I love this place, their food is terrific and their customer service team is always very friendly and on point. They offer to carry order out to your car and accommodate special requests. Their pizza and apps rock, but we've also gone here for dinner. The seafood specialty is amazing.

The Pizza is the same thing you can get anywhere else. The appetizers are slim and somehow are more expensive but come with less then anywhere else nearby. The reason I gave up on them finally was because I stopped in due to craving garlic knots. Maybe it's because I'm a New Yorker, but I've never been to a place that takes more then a few minutes to get you knots. Usually because they are soaking in a bowl with garlic behind the counter. But it took me 10 minutes to get two orders of garlic knots, which ended up basically being burnt dough balls that maybe at one point had some garlic on them. How do you screw up garlic knots?

The pizza is mediocre, at best. Where this place shines are the sandwiches. I have ordered from Main Street quite a few times and have never been let down by the sandwiches. The chicken cheesesteaks are juicy and flavorful. The special sandwiches are well crafted and delicious. In short, skip their pizza but experiment with the specialty sandwiches.

My Catering experience from here was great! I'm a little confused with some of the reviews here because I had such a fantastic experience with MSP. I've never had the opportunity to dine here before, but took a chance by going on a friend's referral. She said she got the referral from her friend and was not disappointed. I had a 40+ guest gathering for a baby shower this past weekend and was a little worried on how the food would turn out, considering I, myself, never tried it before ( I usually order from Wegman's catering). But, fortunately enough, I was very happy with the choice! I had many of the guests come up and ask where the food was catered from, how they really enjoyed everything, etc... I ordered Vodka Penne (+ chicken), meatballs (OMG!!! they were a huge hit and not a single meatball left--we ordered the large tray, too!), caeser salad (yum!), garlic knots (maybe not the most ideal for social settings..haha), veggie tray, bruschetta (good!), caprese salad (could use a little more basil), and a large pizza for the kids...Everything turned out to be soo good! More importantly, the service was great! Stefanie, the Manager, walked me through the entire menu, was very timely in responding to my calls, and actually came out herself to my house to make sure everything was set up properly. I couldn't have asked for better service than that! I will definitely be ordering from there again!

My husband and I ordered delivery for dinner from the Main Street Pizzeria and Grill tonight. We ordered a hoagie, burger, 2 soups and cheese fries. The man who was taking the order quoted us $35! My husband said ok, then looked at the menu and discovered that everything should've only cost around $20-$25. He called back and talking to a different person which quoted the price of our order to be $24, that sounded more realistic. Our order arrived about 30 minutes later. The delivery driver was not given the proper check and quoted us $32! WTF Get your sh*t together guys and figure out how much things cost, unless you're trying to rip off your customers. The driver had to call the restaurant and get the proper price of $24 confirmed. We paid and tip the driver, then sat down to eat. The cheese fries were generic with cheese wiz, exactly what i expected. The italian wedding soup and clam chowder were ok...didn't really taste homemade though. The Northern burger my husband had was very messy and again, just ok. My least favorite thing was the Godfather sandwich. I had it toasted and asked for no onions or soppressatta and asked to add corned beef and romaine lettuce. The corned beef was cut too thick and was extremely flavorless. The sandwich was not nothing like what i expected and I hate to say it, but it was kind of gross. I don't know if the person taking our order had a vendetta against us, or if they messed with our food. But I definitely know that my husband and I will NEVER be ordering from here again and will NOT recommend anyone to go here.

I hate this place! I hate it! I hate it! And anyone who's seen my other reviews knows I don't hate restaurants, but this place must have been under new management since these last 2 reviews were done. Here's why I hate it so much. First Time ordering - I went there with a friend. Wasn't so bad except we ordered ONE pizza that took over 40 minutes to make. Why!? 2nd Time - Ordered for delivery & they didn't take our coupon. Why? "We don't take coupons anymore" Bullshit. Then why send us a menu the week before with coupons in it? 3rd Time - They put us on hold for over 5 minutes, and we didn't even call on a weekend. It was like Tuesday night or something. We called back and they put us on hold again. I know you're busy & all but really? Who are you talking to for 10 minutes unless you're THAT badly understaffed that you gotta answer the phone & cook the pizza too. 4th Time - We ordered 2 pizzas on a Sunday that first took near an hour for delivery. It was $28, but they took our $3 off coupon this time, (lack of consistency much?) so we only paid $25. We gave him a pretty hefty tip that made the grand total of $32 or something to the delivery guy. Not even 5 minutes later do we get a call saying, "Oh, you should have told us about the coupon before" AND wanted to send the delivery guy back to collect the $3!! Screw you, we gave you more money than your place every deserved. Never ordering from here again. Also, nowhere on their menu does it have expiration dates for their coupons OR does it say "Let us know prior to ordering if you have coupons" UNLIKE OTHER PIZZARIAS I'VE ORDERED FROM BEFORE that have such things listed on the coupons themselves. Another thing to business owners - Never have the audacity to call your customers after the transaction had been done asking for more money. Eat the loss. You should know how to handle your budget & pricing.

