Strawberry Bakery is the real deal. Just walking through the door makes you want to say "Bonjour!" in a sing-songy French accent. Say hi to Jean Pierre the owner if you see him - he's likely working on something in the back. Everything is very French and very good. Baked goods and chocolates both show fantastic technique, but more importantly, taste great. This place is more of a bakery than a cafe. They'll sell you a delicious espresso to complement your ethereal almond croissant, but you're not likely to want to sit around and drink it. This is much more of a "to go" place. That said, showing up a with a box of plain, almond, raspberry, and chocolate croissants from Strawberry Bakery is not only $20 well spent, but likely to get you into anyone's good graces. An affordable luxury, especially considering the Main Line. Makes a great post-Classic Diner stop if you somehow have enough room left after breakfast for a pastry or some chocolate truffles. Francophiles rejoice! Strawberry Bakery is here to take you back to those memories of that magical little cafe just down that narrow alley in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. You know the one I'm talking about.

We've ordered two custom cakes from Strawberry Bakery in the last year, and both times we've been extremely pleased with both the service and the finished products. This will be our go-to bakery for special occasions from now on. The first cake we ordered was a 16" strawberry shortcake, with beautiful turquoise icing and custom flowers. The cake was such a hit, that when we started planning my Grandmother's 90th birthday party, a few people requested we go to Strawberry. We wound up ordering the same size and type of cake for this party, and people couldn't stop raving about the beautiful cake! If you're looking for a yummy and gorgeous custom cake for a birthday, shower, event, try Strawberry Bakery, they are excellent!

We had a birthday party and I didn't want to get the cake from Wegmans so googled and saw this place nearby. Read some reviews and decided on this place. We ordered Chocolate cake which was perfect taste/shape/texture etc. I'm not an expert in baking or reviewing cakes but wanted write an review for this one particular. This place is just beside to Paradise Biryani Pointe Malvern and has lots of cakes for choice. We tried out some cup cakes too and they were amazing. For me my decision of buying cake here was worth and i will come back again. "Try it and decide for yourself"

Stopped by here after having lunch because I heard their stuff was good. I ended up getting this little cake like thing, I'm sorry! I forget the name of it but I posted a picture. It looks like a dome of chocolate with almonds on top. It was alright tasting.. I thought the inside was going to be more cake like and soft but it wasn't. After taking another look around the store, I noticed the front wall on the left (if you are facing the door) had a shelf full of items made from chocolate. The chocolate heel caught my eye because my friend really like heels. Got her a dark chocolate one & ended up having a funny conversation with the chasier about "old people likes dark chocolate" this is a quote from my little cousin because I now like dark chocolate. The lady was also night enough to go get me a different heel after looking at it & said the other one was starting to come apart.

Specifically searching for macarons in the area, I found Strawberry Bakery on Yelp. Nice little bakery, where I grabbed a vanilla cake of some sort and 2 chocolate macarons. Upset that they only had chocolate available, but perhaps it being Valentine's day was the cause for that. However, BECAUSE it was Valentine's day, the macarons were on sale for $1. Cheapest I've paid AND biggest I've had! They were huge! Definitely worth coming back to try other flavors, assuming they will be available next time.

I have been going to this bakery for a while, I must say they are one of the best French Bakery's in the region, but can work on customer service skills a bit. Staff is usually rude and they need to clean their finger nails. They also need to be told to handle food and serve them without touching them. Also depending on the time you go, parking may be an issue.

They have amazingly buttery croissants. I would definitely recommend them. Get there early as they do sell out if you wait too long.

Many thanks to Jean Pierre and the staff at the Strawberry bakery. I ordered a 40th birthday "crazy cat lady" cake for my sisters birthday less than a week before the party. Not only did they do it on short notice, but it was reasonably priced as well. The cake got rave reviews from everyone at the party for the design and the taste. I also bought some of the peanut butter cookies which were amazingly good. I will definitely be making return trips to this place in the future.

On one of my last days working in Malvern, it was decided that a cupcake party would be thrown for me. Strawberry Bakery provided all the necessary cupcakes and utensils, and it was fantastic! I tried what seemed to be a double chocolate chip as well as a cheesecake, and both were absolutely phenomenal. Soft and velvety cheesecake goodness in the form of a cupcake? Yes sir! Highly recommended, and a must try!

