They have some great breakfast items here and the staff is usually very nice. Biggest problem is if you don't get here before the church crowd does on Sunday you'll have quite a wait. If you head here for breakfast I recommend the home made corned beef hash but trust me, that's not the only thing that is worth a recommendation. If you haven't been here for breakfast yet, you need to try it.

If you're old and have no taste buds, this is the place for you. The food is NOT good and overpriced. The staff is very friendly though.

One of our regular breakfast spots was closed so we decided to try Silver Spring for the first time. I wish we had tried it sooner. The food was awesome and the entire staff was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the Silver Spring omelet and my wife had a breakfast hoagie. The food came out really fast and the omelet was on par with some of the best I've had. Looking forward to going back to sample more of the menu.

Great place for breakfast. Has added some delicious choices in addition to time tested favorites. Well worth the drive.

I do breakfast here at least once a week. They do a nice biscuits and gravy and a few unique specials like a Spanish omelette and a Tinga enchilada. The latter is a pulled chicken in a flour tortilla covered with sour cream and feta. Some specials like these only available on weekends. The line can be out the door but seating doesn't take long at all.

Great food and great service! This is one of Lancaster county's best places to eat!!

My party of five waited over 45 minutes for a table and never got one. Service was awful and staff was extremely rude and unorganized. They didn't take names for the waiting, only size of the party. The older lady (owner?) was so mean. NEVER go there again.

Drench anything in butter and cheese and it should be tolerable to eat. This is the general sense I got after eating dinner with a party of 5 here this evening. I ordered the special flounder of the day which was heavily saturated in butter, oil, and cheese slathered on top of some sautéed spinach and chopped tomatoes. French onion soup was extremely salty and almost balsamic tasting. The relished beets tasted like they were definitely straight out of a can with some simple syrup mixed in and basil for an extra weird taste. Probably the best and only decent meal by far was my sons kids meal which was cheese quesadillas - pretty hard to mess up. The fries for his side looked like cardboard. The 2nd star is for the chocolate ice cream that came with his meal... But ice cream is also pretty hard to screw up. Prices were at least decent. Canned vegetables and cardboard fries aren't expensive.

I've eaten here many times to know what to eat, but honestly, I do really only have one complaint about the place. Now, usually I order the fried chicken here because the batter they use for it is really sweet, but the problem is the size of it! Seriously, why is the chicken so small in the first place? And as well, the size of some of the other things, like the Corn Nuggets. I love corn nuggets, but they only give you 5! This time though, I got the Country Fried Steak, which was ok, but not the best I've had, I think that goes to Bob Evans. It usually a nice place to eat though, and the food comes relatively fast. If you want a good cooked meal, come here.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this charming place on our way from Harrisburg to Lancaster. We love breakfast and are always looking for great places that have a friendly atmosphere, great food, and inexpensive prices. It's exactly what we found here. We were probably the youngest in the crowd, but that meant that our meal wasn't disturbed by crying children or yelling parents. I highly recommend this place for the amazing breakfast foods. The portions are great for an inexpensive price. I had french toast and sausage, and my boyfriend tried the pumpkin pancakes. Both choices were incredible. We're going back again to try the other breakfast options, but I have no doubt that satisfaction is guaranteed.

Best breakfast in Lancaster county, by far! We've been enjoying this spot for years. I'd recommend trying out.

Great little spot with a diner type menu. Prices were very reasonable. Felt like a place that locals stop at. We all enjoyed are meals. Service was really great.

Nice atmosphere, is obviously a local favorite. We tried it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We luckily got there at the right time, and only had a short wait to be seated on a busy Saturday morning (about 10 minutes). The wait can be quite a bit longer if you get there at other times. We were seated by a friendly hostess, and our server was excellent. She chatted and joked--but not in excess, and her timing and expertise was right-on. The food was good to not-so-hot. My husband ordered a cheese omelet with mushrooms and sausage, and said it was delicious. The home fries were tasty and crispy, as requested. On the other hand, I ordered the creamed chipped beef. I realize this can be a hit-or-miss breakfast item--but thought I'd take a chance here, since my craving for this had been building for some time, and I had a hunch it was likely to be good here. Wrong. It arrived on the chilly side, and nearly solidified.... WAY overly thickened. It was edible, but not much beyond that. I did not complain, but vowed not to EVER order this "delight" again. (I have since had it elsewhere, where it was delicious! Review pending :-) ) The weirdest thing here--and only unpleasantness--was the odd attitude that verged(?) on ill will that the main hostess demonstrated toward my husband. An older woman, attractively dressed; she seemed to be someone who had worked there for a while, as she greeted many of the regulars who entered. But, as we were being seated and walked by where she standing behind the counter near the register, she caught my husband's eye and GLARED at him--for what reason neither of us has a clue. Perhaps she had him confused with someone else? (We are not originally from this area, have never set foot in this restaurant before, nor encountered this woman anywhere.) Imagination? No. Our hunch was confirmed when she made the rounds in the area in which we were seated, refilling coffee from a pot to EVERY table in our vicinity--with the single, notable exception of OURS. . What gives? I don't know if she's always there--sure hope not!. At this point, I'm hesitant to return, and it's unlikely we will.

Very friendly staff, breakfast at 3 pm was amazing. Omelets served as big as your face! We used the Yelp online coupon for one appetizer with two entree orders. Can't imagine that we had two delicious meals, with an appetizer, and coffees, all for under $20.00. We found Silver Springs Family Restaurant on Yelp. They could use a bigger sign :) Highly recommended.

Had dinner here with the family and it was okay. The food wasn't spectacular but it was good and definitely home cooked. We ordered the zucchini fries think they'd be baked or somewhat healthy but they were cooked like mozzarella sticks an not good at all. The salad was huge chunks of lettuce and tomato. My crab cakes an my husbands burger were both good. The place is adorable and feels very homey. Our waitress was very melancholy but adequate. It seems like breakfast may be this places 'thing' more than lunch. Overall, it was an average home cooked meal.

When you walk in they treat you like family. Cute atmosphere. Good cooking. Great breakfast and they have wifi. They want to please you and it shows! If you get there on the weekend and there is a line, don't panic it goes quickly. 10 minutes at the most. Best gyros around.

I feel like the Waffle House on Lincoln highway is much less "blah" way more positive energy then the one on dillerville road.. I do feel like they go through employees like you go through toilet paper though lol Good food all and all

When we walked in it felt like a diner. They were very welcoming to our family of 5. Food was great, everything tasted freshly made. I had a flank steak and it was perfect size and flavor. Sides were great, we tried mini potato pancakes and zucchini sticks. Price was good, service was better. This is a great find, a bit off the beaten tourist path but well worth seeking out.

We were at Spooky Nook for a field hockey tournament and were looking for a good place to eat with the team. Great home cooked meals. Extremely friendly service. Would go back. Locals frequent.
