The omelets are a little too dry! Otherwise everything on the menu is great! Service from Ashley is always on point!

Update: WELL THIS EXPLAINS A LOT! ...... Silver Spring Diner in Cumberland County closes | PennLive.com pennlive.com/food/index.… I did not eat here. I visited about 3 weeks ago. The employees where very kind. Sadly, good manners can't save the unappealing interior and funky smell that hits you when you walk in. The menu was drab, even for a diner. The prices where about $1.00 to $2.00 more than any other diner I have visited in the area. We ordered our drinks but ended up leaving. The only safe lunch item I saw was the silver springs burger... with drinks and a side it would have cost more than at red robin.

The 16 oz. T bone steak special can't be beat . $11.95 steak. Soup. Salad. Go to hoss and price that .. a 8oz flat iron steak and you are talking $35-40 what a rip off that price is per 2 people . The flat irons are $16.95 a piece ..still a Rip off ..... Come on Hoss this place has Got you beat by a county mile and for 1/2 the $$.=and they don't charge for the onion rings that come with the steak either .... F.Y I. They cut and trim all steaks . Food is excellent ..highly recommended!!!

Being from NY, where we have diners everywhere, this place was pretty standard. It is pretty large on the inside and they easily accommodated a table f 8 (NOT so easy in NY). But I will tell you one thing the diners in NY do not have: SCRAPPLE YUM! This is a PA thing, and the first time i had. Man was it tasty!

The porckchops tasted good, and I liked the fries. The chocolate ice cream was yummy. The waitess with the glasses was helpful, polite, and did a good job at being a waitress. If you have kids who like to win stuffed animals they have a claw machine. If you are an adult wanting that cute stuffed animal bear etc, then try your luck at the claw machine. This diner is bigger compared to other diners that I have been to.

Typcial diner food and decor. We ordered, meatloaf, salad, and a crab melt. Food was fine...it was the service that was horrendous. Our server was training so we tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, but there is just no need to be screaming across the dining room when you have questions. For example: husband asks "does stuffing come with the meatloaf meal?" She turns around and screams at her trainer that is 3/4 of the way across the restaurant "DOES STUFFING COME WITH THE MEATLOAF, THIS GUY WANTS TO KNOW?" She lacked common sense.

This 24 hour place, a rarity in Central PA offers a decent breakfast at a reasonable price. Although the home fries were a little burnt, the eggs Benedict were pretty good, definitely not lacking on ham, with big ol' slabs of that Canadian goodness beneath a tasty sauce. Solid pancakes round it out, This diner is downright massive and has games in the middle, kinda odd but still cool.

First time eating at this diner. Olive Garden was full Sunday at lunchtime and we decided to eat at the diner. Had great food and plenty of it. Waitress was very nice. Owner happens to stop by to eat on Sundays, so the atmosphere was very positive. I hope to return again with the same quality and atmosphere in the future. Had no complains about anything concerning this eating establishment.

As far as diners go, we love this place!

This place was okay. Came here in the AM for breakfast when I was in Mechanicsburg with some friends. From what I remember the service was good and the menu was standard diner breakfast food. What I do remember was a friend of mine getting the scrapple. I believe that is how you spell it. Anyhow we always see it on tv and it looks exactly as i pictured it. I didn't try it, but everyone said it tasted just like sausage.

Normally have ok service and food here, no matter the time and I haven't been here for awhile and I came back to terrible service, cold and terrible food, and no refills. The potatoes looked like they were made this morning and I ordered the "house favorite" chicken. It looked alright and tasted even worse. I had everyone at my table try everything to make sure it wasn't just me. Everyone agreed. The waitress looked pissed anytime she came over.

I've never had a bad meal here, but it is expensive. Some of the servers are a little slow and if you go after supper time, they can be downright rude. Not to mention this is a place where the teens go that are underage. They can be really loud and obnoxious as well and try to pick fights other diners in the establishment. Not my favorite place to go for quality diner food.

Well I did not eat at this diner BUT being from out of state and lost, recently stopped in for some directions on how to find a store that I couldn't find. The young lady, hostess, was so pleasant and could not have been more helpful. She helped me out when my time was limited. I found the store with her directions. The next time I am in that area, I will certainly stop and have a meal to repay the kindness. If she is any example of the young people who work there, it has to be nice.

Our waitress was complaining, "They normally have three girls working this section, but I'm the only one working it tonight." It was a lousy excuse, she was just slow and inattentive. The food is decent, but expensive. I think I paid 2 bucks more than I should have for my steak sandwich. Even though it's close to my house, I won't eat there again any time soon. Better to go on down the Pike and eat at the Middlesex diner.
