1st time here. Kidless so we got a booth at the bar. Thank goodness we didn't have our daughter.. Lots of foul language from some intoxicated people at the bar that the bartender was oblivious to. Would come here again but sit in the dining room.

I always recommend Luciano's to my friends simply because I love the food here. Their dough is amazing. The pizza is first class, and above all others in the area. The gyro pizza can literally change your life. What a revolutionary pizza I must say. That's where the good stops though. Yes they have great food, but there's more to a restaurant than just that. Their service is terrible. Impressively bad service in fact. I've been in restaurants and said the service wasn't good. But very very very rarely do I ever feel that the service is going out of their way to do a terrible job. Hope the management can do something about their services problem. It's been going on for years, and is seems a lot of reviews agree that it's a problem. However give your kitchen crew a gold star, they deserve it!

it was a dark and stormy evening when I decided to try "Pittsburg's Best Pizza". It was, in fact shortly after a tornado touched down in Cranberry. I find that near death experiences make me hungry. I ordered pickup. When I arrived I found : Lots of people dining in and taking out, friendly staff, and solidly mediocre pizza.

I've only eaten in the restaurant once a long time ago so I cannot comment on the service. However, we get carry out quite often. The food is good, not outstanding. They are a bit pricier than other locally owned Italian places in the area. I am disappointed they never offer coupons in the local ads and flyers.

Second visit; good food. Poor service at the bar; the bartender needs to stop yaking at his friends and attend to customers. Not often that I have track someone down to get a drink, ask to clear the dishes and put in the "to go" order that he forgot.

Service is poor- what a shame as the food is decent. Our waitress was completely miserable and never stopped at our table. She got our order wrong and acted like it was our fault. No drink refills- I think we had 4 people wait on us at different times. When they did get the order right the calzone was cold. They still charged us for it and even up charged for it. What a disappointment!

Good beer and wine selection excellent pizza. Loved the Diablo pizza which is just the right spice for me. Had a terrific winter beer from the tap. Cant wait to come back!

When this place first opened I really liked it. It's still ok but nothing special. The last time I was there I had to ask for bread to go with my dinner. What kind of Italian place doesn't serve bread with a meal? They used to when the first opened. It's decent and not bad in price. Pretty building.

Very very good! Not authentic Italian but perfect for traditionalists looking for a good calzone and some meatballs. Sauce is just a smidge bland but I like my sauces salty soooo...great service and with lots of smiles. Great price too!

Love the gluten free pizza and other gluten free entrees. Good selection of beer and wine. Never had a bad meal here.

Loved the pasta Luciano, a mix of marinara and Alfredo sauces. The bread was sift and delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. Lots of great Italian vegetarian options, and some vegan ones too.

Horrible Pizza... sauce has no taste... dough is not crisp.... soggy and wet.... poor quality cheese.

We ordered the stuffed hot banana peppers first. Excellent! Peppers were spicy & sauce was sweeter. Pizza was excellent. Husband had a side of pasta & meatballs which also was great. Will definitely go back to try more yum!

We have always enjoyed Luciano's from the time we were kids. Their original location near Ross Park was a treat after a day of shopping. And to start off positively, all of their pizzas are very good, and the stuffed hot peppers were also great. Tonight, a small group of us went to celebrate a birthday. It is a couple days before Christmas... This type of restaurant should expect to be a little busier than normal. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if it was the fault of the restaurant or just our service, but it was not a pleasant experience. I have to say for being a party of seven, we were ready to order relatively quickly. She quickly brought our drinks and bread. About 25 minutes later, we finally got our soup. No refills. No apologies. No personality, really. She finally brought out the appetizers. I asked another server for refills, and she said she would let our server know. About ten minutes later, she came out with the dinners and then got refills. When she brought out the dinners, we told her the one guy didn't get his salad. Her response... "Oh, do you want it now? Or I can make it to go?" What happened to owning up to your mistakes and apologizing? On top of that, his microwaved mashed potatoes (he saw them place them in the microwave) came out cold in the middle. So bottom line is if you want to actually enjoy your dinner, try a different place.

We loved this place. After Springfield Grille didn't honor our reservation of 12, we called Luciano's. They were more than happy to accommodate us. The food was wonderful. I had the fried shrimp and they were huge and delcious. Great family place!

I am from New York and love thin crust pizza. Luciano's has some of the best pizza I have had in Pittsburgh. It is right up there with Mama Lucia's and Mineo's. The crust is not quite as thin as Mama Lucia's but it is nice and soft on the inside and crisp on the outside.

Another long awaited addition to the restaurant landscape in the Cranberry area, the initial wave of excitement and crowds have long since dissipated now to a more normal stream of traffic as people have adjusted to have it in play as an option. While they serve real meals in the restaurant section, I find myself wanting primarily to do takeout. We have eaten in the restaurant and ordered non-pizza items in the past. Although I'd characterize it as fairly good, the prices were relatively high. I don't have to pay those kinds of prices for ravioli or past or chicken parmesan. Especially when they're not memorable at all. So it's an easy decision to NOT eat here. I've noticed that there are fewer and fewer cars in the parking lot at dinner time these days too - perhaps other people are making similar decisions. Nonetheless, the bar is pretty nice and if you go at happy hour, it can be a good place to grab a beer and some food. The pizza is really pretty good, but the highlight for me are the junior calzones and strombolis. Perfect size, perfect price, and VERY tasty. Get a junior hot sausage calzone for takeout. You'll get change from your $5 bill and thank me for turning you on to this bargain!

