The food was good, not great, and did not warrant the $20-40+/entree price. I got 2 yummy crab cakes served with an average rice pilaf and hard broccolini for $30. My husband's goat cheese ravioli was delicious and felt like a bargain at $18 as the least expensive entree on the menu until we saw the portion size of 8 raviolis. It also felt odd trying to have a nice meal while kids at the next table watched movies on their tablets and a guy wearing jean shorts and a muscle shirt where I could see his armpit hair. I don't think you can be "casual" and "fine" dining at the same time.

My wife and I gave Andora a try this evening - we would consider ourselves foodies - Here are our thoughts. PROS) large portions, quality food, great outdoor atmosphere. CONS) Unknowledgeable wait staff. First off, the waiter never mentioned the happy hour. My wife asked what the house wine was and he flat out had no clue. Then we proceeded to ask what the most popular appetizer was and he totally froze. Not such a comforting feeling. This place has potential upon obtaining a polished wait staff.

After frequenting the sewickley location of Andora, I was excited to hear about them opening in Mars. I understand that they have not been open for long, but the management team at this location is in need of some serious training! We went on a Friday evening with a reservation for the outside patio. The service was a little slow, but acceptable. We were there for happy hour and were ordering drinks and plenty of appetizers, when the manager came over to our table and told us that they had another reservation for our table in 25 minutes. Seriously, as we were eating and drinking, they are telling us we have to leave? I might understand if they were that busy, but there were plenty of empty tables around us and there were many better ways the situation could've and should've been handled. Move us to another table if necessary, but we were paying customers! We will not be going back!

Still without a fridge, we decided to stay local and hit up a local restaurant for lunch. Andorra is in the old "Stone Peppers" location off 228. The inside is large and spacious with a great big open bar. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating, maybe 20 tables. Some tables are located in the shade (under a pergola looking structure) and some are in the sun with some umbrellas. Our server today was really friendly and really efficient. She new the specials from memory and was very attentive without being overbearing. That is a huge plus. Good not ask for better service. The food was fine. Nothing spectacular but nothing bad either. I had the Ahi Tuna salad and my blonde partner in crime had the chicken salad (yea, we are SO healthy). The Ahi Tuna was cooked nicely and my wife enjoyed her chicken salad. The prices seemed a little high for lunch to me. Overall a decent spot. Good service and decent food. Not sure I would seek out this place in the future, but would not be opposed to going again.

This has become our favorite outdoor place to go after church. The patio is so relaxing with the fountain and trees. The atmosphere feels like you're on vacation. The food is consistently good. Today was no exception. When they offer bread, always say yes! It is a wonderful crusty variety that comes alive in the dipping oil. The chicken croissant is my go to when I can't decide. It is delightful, the fries crisp and flavorful. The vegetable soup was hearty with tender chunks of beef. I've enjoyed the crab cakes on previous visits. They are packed with crab meat, yum! The cheesecake is fantastic! And, the service is always great. Courtney took great care of us today and I just want to give her a thumbs up!

Awesome food- not skimpy on portions, and the best part HANDS DOWN was the service. We had Caitlyn (spelling?), and she was amazing- personable, knowledgable about the menu, and accommodating to my party. Friendly staff, great food- we will be back! A+

While somewhat unassuming from the outside, Andora's is worth a trip. There is a large bar area plus a couple of dining rooms. The menu offers a number entrees with unique combos, such as chicken covered in cheese. Or pasta with goat cheese & chicken. The house salad was great. Finally, our server, Amanda was first rate.

The only thing I ate was my mashed potatoes, because I was starving and had to. I expected this place to be pretty good even after I read all the bad reviews....but it was terrible. Our waiter was very awkward and not professional whatsoever. We were going to order the zucchini and he told us not to because it wasn't good. I ordered the pork tenderloin which looked like nothing I have ever seen before. I order pork a lot, and this was just plain weird looking. I took one little rubbery bite and was so grossed out I didn't even want to look at it. My one girlfriend ordered the filet which was way over cooked, actually burnt, and not good. My other girlfriend ordered the veal medallions which came out 15 minutes late because he said the cook over cooked them and acted like he did us a favor. She described her veal as "not terrible". So, all and all, it was an awful experience for a lot of money.

