does not even deserve the ONE star...maybe a half star. Just left there (sunday night 12/28) was there for end of eagles/cowboy game. came from a WWE event at Giant Center with my 12 yr old son and his friend.... Food sucked!....asked for two grilled cheese sandwiches for the boys. simple order...one with the bacon that came with it and asked for the other to have the bacon just put on the side. there was no soup so we got tater tots instead.....well that was a real hard freakn order!! not only was the one sandwich cold nd tater tots cold, my son's came with the bacon on it and ws also cold...then they said they would reheat it and fix it...well that took another 10 minutes and was also wrong! Cold, uncooked 2 pieces of cheese and cold tater tots and no bacon!! Then they finally gave him his 3x reheated sandwich, forgot the bacon, tots were freakn cold....and then they triple billed me...wow what a shitty place! I guess they feel taking care of kids is not important because they are not loud stupid yelling drunks.... so bottom line, if you have a place to eat in this town near Hershey Park DO NOT WASTE YOUR TINME GOING HERE, they didn't even take anything off the bill as i complained nicel to them about the food etc so bottom

Awesome menu, good food, okay beer selection (a lot of local stuff) but awful service. With a full bar of over 50 people they only had one person working...all three times I went there. Come on!

I had dinner at the bar this evening and it was amazing! My bartender Jennea was awesome. She was friendly and helpful in suggesting drinks and food. She was very attentive. She made sure that I got my drinks ordered before happy hour was over. The food was absolute delicious. I ordered skinny wings and Crab & Shrimp Alfredo. The wings were hot, fresh and just enough sauce. The Alfredo was plentiful and very fresh. I think this may be one of my favorite Arooga's yet!!

I had great service and great food. After first arriving to the bar I was greeted right off by the bartender. The food was great, even better than some other locations, the display/plating for my app was excellent, clean, and had vibrant colors - for a bar that is usually rare. My meal, while larger than it needed to be was very good. I was able to get two (mixed) drinks, an app, and a full entree (not just burger) for under 40.00 including tip great value for this tourist filled area. Disclaimer: I work for a company in the area that also has restaurants- this review is clearly my opinion alone.

If I could give them no stars I would. My wife and I stopped in here on Super Bowl Sunday. The main reason we stopped in was because we had a gift card to use up. Unlike most of the country we don't watch the Super Bowl, and I was kind of hoping to get in and out before it started, but that didn't happen. When we got there we weren't sure which door to go in. As you enter through what looked like the correct door, we noticed a line of people at the bar, so we tried the other door, and it was a line of people trying to leave... So we went back to the first door. Once i pushed past the line at the bar we noticed the hostess station. They weren't all that busy, and we were seated fairly quickly, but that was about the only good point. We sat for sometime before the waiter finally came to our table. When he finally came, he was dressed kind of sloppy. I noticed a lot of the other waiters and waitresses were dressed like sports officials, but not ours. He took our drink order, and then we waited for our drinks, and to place our orders. While waiting I noticed that all the tvs but two in the room we were in were tuned to the Super Bowl channel, and I heard a waitress for another table tell her party that when it hit game time they would all be switched over. I know it was Super Bowl Sunday, but they could have left at least one TV on something else, since the whole place is wall to wall TVs. But once the Super Bowl started we ended up having to watch it until we left. Once the waiter came back I had a question about the steak I was thinking of ordering, and that was can I get anything other then broccoli with it. His response, "what would you want?" Well, of course since we've never eaten there before, and I couldn't find sides anywhere on the menu, I had to ask what they had... And the waiter's answer, "I really don't know what else we have." And he stood there looking at me dumbfounded. So I finally decided to just have it with out any broccoli. When the food finally came out, the steak was pathetic. It was smaller then the mashed potatoes, and there was no size listed on the menu, so I guess I didn't know what to expect. I asked for it to be well done, and it was barely well done. In most places I would have sent it back, but I just wanted to eat and leave. So I paid for a full meal, and didn't even get enough food to fill me up. My wife did get a lot for her meal, but said it wasn't the best either. Once we had out meal, our waiter never came back to check on us. I could have used a drink refill, but until he came back I was done eating, and just wanted to leave. So my wife just asked for the check. Well, the Super Bowl had started about five minutes before this, and can you guess what our waiter was interested in, it sure wasn't us. All he wanted to do was watch the TVs, and it took almost five minutes for him to bring back out check. Once we finally paid, we made a quick exit, and don't plan on ever going back.

My food came out wrong. Instead of making me new nachos they took it back and slapped new stuff on it. It came back out ice cold, and still not even right. Our waitress was clueless, and we had to ask for every little thing, like napkins and water. By the time they changed the TV channel to what we requested, we were ready to leave. Also, the "huge" cookie pizza, is enough for 1 or 2 people. The pan is wide, but extremely shallow, and also left a tin taste on our mouths.