Here's what I want from a baguette -- crusty, but not so tough that it cuts the inside of yer mouth when you bite into it; chewy soft on the inside, but with enough crevices to collect generous smears of aioli, pate, or other desired spreads; fluffy, light, flavourful and yeasty; a light press of the fingertips should yield a soft, crispy crunch sound. So you can imagine that, when we buy such baguettes from Strawberry Bakery, that they don't really have time to get stale. Same day or not at all, folks. If that wasn't already enough points for Strawberry Bakery, let's talk about their opera cake (also known as The Cake That Earns Serious Brownie Points in my house). Jean Pierre knows how to make a damned good opera cake -- layers of chocolate, cream, icing, all of them not too sweet, not too dense, not too heavy. Individual slices are deceptively small, but every bite is loaded with bliss. Macarons are occasionally for sale if you stop in on a lucky day. They've also got thin cookies, chocolates, and croissants in a few flavours -- note that the chocolate croissant does contain shredded coconut, sadface. I do agree with the decor thing -- it's a bit on the meh side, but as the bakery is to-go, shouldn't be too off-putting for the five minutes that you're drooling over the bakery cases anyway. Great little slice of France in the middle of suburbia PA!

I love this place! I go here twice a year (whenever I go to my dentist... ironic huh :D) and I schedule my appointment for 4:30 so I have enough time to make it to the bakery for their $1 specials. Their danishes and croissants are amazing. My favorite pastries are anything with blueberries but everything I've gotten from there has been amazing! It helps me look forward to my dentist appointments!

Great ooogly moogly! My friend who works at Strawberry, brought over a Flourless chocolate cake with layers of ganache for my birthday. The solid oak table, that he placed it on groaned as the table legs buckled. I've stated that I'm not a huge sweet and cake fan, but this creation made me a convert. Technically I'd put that cake in the category of candybar. Eating it, there was a fine line between wanting more and wanting to curl up under the table. It was Bill gates rich. Score another win for Jean Pierre and Strawberry bakery!

This place is so good it's wicked. Fine European style pastries have arrived at the Philly burbs! How cool is it? You can buy chocolate high heel shoes!

Best croissant ever!!! Would not get croissant from any where else. My wife loves the baguette there as well. Price is very reasonable and staff is always consistently friendly. Once you try this place, you will always go back.

Excellent quality baked goods and chocolates. Have gotten treats from here several times. Just stopped back today with a small problem of freshness of one item out of several and the owner took excellent care of me. Will keep going back for more.

The pastries look beautiful and taste delicious but I do not think they are worth the outrageous $$$$. They are just too over priced.

I don't normally write reviews, but after the embarrassing pastry at my daughter-in- laws birthday, this needs to be said. A friend of my son offered to order a 30 th birthday cake for my daughter In law and upon arrival was given the bakery's King Cake - a. Circular pastry with two paper crowns on the top. It looked like a joke, but tasted even worse. It was dry dry dry and you could not begin to tell what type of THIN filling was inside. Not one person thought it was any good. How could a So-called French bakery even begin to pass this off for a birthday? A famous Fr,ench recipe? It must have been popular during the French Revolution when flour and other ingredients were in scarce supply! Don't waste your money at this bakery!

Strawberry Bakery is a little hard to find amongst the clutter of Lancaster Ave. in Frazer, but it is definitely worth finding! Strawberry is located in a small strip center called "Frazer View" nearly across the Classic Diner. As authentic a French-style bakery as can be found in the US, Strawberry offers a delicious array of cakes, tartlets, cookies and breads. The croissants are incredible and can be had with an excellent cup of hardy French-roast coffee. The baguette is crusty, yet chewy like the ones you'd find in the best bakeries in France. The cakes and tarts are works of art and taste heavenly. Where else are you going to find a pear cake? Strawberry's homemade marshmallows are worth the trip alone. They come in different fruit flavors. Think that marshmallows are just for kids-think again. You haven't had true marshmallows until you've had one at the Strawberry bakery. I'd have given Strawberry Bakery 5 stars but they could do more to the decor to make it a bit more inviting. But the quality and taste of what they offer really does deserve the fifth star.

This is my first visit here so I was not able to give it a 5 star. Just not enough experience as a customer but, everything that we purchased was excellent from the little cakes to the cookies, the almond croissant , French loaf and cappuccino. All top notch. Next trip back we will probably buy some chocolate.