I came here after my parents told me how AMAZING this restaurant was, and it was a pretty big letdown - maybe my expectations were just too high. It's really a shame because the waitstaff was super friendly and attentive. I went with a friend for dinner and ordered two apps to start: the crispy calamari & zucchini ribbons rolled with three cheeses. The food was lukewarm and super oily. The zucchini ribbons actually made me nauseous. The accompanying sweet pepper cream sauce was just TOO much. I was disappointed because that app is apparently one of their most popular dishes. Anywho, I was unhappy with the meal thus far but I had high hopes for my entree because my mom RAVED about the seared scallops. Although my scallops were cooked well, the soy sesame glaze was unnaturally sweet and the texture was really unappetizing. The seven pepper risotto was mediocre at best. I definitely will not be coming back here because there are much better restaurants in the area.

Bland for the price. White cod served on white potatoes on a white plate. Medium rare salmon cooked through. Nondescript. Will not be back.
Awesome lunch! Flatbread, shrimp bisque and my all-time favorite BREAD PUDDING. Sit in the bar area and ask for Miles....great bartender : )

Horrible atmosphere in terms of the dining area *whoever contracted that designer/architecture didn't know the basics of restaurant seating and space. The waiter even admitted to watering down our drinks due to our larger party (10+ people), but then the Manager at least compensated us with free appetizers and deserts. Horrible place to spend your money.

The new Andora location in Adams is a much better addition than the Stone Peppers it replaced. We've dined at Andora's Mt. Nebo location previously. This is another occasion where I wish I could give a 3.5 star rating. We dined here with our neighbors and had a very pleasant dining experience. Service was really good & attentive. We ordered a 2nd appetizer because our waiter informed us it was happy hour & all the appetizers were $5, even though we eating in the dining room not the bar. We started with the zucchini & calamari. Both were ok, not stellar. The zucchini was rolled up with cheese in the center served with a somewhat bland sauce and the calamari was prepared pretty well but then served with a super sweet sauce that didn't quite work. I ordered the beet salad and forgot to ask for dressing on the side so I take partial responsibility here. The salad was served drowned in balsamic dressing. After picking at the top of the salad, the rest was completely swimming. It was a shame because it had the potential to be an excellent salad. My entree was scallops with risotto and asparagus which was done very well and quite delicious with an Asian sauce. My husband ordered the cod, my neighbors got the crab cakes & the Hawaiian fish off the specials menu and all said they enjoyed their dinners. Entrees range from low $20's to $30's with salads al a carte. Overall I liked the restaurant and will return.

I've eaten at the Sewickley location a few times over the years and liked it ok so I was excited to hear that Andora was taking over the space occupied previously by Stone Peppers Grill (which I did NOT like). We went a few weeks after they opened hoping that all the bugs associated with the start up would be worked out and, for the most part, I believe they were. Although, our waiter (who the 2 ladies at my table thought was cute) had to go check on a few things when questioned. And he didn't really tell us the correct info about the happy hour (appetizers are NOT included if you're in the restaurant despite what he said) but other than that he was attentive and very good. The calamari appetizer was above average and quite tasty. The rolled zucchini ribbons stuffed with three cheeses was ok but not something I'd order again as a matter of personal preference. The prior reviewer's comments about pricing are slightly exaggerated but this is on the higher end price wise. I don't mind paying if the food is really good. I ordered the horseradish encrusted alaskan cod which was cooked properly even though I saw no evidence of horseradish encrustation. That was less than $20. My wife had the seared scallops which were also cooked correctly and tasty. She loved them, I was just ok with them. They were $25. The crab cakes looked amazing and our dining companion wasted no time putting those away - they are $29. So its not an inexpensive place to eat but it's not outrageous. I was disappointed in the draft beer selection and had to compromise again. With that many taps, I'd like to see some craft beer available. It's ok, not great. The impression I'm left with is that the atmosphere there doesn't lend itself to spending that kind of money for dinner.

