Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This is a stop I make whenever I am working in the area. Great drink selection and the panini's are fantastic. The workers are friendly and knowledgeable. They have tv's and will play the free UFC events when they are not having a band play. So if you're into the UFC call before and check if they have a band playing or not.

They just finished a major expansion, so I think they are still having growing pains. But the food is excellent from the cheese steaks to the pizza, not to mention the excellent beer collection. They could have sign there whether to seat your self or not. We are always confused prices are good and this is a great neighborhood place

Went there with four friends and told we would be served shortly, we waited for 20 minutes and were not served. We got up and left and called them back to see how long the wait was, and they said that there was none. Would not recommend, since they clearly did not want to serve us. They took us for fuck boiis so we left.

The prices for to go six packs are so astronomical here it's comical. I walked to the fridge saw the prices, almost gagged, and walked out. I drove across town and got the same type of beer for half of what this place was charging. Save yourself time and don't even walk in here

Wife & I went for a beer & quick sandwich. Beers seem over priced, especially those in the cooler. Had a Italian Steak sandwich & 2 beers. Sandwich was okay, but light on meat & sauce. Had to ask for more marinara. The place was not busy at all. They'd best get their act together or they will be replaced by more competitive competitors.

A very mixed experience. Beer selection good. Friendly and attentive wait staff (place was empty). Pizza sauce and dough was the highlight. Sauce was very tomato flavored and a touch sweet, perfect for pie or sandwiches. Toppings however are a different story. Sausage was tasty but obviously bulk frozen from a commissary. Veggies not cut uniform, affecting cook. Inside of boli was cool to cold, crust exterior right = oven too hot or ingredients kept too cold. Cheesesteak was OK. Chicken Parmesan spaghetti was very good (sauce). Some things are great, others off. Will give a second visit soon to see continuity

Food here is good enough, it's priced on par with every other pizza joint around. The service here is absolutely abysmal. My family and I call and get take out frequently because my wife really likes their pizza. They frequently get our orders wrong, or even worse never bother processing the order so when I show up to pickup our food it's not even been made yet. In house service is just as bad, with the servers being as slow as can be, and the beer selection insultingly priced. Avoid this place if you can. The service is bad, and the staff is unapologetic about it. I've seen what I believe to be the owner several times and it's obvious why the staff is this way, it trickles down. Avoid this place at all costs if possible, save yourself the heartache. The food and atmosphere isn't good enough to be treated this poorly.

Not our best experience. Came on a pretty slow Friday night. I ordered a California Cheesesteak and my husband ordered eggplant parm sub with the sauce on the side. Eggplant came out with sauce and I got a regular Cheesesteak. My husband kept his, while my sandwich went back to the kitchen to add the California. 20 minutes later I got my sandwich. Had to ask for napkins and silverware, which I finally got from the bartender myself. On a positive note...the beer was good and the sandwiches were tasty. Wish the service had been better and we could have enjoyed our meal together.

Great beer selection? Yes. Service? God no. However, this was the worst service experience I've ever had. Granted, we were told that it was our server's first day, but it took over 30 minutes to get asked for our drinks/orders and over 30 minutes AGAIN to get our checks. We were there on a Thursday at noon for lunch. Not exactly busy time. If it's someone's first day, have someone there who can simply split a check. There were 9 of us on 6 different checks. We each got a sandwich and a couple bottles of beer. Not crazy hard to keep track of. They had to call a manager in to figure out how to split the check. At one point, our server even said "if one of you wants to volunteer to figure out the system, be my guest." The other server (who had more experience I guess?) gave us attitude when we seemed to be getting somewhat upset that it was taking 25 minutes to get us a check. I've never been more appalled at a lack of service. I MIGHT come in here to mix a 6 pack, but I'll never EVER be eating here again.

First time here. Staff was very informative about their large selection of beers. Very friendly and fast. Had the meat lovers pizza and hot wings. Fresh and delicious! The atmosphere was casual and clean. Very modern decor and lots of space. They even offer live entertainment 3 nights a week.

Great place for a slice of pizza and almost any type of cold beer you desire. Friendly staff and good service. My biggest complaint: the hours are not clearly posted and seem to change depending on the day. More than once I have been there at 730 pm, 8 pm, 830 pm where the staff is mopping the floor by my table with a disinfectant cleaning product. I'm trying to eat here. Can it wait until after you close, whatever time that is? I recommend Highland for food and service, just go early.

