Defiantly a place for wings!! Rotisserie wings are excellent, along with all the other flavors!

At the time of this review prices were 4.50 for six wings or ~8.75 for 12. This is very reasonable for today's economy. Apparenlty this place has a ton of local locals, and gets regular business from them. It's tiny and very busy on a Friday afternoon/evening from 4pm on through 7pm. we had to wait a while for a table, drinks and food. Wings are wings. They were good. Could the place have been quieter? Sure. Could it have been less busy? Sure. Could the prices have been much better? Not really, they're pretty low. Don't go to Moes to broker power-deals or impress a date. Go to Moes to eat cheaply and for decent quality.

Great wings? Huh? I have no idea what all the fuss is about. No frills bar with ok wings. Tried hot and parmesan garlic. The Parmesan made the wings dry. The hot wings were average. I also expect more than two drummettes in a dozen wings. Minimal craft brews on tap. Fresh cut fries good when hot but quickly became cold and limp. And since when do you charge extra for blue cheese with wings? Dark bar with too loud music.

Food is decent and inexpensive. Atmosphere is nothing to write home about. Staff is unintentionally amusing -

I didn't expect to like it here but went here for lunch during a work day and was pleasantly surprised by the Tuna Melt, friendly staff, and reasonable prices.

This is a local favorite for so many! There are reasons it's always busy. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the servers are nice. Sure, it's somewhere between a dive and a diner...but it's familiar and friendly.

This place is awesome. Moe's is a local's bar and you don't have to be a local to feel welcomed. We found it on yelp and decided to stop in. Met some awesome people who were very friendly. Wings were good. Beer was cold. Will definitely go back when we are in the area again.

Five stars just because of their buffalo wings. The best I've ever had. And their blue cheese dressing on the side is great. Reasonable price for the size of the wings that you get, they're good sized. This is my favorite bar-type-place to go with my husband for just hanging out, eating wings, and drinking. Love it! It's our place when we're in the mood for a redneck date. I can't tell you anything else about what's on the menu because in my mind it doesn't matter - it will always be about the wings. The only drawback is that it's a bar. A real bar . . . not one of those meat markets. You will walk out of there smelling like a bar which (unfortunately) includes quite a bit of smoke. I like to go there during lunch when there are less people (and less smoke) and you can watch people drinking at lunch time. There's nothing fancy about this place - in fact even just a little bit of fancy would ruin it.

Moe's has the best wings in the area I believe and Monday night is wing night! Great wing prices on Monday nights and the service does leave a little to be desired but if you know that going in its not that bad. I will say that the past few times I have been in there on Monday nights that the service was getting better. A must try if you love wings.

I'll throw in 4 stars because they do have great wings and good prices. Good service as well, but not much to the place really, definitely a local tavern with serious regulars.

  • Tom S.

Its your typical bar. Drinks are pricey for the area, you can go to Scotts Grille on Second Street and get much better deals. In fact most resturants and bars downtown Harrisburg, Pa have much better deals and quality food. This place lacks service, quality, and good prices. One good things is that they have good wings.

  • Jeremy H.

The wings are great and the Wednesday night Karaoke is pretty good. The only downside is that they can't make up their mind when they want to be a dive-bar and when they want to be a family restaurant. I've been asked to leave for using "vulgar language" while with friends due to it being a "family restaurant" but also been asked to leave because a member of the group I was with (our DD) was under the age of 21... WTF??? Identity Crisis?

  • Dan C.

Get the wings and a beer. You cannot go wrong. Word to the wise: all wing orders are made fresh. YOU WILL WAIT, but they're worth it. Also, depending on who is in the kitchen, the flavor of the wings will vary. Regardless, they have the meatiest wings in the area.

I came to Mechanicsburg for business and I found this place just around the corner from my hotel. Chicken wings are really good and beer is ice cold. As I was alone I was seating at the bar and it was just great to see how much fun everyone was having at work, great service, great food and incredible prices. I will probably go back there tonight :)

This place is terrible! The first time my wife and I went to this place a few weeks ago the service was slow and the food was just ok along with the stale beer they were serving. Tonight we went again because my wife's softball team wanted to go after work. We waited an hour and a half after our food was ordered to leave because they said our food was never even started. The waitress told us a half hour before that, that our food was almost ready. When the manager came out he gave us an excuse that the kitchen got slammed all at once with orders. What a load of nonsense that is! We will NEVER set foot in that dump ever again.

