I went with a group for lunch. The service was very slow. I ordered the sashimi lover's special, which was entirely too small to be considered a meal. It is 13 piece is sashimi, but they are half the size I would expect.

Good stuff. Kani Kamikaze roll was awesome. Wednesday lunch service was quick and friendly.

The last few times we have gone it seems to be very unorganized. Not enough hibachi chefs or no chefs at all on a weekend. Management seems to be missing the mark. Unfortunately, they have lost our business.

I enjoyed the red snapper ceviche and the osakatini. Both were light and refreshing. Service was poor. Atmosphere wasn't quite right. I do not recommend the aloha roll.

Since my first visit, Osaka has grown on me. I'm now a regular and hope the staff has some wacky nickname for me like "grumpy tie-wearing man" or "tie wearing man who is grumpy." I've found that two real gems here are the tempura udon and the chirashi rice bowl. The chirashi has a really nice selection of fish, comes with free edamame and miso soup, and does a great job filling up a gargantuan man like myself for lunch. But here's the kicker that nobody ever saw coming - the tamago is fantastic. I've always passed up tamago as a side item and never take it seriously at all. With this chirashi bowl, I leave those two sweet, vinegary, eggy pieces for the very end. I make them wait and wait for their consumption so that we can all enjoy as much time together as possible before I turn them into my body. Since having this tamago, I've tried tamago at lots of other places, only to be drastically disappointed. tl;dr? Ok they have great tamago. The tempura udon bowl is solid. On the action-movie-parallel-satisfaction-scale, this place is The Lion King when I was 10.

Osaka is a great place for dinner. I have yet to do the grill yet but love their dinning options. The sushi is always fresh and always amazing. My husband loves their create your own dishes because you can get a little bit of everything. Definitely a family favorite. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because I have had slow service on two different outings.

two words: Kani Kamakazi. You gotta taste to believe. I am so grateful this establishment is in my daily travels. It's the best sushi in the Lansdale/Harleysville area. No offense to the other local & loved establishments, but Osaka has got it going on. Spoil yourself, it's sushi. Save the Hibachi for the kids.

The hibachi show was excellent, the service great and the food delicious. Especially enjoyed the lobster ravioli appetizer.

It's a great place with good food and a good show. We dined at the "grill" part of the restaurant and enjoyed the show the chef did. Expect the usual Japanese Steakhouse presentation with the onion ring of fire and shooting broccoli in your mouth. The kids really like it. The food is good, nothing exceptional, but what you would expect. We return often for birthday celebrations. It's a good place to go for a good meal at a reasonable price.

For the area the sushi rolls and selection of food are great. Nice decor and overall a cool spot. Service is not good, friendly but it took forever to get our food an no one asked how we were or if we wanted more wine. It's too expensive for bad service.

Awesome sushi! Very fresh. Owner and staff are very nice. The place was packed which led to a lil slower service than expected. However, the food was worth the wait! The rolls, sushi, and sashimi were all great. Dont forget the sake!! Ill be back soon.

Osaka is the best hibachi restaurant in the area. Hank is an amazing chef. Food was delicious as always. We will be back again soon. We shall not stop at nothing to defeat the wiggle piglets!

Rating is for Hibachi part of the restaurant. When I think of Hibachi Grill places, I usually expect large quantities and a good show. However, both were a bit lacking during my visit. I ordered the New York Strip and Salmon combo for $24. With tax, it came out to about $27. For this price, I'm expecting to get ridiculously full. However, To my disappointment, I left only satisfied. (yea yea.. im a fatty) Our table consisted of 6 people. Our hibachi chef was pretty decent in skills and entertainment. However, the lack of stars comes from the quantity and the awkward broccoli tosses they do at the end. My highlight of the meal is the fried rice. They added some spicy sauce to it which had a nice kick. Only flaw is.. why give so little of it! booo. I'm use to getting the rice and veggies first but rice came first, then the meat, then the veggies. The sauce they provided were average at best. Food was just okay and wasn't a ton as I expected. The awkward broccoli toss... So I saw that they did this at the table next to us... they save some fresh broccoli off to the corner of the grill and leave it until they are done cooking. Basically, after they are done, they cut up the fresh broccoli into small pieces and ask everyone to catch it in their mouth as he flings it with his spatula. This one guy at our table did not like broccoli but the chef insisted he try catching it.... So he caught it and spat it out... not once, not twice... but 3 times. Then the chef continued to fling broccoli to everyone at the table and would try multiple times if they missed. I could understand if they did this once to one person... but saving it for the end and throwing it to everyone... ionno. just seemed a bit tacky and the "fun" aspect of it quickly faded after the 2nd toss. Overall, food was decent but for quantity/price, i wouldn't get it again. I will try out their sushi next time.