We walked in and there were a ton of tables open, some dirty, some clean, but there was a 15-20 minute wait. We get people make reservations, but it was excessive. There were three hostesses- one was decent, one had no idea what was going on, the third was completely miserable. We got the miserable one. She didn't say "come with me", we were just supposed to know to follow her. She didn't say excuse me through the crowd, she put our menus on the table (I'm sorry, she threw our menus on the table), then walked away without say anything, like "enjoy your meal". My boyfriend walked back to the bathroom and there were at least 7-8 waitresses huddled around a computer, applying lip gloss and smearing it on with their fingers. These are the same girls who touch your plates and possibly your food. The waitress was the only decent part of the experience. She was efficient and friendly, except she was using an Applebee's order tablet to take our order. Finally, I understand this is a sports bar, but we counted over 50 televisions. They COMPLETELY lined the walls and hung from the ceiling. I like the sports bar atmosphere and I like to be able to choose whether to look at a tv or not.....this place gave me no choice. I'd look at my boyfriend and be forced to see moving images behind his head. It was overkill. The two stars are for our server and the food was okay....

I went a little bit before lunch time and it was slow. The waiter was nice but not around when you needed (plus texting and chatting with co-worker). The food was pretty good but the sampler had too much fries and not that much of anything else. Wing are good. I got the Mac and cheese burger it was good. I have one been in an Arooga's once and it was another location and I didn't like and now since I went to another Arooga's in another place I know one thing. I am not going back!

My wife and I were very sorry we came here. The food was terrible. The wings were not very hot (temp). i got the Tiger sauce and the Kangarooga (which they say won an award). the tiger was ok, but the kangarooga was bland and boring. The Blue Cheese was watery, like they were trying to make it stretch. i only ate two of the Kanagrooga. I love wings and i am not sure i have ever left any wing uneaten before, i guess there is aways a first time for everything. My wife got the Cheese stake and opted for the loaded fries option. loaded my butt. i think there may have been one piece of bacon on there and a sprits of cheese. My wife said it seemed to her like they had cut up a hamburger patty and put it in the roll. I tasted it and totally agreed. it wasn't finely chopped up stake like you would expect but big pieces. we had been to the Arooga's in Camphill a few years ago and i remember a better experience. Sadly we will not be back, too many disappointments for us to give them another chance.

I've been to the other Arooga's locations because I love their wings (especially the dry rubs and extra crispy). I visited this location and ordered my food for carry out. My call was answered right away and I didn't have to wait long. The person that took my order was very friendly and walked me through the order process making sure to ask how I wanted my food prepared. I was also reminded if I needed any utensils or extra sauces/condiments. When I got to the restaurant, I went to the bar to pick up my food. My order was ready as soon as I got there and I didn't have to wait. The manager and bartender on duty were very friendly and helpful also. I was in and out in no time. The food was delicious and my wings were crispy and full of flavor! Thanks for a great experience!

Went there on 4/24, regardless of reviews, but it was within walking distance of my hotel and I wanted to drink. The bartender was pretty cool, friendly and always noticed when I needed a refill. The food was meh, I got mango habanero and it came out pretty quick, but was missing a lot of the heat I was hoping for. Decent food, cool bartenders, only down was I did notice the waitresses didn't seem to care which seems to be a recurring thing according to the other reviews. Other than that, if I was in town again and had the desire for some alcohol and food, I'd head over again.

Went here last night to watch the game with a few friends. We have been here quite often but last night was a terrible experience. The night started okay, however as the night progressed, everything went downhill. Around 10PM, for some god forsaken reason, they decided to blast music. The music was so loud, my friends and I were practically shouting at each other in order to hear each other. We came to enjoy the game and talk, but we were only able to accomplish one of these since the music was so loud. Now if the music was good, we would not be complaining too much, however the DJ was not very good. We were on the verge of leaving many times, however since we didnt want to miss any of the game, we stuck it out for the rest of the game. The only positive (and the only reason I did not list this as 1 star) that we had throughout our night was that our server treated us very well and was very accommodating. We asked to get the music turned down a little, however, they were unable to do so. There were several families that were present and everyone looked clearly annoyed that the music was so loud and noone was able to have a conversation properly. If you want to watch the game, spend time with friends, or socialize, this is probably not the place to go. The music was louder than most clubs and it was kind of ridiculous.

My experience here left me not wanting to ever come back. Food all frozen then fried, pints a quarter short, and waitresses who are downright unpleasant. Although I like the name...Arooga's...it's like the old timey cars, you push the horn, and they go "Arooga...Arooga". LOL someone at Arrogas is a jolly jokey cause that names the best. "Arooga..Arooga..meep..meep". Oh you guys are a hoot. Or is it the noise your large male customers make all night after eating your food? "Arooga...arooga" "Hey was that an old timey car going by? "No that was me tooting"

Had a great time here on Sunday night. We were in the area and were looking for a place to watch some football that had a good beer selection. The beer selection was decent with a good variety of styles on tap. We had the perogies for an appetizer and they were delicious. The wings were tasty and the cheesesteak was delicious. The service was great during our visit. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

I took the kids to Hershey, PA and visited a local Arooga's with the family. With all the negative reviews, I almost didn't walk thru the doors (My kids were looking it up on Yelp on the way there). When we arrived, we were seated and greeted right away...The food selection was good. Casual, clean and the food was great and reasonably priced! I'm glad we went!