The ability this place has to be amazing is obvious. Craft beer selection is great so no complaints there. The real issue this place has and if they don't make it right - they will not be around is their horrible service. Don't order take out and expect to have the food ready anytime soon. I waited about an hour for take out and even then my order was incorrect. The cashier was extremely rude and instead of making me a fresh pizza or trying to make it right - she asked, well what do you want, a free pizza? Seriously? You screwed up, not me. I never once asked for a free pizza, but some common courtesy would be nice. She took back the pepperoni pizza I did not order and the cook removed the pepperoni and placed pineapple (my original request) and did not reheat or anything. She tried to convince me it was a fresh pizza but you could clearly see the shape of the pepperoni that were removed! Bottom line - the service sucks. They don't value their customers despite the fact our family frequent the place and spend hundreds of dollars. I will never visit this place again. Oh and if you decide to dine-in, be ready to wait at least 20-25 minutes for drink refills or even place your order.

The Food and Service is improving! Our large Pizza, w/ almost everything on it, was excellent. Before the move to their current location, Highland pizza was just grease on a cracker! I hope to update my review to Four Star's after my next visit.

May 14, 2014. Walked in at 6:25. Waitress took our order right away. 7:15 waitress tells us that she is sorry our food hasn't come yet but they got an order that was big and do not have enough kitchen help. She said they wanted the dishwasher to cook but he doesn't speak good English. She offered us disgusting mozzarella sticks for free while waiting. 7:30 people behind us who came in 25 minutes after us got their food. Needless to say we walked out. They have expanded but are not prepared for the volume of customers. oh and btw the addiction that was added was done very shoddy. Not covers on outlets, the stain on the tables was done sloppy. Even the tile on the walls where put up badly. To think they would ask the dishwasher to cook. That did it for me. I will be telling my co-workers who frequent there for lunch to think twice. Doug you are the owner. Can't have a restaurant that is bigger but run poorly. You will run it to the ground.

Let's start with the positive: beer selection is great. We ordered pizza and for pizzeria being in the name, it was just okay. The crust was very well done, almost burned. We were there on a Wednesday evening (7pm) with only two other patrons and the service was very very slow.

Food was okay-we did wings and quesadilla's, so the pizza may be best to order. We will try that next time. The service was wonderful, very attentive. Kid friendly. but the reason to go here is bc of the selection of beers, they have a great one, and prices are decent. We enjoyed eating there and having a few beers, taking a new one home to try. Looks like they are expanding, so others must feel the same!

I am surprised at the low reviews here. My wife is from NYC and knows her pizza. This is some of the best pizza in town. The crust is perfectly crunchy and chewy, and the sauce is very good. The beer selection is outstanding and service is good. The bartender knows his stuff. And our waitress took our orders without even writing them down and made no mistakes, the two times I did eat in. Usually we take out and they have been reliable.

Everything a bottle shop shouldn't be. Take some notes from "the fridge" if you want to run a successful business.

We always get the Buffalo Cheese pizza. Last time they seemed to try and change a cheese pizza into Buffalo Cheese pizza and it was terrible. Ask for them to make another. The replacement was made correctly and was good. They also used to have a draft beer list at the tables which was nice, they don't do that anymore. We won't come here as much because of this experience!

So I started bringing my friends to highland bc it was a nice place to watch the game. Every time we came we orders a lot of food and drinks and some times got the $1 cheese pizza deal for football Sunday. This week we were charged 1.80 and told by the manager that we have to buy miller lite to get the $1.00 slice. It's just .80 cents but this is dirty.
(1)Kim N.
!!! FALSE ADVERTISING !!! They have a sign which says $1 plain pizza slices and when you get your bill they charge you $1.80 a slice! I don't care about the extra 80 cents, but the fact that the manager did not budge and said "you have to get a Miller Lite Pint to get the discount" was uncalled for. No where on the sign does it say you have to get a Miller Lite in order to receive the pizza discount. Another thing is, we bought plenty of other foods and our drinks were majority bottled beer, if not beer on tap! Also, we had quite a few items ordered that never came out! We were gracious and let it go, yet we were treated as if we were "cheap customers" who only wanted their 80 cents a slice back. It's called "principle." We were regulars here and have always praised Highland via social media and word of mouth, but after today, we are done with Highland. OTHER PLACES THAT ARE GREAT: The Fridge - great owners and they have an awesome selection of beers and their gourmet thin pizzas are AMAZING Sluggers - best "NY Style" pizza with great prices for such huge slices and the owners are great Salt & Pepper - great owners, great food (they make their own bread) and pizzas!

Great pizza place! And not badly priced... For 6 people (2 large pizzas, 4 cokes, 1 draft beer, and a water) it was only $39.00!

I sat at the bar and the service was terrible. My food was cold but I ate it anyway and didn't complain. On the positive side they do have a huge beer selection if you're into that. My advice to them would be to get a friendly experienced bartender, that can handle the dining area and the bar. RB