I was really impressed with this restaurant! Great rolls available I'm a big spicy tuna fan so I had gotten the Hong Kong Dragon Roll and Spicy Tuna Crunch. Thought it was a bit pricey until I experienced the sizeable portions and high quality of the sushi. Skip the teriyaki chicken, my boyfriend described it as bland, dry, and over cooked. Would of been nice if the restaurant offered more than one sampler platter, $65 for one unknown chefs sampler seems pretty expensive while other restaurants offer similar sampler choices starting at $35.

Had my first dinner at Osaka, the first week they opened. Quality of the food is excellent as they really try to source the best fish possible as well as all other ingredients. Great concept of Sushi, Hibachi. Bento Box is a great deal during lunch.

I've had reason to visit family a few times this summer in Lansdale and have been taken to Osaka twice for dinner and once for Hibachi for a rehearsal dinner. This restaurant is tremendous! The wine selection is impressive. The atmosphere is young, eclectic and there is a very nice high energy there. I liked my Bento selections so much the first time, I ordered the exact same thing a month later when I visisted again. Not disappointed. Very nicely marinated chicken and shrimp. Spring rolls were refreshing. Vegetables were a touch over done but it's almost not worth mentioning becuase they were tasty. Hibachi was friendly and fun. My first experience with hibachi so I didn't know what to expect. It was a great show and the same impressive food quality! I really like this place a lot and would recommend it highly!

This might be my new favorite sushi place, although I'll have to head back to try additional pieces in order to be sure. What an absolute gem on the way to 476. Sushi is extremely fresh, all ingredients appear to be made in house (Ginger, etc), and the presentation is world class. I had the bento box with the chilean sea bass as well as the teriyaki steak, plus two rolls of spicy tuna. The steak was mediocre, cooked well, but not as tender of a cut as I had hoped. The chilean sea bass was fantastic. I'd skip the steak next time and double up on the fish. I look forward to coming here for lunch specials, as those bento boxes are a great deal for lunch. Strongly, strongly recommend.

I have only been to the hibachi, but man was it good. It is more on the expensive side depending on what you ordered but worth every penny. Guy working my grill was personable and cooked the food to perfection. Must hit place!!!!

We have been wanting to try this place for a while...with all the local Asian options we were hoping for more...the restaurant was empty and our appetizer came out after our sushi. We really like the special philly roll but found the price a little high for what we got. Overall I wouldn't go out of my way but it was fresh food.

I've been here two times and on both occasions I not only had a great time and great food, but I was amazed at how little people were there. That's partly why I'm leaving this review, as it's a fantastic restaurant with great service that honestly deserves more business.

We've been going to Osaka for Hibachi every New Years Eve for the last 5 years or so. We always have a great time, no matter the size of our party - which has ranged from 5 - 18. I'd agree that for the price, a little more food would be nice, or knock off a couple of dollars. Unfortunately, this year we were too close to the front door and my daughter had to put her coat back on to stay warm. The food was cooked nicely and our chef was very friendly - as we expected. We'll be going back.

Food was good portions small and expensive. Waitress was a sweetheart named Nikki made the experience enjoyable. I would go back even though the amount of money way greater then the amount of food

I eat sushi all over the world and find the Sushi at Osaka is competitive with some of the best. Especially if you go Omakase - leaving the meal up to the chef, most often off the menu. This is where the chef works at getting to know your tastes and creates stuff for your palatte. It's an interactive experience. At Osaka, it's been a consistantly fun experience and, because of Mr. Chung, my wife is now eating "raw fish." I've asked other sushi bars in the Philly market for omakase and, either they don't know what that means or, they panic and say they just don't do it. I've certainly had less expensive sushi but non that is as consistantly good.

