This is a great place for a casual meal. My favorite is the Breakfast Special - two eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast. (For you potato connoisseurs, by 'home fries' I mean pan-fried potato chunks with the skin still on. I think it has different names, depending on your state of origin!) Pierce has good sandwiches and desserts as well. My girl friend thinks their Reuben is very good eats. The service is fast and the staff are super nice. If you want a quiet atmosphere, 10-12 is usually good for bringing your laptop and using the wi-fi. There's an open area with booths and tables, a smaller room that's better for a business lunch, and an open lobby with artificial ponds. Parking on the Pierce side is kind of crowded but there's always space behind the building between 2nd and 3rd avenues.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I used their online ordering for delivery of 4 hoagies, and I specifically said no onions. I received my confirmation email which was also itemized (and said no onions on all 4 hoagies) with an approximate delivery time of 35 minutes. An hour later, I check the website and still not out for delivery. At this point, the kids are starving and we are tired of waiting. We call and tell them we will just pick up the hoagies ourselves ( even though we were already charged a delivery fee) We get them home, I open them up, and low and behold all 4 are loaded with onions. I call and complain, (deathly allergic to onions) and the girl said they would make new ones. I sent someone to pick them up. He gets there and they tell him they will only make 1 new one. They also said it's not their fault because that is not was sent from the website on their end. They also wanted the the other hoagie back in order to get the new one. First of all, I could've been killed because of their mistake. Again DEATHLY ALLERGIC to onions. Secondly, it is not my problem that your place of business, which has online ordering, does not talk to each other. On my receipt and itemized copy it said NO ONIONS on all 4 hoagies. Thirdly, to ask for YOUR mistake back in order to receive the new one is DISGUSTING!!!!! What were they going to do, resell it? After all of that, I couldn't even eat the other hoagie for fear that someone had done something to it (spit in it.) There was not once an apology for making a mistake, instead they tried blaming me for their error. I don't know how that dump is still in business. I would NEVER EVER in a million years EVER give my money to this place EVER again. I cannot stress that enough. If you do choose to give this establishment your money, just know that if something is wrong, you are out of luck and money.

I had heard my mother talk about the Pierce Street Deli for years. Before my father died, the would go there for lunch occasionally. Now she stops by whenever she has a doctors appointment. (All of them seem to be right near by.) I never thought much of it, but after a bus ride up from Philly (I took the train from DC to Philly the night before), I gladly accepted her invitation to go here before I picked up my moving truck. Needless to say, I was impressed. Most of the independent delis I've dealt with in the past few years have been complete disasters with food that at best hit mediocre. I hadn't been feeling well for a few days, so I decided to try a club sandwich. Needless to say it tasted great, and didn't make me sick. It's hard to give a place like this a complete review from one visit, but I'm comfortable to recommend it to people. My only complaint was that they were out of rice pudding.

Today we stopped here on our( my mother and father) to my fathers eye dr appointment. The atmosphere is pretty typical for a deli, coolers against the wall with various beverages. They do have a Pepsi fountain machine with white birch Beer :). We hit it around lunch so it was crazy busy. I ordered a pastrami on rye. It was delicious, I'm a minimalist I just like meat and bread with a little mayo. The meat was tender and just the right amount of salt. My mother had the same thing, my father had a hamburger, it looked homemade, by that I mean formed by hand and pretty thick. He said it was very good. They come with a side of either. coleslaw or potato salad. I don't eat potato salad, I know I know, the coleslaw we pretty good, fresh and crunchy veggies with a light mayo dressing. Balanced the saltiness of the sandwich. Also came homemade pickles, very garlicky, which I enjoyed. It's not as sour as most people would want but for me it was different and unique. Prices are pretty comparable to most other delis. Over all a very good experience. If you're in Kingston give it a shot.

Not bad. The deli is park of a block of offices and the dining room opens up into the middle of a interior courtyard with coy ponds. This is kind of neat, but a little awkward. The food is good, but nothing special. The service is pretty good as well.

Love this place!!! Terrific breakfast panninis, excellent wraps and I just love the turkey reubens! They will deliver for larger orders and the service is always friendly and prompt. Plus their pickles are to die for. Free wifi and a really relaxing atrium to sit in. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

I booked my bridal shower at the deli and had really high hopes for the place. I had heard a lot of good things about their food and I loved the setting of the gallery. I reviewed the catering menu on their website and emailed the owner to make sure online pricing was accurate ($14/person) and that everything was included. (I had priced a few locations that did not include table linens and one that didn't include drinks!)He emailed me back assuring me that the packages were perfect as they were and that there were no hidden fees or surprises (his words exactly). So after visiting the deli for lunch we decided to book it. We had some issues in the beginning that I now realize were warning signs I should have picked up on. No catering menu to look at or pick from, everything was done verbally. We were required to give a deposit but never received a contract of any kind and whenever we had questions we were always told we need to speak to Ken but he was never there. Well one week before the shower while my mom was going over the final details with him, he presents her with a bill for $18/person. When she asked him why the price was so much higher than we were quoted she was told that they charge $3 a person for table linens and napkins!!!! Are you kidding me?! Not once during any of our conversations was this fee ever disclosed. When she brought it to his attention that we had an email from him stating it was $14/person no surprises or hidden fees he refused to stand by his email and basically didn't seem to care what he had quoted us. To top it all off he tells her that he booked another shower for the same day as mine and that my guests would have to use the back entrance! Afraid arguing with him would make matters worse instead of better we decided to just let it go; we couldn't do much about it when the shower was only a week away. We were still hoping everything would go well. So a week later I get to my shower to find there is no parking for my guests the lot is full because of the other shower started earlier than mine did. Then I found out that my fiancé's sisters and mom tried to surprise me with a coffee bar only to be let down by Ken once again. They asked him if they could have Starbuck's come in and set up a coffee bar but he absolutely refused. He said if they wanted one he would do it for them for $3 a person. They told him they wanted coffees, cappuccinos, flavored syrups and powders for them both. He said no problem.......Let me tell you what the coffee bar he did consisted of....A large urn of plain Coffee, cream, sugar and a few flavored syrups. He basically charged them $3 a person to set the coffee (that was included in our $18/person) up on its own table. Needless to say they were furious when they saw it and immediately went looking for him. Once again they were told he wasn't there. I could go on and on about the issues I had but these were the ones that made me the maddest. I will say the food was decent and the rest of the staff was VERY nice. However the bad far outweighs the good in my experience. I don't write many reviews and I don't do it often. I only do it for very good experiences and very bad experiences. I am sad to say this is the latter. I am so furious with the lack of professionalism that I knew I had to write something to feel better. Hopefully by sharing my experience I can save someone the aggravation of being blindsided by the surprise fees and the lack of business sense.

Not bad. Friendly service, but I wasn't wowed by my sandwich. I'd consider coming back to try the homemade mac and cheese, but I think I'll stick to circles or beer deli for my meat and bread fix.