Great sports bar in the Hershey PA area. Plenty of TV's to watch the big game. As always great food. My only negative comment about this place is that there seems to be no parking. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to any sports fan visiting the Hershey PA area.

I was a little hesitant to come here after reading the reviews, but the outside of this place was appealing so gave it a try. When i first walked in I was overwhelmed by the size of the dining area, and the length of the bar. It was lunch time and the bar was empty so we sat there. We were greeted by a friendly, but not overly so, bartender. Our drink order was quickly filled and i was sipping on a fresh berry Mojito. The menu is a book!! Huge!!! And i am a Libra so I have a hard enough time making a decision. But we picked several small items to share. Everything was tasty, hot, and quick. Trivia at the bar was fun, too. Overall i cant find anything bad to say. Just wouldn't call it perfect for 5 stars. Will go again, though.

Not a favorite of mine. Boneless wing special had dry meat. Extra charge for carrots and celery and another extra charge for ranch or blue cheese. When I asked if I could substitute a salad for the fries on the crab cake I was told yes. When the bill cac me I was charged $3 for the salad. That is not a substitute in my dictionary. To the restaurants credit they took off the charge and the salad was good. All in all I would not go back

It was just okay. Nothing fancy. We happened to be in the area so we stopped to try it out. The wings were the best part. I got a a buffalo sandwhich and that wasn't anything special.

We had dinner here last night for 2 family members birthdays. The service was extremely slow. I asked twice for a kids menu and finally had to get up to get it myself. Our waiter would just dissappear for long stretches of time, and there was barely anyone in the place. The manager saw us desperately searching for the waiter at one point and came over to take care of us. She was very friendly and attentive, but our service from the waiter did not get better. The food took forever to come out. I ordered a signature "mason jar" drink that was not served in a mason jar. Ha.The drink was good and the glass it was served in did not change the taste, but I think it is a lack of pride in your business when you are ignoring your own advertising. The food was not horrible, but nothing to rave about either. The outside of the place looks great and inviting. However, the inside felt somehow run down. I would not go back or recommend this place. But because the people were friendly, albeit slow, and the food was edible...I gave it 3 stars instead of 2.

Recent changes in the beer list, food menu, and Happy Hour offerings, have made Aroogas a less interesting choice than it once was. Too many tulip glasses and not enough wing sauce choices (among other menu changes) have encouraged me to look elsewhere. If I were the management at Arooga's, I would be looking over my shoulder at a certain famous Pittburgh - based establishment that just opened a location in York. There's some serious competition there! Good Luck! Andrew - Thanks for your comments of 7/22. I have edited the review based on your response.

Not sure why ratings are so low. I guess most people come in here expecting 3 Michelin star level service and food. Went on Monday for ayce wings(11.99 + beverage) a pretty good deal for a big boy like myself. As a chicken wing connoisseur, the sauce selection is enticing ranging from the spicy mango habanero to the buttery garlic parm and offers the traditional bone in as well as boneless and skinny. It also came with endless fries, which were par at best but it's there to snack on while finding your second wind. Service was great! Refills were done often, orders for next batch of wings were taken quickly and came out promptly, and I really appreciate it when our waitress was busy a member of the kitchen staff came out to deliver our food rather than leaving the food left to die cold waiting. Only thing I would recommend is to include ranch/blue cheese if you're gonna require a beverage for the ayce. Highly recommend if you're with friends who need a place to watch a sporting event. There's tv literally everywhere, no blind spots. I will be coming back... Tonight w the parents.

DO NOT GO TO THE BAR. If you see a bearded bartender, leave or ask for a table with a server. He will ignore you! We've been to this bar 3 times for events or meetings and the bartender is always too "busy", even when no one else is there.

Wish I could give less stars. We were seated and waited 15 minutes before leaving. No one came to get our drink orders or appetizers, nothing. We watched another couple come in after us and were seated and taken care of with in minutes. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back here because of the poor service. There were only 2 people in our party as well.

Pathetic all around. We had to flag down a waitress for service. She was clearly not trained whatsoever -- not even familiar with club soda! The food was low quality, small in portions and grossly overpriced. There is a complete lack of commitment from ownership to customer service. It's truly insulting.

Came here for a friend's party. Wasn't able to stay long, but in the time we were there, I did order boneless wings...very good. I will say that I think a lot of Arooga's different wing sauces taste the same which is unfortunate, but good as usual.

Awkward experience with a bartender here. I asked a question about a certain local beer and the brusque response I received was in the form of another question. Wait, what? I don't speak this language, but perhaps locals do, so enjoy.

Based on a good experience at another location, my family went there between sessions of the PA state wrestling tournament. What a disappointment. One of our party had his meal come out 30 minutes before the rest of our food. We requested a fresh meal for him and what they brought was wrong. Several of the meals were wrong and it took 15 minutes for our drink refills to come back after being requested. We are still waiting on our appetizer. Thank goodness it wasnt on the bill. Huge disappointment.

Been here one time! Service was bad. Hopefully owner is reading reviews and doing something about it. I've been to all the other Arooga's and they are all ran a lot better then this one.