Had a dinner here last week and honestly, OMG, one of the best sushi restaurants I've been to. I made a reservation through OpenTable and requested a booth if it was possible at night because it was on a weekend; luckily, we did get a booth! I'm more than surprised that we got it that night because most places will make excuses and tell you it is already reserved or they cant guarantee of giving us a booth. Food wise, everything was exactly how I was expecting it to be, all the fish we had was amaaazingly fresh. Dynamite roll and Honeymoon roll are very highly recommended! For appetizers, I also recommend, the lobster ravioli, this is probably the best ravioli you'll ever taste; there is plenty of sauce on this dish for every single bite you're having! I'm so happy and glad that I found an amazing high quality sushi in the suburbs that can be compared to most high end sushi places in the city! Best part is that you don't have to drive 45 mins to Philly, find parking and still can find the best sushi in town! This place is definitely a must try place! Also, I'm very excited to try out their Chestnut Hill location soon!

This place was VERY surprising! Nice atmosphere, great service and even better sushi! We stopped in for a light dinner. I got the Veggie Tempura roll (Asparagus & Yam) and their ginger salad. My husband ordered the Spicy Tuna roll and ginger salad. The salad was great. No iceberg lettuce here! It was a very fresh spring mix salad and the dressing was very good too, typical but good! My husband said the spicy tuna roll was very fresh and actually quite spicy! The veggie tempura roll was the best tempura roll I've ever had! With most tempura rolls I've had the tempura is always soft and room temperature. This roll have hot and crunch tempura. DELICIOUS! We will definitely be our go to place in the Skippack area!!

While this place is incredibly aesthetically appealing, I think their menu is lacking. I've generally liked everything I have ordered, but it is really pricey for the amount of sushi you get. I also thought they could use more variety on their menu. I've gone back more than once just for their exotic fish aquarium. Its never too busy, so I have always been seated right next to it when I ask.

I have a love story - my very own fairytale, if you will. After an arduous, daunting 400 (divided by 10) minute drive, my stomach was barren. I required nourishment...immediately. Surely I would starve, and in my exhausted attempts to reach water, the circling pterodactyls would eagerly consume my twitching remains. But there, upon the horizon, stood a warrior - my knight in shining armor. Osaka rescued me and urgently thrust upon me provisions of nourishment. Osaka bestowed upon me a fresh bowl of fresh miso soup, beautifully marbled and studded with bits of tofu, and warm edamame, perfectly salted, and sublimely green. Thus began the romance: first, a Chirashi bowl full of choice sushi and rice sticky enough to please any Asian youngster. The salmon, tuna, and other fish were fresh, buttery and pleasing. The tamago shined as brightly as the stars above Mount Fuji. Slightly sweet, not at all sopping, nor desert dry, this egg preparation could turn even the most cynical cooked yolk haters into believers. And I'm in love with Osaka. I married it. It's true. We went on our Honeymoon today. It was filled with crispy, but not oily, shrimp tempura, which nestled so kindly against a cooked asparagus stalk. And the icing on the cake? Salmon, ripe avocado and eel sauce rendered our honeymoon complete: an oddly creative, compelling roll begging for another bite. A fine romance indeed...

Tried out Osaka last night and it was completely amazingly awesome. I had miso soup (always have to get it!), Tamago Nigiri (sweet egg omelette nigiri), a roll with cucumber, shiso, umeboshi plum (SO GOOD), and a veggie tempura roll with fried yam and asparagus. Everything was just completely amazing. Usually sushi places just have your standard vegetable roll (carrot, cucumber, and daikon, maybe avacado if you're lucky) but Osaka clearly actually thought out some of their vegetarian items because they were just so good that a meat-eater would have been totally satisfied by them. For dessert, had green tea iced cream and my boyfriend had tempura fried red bean ice cream. Mine was just perfect as I was already full but the food was so good I didn't want to ever stop eating it. His was filling, but also insanely delicious. They somehow wrapped his ice cream in sweet cake and then fried it. It was the ultimate Friday night fattying out dessert. Also worth noting is that fact that the service was incredible. The waitstaff was attentive, but not annoying. Our glasses were never empty, as soon as we were finished with a dish it was taken away, and they were all just super friendly. It was an expensive meal (we both went a little sushicrazy), but it was completely worth it. You gotta treat yourselves sometimes.

