Small sushi place in a strip mall. Go to Staples and take a left. In between the Thai place and the nail salon... We go here often. The best part is their new AYCE option. For one low price you get to order off a more limited menu. But it's not really that limited. It includes sushi, sashimi, maki, noodles, soups, appetizers, desserts, too much stuff to mention. And you can keep ordering and ordering and ordering. Portions are generous. Just order what you'll eat, eat what you order. And it's BYO! My only gripe: They've put a big TV on the wall. No one needs to watch TV while they have dinner. I mean yes maybe if you're home alone. But in a restaurant? Hate it.

Awesome sushi restaurant. I have come here a ton, both for take-out and dine-in. The sushi is great and the staff is very nice. It's fun to sit at the bar sometimes because you are able to watch them make the rolls. Also available for dine-in is an all you can eat for around $25/person, which is pretty reasonable. it's a limited menu with some of the specialty rolls, but they still include some pretty good ones. I would definitely recommend this place.

    Been here for a few times because it's becoming one of my favorite places! The waitresses are all very nice, sweet, and working fast. The environment is good, clean quiet and pretty. It's small though so sometimes it's packed. Overall, it's worth4- 4.5 stars. I got "all-you-can-eat" sushi a few times to try the different items available on the limited menu. Sushi, sashimi and specialty rolls are all excellent. The deserts are good and different, such as green-tea and red-bean ice cream. There is some room for the restaurant to improve, to make even more items as special as most other items.Some recommendations: All-you-can-eat limited menu: if you include some on the menu, better not charge extra. Otherwise, exclude them; Some 'unimportant' Americanized items like egg rolls and chicken wings --get rid of the blend items and create some special flavors, maybe like wasabi-flavor or mango-flavor chicken wings; Or the sweet potato tempura --should be made more like a cook's specialty instead of greasy fast-food stand items. The small noodle soup --should have bit more noodles but less veggie;

Cute little sushi place somewhere in malvern! I heard about this place from a friend and we went as a large group. The service was pretty fast and all the servers worked as a team and we were being taken care of the entire time. I went for money bay as an appetizer then sahai and lady gaga roll (yes I got lady gaga because of the name) it was absolutely delicious!!!! I loved it! I wasn't that hungry and I made sure I don't even leave a piece. The prices are very decent in my opinion nothing too crazy. They also have all you can eat menu if you're super hungry or if you just love sushi that much. Great place! Definitely coming back.

Incredibly crafted sushi. I will always go back. Seemed like a quiet undiscovered gem at first and now years later it has gained good rapport, and deservingly so. The presentation is outstanding and the service has always been conscientious. They know if you want a quiet dinner and are also attentive to groups. Friends I have recommended have now made it their date night spot. Try it! Worth the drive.

This is one of my favorite place to go out and eat they wouldn't serve sea urchin because they weren't fresh that the restaurant I wanna go to everyday. I love this place!! Sushi and sashimi just melted in my mouth.

Japanese was not our for yesterday's lunch. Our first choice did not have AC and in this sweltering heat, we were not going to survive! So, Mino's it shall be. Wow! We found a gem. We got the Vegetarian Tempura, nice and crunchy. The Amazing Roll and the Dragon Roll were so artistically plated and were yummy. They all tasted fresh. It was just unfortunate that this had to be an eat and run lunch, so we will return! The ambiance was great, dim enough to not hurt your eyes but you can still see the yummy rolls. The music was not obstructive that you can have a decent conversation. They have an AYCE lunch and dinner buffet on specific days of the week. And we will definitely be back to try the other dishes they have!

"YOU had sushi?!?!", my friend exclaimed. Thanks to my pal Steve, I decided to give sushi a go for the first time. I did the Vegas, Spicy tuna, and California (of course), and enjoyed them all. I also got a few sides for insurance, but next time I'm all in. Nice atmosphere, great food, great service...I'll be going back! (And I think I'll stop buying that buy-one-get-one imitation crabmeat from the supermarket.)

Went there for lunch. If I wasn't on an expense account I wouldn't have been thrilled. The lunch menu is very limited. As it was, ordered 2 rolls, the summer and winter. Both were very good but my bill was like $26! Yikes, steep lunch.

Oh, Sushi is very very fresh. So many people come to this place today. I will come again with my colleague next week. Green tea ice cream is my favor.