Finally a great place to eat while on a business trip! Yum!!! Ordered a calzone, half is PLENTY!!!! It is so delicious! Beautiful place, clean, amazing staff! Best place we have been to all week! Even ordered wine! Half price during the week until 7pm! Fantastic! Would go again! Check this place out!

It was just OK! I had the veal parm and a side of pasta, did not eat the pasta as it was kind of clumpy on the plate. The veal was a large portion, I wonder if salt is the only thing in the spice rack. My husband had pasta carbonara which would have been average had it not sat in the kitchen and formed a film on top. after stirring it was good. All in all we won't be back, I never thought I would say Olive Garden is better, but frankly it is and cheaper. On the plus side, waitress was good and place was clean.

I have been here several times over the past 6 months and have gotten various pizza, subs and pastas. We have been consistently impressed. Device can be a tad slow at peak times but there are typically several wait staff assigned to each table to assistance is nearby. The turkey club sub is our favorite and we like the traditional pizza as well.

We had been wanting to try Luciano's for a few months. We had our first visit just last week. The restaurant is brand new and fairly large. The bar area was fairly packed on a week day night. We settled for a booth in the dining room. They do have patio seating, and from what we could see, it looked very nice out there. Our server was fairly attentive and the menu is fairly large. I decided on a small Hawaiian pizza. It was surprisingly big. Enough for two meals. The crust was nice and crisp and who doesn't love a little pineapple on their pizza. BJ got the a seafood pasta dish that was very tasty. The bread basket was full of very nice soft Italian bread. Needless to say, we were too full to try dessert. We will definitely be back for a return visit and to try out that patio.

Went there for lunch The food was very good, it's on the high end price wise, but it's worth it. The service was very good Everyone loved their meals, which consisted of 2 pizza's and a Chicken Parm Sub. Best Chicken Parm sub I've had to date while living in Pittsburgh.

This is a great place for families especially. I've come here often with my 3 teenage girls and my 6-year old son. Service has been good to great! I especially love that they have gluten-free pizza options! My daughter and I usually split a medium gluten-free white pizza, the other two split a medium pepperoni, and my son has the chicken nuggets. I think the bill before tax is under $30 which is a steal for a sit-down restaurant for a family of 5!

The restaurants bar and dining room is very nice and clean. The brick oven pizza is one of the best I've ever had, with the exception of there wasn't enough of the topping that we ordered. I just ordered double toppings next time, and it was fabulous. This can get a little expensive if you're adding 3 or 4 double toppings though. We have tried several other entrees from there menu and overall everything was above average. The mixed drinks are only about 5 ounces and cost around $6.50 each. If you plan on getting a buzz here, bring your checkbook. They are competitively priced with The Springfield Inn that is across the street, but Applebee's and Smokey Bones is only about 4 miles down the road, and quite a bit cheaper.

Bunch of friends met at Luciano's for dinner since it was a central location for all of us even though I haven't heard many great things. The portions were very large but very expensive and unfortunately not very impressive. I tried the shrimp scampi, too much butter. The pizza was okay nothing I would rush back to try again. The service was okay, a little slow and probably the most disappointing thing was the noise, seemed like a high school cafeteria very loud. Not impressed, better options in Adams Ridge or Cranberry for Italian

We just stumbled across Luciano's today. We didn't realize they had other locations in Western PA until I came on the web this afternoon. We got a small pizza to share as well as the Pasta Luciano. The food is pretty tasty! The bread they serve is super soft, and the desserts are good as well. We tried the tiramisu and the chocolate mousse torte. I'd say the torte is really just a cake...not a torte. I wasn't a fan of the pizza crust, but I'd go back to try the pan pizza; those looked a lot better. Our server was not so great. Service needs a big improvement here. 90 minutes for lunch and a dessert is way too long. Plus, the tables vacated near us took the staff about an hour before they cleaned them up. To me, that's unacceptable. If they can get the staff in line, we will be frequent customers. Lunch, dessert, and drinks for two cost ~$30. You can't beat that, especially since we have leftovers to eat later on!

Great pizza. The veggie pizza with hot pepper rings is delicious. Delivery and customer service is top notch for a pizza joint.

This place was decent enough, but a bit disappointed with my entree. The waiter hyped up the special - crab meat filled trout and it was really nothing special at all. Trout is probably my favorite fish and he had me all pumped for the special, and because it did no meet the exceptions, the whole dinner was a bit of a turn off. Service was ok, nothing spectacular.

Went for lunch today. Was my first time there. Was very pleased with the food and service. The decor was pleasing and they have an outdoor dining balcony. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely the best pizza around. We order pizza from here at least once a week. They know us by name, LOL.

We thought this place was nice with good food. The ambiance leans towards a place like bravo but not as fancy. Clean and simple menu. I had pasta diablo. My wife had a white pizza and my father had a meatball hoagie. All the main courses were good. The means were about $13-26 and mine came with a salad. I was not a fan of the salad as it tasted and resembled like the bags of pre-mixed salads at the supermarkets. Other than that, the service was good, fast, and nice. We will probably go back.

Luciano's is another average restaurant. I've been there a few times and have had terrible food (white pizza), good food (chicken picatta, alfredo, carbonara) and great food (bruschetta). I've also had to wait up to 10 minutes before someone came over to greet us at the table. Another time the salads and appetizer were brought out at once, and then we sat there for 30 min waiting for our meals. So while the service needs improvement, it's the reasonable prices, decent food and convenient location that brings me back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