I am a self proclaimed "wing nut" and I can proudly say that Moe's has some of the best wings, if not, THE BEST wings in the area!! If you haven't eaten wings at Moe's yet, you are missing out! And come hungry - they are quite a nice size. Also, why would anyone complain about the atmosphere? You can tell from the outside - what you see is what you get. If you're looking for a more "classy" restaurant, then Moe's is not the place for you. I enjoy the cozy, relaxed, no frills sort of atmosphere. People are there to eat wings, drink beer, smoke, and socialize. I have yet to eat out on the deck but I have to say the deck looks great and would be more inviting on a cooler evening. The service here is also great. Dan always treats us well, even when he is busy.

OK, went here today with a friend. Didn't even know this place existed, but read the reviews. Asked my friend who works close by and he said "oh yeah" and called it "Lame Moes". I told him him I read reviews that said the wings were some of the best in the area. He said lets give it a try. So we went at lunch. I stayed away from the menu and ordered just wings. I did this because many reviews said the wings were the only good thing on the menu. My neighbor ordered a steak wrap and a salad with chicken corn soup. I ordered a dozen hot garlic wings, well done, all drums. His food looked great! He said the soup was great as well as the wrap. Salad was not anything to write home about. Got my wings and they were well done like I ordered. I did not get all drums like I asked for, but not a deal breaker. Now I don't claim to be an authority on wings, but I have eaten enough that when a chicken spots me, he runs the other way fast! I have to say, what in the hell are all you people raving about????? They were OK, but I wont be drafting any letters to home telling my mom about the wings. The service was OK as was the bar area where we sat. NOT the best place in the area for wings! You people need to get out more.

I should have ordered the wings. I might go back to try them, but really, charging for celery and blue cheese? I can see charging for extra, but not for a staple that is *supposed* to come with wings. The Long Island ice tea was good. That's the only positive thing I can say. The jumbo fried clams were not close to being good. The breading was undercooked, making the dish a soggy disappointment. And why oh why can't restaurants understand crispy fries?!?! I suspect both items were mass-produced frozen foods cooked at too low of a temperature. I should have ordered the wings.

Definitely not kid-friendly. Children can't sit in the bar area and more than half the place is considered the bar. So there were plenty of open seats that no reasonable person would consider being by the bar but we couldn't even get seated. I heard the wings were great, but didn't really find out.

Decided to go here since it was only like a 5-10 minute walk from the Comfort Inn I was staying at. My newest co-worker and friend wanted to drink a bit as everybody else was being a party pooper. Arrived around 12:30 or so last night. Alright place. First time I saw lottery ticket and some other instant game machines in that type of establishment. TV's. Jukebox for music. We decided to get Yuengling drafts since they were only $2. The bartender, a heavier female, was attentive the entire time and made sure we always had drinks. There was also a $1 jello shot advertised on the wall, but, we didn't notice until later in our visit. Didn't get any food, but, saw specials advertised on an electronic board. Despite this, there are downsides. The local crowd was kinda lame, despite meeting some half-decent peeps. I'm not one to be moochy, but, where were the gentleman buying a round and why did it take forever for anybody to be social? Maybe they just do things bit different in Central PA than us Philadelphians. Then, there is this crazy 1:15 last call despite the doors closing at 2. We could sit there or get a 6-pack to go, but, no more from the bar itself. I was a bit perplexed by this. Why even stay open? That kinda seems like a profit-killer. Oh well...got a 6 pack of Bud Ice cans (No judging! XD) for $12. Not sure if I'll ever be back in this area soon, but, Moe's did its job. Wouldn't be a main choice if given more variety.

This was the only place close to my hotel. I only had a few drinks there. I did not eat there. It's a shot and a beer joint; you park out back. Nice deck; stopped in on a weds night. Great karaoke dj; my great complaint was the restroom. Smelled like someone slaughtered a cow in there and left the innards to rot thru the floorboards. I'm no pansy but wow it smelled something awful. But where my hotel was, this was it. It was okay. Not much more. Not sure how it had 4 stars.

A nice sports bar. One of the few places in Pennsylvania that you can get beer to go other than in a large store. A fine selection of local microbrews and wonderful chicken wings. Nice folks too!