I had been craving sushi since yesterday but due to the sushi king fiasco, that craving went unfulfilled. Which is why I was more than happy to pick up a takeout order here on my way home. i grabbed 2 spicy scallop rolls (fresh with a creamy, spicy sauce), a dynamite roll (love the scallop and unagi combo!), and the 4 entree dinner bento with the scallop teriyaki (great sauce and huge scallops), osaka ribs (tender but not that flavorful), chilean seabass (very good...I was kinda sad when the small portion was gone), and filet teriyaki (tender and nicely marinated). Service was fast and everything was packed beautifully. Can't wait to dine in but the takeout service and food is great.

Went to this place for the first time after hearing about this place from friends. The place looks amazing and has a nice fancy ambiance to it in the same vein as Ooka. It would be a great place to take a date. The atmosphere is really fancy and the staff is nice and attentive. In terms of accessibility, it can be a little tight when it does get crowded, which happens often. The doors are a little heavy too which makes it difficult to open when using a chair. It's best to go with company or bring your strong arm :) As for the food, it's really good. It rivals my favorite sushi place and that's something that I thought I would never say. The rolls are fresh, beautifully prepared, and taste great. You can't go wrong with any of the food here. The other nice thing is that they also serve alcohol here, and even have a nice selection of japanese beer and sake. The only negative that I can see is that it is pricey compared to other places. I can eat at my favorite sushi place and spend half as much for sushi that is just as good. Granted, I can't get alcohol at my favorite place but I'm not too worried about that. I tend to focus on the food and not the drinks. Overall, this place is a virtual tie with my favorite sushi place. I will be coming back to this place!

Went to Osaka again this past Saturday night. It was pretty busy but got table for 2 right away. I gotta say I was more impressed with everything from the waitress to the sushi. You have to get the stuffed tomato (its not really a stuffed tomato) and Kani Kamikaze roll. I would never have ordered it myself but a friend (TCFS) and I split some rolls and it is the BEST!

We tried Osaka for the first time with some friends of ours this past Saturday. I don't eat sushi but from what I heard from my husband and friends, the sushi was really good. Our friends received their entree about 10 minutes before us. Then my husband received his entree and I was left waiting another 10 mintues. When my meal finally came out it was the wrong cut of steak. I had ordered the Filet Mignon and a NY Strip came out. I took the NY Strip because I didn't want our waitress to get in trouble. But the NY Strip was awful. Tasted like char and water. You could barely cut thru it with a steak knife. My daughter had to spit out several pieces because she couldn't chew it. The worst part was that when we received the bill, the waitress still charged us for the Filet Mignon. I would have thought she would have at least changed this to what was actually delivered but she did not. We will probably not be going back.

Been here few times now, it is one of the closes Japanese food from my workplace (Lansdale). Its O-kay, i tried the hibachi section, and the seafood, like the white bass fish is a bit in the small side, but the steak is adequate. The other time i was there i got the lunch box menu, and its also okay, not big, a bit in pricey side ( i think it was 16+tip), and the last time i was there I'm in for unagi donburry, its in the small size, but pretty tasty small cut unagi.

As they say in life, you pay for what you get. That certainly rings true at this culinary oasis; cheap this place is not. But then again, do you really want your sushi to be cheap? I came here with my boyfriend for a special occasion. The interior is very well appointed and the food is delish. The owner even came out to greet us and was very generous and gave us great recommendations off of the menu. I highly recommend this place for their execution, fresh sushi that comes straight from Tsukige (sp?) and simply melts in your mouth. We will DEFINTIELY be coming back!

