Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Another local favorite. Had lunch there today, the chopped chicken salad is the best (sans the beans for me.) Server was a little inattentive but that's highly unusual there. Good place to meet my favorite client and do a little work.

I love this place. I had the seafood skewer(shrimp) that's in the appetizer section though they have an entree of it as well. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever had and I'm more of a beef/chicken person. This review is for the Pizza Grille on Old Gettysburg Road. I think they're the same owner.

  • Andrea R.

My absolute favorite pizza place! We always order two pizzas: the spicy shrimp and then try one we've never had. Bring a bottle of wine and you're set for an evening of great food and chit chat; though I wish they were open a bit later

The review relates to the Carlisle, PA location. The Pizza Grille is great. The decor is modern, bright and upbeat. We have eaten their pizzas and salads and they are great. Just one caveat. When you order takeout check it before you leave. The teenagers at the cash register are pleasant, but really dozy, and we have had our orders screwed up almost every time that we get takeout. We shouldn't have to check the orders before we leave, but after several incorrect orders, we realized that we had to. Having said that, the food, when you finally get it right, is excellent.

So first off make sure to check which location you are going to. Before going I decided to look at the menu on their website, there was 1 menu for both locations, so I set my mind on ordering one of their pastas. Well, what do you know this location does not serve pasta, only pizza and sandwiches. So I had to re-read the menu and try to find something else. I went for the spinach and mushroom pizza and my bf for the Greek. The cheese was just soo gooeyy. Overall our pizzas were delish. I made sure to say I wanted my pizza well done, as I noticed on the other customers their crust seemed a lot more on the white than brown side. Great atmosphere and a good alcohol selection.

I tried the Pizza Grille after a recommendation from a friend. The ambiance is a bit awkward--randomly placed mirrors and cramped tables make for a strange atmosphere. Fortunately, the food is good. I ordered a Margarita pizza, and my friend ordered a pizza salad. The crusts were thin, but not quite crispy, which was disappointing. There was a huge amount of mozzarella cheese on my pizza, along with basil and sliced tomatoes. My friend's pizza salad was topped with an incredible (almost overwhelming) amount of lettuce, and he had trouble eating it as an actual pizza. The lettuce toppled off every time he raised a slice to his mouth. It was a good meal overall, though I will probably get the food to go next time.

Went to Lunch with a group of Co-workers First time here. Most of us had salads which were huge, ( I ordered a full and probably would have been satisfied with half ) The service was amazingly fast considering that there was 12 of us. I could have sworn that I had just placed my order and the waitress was walking back with my food. ( However, the one Pizza order seemed to take a little longer and we wound up waiting to start eating) I ordered the Chicken Ceasar, ( which is my default if I can't make up my mind. ) Waitress seemed really attentive and even put a menu up to block the sunlight which was in our eyes. The other salads and sandwiches looked good too. I would certainly return here again.

I've eaten here several times. Did it again last night. This place has some serious mojo going on because every time we eat there we see people we know and they get seated near or beside us. Nice for business lunches, lunches with friends, or dinner. This is the original Pizza Grille - their newer place is larger and fancier. This one is much, much smaller and it hidden behind the west shore farmer's market in a little, rather nondescript building. There is outside seating in nice weather and you'll usually see the patio filled during the warmer months. The adults ordered their Pesto Burger. I LOVE this burger. On panini style bread, it is a huge burger (cooked to order), topped with pesto and those tiny, fresh mozzarella balls. It also has a kick-butt bruschetta on it as well. It is a huge burger to eat but it is soooo good. They serve, as your side, a crappy little pile of chopped lettuce that has been tossed with a vinaigrette dressing. At least it's better than fries to go with this burger. The kids split a small five cheese pizza. It was smoky and cheesy - but not too gooey. It was topped with some sliced tomato and it also had fresh basil - although it was difficult to find - perhaps they ran out? My four year old told me that is was her very favorite pizza skin EVER. It took a second for the "skin" comment to register when I realized that she meant crust. The crust was really good. I love thin and tasty pizza dough and this delivered. I usually avoid bread type things, but I had "just one" bite and ended up nibbling away the crust on one of the pizza slices. There is a lot to pick from on the menuy, but those two items are some of my favorites.

Best thing about this place is the salad. Their chopped salads are excellent. The pizza is great as well, but there's not that many choices past those two things.

Good food, excellent service. Pappadeux Salad appetizer had a strange bitter taste but the spinach and artichoke pizza was ridiculously good.

Love this location and it's atmosphere, plus it is byob which is always a plus! Such a friendly environment with warm and welcoming staff. I always order the feta and sun dried tomato chopped salad and I tried the Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza for the first time. It was delicious with a nice tangy BBQ sauce as it's base. My husband and I couldn't remember why we don't visit this restaurant more?!