I'm loving that they finally have a location closer to our home. The decor is very nice, super high ceilings give the places a very open feeling even though it is separated into several smaller rooms. The bar is covered in wood and feels very warm and cozy. The food was fantastic, as I would expect it to be. As always, I adore their crab cakes. They are just the best crab cakes I think I've ever had. It's to the point where I won't even order them elsewhere (and I was very disappointed in them in Seattle and even Baltimore!). I also love their risotto so if you aren't a big fan of rice pilaf (it's pretty bland here) request the risotto instead. A welcome change to the meal. They had a nice selection of wines as well. The biggest downfall of the evening was just the service. Our server would disappear for pretty lengthy amounts of time. I think she was really frazzled with a large party in another room but she was still friendly and it didn't upset our meal at all. All in all a good experience and we will definitely return.

Had a crabcake salad that came out on a small cracker/appetizer plate. I paid over 15.00 for ONE small crabcake on some lettuce. Nothing special or spectacular and actually rather bland. Needles to say I left here hungry. Totally overpriced (I guess they want you to pay for the atmosphere?) and had very slow service even though we came for lunch and the restaurant was not busy at all. There are plenty of better places in the Seven Fields area to go out for a nice lunch. Take your money elsewhere!

Talk about disappointment... Andora in Sewickley had long been one of my favorites and I was thrilled to hear that they would be opening a location so close to my home. I've been there twice and both times I have been underwhelmed. It seems as if they don't put forth the effort here that they do at the Sewickly location. The food was okay, but certainly not what I have come to expect. Was it an upgrade from the former Stonepeppers? Without a doubt. Will I be back? I think not.

This my first time to an Andora Restaurant, and this one in Mars is new since last August. The service was really perfect with Melissa being helpful, and staging the drink orders and food to the table without a hitch. Overall food quality was excellent -- classic iceberg lettuce as salad was a nice change up. They have a tuesday 1/2 off bottles of wine. Happy hour. Bar layout cozy and well managed. Back room can be either closed even or open dining. Kitchen is sheltered -- no noise into the dinning rooms. Families with children of all ages welcome. Overall, a very pleasant experience for myself and the other 8 others in our party.

Only open for two weeks, we knew that our first visit to Andora would not be a smooth process. But what we didn't expect was an hour wait for a table! Luckily, there was a booth available in the bar area and we decided to grab it. Service was a bit unorganized, but we did not mind. They were doing the best they could. We decided to eat light. We shared our favorite Andora salad, an iceberg wedge Gorgonzola, corn, bacon, tomatoes, red onions and pepper ranch dressing. They were a little stingy with the dressing, but everything else about the salad was great. Next we got a couple appetizers. BJ got a crab cake, delicious. And I tried the tempura shrimp with roasted banana peppers, bell peppers and lemon garlic aioli. The shrimp were a little pale looking, wasn't sure what to think of this appetizer, although some of the bites had good flavor. For dessert, we shared a flour-less chocolate cake with ganache and ice cream. It was an incredible dessert. A huge hit with both me and BJ. We were there on a rainy evening, but we still were able to check out the patio. And while it is not as beautiful as the Mt. Nebo garden setting, we can't wait to try it out. As with any new business, I am sure it will take awhile to work the bugs out.

We had a great meal, it was really terrific. I would give the food 4.5 stars considering it is rather casual dining. The service however, was impossibly slow with no explanation and our waitress was very surly. Too bad. We'll try it again because you can't judge an experience by one bad waitress, but the slowness of the kitchen might be another issue. I'd recommend it, with hopes that they improve the kitchen efficiency. Here's hoping your waitress is happy!!