So how do I rate a restaurant who has excellent food, excellent value, but a piss poor attitude? Im not a difficult guy in a restaurant. I'm "an easy". i don't really ask for much more than respect and courtesy as I strive to give it as well. I work in the restaurant business, but being vegetarian, I'm limited to certain places where I can actually eat WELL. Osaka is one of them. I LOVE THE FOOD and the lunch menu is such a GREAT VALUE! But twice recently, Ive walked in there and been treated like an inconvenience to their "Reality TV ". Maybe the management has just made it a less than joyful place to work. Maybe the hostess and her fancy suit wearing side-kick feel its ok to ignore you until they feel like ending their dramatic conversation and then nod for you to follow them like your being marched into the principal's office. Perhaps their server training manual teaches that when you seat a group of people and the customer, in good spirits asks the server " Hi! How are you?!" that the proper response is "Suttin ta drink?" I'm a forgiving guy, especially when the food is good. But when I suggest a restaurant to friends and go out to spend a lot of money, I'm not looking to apologize to them after the experience. We'll take our business elsewhere.

This is one of those places that really sets the benchmark. I had been searching for a long time for a local hometown sushi restaurant that has the same high quality sushi that you would expect from a top name sushi restaurant in Manhattan. And the search ends with Osaka! We started the night off with the Maguro Tataki and the Lobster Ravioli. The Maguro Tataki was very good. The tuna was seared perfectly and the spices complimented the ponzu sauce very well The Lobster Ravioli was tremendous. We were expecting it to taste good but we had no idea it was going to be this good. The lobster mousse filling was beyond expectations and the cream sauce was oh so savory. For sushi we had the Kani Kamikaze and a special creation by the sushi chef that we decided to call the Osaka Sashimi Sandwich. The Kani Kamikaze is everything you would expect of a specialty roll and more. Words can not describe how much I enjoyed this roll you simply just have to go and try it yourself. The Osaka Sashimi Sandwich (not on the menu, name subject to change) were triangle shaped rolls. Imagine a sandwich sliced diagonally cut, the slices of bread would be thin layers of rice, in between the slices of rice was a special filling created by the sushi chef, and the sandwich was then wrapped in a layer sashimi. Each "slice" of the sandwich was a little bigger than a average sized roll so they were still easy to eat. The Osaka Sashimi Sandwich was an amazing display of the head sushi chef's skill and ability. This dish sold me on Osaka. Knowing that they have this caliber of a sushi chef behind the sushi bar is the only thing i need to know to have me coming back for more. The interior design provides a nice and relaxed ambiance that a sushi restaurant should have. They have a full bar with a nice large flat screen TV. Excellent selection of wine and sake. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. This is a Five Star establishment without the Five Star price. If you're in the Philadelphia area and in the mood for sushi make the drive to Osaka in Landsdale. You will not be disappointed!

I've been here a few times, usually for lunch or dinner with work colleagues. The food is always great, and very good service. Especially when we have a big group from our European office visiting, the Hibachi dinner is always a big hit, and something they don't get at home.

Been here 3 times. Twice for the Hibachi and once at the Sushi bar. The hibachi was pretty good. The chef, Hank, was funny and provided us with a very good show and dinner. The servers were attentive and really nice. The sushi bar also was very good. The fish was fresh and the price is ok. I know a couple ppl said the price is overprice but I have been eating sushi all over the place, from California to DC to Philly, and the price i think is pretty competitive. Do not order a la carte, if you have more than 4 ppl just order a boat, it will be much cheaper that way. Only complain is that the beer wasn't very cold and it's a little hot in there. The owner should turn up the AC a little bit.

Overly Priced!! I often eat sushi at Japanese restaurants in NYC and around Philadelphia...known Osaka in Chestnut Hill as well. But this place is definitely overly priced for what they serve. Teppanyaki was good with moderate price - this was OK. But sushi was...oh, too pricey for what you get...amount & quality. One plate - O-Toro...yes, I agree that not many Japanese restaurants around Philly serve this; but very tiny three pieces for $20?...and quality was more like Chu-Toro. All sushi pieces were rather small and thin... Kumamoto Oyster was served very unpleasent manner (too much spice) and was pricey as well. I don't normally eat American Style rolls; but ones my wife ordered were also small and not well-prepared - break off on the plate. Better off to visit at Chestnut Hill location for sushi. Well, one very positive thing was that there is very nice waiter (forgot his name - but from West Coast) serving there.