This is a small gem of a place tucked away in Frazer! I've been there a few times now and each time the service is friendly and attentive, an the sushi is absolutely delicious! It is super fresh and beautifully prepared, tons of amazing rolls and the all you can eat sushi deal is totally worth it! Definitely worth checking out, I know I'll be back, soon!

Just like another reviewer said- I hesitate to write a review and let the world know about this little restaurant that could. It is a small place- be sure to make that reservation.................. We went early this Sunday 5:30 and we were the second table to fill up so the food came rather quickly. We all decided to get the all you can eat dinner $24.95 and there was something for everyone. The sushi fish is really fresh, if you are into sushi you should try this place out. There was one server that night, so service was backed up. Come if you have time to sit and relax. We have been here before and ate off of the a la carte menu, but if you can eat a lot in one sitting the all you can eat is worth it. Only thing to be aware of.....................you can place your first initial order with a lot of food, and then you can order more,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but it is noted on the bottom of the choice menu that if you order so much and have left overs....... (and you planned on taking them home) there would be an additional charge for all the leftover food. Just thought you should have a heads up.

I wouldn't have known this place existed if it wasn't for the Groupon they had offered. The first time we went was a Friday night. (heads up - make a reservation if it's around a wknd, they can be very busy!) I was surprised to see a full house when we came. The servers are super sweet and very attentive. It took a very long time to get our food but i think it's because it was so busy. But the presentation and the taste was great! There was a bit of a mix up with one of the roles being forgotten but they did bring it out eventually. I strongly recommend the Pink Lady but I'm a fan of mango so if you like a little sweet with your sushi, get this. We went for a 2nd time just recently late Wednesday night and there was us and another couple. That's it! This time our food came out very quickly and it was all so tasty! They were kind enough to keep the place open after they officially closed and we didn't feel rushed at all. I recommend giving these guys a try!

I had high hopes because my foodie companion had great experiences here, but it was just average this evening. We had the following: 1. cooked seaweed salad hijiki- different and impressive to see on the menu. 2. beef negimaki- pretty standard. 3. shrimp shumai- tasted like it was defrosted and nuked. 4. special yellowtail sashimi appetizer with jalapeno- very tasty. spicy and fresh and flavorful. Well done! 5. snow roll- spicy tuna inside with white tuna on top- great concept but the white tuna didn't taste very fresh and the spicy tuna wasn't very spicy. 6. lobster tempura roll- I'm usually not a fan of all things fried, but the lobster tempura was nicely prepared. It had a light crunch, and a generous amount of lobster 'filling'. This was my favorite roll of the evening. 7. grilled salmon roll- this was just average again, and I let my dinner companion have most of it. I understand there are several sushi places in this part of PA, and I'll try them before I come back here again. Service was fast and friendly, but the food wasn't exciting.

Even thought it all u can eat .it is just the service attitude 。they roll their eyes when u ask for second .and they forget the stuff that is on the first order .even thought it is written on the paper .they just don't know how to read or count .it is not even busy and they don't refilled your drinks .and too much rice one the sushi .i don't know how they got the good reviews ,but We will not visit again.

Great Japanese food for a great value. Best in the region. The rolls are fantastic. It is not fast food at all. You need to take your time to go there.

Since my initial review, Mino has continue to exceed my expectations. Food is consistently fresh, and service is good as usual. Recently found out that their fried rice is one of their top dishes, must try.

What a wonderful restaurant!! I usually go here for lunch for their all you can eat special. You definitely won't leave hungry. Their pork dumplings are amazing and the beef teriyaki is cooked perfectly every time. The seaweed salad and kani salad are also very good. They offer a large variety of food that could please anyone. The ice cream afterwards is great too. I love this place and I highly recommend it.

My parents and I stopped in on Sunday at 7pm and the place was packed. We were fortunate to get the last table without having to wait on the sidewalk. We decided to get the all-you-can-eat dinner ($24.95 for adults) and share a few too many items. The portions for the non-sushi items are smaller so you don't have to feel guilty ordering a few. The soup came out a few moments after handing in our order. Everything came out quite quickly and the server didn't flinch when we asked if we could order a few more items. The fish seemed fresh enough (I live by the ocean so I'm spoiled) and all the other food was high quality. Somehow we managed to consume 90% of what we ordered (which was a lot...), although I doubt they'll actually charge unless you are insanely gluttonous. I was pretty impressed for a strip mall sushi place.