This is one of 2 locations. The other is in Mechanicsburg. I love the healthy selections and the food is always great. I get the feta and sundried tomato salad and a roasted veggie pizza. The downside is noise. Both locations are noisy. The upside is byob.

Although it's a little pricey, Pizza Grill is worth it. The spicy shrimp pizza is amazing. I can't resist the chopped salads either. (The tuna is my favorite.) my husband loves the sausage pizza & cheesesteak pizza. Never tried the dessert, but if it's anything like their other items it'll be incredible!

I have been going to the pizza grille for years (at least 10) and I still love it whenever I come back home. I live in CA now and wish there was a pg out here :-)

Best place in the area. Everyone makes you feel welcome and at home. On Mondays and Fridays Marty, the host, is friendly, engaging and welcoming. Kudos also to Erica, Kelly, Vince and Ricardo. Food is excellent and prepared just requested. BYOB is an extra bonus.

Decent salads and ok pizza. You won't be disappointed...but you won't go raving about the great pizza you had. Serves the purpose and the salads taste pretty good (but not healthy!)

Many people have told me to try this place, I today I finally had the opportunity. The appearance is nothing fancy. I was dining alone, so I opted out of getting a pizza and went with the chicken cheesesteak with side salad and house dressing. Salad was great, the house dressing has a great flavor. The steak was great. Lots of meat and cheese, but not too much. The roll was equally awesome. Service was fast and I was checked on frequently. Now I must return for a pizza....

  • Sara N.

Young kids are certain to devour the pepperoni and cheesy pizzas, while grownups can equally enjoy the grilled vegetable and crab gourmet pies. Combining the tasty house dough and high-quality ingredients, there are dozens of different pies to try with family and friends. Outdoor seating in the cooled porch is a must during summer afternoons.

We have been going to Pizza Grille lemoyne for a ling time. It's always excellent. Best pizza in the area, great chopped salads and excellent subs. The staff is like family and is warm, and welcoming with speedy service. It's our "go to" place that we never get tired of.

I ate here with my mother in law and my daughter. We sat outside on the patio. Our waitress was not very friendly or helpful, and I also had to ask the busboy to fetch her at one point to refill our drinks. She didn't seem that interested in her job, but she brought our food in a timely manner. I also thought it strange that they don't offer a kid's menu. This seems like it should be the ultimate kid friendly place, but no kid menu, no crayons, nothing. It's weird. I ended up ordering the cheese pizza for my daughter, which she said was too spicy. I ordered the BBQ Hawaiian Chicken Pizza, and my MIL ordered the Cheese steak Pizza. Both were very good. I have no complaint with the food, but I thought the ambiance and service was lacking. I was also disappointed with the fact that they didn't have a kid friendly menu. Crayons would have been nice, too. I think I will stick to take out in the future.

The pizza is excellent! Something about that ooey, gooey cheese! It isn't a restaurant with a kid-friendly environment, they don't even have a kids menu, so stick with dining here with adults. Our waitress wasn't super-friendly or attentive, but she got the job done.

  • Megan Y.

My parents and I have been fans of Pizza Grille since it opened, and we enjoy both Camp Hill area locations. The upside of the Lemoyne location is the fact that it's BYOB. Last week, I had friends in for lunch, and I knew they'd love Pizza Grille. We all had different pizzas and we all came away without a left-over in sight. I'm a fan of the Margharita pizza, but everything there seems to be delicious. The service was great too. Our waiter un-corked our wine, kept up with our water glasses, and he was attentive, but not obnoxious. It's a fine line that many waiters don't quite get. He also wasn't pushy about getting us to leave once we were finished. We were able to have a leisurely lunch and talk for another hour. All in all, Pizza Grille is a great local place, and I love taking out-of-towners there. We don't have a lot of places like that in Central PA.

First let me say that this is a nice little lunch spot that I have eaten at on several occasions. The food is very decent tho not really exceptional. I was there with my 3y/o son and my parents. We arrived at around 12:30 on a week day so I expected a crowd but luckily we got a table right away. Shortly after we were seated I noticed one of the wait staff was seated at a table and eating which I thought was odd at that hour. Our waitress was friendly and we got our food promptly. However as soon as we were served our waitress and another sat down to eat with the other waitress. So now we had a restaurant with 10-12 tables sat and the entire wait staff is taking a break right in the middle of the place. I'm 41 and have been in a few restaurants in my time but this was the first time I have ever witnessed anything like that. So then we were ignored while they had there meal and lots of loud conversation between them. We were unable to get refills or order desert and i think the weirdest thing is they had a big bottle of Kraft ranch dressing on their table which isn't even served there. What does that say about the homemade salad dressings that the Pizza Grille uses? I was frankly astonished. Like I was watching a satire of some kind. But no it was really happening. So, in closing, the food is pretty good but the service is just plain weird. I don't think I'm going back.