I ordered the Miso soup, N.Y. Strip & Scallops with noodles for $5 up charge from the Hibachi Combo menu & my husband ordered the salad and the N.Y. Strip and Chicken also from the Hibachi Combo menu. Our waiter wasn't knowledgeable about the menu items. When we asked him about the difference in size between the N.Y. Strip and the Fillet Mignon he said he thought they were both 10oz but wasn't going to go verify that until we said that we wanted to know for sure. He literally said to us "I just pulled that out of my ass. I'll run in the back and go check." which was a bad start to our first visit. Come to find out the Fillet Mignon was 4oz and the N.Y. Strip was 6oz, big difference! Our food was then prepared by the Hibachi chef, with a good show! Unfortunately, the food was not so good. We have had hibachi around the area before but nothing like this. The sauce or glaze they used is super salty and thick, it over powered the meat. They use sriracha sauce with out telling/asking you if you like spicy. The noodles I ordered looked like thick gelatin worms, something I have never seen before the texture of them alone about made me sick. We usually don't send food back but we couldn't even eat because the sauces they use were so over powering, my husband couldn't even tell if he was eating chicken or steak. The manager came over to us and I expressed how we felt about the meal and she kept saying "this is how hibachi is" we told her that we have been to other hibachi grills before but we have never experienced the food like this she just kept saying "I'm surprised". She offered to get us new dishes or something else, after I felt like I was trying to plead a case to her. They made our stuff dry with out the sauces. When the manager brought out the new food to us she never came back to ask us if it was okay or if we liked anything. The manager didn't seem like she wanted to help us which was also disappointing. We have had better hibachi around the area, which is why we will not be back.

I got here at 620pm and it wasn't even busy. Asked for hibachi and they told us we had to wait half hour. Sat at the bar after half hour they sat us down and left us at the hibachi table for 40 mins till my salad came out and the hibachi chef came out. I wanted to walk out 3 times but was so hungry. I ask myself "how can I earn ur business if I half to wait so long for this nonsense"

All I have to say is BENTO BOXES! My favorite is the Chilean sea bass bento boxes. the food portions are just right, it will satisfy you hunger and you wont need a nap when you are done. Easy parking, great severs, menu has a lot of choices and the price is right. When you tired of cheese steaks and pizza Osaka is the place to eat.

Best hibachi rice I've ever had!! The chef was really nice and very talented, we asked him to use less in our food and he did so, but he added extra soy sauce, I was fine with it either way because the food was delicious. I got the shrimp and my friend got steak and both were incredible.

Osaka is a decent Japanese steak house / hibachi in the Lansdale area. Located right off the PA turnpike, it is pretty hard to miss. As for the food, it's not bad. The sushi was quality. Not the best I've ever had and certainly not my favorite in the area, but I would eat it here again. I've also been for the hibachi which was pretty good. Overall nothing about this place blows me away, but the decor is nice, the people are friendly, and the food is quality.

We went to the dining room instead of sitting at the grill. There were four people in our party, and three meals came out together instead of the fourth. Our waiter delivered the fourth meal to the wrong table. What the waiter did next shocked us all. After we inquired where the fourth meal was, he realized his mistake. He walked to the other table explained what he did, and then brought the meal over to our table. He told us "It wasn't touched and would be fine to eat." We obviously refused that meal and asked for a new one. At which point he told us "the kitchen is very busy right now." We insisted on a fresh meal which was eventually delivered not before he offered the mis delivered meal back to the original table they also refused the meal. Needless to say we were not impressed. You expect these kind of things at a cheeper restaurant but not at one with these places.

This is my favorite birthday spot! The food is amazing and the drink prices are very reasonable. They have a great happy hour menu, and the best fried rice that you'll ever eat in your life! The sushi is fantastic, but hibachi is where is at. Great for the whole family!

