Diabetics at TGI Friday
If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.
Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

About TGI Friday
TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.
Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.

Seriously, I don't know what happened to TGI Fridays? It used to be a nice place to hang out with friends and have a decent bite to eat. Now...it's just disappointing... I was there on a Friday night, right after work for dinner. I went to the bar to have a drink while waiting for a table. Before even ordering my drink the snippy little barmaid asked if I had a reservation. I didn't think it was any of her business...(her job was to ask what I wanted to drink), but anyway...being the considerate person that I am, I said yes, I'm waiting for a table. She then proceeded to take her good old time but finally brought my beer. After waiting 20 minutes which wasn't long...we were seated. First off I ordered a salad as an appetizer..the waitress brought it to our table and began to walk away. I stopped her to alert her to fact that we didn't have any silverware. She looked around then grabbed some from an empty table. Finally our food arrived.and another disappointment - my boneless chicken looked like one big mess...it was just thrown on the plate..sauce dripping all over the sides, burnt pieces of breading piled on top and no celery or any kind of garnish. (Awful presentation). My Niece ordered a medium well petite steak...it was so red in the middle it looked like blood. And of course the food was lukewarm. Needless to say....I will not be going back again.

BBQ Flatbread was excellent, so qas the bruschetta however, potato skins practically raw. Excellent service.

We decided to try dining in at Friday's tonight as I've eaten there in the past and must say we probably caught them on a bad night with the ToGo problems. The overall experience was very good. We started with the pretzel sticks which everyone enjoyed. The beer/cheese dip was very nice and had a good smokey quality. For the entree I had the Dragonfire Chicken with pineapple salsa and jasmin rice. Very nice glaze with a pleasant heat and sweet kick to it. My wife had the parmesan crusted chicken with tortellini. She was very impressed by this dish and gave it high marks. My Long Island iced tea was delicious and VERY reasonable at $4.00. Not quite the amount of kick I'm used to, but at the price of $4 you could get the desired effect with two of them. Overall a very good and redeeming visit.

My wife and I both had cobb salads. It was not bad. It had grape tomatoes some eggs bacon avacado romaine lettuce and grill chicken with some blue cheese. The price was 8 in change each .To be honest with you I don't think it was worth it for the portion that they gave you. My son had the mac and cheese on the child's menu. It it came with one side dish you can order he had the french fries it also came with a drink. He said that he loved it. My daughter had the grill chicken skewers with pita bread from the kids menu. It also came with one side dish and a drink she had the a mandarin orange as a side dish. She also said that she love the meal but from the looks of the portion it was not enough to fill her. They had a very nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I would recommend this place but the prices could be a little bit lower from my standpoint.

Great happy hour. On Thursday nights $3 margaritas and $3 appetizers. Every night is different. If you need a break while shopping at the mall, have a skinny blackberry margarita and beef and cheddar queso for a nice $6 break!

If it weren't for our waiter I would only be giving this place one star. We have a two year old and bathroom trips are very frequent, so I am judging you on how clean your bathrooms are. And unfortunately as I was walking in a young women was uncontrollably throwing up. For whatever reason this isn't the first time I've walked in on someone throwing up in a restaurant bathroom. And for me it's extremely uncomfortable and disturbingly gross. So we haven't even made it to the stall yet, I can feel my flip flops sticking to the floor as I am walking. To finish off our bathroom experience my child decides not to go after sitting on a very unclean toilet for 3 minuets. So needless to say I could not even fathom eating my dinner after that.

Chains are chains are chains... but there are some places that just have above\below average management, right? Well, if you agree, then this Friday's could possibly fit into the category of below average. I confess - I do go to chain restaurants fairly frequently (bad, bad Yelper award!!!) I go out with groups of people and chains are usually the crowd pleasers... you know how it is... ANYWAY - I've been to this Friday's possibly 6 or 7 times and it consistently fails to meet up with the basic average experience that you would get at any other Friday's. The food is fine - I LOVE everything on the Jack Daniel's menu... but for some reason I haven't always received the best service... The one time that sticks out to me is when my wife and I were sat directly under the air duct and we sat there FROZEN. We asked to be moved, but it was too busy at the time - which I understand, but they didn't seem to try very hard... oh well. Bottom line - if you're stuck at the Park City mall and need to eat - try Longhorn, Macaroni Grill, or Damon's. Better yet, save yourself a few bucks and check out the diamond in the rough I call the Pan Pacific Grill - review here: yelp.com/biz/pan-pacific…

My father ordered a medium steak was served WELL DONE TGIF burnt the chicken on my fajita....How can you mess up a fajita?? They did. My mother ordered the fish and chips and it the fish looked like the frozen fish sticks you buy from the grocery store. Not ever going back.....OH, and the beer was flat.

A good place to eat while at the mall and have a beer.

Not to good, not to bad ...Ok... We went in for lunch at one o'clock on a Thursday. We waited at the door for 5-10 minutes before getting seated in a half full restaurant. Service was a tad slow. Although the waitress was very friendly. The food was decent for its prices. I ordered a turkey burger and crispy green beans. The burger was pretty juicy but didn't blow me outta the water. The quality of the food seemed good and left satisfied.