Very mediocre pizza--bland, limp crust, greasy... And the wings were mostly gristly with a flavorful but thin sauce that required re-dipping. Not terrible overall, but not memorable either.

I like this pizzeria/restaurant. It is in the heart of Lansdale, on Main Street. The workers are all very friendly, and the service is very good. I have been here maybe 4 times now, and every time has been a pleasant experience. The food is very good, and you get nice portions. It has a nice friendly atmosphere, and it also helps that it is clean. The decor is cute ... has a cute bistro theme. Also, they have coupons available. This is a big plus when you are on a budget. All in all, a very nice hometown feeling Italian Pizzeria/Restaurant, with great food. I'm a big fan.

We LOVE the Jalapeno Poppers here! They are really good, we've had them at a few other pizza joints around town and we keep coming back for these. We've never eaten in but have had delivery. They are accurate with the timing on delivery, but usually forget the "sauce on the side" part of the order. I also get the Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak from here as well I like it because the meat it good quality. I think they use real chicken breast and shred it up, you can definitely taste the difference. They also have good coupon deals we usually get in the mail and when the order comes they give more. We'll be trying other things on the menu to go with out poppers.

This is the nicest pizzeria I've been in the area. I love their rustic bistro decor. I've only been here a couple of times and always just for a quick slice with my daughter, but the service has been great and the pizza quite tasty.

Great margarita pizza! I would recommend eating there. We ordered delivery once and it took about 45 minutes and by the time we got our pizza, it was cold. If you eat there, the a/c is loud and depending on how close or far you sit from it, it's either too hot or too cold. Good great though!

My wife and I were there for dinner last week and we loved the dining area. I had the veal saltimbocca and my wife had the eggplant parm. I can tell you that I've eaten in many fine Italian resturants in many major cities and it was one of the BEST veal saltimbocca meals I ever had! My wife also loved her eggplant, It was not oily, thin and grilled to perfection. The gravy and pasta were both delicious. If you came here years ago these are NOT the same owners and I can say that it's worth another shot!

Never ordered pizza but we dined in on a rainy Tuesday night. It's Byob which is great. We got a 2/$20 combo which came with an appetizer and two entrees. The pierogies were fantastic! I got the penne alla rose which was totally to die for. My husband got chicken parm and it had a ton of chicken!! Definitely our go to Italian place in Lansdale! Edited 2015: finally ordered a pizza. Margherita. Also ordered the mussels appetizer. Both amazing. A local fave for sure!

The hardest part of moving to a new town is trying to find the best pizza place. Main Street Pizza is not it. First of all, it's pretty expensive for what it is. We ordered a plain "medium pizza" (it was a little bigger than a Pizza Hut Personal Pan Pizza) just to see what their sauce, cheese, and crust were like, a medium veggie pizza, and some wings for my boyfriend. The bill was over $27 somehow. The wings were blah. Just normal wings and nothing special. The pizza was pretty bad, though. The plain was flavorless and dry. I think they might have just baked it too long because the crust was pretty hard. It was like chewing on vaguely salty greasy cardboard. The veggie was better, but didn't really taste like much of anything, either, and it wasn't dry like the plain: it was downright soggy. The crust was all floppy and you had to try to support each piece like a newborn baby so all of the toppings wouldn't fall off. Summary: Too expensive, and the pizzas are way too small, but that might be a blessing because they don't taste like anything anyway. Lansdale Pizza is still the best pizza in the area.

Run hide, save yourself! Is that enough of a warning? The pizza here can be okay, it can also be just about the worst thing you've ever eaten. The consistency is just not there especially if you're ordering delivery. Though don't try to say anything to the owner. If you call and say "um I just got a cheese pizza but I ordered this special" he will ream you out, call you stupid for not knowing what you ordered and will refuse to give you your money back or a different pizza. Not exactly the way I want to finish my night. STAY AWAY if you know whats good for you. There is far better around here.

