So, our GPS found this place when we decided to stop for lunch on our way back to Allentown, PA, from Niagara Falls. We were looking for something "quaint" and local and thought with a name like Grandma's Kitchen, it has to awesome, right? Right! The decor is old school, you can look right into the "kitchen", and the meals aren't fancy - but nearly everything, including the sandwich bread, is made from scratch. There was also a really cute story about how it was founded printed on the back of the menu. I had a quiche special, my husband had pulled pork, and I'm not sure what my in-laws had but it was all pretty tasty, if very much "home style". However, the real treasure here was dessert. YOU MUST TRY THE PIE - the blueberry crumb I sampled was to die for and I heard rave reviews on all of the other slices that came to our table. Someone else already mentioned the more than reasonable pricing - let's just say 4 of us had lunch and dessert for less than $45 and we got 6 large cookies for $2.50! Great find!

Perfectly located halfway between home (Baltimore) and vacation (Niagara Falls), this place was great. Good food, great service and right off the highway. We haven't gotten to the baked goods yet, but they do look appetizing. Unfortunately, they don't have a fryer, so no fries with the delicious sandwiches.

This is a small quaint place. To me it feels like an old mobile home converted into a restaurant. The food and the prices and crazy good. The sandwiches are made with homemade bread! the soup doesn't have much flavor had to add to much Tabasco to the vegetable soup and chili. The homemade pies are excellent home cooking at it's best and at very reasonable prices.

Two of my sisters told me this place was "pretty good." We went but I mainly paid attention to my sisters, not the meal. Then I went with Mom and husband for lunch. We all loved it. The bread is delicious. The food was healthy. Service was polite and efficient and warm (hard combo to get right). Feels like a combo between sitting in your friend's kitchen and being at a diner. Mom and husband and I had a late lunch so there were booths available. When I went with my sis, it was pretty busy.

Five gramma's in a kitchen with fresh local ingredients! One star for each Gramma! Can it get any better? Yes, it can. Most the sandwiches cost between $2-3.75 and pie cost $2.90. I thought that in the long drive from Buffalo when we passed Rod Serling's hometown we may have stopped off in the Twilight Zone or at least gone through an Einsteinian time loop. Seriously, the last time I saw these prices I had a New Romantic hairstyle and listened to PIL. Gramma's Kitchen is worth every penny and then some. So if you find yourself in the Southern Tier or middle of Pennsylvania stop by and enjoy whatever pie these little ladies made fresh that day. It will be worth the side trip.

Another day, another chance to appreciate the area's fine dining opportunities! Off we go to lunch again, and to Gramma's house we go. Well, her kitchen, at least. As we drive up we remark on the number of cars parked in front of this lottle place. Armed with only a few trusty Yelp reviews, we enter, and are wowed by how big the interior is. Roomy would do it scant justice. The place has a very pleasant smell as you walk in, and a very homey, comfortable atmosphere. My coworker ordered the chili and I the pub burger as we settled to tuck in. Service was friendly and efficient, as noted in previous reviews, and we didn't feel neglected even though the place was packed. We soon got our food and this was the most disappointing part of the meal. The food was rather bland, the chili was had a taste of vinegar and tomato soup and lacked any chili peppers or powders, and the burger was a boring affair itself. The food wasn't bad, but after our steack sandwiches at Lamb's creek, it was very, 'meh'. This changed for me as I had the apple pie for dessert. Delicious. Fantastic. I could go on. And on. The price was very good, and I would try something else on the menu if I were to return, and I would eat here again if I were staying in town longer. Might try the breakfast next time.

If you're driving through, this is the place to eat. First, you won't find much along the highway and second, the food is actually really good (and super cheap). Omelets, pancakes, toast, pie, are all good choices. Everything is super buttery, but that's the style of food they serve. Friendly staff, quick service, and a great parking lot if you have a trailer too. I'd recommend it.