I came here on Thanksgiving Eve because I had received a gift certificate for $100. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The rolls were delicious and everyone around us seemed to be smiling and enjoying their meals. For two people, the cost with tip came to about $75 (this included drinks and dessert as well). It was a fun atmosphere and I believe there was live music as well. We even chatted with the owner for a few minutes at the end of the night who was very friendly. We will definitely be returning soon.

Gyoza appetizer was delicious. Also had a spicy tuna crunch roll and a North Shore roll. Only complaint is the size of the pieces of raw fish in the North Shore roll. Too big to chew. Tasted the yaki soba with chicken which was very flavorful, but the chicken was a tad overdone and pretty dry. Overall a good experience and would return.

Happy Hour review -- 5 PM to 7 PM A friend wanted to show me how great this place was for happy hour. It was not. What WAS "great" was Christine, the bartender for the evening. She was the only person servicing the entire restaurant and busy bar at happy hour. And she is very professional, not overwhelmed, attentive and generally a nice person. An average beer selection, with some having happy hour pricing, and some not. What was a bargain was a top shelf martini for $6. You will not beat that anywhere. Now for the happy hour food, there is a small menu with, what looked like, an adequate selection. But to simplify the reality of it, there were no bargains here. Everything, although priced lower, was a small serving in proportion to a regular size. The old adage, you get what you pay for, about sums it up. For example, wings with thai sweet chili sauce were 5 wings for $7, that's over a buck a piece, and they were average at best, the best part was the sauce, the wing itself was small and chewy. The spicy tuna roll was small, not much to it in ingredients nor flavor. Nothing stood out as a do over. The fish was fresh, but in my opinion, nothing was special in prep nor flavor. Blue Fin in Plymouth Meeting has it all over this place for food. If it wasn't for the discounted martini thing, and the $3 drafts I would not see any reason to return.

This is a weekly staple for us. Great food, terrific service and a very laid back atmosphere. It beats any OOKA hands down.

I am an often customer, and adore this place. But my time there was always disturbed by a young man with spiked hair. Swearing and say inappropriate things. I have two young kids, and for them to hear this while at dinner is upsetting. The food is fabulous. (Sushi to die) And the rest of the staff are pleasant.

The shrimp and filet were good. Restaurant was simple and clean. Very quite even though it catered to families at 5 PM. Fried Rice was hotter than Mexican food. There is no warning for all the hot species. No real choice for the soup. Hibachi show was very good. We would go back sometime in the future now that we know about the hot fried rice. Service was good.

Stopped by for a quick lunch with my sister. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box. Everything was delicious except for the chicken. Im weird with chicken sometimes so it could have just been an off day for me. However, the teriyaki sauce that was drizzled on the chicken was awesome. You get a lot for this lunch special (I think it was between $12-$14). They give you miso soup and edemame as you wait for your meal. I will definitely return. My sister ordered the salmon bento box so will probably try that next time. Our waitress was also great.

I feel this place is a little overrated. I ordered three sushi rolls for takeout. They were small and heavy on filling. Good, not near great. I would try again and dine in.

Best hibachi I've had in quite a while. I had the chicken and strip steak combo with a ginger salad. My wife had some sushi that she described as wonderfully rolled. The chef was entertaining and quite personable. The meal surpassed my expectations. We will be headed back.

I've suffered from a sushi addiction, which has led me to many different Japanese Restaurants. Osaka is truthfully one of best I've found. The menu is unique and ever-changing. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. The owners and chefs take pride in their business and craft. The food is delicious and always fresh. The bar selection is perfect for any taste. Osaka is a secret that won't last long!!

This review is for the dining selection and not the teppanyaki. I ordered one of my all-time faves - chirashi. There is something that I just love about a good chirashi. I thought the sashimi portion on the bed of rice was somewhat small. The selection of sashimi was decent, but I was disappointed with the size of the cuts of sashimi. Usually when I order a good chirashi, the sashimi fully covers the bed of rice. This order didn't fit the bill. The freshness of the fish was good. Service was friendly and prompt.
