Every time I drive by I throw up in my mouth a little bit.

They sell hot dogs....good hot dogs.....nothing fancy....but good hot dogs.

The chili dogs are okay but nothing special -- slightly bland but okay. They were also inexpensive, so this is on my list of places to eat a quick lunch or dinner. My only complaint is that the milk shake (one of those shot from the Soft-Serve machine) came with a straw that wasn't a whole lot larger than a coffee stirrer. Not really good for drinking thick stuff. This place seemed to be the equivalent of the Der Wienerschnitzel chain out west.

I don't know what I can say bad about this place. I love the food, service, and prices. I always go for a 2 dogs with everything (onions and chili) and a regular fry. Make sure to add vinegar and ketchup to the fries and they are fantastic. The service is always so nice, the managers and staff know what they are doing, bring it to you fast, and never bother you. I will always love it as my hometown shoppe, and will continue going back.

Why does something so good have to be so far away. My husband and I have a debate any time the word "hot dog" comes up... Which is better Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe or Yaccos (Northeast PA local) Definitely Hot Dog Shoppe!! OMG when we travel to the area our trip is never complete until we go to the shoppe! My favorite is chili cheese dogs and a kid fry with cheese! My husband goes all out and does the works on his dogs - chili, cheese, mustard, onion, kraut!!! Their wedding soup is pretty good too! YUM YUM YUM!!!

It was mediocre at best. Very small portions for the price.

Reminds me of home. Grew up eating these dogs so all others are compared to these! Love the chili cheese fries too, but would have to exercise a week to make up for it. Good plain american breakfast too.

I came from a land where hot dog shops and stands were plentiful. You were never more then 10 minutes from an amazing hot dog experience. Then I moved to Pittsburgh and was disappointed that hot dogs were not easy to come by. I was in Cranberry for an appointment and decided to finally give Brighton a try. I had heard good things but wasn't sure it could even come close to my beloved Ted's or Louie's from Buffalo, NY. The menu is simple. Hot dogs (with a variety of options), french fries (with a variety of options), pasta chili (noodles with chili) and beverages (pops and milk shakes). I tried the Pasta Chili and a chili cheese dog. My husband had a chili cheese dog and a large order of cheese fried. The hot dogs were tasty and they had a nice amount of both cheese and chili on them. The french fries were small, thin cut fries. They almost tasted like they had some sort of seasoning on them. The cheese topping was sort of sweet. It was interesting, but I will likely get just plain fries next time I go. Overall, while they weren't my beloved Ted's or Louie's, the dogs were decent and we left satisfied without breaking the bank. An enjoyable meal and I'm sure we'll be back.

A single visit and checkin. Though I would see what they were like. Sitting options at bar or booth; friendly service. Basis Hot Dog Shoppe fare. I've rated this OK but I am not a fan of hot dogs in general. Doubt I will be back but this is a personal taste item and not on the establishment. f8 and be there.

I had a chili dog there and the flavor was so-so. I've had better. I thought I was being prepped for a colonoscopy! OMG! It did a number on my digestive system! I will never go back!

Great hot dogs but they aren't set up to allow you to tip with a credit card. Feel bad leaving without tipping waitress. They need to fix that for people who don't carry cash....

You can't find a better hot dog experience for the price. This reminds me of a much less cool but equally authentic old school hot dog shop at an extremely affordable price.

Love this place, been here since I was 10 years old! Only shame is they don't have lettuce for cheeseburgers...

This is the best of home town comfort food! My family and I come here quite often. We of course get the hot dogs, usually with Sauerkraut, but there are more options. We love them. Whether we sit at the bar or at a booth the service has always been friendly and fast. I have not met a waitress at the Brighton Hot Dog Shop who was not friendly and helpful. The cheese fries. Where does one begin? They're great. We always get at least one bowl of the cheese fries and if there is four of us we also order regular fries. Out of the family there is one son who bucks the norm and orders the hamburger. He has never been less than delighted with his food. Our special treat while at the Brighton Hot Dog shop is the milk shake. Wow, they are simply the best milk shake out there. Any time that you are looking for a nice family hot dog and fries you will enjoy the Brighton Hot Dog Shop