  • Jo L.

Come early during lunch. It starts to get packed at 12-1230. You have 2 options for the sushi here: order by rolls or all-you-can-eat. And for $15 during lunch, if you can eat 2 special rolls, you already paid for it. Then you can get hot appetizers and other rolls with the all-you-can-eat so I highly recommend that. I like their MONEY BAG! It's basically crab rangoon. They come with 2 small little "bags" though so if you like them, order more than 1. I'll probably be back here for another lunch day!

So glad I found this little Sushi place in Frazer!! Love the all-u-can-eat lunch-only $15.99 during the weekdays. It is fresh made to order and you can get as much food as you want, from appetizers, sushi to desserts. The trick is that you have to finish everything you ordered otherwise they charge you. Go with larger group of people so you can get more variety to choose from. I highly recommend this place to sushi lovers!!

Well, its been another year (into our 3rd) and my friends and I still come here once a month for dinner for guys night out. This is easily one of the best sushi joints in the area. The chefs are great, the waitresses are super friendly, and they have great rolls and very fresh fish. We wont go anywhere else for sushi. You just cant beat it. Love it!

  • Steve S.

Is it technically the best sushi place in this immediate area? That might be Akio. Is it the most convenient? As people have said, this place gets packed after 12:30 and you will have to wait. Is it the best ambiance? No, it's a strip mall. Is it going to be better than your higher end sushi places? I am pretty sure that sushi snobs will find a problem. But, the quality of the sushi is very good. On top of that, $14.95 for an AYCE deal at lunch is the absolute best sushi value I have found. Anytime you can give me a lot of really good sushi that makes me happy at a price like that, you're getting a minimum of 4 stars. I don't care if you're located in a gas station. Ok, I care about that. I love it here, but after my second visit I noticed after the fact that at least one of the specialty rolls that was prepared for me was missing an ingredient that was listed in the menu. For the record it was the Orange Dragon roll missing the avocado. Granted these sushi chefs are busy and it's easy to screw up. In the end it's not as bad as missing a fish ingredient. I decided to eat it anyway because I didn't think of it until later when I double checked the menu. It's a mistake and it keeps them from 5 stars. But I'll still be a regular. I'd go 4.5 stars if I could.

Mino has quickly become our favorite dinner date location in the area. The sushi is high quality, they have a great selection and they are relatively quick. My obsession with Mino started with a few date nights with my wife, but has now turned into a weekly take out routine and I've even convinced some of coworkers to make the drive from KOP for the all-u-can-eat lunch. Mino has a great, small atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. The sushi chef's almost always welcome you and then again thank you as you leave. In my mind, the all-u-can-eat is the way to go if you're going to eat more than two special rolls. There is a great variety and unlike many other places, the all-u-can-eat includes salads, appetizers, and dessert (a small secret, their ice cream is actually VERY good!). Also, it's a BYOB which is always a plus for me!

NO ammodation s for people with bariatric surgery forcing me and my boyfriend to have to disassemble the maki roles so I could eat the fish and the bf ate the rice and avocado. We were denied the option to order the 10 dollar more ALCE dinner for me which included just fish (as I cant have rice). We were denied the option to get sheets of seaweed paper so I can just wrap the raw fish in them, wanted to charge 50 cents a shhet of seaweed and I was denied the ability to get a veggie roll with no rice. Used to love this place before my surgery but can't subject myself to that again. Not accommodationng at all even if it mean they made more $ considering I could only eat about 1 cup of anything for a meal Due to my surgery. NOT Recommending due to poor service.

  • Typhanie Z.

For the price, the AYCE sushi isn't bad, I guess, but personally, I would rather go to Wegmans and spend the money on 2 packages of what I consider to be better quality rolls rather than trying to stuff myself silly at Mino's. I had pretty high expectations based on the reviews, but the AYCE sushi falls flat. Most of the rolls on the menu are made from the fish paste, so it didn't taste very good. The few rolls that had fish on top of the rolls, the fish was not fresh and just didn't taste very good. The service was okay. The rolls came out pretty quickly, but our water glass was only filled once during the entire meal, and the restaurant was rather empty during our meal. We only had the AYCE, so their rolls may be better if you ordered off of the regular menu, but for those prices, I think there are better places to go.

Love the food! Good quality for being so cheap! Best All you can eat sushi place around exton area

  • Andy C.

