Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Working just up the street, I have been a patron of Mannino's Italian Garden since the day they opened their doors a few years back. I have bought lunch there many times, had dinner with family and friends, and talked their business up whenever I had the chance because I've always had quality friendly service and great tasting food. However, my most recent experience at Mannino's was absolutely horrible and will be my last. My husband and I placed an order for delivery that was only supposed to take 30 minutes. After waiting for over an hour, I called Mannino's to find out if there was a problem with our order. The girl who answered the phone told me that it was in route and should arrive shortly. After another 20 minutes of waiting (more like 25 because the phone kept ringing busy), I called again. I told the gentleman who answered the phone what happened and to keep the food and please refund my card. With no explanation as to why we didn't have our food or even an apology, he just said "okay". I told him we'd never do business with him again after this and he responded "Thanks, I appreciate that." and hung up on me. Irritated with how this was being handled, we stopped by the restaurant to speak with a manage/owner/someone. A waitress explained that the delivery driver's car broke down and that's why we didn't have out food, and proceeded to get the owner for us. I started to explain to the owner what happened, but he cut me off to tell me that he already knew as he was the person I spoke with the second time I called and that he didn't know what I expected him to do. When I told him an apology would have been nice or even just explaining to me on the phone why we didn't have our order, he began rambling on about how he had a full floor to take care of and didn't have time to deal with me. I told him this is now how you treat paying customers and reiterated that we would not be back. He couldn't have possibly cared less, because all he had to say was, and I quote, "you already said you wouldn't be back and I told you that was okay. I don't need your business." I'm absolutely appalled by the owner's lack of professionalism. But that's okay, if he doesn't need my business, I won't give it to him. And I recommend that you don't either.

Fabulous experience. Dean greeted us with a description of how the specials would be cooked. Three of us ordered the chicken sorrentino and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh eggplant and mushrooms. Great salad with balsamic and marinated peppers. Best meal we've ever had in Meadville after about 10 visits. We'll be back.

The best way to describe it, is terrible! Their sauce is so bland & awful, that it reminded me of Hunt's tomato paste. Just gross. The noodles in their lasagna fell apart, practically dissolving in your mouth. I've had better lasagna out of a frozen dinner. Rumor has it that their pizza sales, are the thing that keeps this place open. A bad lunch is my punishment for ignoring Yelp!