Had lunch here a few months ago, and it was excellent. Took my wife here for impromptu dinner this evening. Again, excellent. Very impressive wine list for a small place. This is in what was the Stone Pepper Grill. They have transformed it. Very nice, warm, feel to it. Quiet. Not super "high end, but well thought out menu. Cooked and presented very well. Modestly priced - two dinners and drinks under $60. Well worth a try for either lunch or dinner.

Love the outdoor patio. The salmon dish with rice and asparagus is excellent. I'm just not sure why it costs $8 more at dinner time than it does at lunch. The portions look the same?! ?

My family and I went here for dinner for a birthday celebration. We were all excited since it had just opened. The dinner started off fine- the waitress was friendly and the calamari appetizer was good. What was distracting were the tiny gnats and flies that were flying around. One of them landed in the dipping sauce. Then , I ordered filet with lobster and they brought out wrong dish. When they brought out the lobster , it was undercooked and not edible. It was very disappointing. Overall, would not recommend this place and would not go back there again.

This was my first venture to Andora and I'm admittedly harsh when it comes to suburban restaurants. That said, this place was just lacking. The ambience: not special. You are looking out at a DQ and Giant Eagle, along with the parking lot that is shared with the neighboring "Nail Spa". It just lacked any sort of beauty or special quality. The aesthetic of the restaurant was plain/boring. Improvement suggestion for ambience: keep the blinds tightly shut to the outdoor parking area, then develop a style that promotes what you want to feature. Want it to be loud and obnoxious? Then go crazy with sports gear and neon beer signs (this was the night we went....Obnoxious Patron Night.) But seriously, stringing up plenty of christmas lights, adding many indoor plants of every type...these two moves alone would warm it up. The tables need a flower in a glass jar or SOMETHING. the noise level: LOUD. I was in the bar area, granted, but it was already after 7 and people/patrons were shouting over each other. I have no idea if music was playing, as the bar was OOC. I know that these are the patrons, but mgmt could have politely asked them to speak with their inside voices? Splitting headache here! Attentiveness: We walked in wanting to go to happy hour, but when i first saw the male and female hostess (i think they were both in a daze, mouths open as they stared ahead and through us)....I asked "oh, is it still happy hour? We want to sit in the bar please." Female: *smiles halfway, looks to man* man: *mushgarblesmile* me: (Having no idea what he said) "Ok, we'll just go right in, thanks!" I think i wondered if i looked like a zombie or if I inadvertently spoke in pig Latin, because they were of no assistance or friendliness at all. I actually wondered if they'd rather we leave. We sat in the bar, it took about 10-12 minutes to get any sort of drink order. We sat down and no one came to us for about 10 minutes. We finally got our wine, which was good (one of the assets of Andora). We also ordered the zucchini rolls and an entree + salad. I didn't eat much of the food, so my review is mostly about the atmosphere. I will say it looked okay, but the appetizer zucchini rolls were saturated in cream sauce and filled with cheese. Guess that one strip of zucchini is supposed to offset the fact that it's a plate of fat, but I digress. Overall, I would recommend it if: You like loud, very local patrons. Do not expect to come here if you want to be escaping your neighbor in Mars or Cranberry. They're sitting next to you! You enjoy basic bistro food, nothing truly special. You want to think you've been to a "nice" restaurant but also want to get your fill of the local party-hard crowd, yukking it up as loudly as possible. If you want better ambience, suggest the Springfield Grille if it must be local, but the city offers so much more. Sorry Andora!

We never even got seated. When we arrived for our reservation they copped an attitude with us because we had our baby and our reservation was only for two. After politely stating we will go somewhere else for dinner they said they would get us a table and the wait would only be 5 minutes. 25 minutes later still no table. We decided to leave for another establishment. Note to management: if someone has a baby please try to accommodate. Train your Snobbish teenagers to be pleasant and to learn how to smile even if they cannot accommodate. We will not be back to your restaurant.

Good food and ambiance! I'm happy that Andora is now an option in Mars. I'll be back soon with friends or family. The outdoor area is great and relaxing for a nice dinner.