This place does get busy on a Friday night and because of that thd service can be slow. For 25 dollar all you can eat sushi you can't go wrong. The fish is fresh and they have a big selection of sashimi and rolls and other items. I like how they don't use msg it's such a relief. I recomond eating here

    (4)
  • Tina Z.

Fucking stupid, this is the first time I see the shrimp is so small and the rice is so much for the sushi. I think mino just wants to let us eat more sushi rice, then we can be full, but the sashimi is really really really small, it's tiny! The service is bad, too. I need more hot tea, when I let the waiter refill my tea cup several times during two hours dinning, then she feels unhappy, the last time I let her refill my cup, she directly gives two cups of tea, then never do any service on me.

    (1)
  • Dave W.

Went there last night for dinner. BYOB which is always nice. Place was much smaller than I anticipated. We each got the all you can eat sushi, the selection was fairly limited, but the quality of the items that were on the list was very good, food that requires cooking came out fast, sushi were well made, and the staff was very very friendly. Only improvement I would suggest is that they should avoid charging extra $$ for certain items on the list, 25 bucks is already pretty steep for all you can eat dinner.

    (5)
  • Alicia B.

Mino is DELICIOUS! They prepare take out orders very quickly and are always very consistent with taste. For $12 you can get three rolls and soup- GOOD DEAL. If you want a GREAT deal then I suggest going in for the ALL YOU CAN EAT lunch. for $15 you can have multiple rolls, soup, salad, appetizers, tempura- you name it. Just don't over order! ENJOY!

Thursday - November 29, 2012 - 12:30PM I ordered the all-you-can eat for $14.95. Specifically, the spicy California roll, Mango roll, Fantasy roll, and Kirin roll. I waited longer than expected but, the food was excellent. The were only two servers for a busy lunch crowd.

    (4)
  • Christine S.

I had a Dynamite roll, spicy tuna roll and Philadelphia roll. All tasted fabulous and fresh. They were beautifully presented -- the chef is quite the artist. Serving time is longer but that's not always a bad thing in such a fast pace. I'm sure it's the time for freshness and display. I was visiting from out of town but will definitely revisit and recommend to my friends there. Menu selection was good. Plenty of choices but not overwhelming.

  • Jennifer G.

Love this place! The sushi is awesome and you can't beat the $15~ all you can eat lunch. My coworkers and I go here a lot. But be sure to block out some of your day before going because it's popular and can get crowded, so you could be there for at least an hour.

So I went to Mino couple more times after the first pleasant experience. However, their service is getting worse. The restaurant offers ALL YOU CAN EAT and the waitresses always give us attitude like we ordered too much.

An okay sushi place on the Mainline just west of Paoli. The space is fairly nice, but nothing fancy. The rolls tend to feature lots of tuna, though there are two rolls that are mostly salmon inside and out (which is atypical for a lot of sushi places-- an pleasant surprise!). The presentation of the food is a typical, ordinary. The biggest qualms: - Service is stupendously slow. They have a "now hiring servers" sign posted, but apparently it's not helping. - The music selection was a little off-putting. They had an Eminem song playing without edits-- not a great choice/bad for lots of families. - The board listing specials faces the door only. You have to walk across the restaurant read about the rolls. Wouldn't hurt to have a sheet printed and placed in menus daily....one per table even. - Whenever the door opened, amazingly cold air rushed into the front of the restaurant. It almost made me ralph. Sushi- Good selection, okay execution, okay presentation. Ordinary, but viable. Service- Slow. Friendly staff, though. Space- Typical layout, arrangement, decor. Score- 3 Stars.

A good sushi/Japanese restaurant in the Malvern area. The fish is reasonably fresh, the preperation Ok, but nothing outstanding. The service is Ok too. If I'm in the mood for sushi in the future, and happen to be in the immediate vicinity, I'd probably stop back in. However, I wouldn't venture out of my way to come here.

Went there for my bday with my bf, and it was pretty good. We each got all you can eat, and everything was nice and fresh. Byob is always nice. Wish they didn't charge $2 more for sea urchins tho. Besides that everything met my expectations:)

We love this place. Eat in or take out, the food is always good. My wife and I love the sushi and my kids love the tonkatsu. They have some rolls, etc. that I have not seen on other sushi menus. I may have been there a few times as they also know my name :) Has a "family" feel to the place too.

