Love this bar! Smoker friendly, no food, and cheap drinks. Other than the cheap drinks, this might not be your place. But if by chance this sounds like a place you'd enjoy, you should come here! The bartenders are great (Bill is my personal favorite [4/16/2015]) and the patrons (mainly locals) are friendly. Would recommend for drinker/smokers.

Saw the name of this bar while grocery shopping across the street and just had to visit for a quick drink. This is a very small, divey type bar with an attentive bartender. The people I assume were regulars were friendly and, although they didn't serve food, there is a pizza place and a Chinese food place right next door for an easy munchies fix. I was surprised to see a man getting beaten up by three others a few months ago while driving by on my way home from work - doesn't really seem like that kind of place (but I guess all bars have potential). Credit cards not accepted.

Since my wife and I moved out to Lansdowne we have not been able to find a decent neighborhood bar that isn't smoke clogged or serving anything better than the big 4 US mega brews and their one German counterpart. Then, one a bike ride one day, I passed by Tipsy McStaggers, with a Yard's and Flying Fish neon in the window, I thought here's my place. Wrong. Same situation as ever, this side of the burbs. You can't walkin to this place and cut your stay short enough to keep from wreaking of smoke when you leave. Some might be okay with this, but my allergies, asthma and desire to not smell like an ashtray keep me away from these kinds of places. There's a certain clientele that frequents joints like this; older white dudes that are probably there every single day of their lives. They are angry, mostly that Deep Purple hasn't done a live show in the area in as long as it's been. The one good thing, serving more than the usual brews, probably isn't enough to get me to go back. In fact, when I was seen buying my 6-pack of Yard's IPA to-go, the guy that's adamant that Deep Purple is God yelled at me for not buying Budweiser. He said "why would you buy that shit? It tastes like shit. Why don't you just by Budweiser?" I said, "if I wanted anything like Bud, I would dilute some piss in some water." WHY ISN'T THERE A DECENT HAPPY NEIGHBORHOOD BAR WITH DECENT BREWS IN THE LANSDOWNE AREA? Oh yea, the Quakers have kept it a dry town. Boo hiss.

My friend and I discovered this place after work and have made it a weekly Tuesday tradition. The bartender Mike is an absolute doll. He is quick to refill drinks and extremely friendly. We decided to stop in because we thought the name was hilarious and we were pleasantly surprised! Mike usually asks us if we want to watch anything particular on one of the many tvs and turns up the speakers loud so we can jam to whatever we put on the jukebox. The beers are cheep and come overflowing in a nice frosty glass. We don't seem to be the normal clientele but we always feel welcome. Good times!!

My husband and I love the place!..At first he was hesitant but after he saw how laid back and friendly everyone is he relaxed. To best sum it up, it is kind of a dive type bar, and just like any bars there are regular drunks..but it's great for an after work drink with friends. The prices are awesome and the bartenders hook it up. Another reason it is nice is because they have occasional live music and if you get hungry, you have your choice of a pizza shop or chinese food right next door. There is also a new tattoo parlor that just opened up a few months ago :) If your spouse is shopping across the street @ the grocery store and then wants to also take the kids to the play ground right around the corner, it's a perfect time to catch some sports and grab a beer. What else can I say?It's easy to find parking even if it is street, there's usually some across the street or around the corner. And being that this bar only takes cash it's pretty convenient that there is an atm across the street.....You enter a place with a positive attitude and you get positive feedback....I'm not feeling that 1review @ all filled with a bunch of complaining...but to each his own- and by the way, although it is not huge inside the bar and does not have a dance floor, I dance anyway and always have fun there. If I had 1 wish, it would be that they remodel and use both the upstairs and downstairs...So that there can be dancing etc :)
