decoration. We went last time for our anniversary. Had a great experience here as always : )
(5)Soraya P.
Food and atmosphere are enjoyable, although on weekends the service is quite bad because it's so busy. Servers are very amiable but those who seat you are usually less friendly. Last time I was there the fire alarm went off...
(4)Mike B.
(4)Reese A.
(3)Marisa L.
Good food. Solid ambiance. Big fan of their kobe beef hot rock. Fairly easy to get in on the weekend with no reservation for two people.
(4)Sandra S.
(3)Pao P.
(4)Mark D.
(4)Rita C.

The food and service are always great here! Sushi is always yummy!

Let me first point out that I am new to the Sushi game, and this is my first real experience eating it. This was also my first visit to Azie. I can say that I was very impressed with the décor of the restaurant. It was very easily the most upscale place I have been to in Media so far. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the calamari to start. I am a calamari snob, and I order it everywhere I go. I would rank this about the third best I have ever had! You could tell right away that it was fresh, not frozen. It was lightly battered and cooked perfectly, so it wasn't chewy at all. We ordered the following sushi rolls. The Red Dragon, Orange Street, New Philly, Azie, and the TNT roll. I also ordered the salmon sashimi. The New Philly roll was my favorite, followed by the TNT roll. All were good, but I didn't really care for the Red Dragon, as texture was just too mushy. I think it needed something with a little bit of crunch to even it out. The salmon sashimi was also excellent. You don't even realize you are eating it raw. I will definitely be returning and am looking forward to trying some of the other rolls.

Been there 4x now. Each and every time it got worse and worse. Now we will not go there anymore. Hot soup was luke warm, cold soup was luke warm. Service was horrible. Its a shame, great food going down the drain

Azie rolls are delicious and fish is fresh. Decor is good. Make sure to get a reservation ahead of time

Absolutely love this place and they have Gluten free options if need be !!

Presentation is amazing... i was waiting for this place to open for dinner service and a wait staff asked me if i wanted to be seated even tho they were closed... i still waited outside cause i didnt want to be a bother.. great food great service and all the new types of rolls and combinations... always try their dessert specials!

Sometimes I wake up having dreamed of the Red Dragon roll. Love lounge menu. Yum.

Love Azie.

Delicious food beautifully presented with excellent service.

The new philly roll was one of the best rolls I ever had. This place has awesome food. I was there when it was half full and the service was slow however the server was friendly
(4)Dee M.
(5)Matt K.
The Sunday brunch is AWESOME. While the regular prices are steep, the brunch is reasonable and the selection and service is fantastic. I suggest everyone try this at least once!

(2)Chris M.
(2)Jessica K.
(5)Bre G.
Best place to eat in Media hands down. The service is great and the food never dissapoints. Some things to try if you like sushi the azie roll and the new philly roll. For entrees the scallops are perfect!
(4)Michael X.

(4)Matthew I.
(4)Liz S.
(1)Chris J.
Great dinner. Edamame was a great deal for a starter. Both of our fish dishes were fantastic, especially if they come with crab risotto. When in doubt, go with fish of the day and sangria of the day for a cocktail.
(5)Susan L.
(3)Matt K.
(4)Nick A.

I've been here several times. The food and service are great.

(2)Jennifer M.

I went there for sushi and it was average. I do however really like their entrées and they have good drinks, especially their Azie Blue. The roof deck is awesome and the service is really good.

I love eating sushi at this place!

(2)Sean R.
Had the rock shrimp which was really good! There were 5 of us, we all had an app and entree. Unfortunately we all left hungry. The food is good, service is fine but it is overpriced and the portions are way too small.
(3)Brendan M.
(4)Jason P.
(4)Tracy W.
(4)Ziggy P.
This visit was just meh for all of us. Service was great, but the food was disappointing. We all agreed that the appetizer portions were smaller and the sushi were really skinny this time, while price remains high.
(2)Chris O.