Had dinner at Mino tonight again. Bill and Anna are perfect hosts. The sashimi was absolutely wonderful, the shrimp tempura must have been in front of me within 15 seconds of leaving the fryer and was sweet and tender. My special roll was both tasty and artistically presented. Mino continues to exceed all expectations. It's our favorite.

  • Renata D.

Had dinner at Mino last night for the first time and was impressed. The food took a while to come out, but this was not a huge deal as I was chatting away with my friend. We also had both ordered appetizers which came out quickly and so had something to pick at while waiting. The servers were great, and the food was pretty good. I say pretty good because although my Lonely Angel roll was fantastic, my friend's Rainbow roll was just "okay." we ordered ice cream for desert, mainly because I saw that they had red bean as a flavor, and it was delicious. I definitely plan on giving this little place another go sometime soon!

  • Daniel M.

I absolutely love this place! Every time I go there, I tell the server that I cannot eat raw sushi so she help suggest cook sushi for me. I was never disappointed with anything there. Food is good and service is great.

  • Simone M.

Thrilled to find this restaurant, and it has been right down the road all along. The service was great and the all you can eat was a great deal ( and of course more than we could eat). I was interested in one of the specials so they included that in the All you can eat for less than half price. It was The Lady Gaga Roll, delicious and beautiful, FUN! WE will be going back for sure.

    (5)
  • Rebecca K.

It's so small that I am hesitant to write a review because if others find out about what a delicious deal this is, I may never get in! I'd caution you to always call for a reservation as there isn't really even anywhere to wait for a table. Mino is a tiny gem - it has an all-you-can eat menu (NOT BUFFET - All freshly prepared) of staples- soups, gyoza and shumai, noodles, salad, and rolls and sushi/sashimi selections. The food is very good, and we typically start by ordering just enough and then as we eat we decide on what else we might order. Some of the other reviews noted the slow service, which can be true, but in the weeks we've been going it has been getting better and better, and they did hire some help. I find that if we order lots of the appetizers, which are prepared in the kitchen, there's never a long period without food. The two sushi guys can get backed up, so it is just important to order a diversity of food! Since it is all included, that works just fine. It is so delicious and such a good value that we never mind the wait, and they always treat my little girl with some kind of Japanese candy at the end of the meal, so she loves it too.

  • Sue P.

We were the only one in the restaurant and took 30+minutes. My son ordered all you can eat and he didn't get anything until after we received a partial boat which was missing rolls and then they were both deep fried! His second order came quicker but no wasabi, ginger or presentation PLEASE pass on this place under new management. Cannot imagine what they would do with a few tables since they couldn't handle one-yikes!!

    (1)
  • Bobby P.

Normally I stay away from all-you-can-eat, because frankly I should never display in public how much I can actually eat. For the modest price, the sashimi quality was good. Very good. I tend to steer clear of most rolls, but from what I tried they were fine. The teriyaki didn't look too appetizing, but that might just be my aversion to filling up on glazed chicken when there's sashimi to be had.

    (4)
  • John S.

In the past month my wife and I have been here 4 times, We can't get enough. Each time we've brought someone new, and they all left happy, amazed and full. This last time I thought I'd have to roll out. I've read some of these negative reviews this place has and I don't get it. To start off let me say that the staff is super nice and is in no way rude and the service is good. I've never experienced any attitude from their staff. The fish to rice ratio is very good as well especially for an all you can eat place. If you don't want rice get the sashimi, which is a perfect size, I don't need to be choking. If you think it's small order more, did I mention it was all you can eat? Also why do you need to curse in your reviews?? That's just silly.

Excellent local sushi place. I go with my boyfriend all the time for all-you-can-eat. It's 14.95 for lunch and 24.95 for dinner. We even found Groupon, but its without the all-you-can-eat option which is a little disappointing. I love all their sushi options and their beef fried rice is pretty good. It gets busy sometimes but it is worth the price and quality and their two servers are always nice to us. Forgot to mention that it's also byob.

Mino has new owners and staff and the change is very positive. I had the sushi dinner and couldn't believe how good it was. My daughter ordered a special roll (I can't remember the name) which was just beautiful on the plate and very tasty. Highly recommend!

Mino is the best! His place is intimate but has a very family friendly atmosphere. If you love sushi rolls then Mino's is the place to go...try the ginger salad, real yummy!