During hurricane Sandy they were open and were delivering which was awesome because no other place was. Not only did they charge us for extra ranch but as always they did not deliver. This is extremely disappointing as we paid for these items and did not receive what we paid for. This has happened on many occasions and the only reason why we ordered from Mainstreet was because they were open. Totally unorganized and would def not order or recommend their establishment to anyone as they are a true disappointment!

I read the reviews here and have honestly never had a problem with Main Street. I get takeout there quite often, food is quite good and I am actually a fan of their pizza. I usually order the Buffalo Chicken pizza, and find it to be very good. The calzones are made right, even when we asked them to alter the sandwich a bit. No problems, and nobody yelling at us. We have never gotten delivery though, so I cannot comment on that. We have eaten inside once and found it to be very good. We had a small party of only 2 people, so it was a pretty simple meal. Service was fast, waitress was very nice and attentive, and food was done well. No complaints at all. I have never seen all the problems people seem to be reviewing them on here, maybe I have been lucky and not had to complain about anything, or maybe people have personal issues with them. I am not sure, but I have nothing against Main Street Pizza and will continue to eat there until I see any of the issues others are writing about.

My husband, my daughter, my mother and I went here on a Restaurant.com certificate. This was our first experience here, takeout or delivery. The only thing nice I have to say about the place is the decor, and our waitress, Stephanie. The hostess was extremely rude. She was rude and abrupt from the second we walked through the door, she seemed extremely annoyed when I gave her the number of people in our party (the restaurant was pretty full). She saw the restaurant.com certificate in my hand and asked when it was purchased, because if purchased after a certain date they are no longer honoring them. WHAAAAAAT?? I purchase something to your restaurant and you won't honor it? I should have walked out then as this tells you what kind of place it is... but our cert turned out to be okay. We got a booth fairly quickly, only waited about 10 minutes. Then I caught the hostess rolling her eyes as my 71 year old mother slowly made her way to the booth and inched her way in, because we were seated in a heavily travelled aisle to the kitchen, and there was staff waiting to get by. It was the type of place from the minute you walked in you felt like you were an annoyance. My Mother got the chicken parm platter, my daughter got a cheesburger off the kid's menu, hubby got a cheesesteak, and I got the California Burger. Their burgers come with NOTHING on the side, you have to pay extra for that. So I got an order of fries, and they suck. The waitress brought all our food out except for my mom's chicken platter, and that came out a good 5-7 minutes after the rest of our food. My 9 year old's burger (off the kid's menu) was on a bun so big she couldn't even get her mouth around half of it. I had to take her burger apart and rip out half the bun (along with half the cheese) so she could eat it. Oh and they do use a kid size burger, so you have to do arts and crafts on the bun before your kid can eat anything other than bread. Then I went to eat my burger, and I did notice that it was cold, but I just thought that was because I had spent so long on my kid's burger. After a couple bites I realized my burger was extremely rare. Around this time was when my mother's meal finally came out... and I figured if I sent my burger back I probably wouldn't see it again until everyone else was done their meal, so I said screw it. We will NEVER go back. If you are looking for a good pizza place in Lansdale, good service and friendly staff... go to Frank's. Not saying they never make mistakes but they make them right, without attitude.

I like the slices. They usually have a decent variety (including BBQ Chicken, Sicilian and White, which are my three favorites besides plain) and I think the in store slices usually taste better than when I have gotten a whole pizza delivered. They also have garlic knots which are oily, but delicious. Some of my friends really like this place, so I am surprised to see all the bad reviews. I always just sit in the front to eat a slice, so I can't say anything about the servers, but the pizza guys and the people working the counter are usually pretty nice.

This place falls prey to the same traps as almost every mediocre, run-of-the-mill small town pizza place I've ever been to. Being a vegetarian, I ordered the vegetable grinder, and it was devoid of flavor. The vegetables had never been graced by the presence of a hint of salt, and it was covered in a blanket of completely bland cheese, something I didn't even know existed. Cheese is just fat and salt, how could it not have any taste? The only saving grace was that the bread was really fantastic bread. But seriously, a vegetable sandwich is not rocket science. We also ordered tiramisu, which took twelve minutes to come out. I remember because we were a bit pressed for time. Our bad and all, but since when does it take twelve minutes to cut a piece of tiramisu? The restaurant wasn't busy. It wasn't a traumatizing experience eating here, but I wouldn't go back.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
