Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I was looking for a quick dinner Friday night and on a recommendation from the front desk at my hotel decided to give Original Italian Pizza a try. The pizza was OK, nothing really special but good enough. I ordered Buffalo Wings to go with it. Now I'm not sure if they delivered the wrong wings or if their version of Buffalo Wings is way off. I'd have to deduct a star for them if they weren't so damn good. It was like a honey BBQ teriyaki glaze and I really enjoyed them. All in all not a bad experience.

Original Italian Pizza is located in an outparcel of the Walmart Supercenter complex and I stopped here while driving through the Lewisburg area. Interior is decently decorated and looks relatively modern. Ordered Stuffed Shells while my friend got a Chicken Parmesan sandwich. The Stuffed Shells came with Soup or Salad and Bread. The Italian Wedding Soup was ok and I found the Garlic Bread yeasty. Three Stuffed Shells were included on the plate, the pasta and sauce was average. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich my friend got was filling, but like the whole meal was nothing special. They serve Pepsi products. Service was fine and prices were decent, but overall this wouldn't be my first choice for an Italian meal in the Lewisburg area.

The server knew nothing about the check-in promo of a free drink, and I didn't want to make a fuss so that didn't help them win any points with me. I asked about a few dishes and the server said she didn't know if they where any good. So I order two slices of pizza. I won't be coming back. Poor service. Mediocre pizza. Over priced!!! $9.00 for two slices of pizza and a drink.

I've been eating OIP for years and since I've moved out of the area always make a point to stop when we go home to visit. Their subs are incredible, the bread is freshly made and is different than normal hoagie bread...the tuna cosmo with a little vinegar is my favorite. Pizza is great. Everything is great

They have a sign out front that says it is under new management. This was my first time here and was hoping for a great Stromboli. As I entered I noted that the place was clean and a decent crowd for 2pm on a Tuesday. The service was quick to supply a menu and take my drink order. Opening the menu I found that it was full but well broken down into that every additional item had a price tag. Though this is not uncommon, just never to this extreme. I order the regular medium Stromboli that when it arrived it was very big, cut and placed nicely on a pizza tray. As I got involved I noticed little to no meat inside and what was there was to one side with only a single piece. No salami was found and 9 pieces of pepperoni. Not only was this disappointing but when I asked to see the manager he or she never came out! I normally do not Yelp but read the reviews. This time I thought "boy I got screwed" I might want to yelp a review.

Ordered the Hawaiian pizza by phone and for pick up. When I asked what kind of crust they had the person seemed surprised and did not know how to answer at first. Not a good sign to me. I asked if it was thin or thick or if you could choose. But all he could tell me is that it was "not stuffed or anything". Ham instead of the Canadian bacon I prefer on Hawaiian pizza's, but that was okay. The pizza was ready when they said it would be. It had this odd buttery flavor in the crust that made me feel like I was eating a buttered bread open face sandwich as the crust was very bread like. The medium was very generous in size and toppings were also, so it makes me wonder what they can do with other kinds of pizza as maybe my choice was just too sweet?

OIPs is great. Every time I've gone it's been with a very large group so they always give us the room in the back. The service is pretty good.. Pizza, stromboli and calzones, chicken parms, and most dinner meals are great.

I like the food here. Solid Italian-American staples and the new location is bright, cheerful and more spacious. The bread is strangely addictive, so that will get you hooked if nothing else does. You're not going to get anything fancy here, but this is one of the best you'll get in Central PA. The big bonus here? OIPs is a BYO. My group went for a Saturday lunch. Five of us rolled in with a chilled bottle of champagne and we were promptly delivered actual champagne glasses, which I did not expect, because I could not imagine anyone else rolling into this place with champagne. But hey, it worked, and only strengthened my attachment to OIPs.

OIPS will always have a special place in my heart, even though they've moved to a new location since I went to school in Lewisburg. I have many fond memories of coming here on Sunday nights with friends from my freshman hall, and we'd all get the baked ziti and chicken parms, and the total bill would be $8 a person, and it was great. I was there this weekend for reunion, and it was just as good as I remembered it being.

OIPS is good for the egg plant parmesan sandwich and pizza fries (dine in only otherwise it gets SOGGY). My ex used to get their calzone and it always looked delicious..... I definitely prefer Vennari's if you are looking for pizza but OIPS is probably my second choice for Italian in the 'burg!

Got pizza and pizza fries for take out--both were soggy. The pizza could have been cooked a bit longer but I'm from Texas so the pizza might be different here than what I'm used to.

Affectionately referred to as OIPs. It's hard to rate a pizza place like this very high for some reasons, but food is not one of them. The stuff there is great. Personally, I don't think you'll find a better sandwich, sub, or calzone around town. The pizza is not too shabby either (though I prefer Vernnari's in downtown Lewisburg, and ate at House of Pizza a lot as a kid). Sandwiches are cheap, and you get plenty of food there. It's a nice place to stop if you're shopping up that way, or if you want to get off campus or away from downtown. It's hard to judge pizza and subs sometimes, but you can't go wrong here for the food. The joint looks a little like a dive, so don't bring a first date here, and you may not like the strip mall it is in, but if you can overlook that, you won't go away hungry.

The tuna cosmos here are supremely delicious! They come right out of the oven fresh and warm; the tuna is covered in oozing melted cheese & onions, and is surrounded by this fabulous, home-made toasted ciabatta-like bread. The bread they make here is fantastic -- crusty on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. The guys working in the kitchen (who also happen to own the place!) are originally from Italy, and you can tell that they really know how to make authentic Italian style bread. Mmmm, getting hungry for a sub just thinking about this place! ;-) I haven't tried anything else on the menu, other than their house salad -- which is also delicious. What I've tried, I really like! Part of the reason for this is that every time I go here, I'm with my parents, who only eat the cosmos and salads here. In fact, it was my parents who introduced me to this place. So thanks Mom & Dad! It's become a favorite post-trunk-show destination for our family. After we're done working all day at my company's jewelry trunk show, we usually head over to this restaurant. The tuna cosmo really hits the spot after all that hard work! The old adage about food tasting even better when you're hungry is true, although I think their cosmos would taste great regardless of the extenuating circumstances! Not too long ago, they expanded to another location in the Super-Walmart plaza, just down the road (on Rt. 15). I've gotten take out from this location -- cosmos & salads of course -- and it was equally good. If you are hungry for tuna cosmos and salads and happen to live in or near Lewisburg, this is the place to go!
