Great atmosphere. All the employees and owners are so friendly and accommodating. I've told many friends about this establishment.

Had never been here and decided to have a dinner date with a friend and try it out. We walked in the door and were immediately hit by the disgusting stench of stale cigarettes. It was dark, dingy, and unwelcoming. Nothing matched and nothing looked like it has been cleaned or dusted in years. Table was sticky and covered in salt. We didn't stay long enough to even attempt to have a drink or food because we were so grossed out by everything. I wouldn't even go here as a dive bar option.

Shady? Yes. Creepy? No. I would have never known that this bar existed unless my friend told me about it. And, thanks to Yelp, I was able to get directions to this "shady" little inn. But, although it is isolated from the main roads of Penndel, it certainly is not vacant. What a surprise to find the bar packed and alive with karaoke and plenty of people ages 21 to 70. There's the bar area, an upstairs with pool tables, a well designed patio, and then the outside (which, unfortunately, we were not allowed to peruse, but I hear there is a killer horseshoes setup). What really sold me, however, were the Inn's drink specials. $1 Yuengling before 12am! Vodka tonics for only $4! Shut up, I know my drink selection is meager, but the Colonial's is not. Definitely checking this place out again. Oh, and apparently they serve good food?

This bar has never been my favorite and I think that's because they allow smoking. Whenever I leave I smell like an ash tray and it never seems to be worth it. Most of the time I wish I just stayed at home in bed like I normally do when friends of mine go to this bar. It's a shame because the environment is nice and the service is good too. They also have killer French fries and onion pedals.

A little off the beaten path but not a bad place. This is more a bar that serves food than it is a restaurant. That being said, the food they serve is good. I've been here a few times now and tried different things and I have yet to be disappointed. The staff us friendly and efficient. I'm taking one star off because they allow smoking.

After a long day of kayaking the Neshaminy Creek and loading the boats, I stumbled on this (what appeared to be from the outside) intimate "Inn". Two Stars - simply because the Two waitresses that were working this place were hustling their asses off. Aside from that - this place has nothing more that potential. It is located off the beaten path, with amazing views from the green, plastic, Walmart, Sun-bleached, contact paper covered patio furniture. Service was extremely slow (not because of the waitresses), because of the slow, lone bartender; who was simply worried about the local old-timer's $2 tip that he would get at the end of the night. The menu was extensive and seemed reasonably priced. However, this joint is reaching way beyond it's competencies. Smoking is allowed indoors. We managed to get seated on the deck. We ordered a couple iced-teas, forever had past; then we ordered wings and potstickers, the end of time had passed, the we order our dinner... My girlfriend ordered cobb salad with spinach. I ordered boardwalk sausage sandwinch with creek fried. Christ returned, gathered his chosen and left us in this god forsaken establishment. Your jailhouse cook has no clue what cobb salad is. The house salads looked better. Not even a leaf of spinach in there, a pinch of bacos (enough)... subpar single sausage link (the size of my thumb on 10" stale roll), creek fries, when the sauce finally made it out - I literally had 8 fries left, tasted like someone went to Chickie&Pete's dumpster drain and filled up a gravy boat. Instead of listening to the rumble of the falls, all I could hear was the grumble of the patrons within ear's distance. I'm pretty certain the owner/manager was busing... as the busboy was also fielding every table's complaints. If I was an octopus, I'd wish to be a squid, so I could give you 10 thumbs down. Phuckin' Shit Show!

Dean Casmirri's Colonial Inn is well off the beaten track and lies along a now stagnant creek, beyond this you will not only hear but see the beautiful white water falls of the Neshaminy River, which can be viewed while dining on their upper back deck or the lower patio, scattered picnic tables are spread throughout the grass. The Inn, which is no longer an Inn, dates back to the mid 1800's and much of this shines through with the well built exterior, very deep window sills with tall bead or cord drawn windows, antique mirrors adorn the walls and the ceilings kiss the roof with their aged yet beautiful lighting fixtures. Now, I have just painted a picture of days gone by, where weary travelers tied up their horses for water and feed, grabbed a good bite to eat and a room with a bath, drawn from wells or the river... Step it up folks, recently renovated dining areas going with the times, a huge curved bar is what greets you with screens showing your favorite sports, high or low tables to grab some of the most incredible homemade food and drinks that will not empty your pockets! The servers are relaxed and dressed casually in t-shirts and jeans shorts, but they are on the ball and so excited about your being there, we had Brittany and she was very personable and so willing to please! I noticed regulars walking straight through and out to the deck and a server was right behind them. The grub; we started with the very best clams casino you will ever have, seriously, they tell you this on the menu and it is so true! The whole clams are very tender, and loaded with thick pieces of bacon, peppers, onions, spices and would you believe roasted carrots diced, unbelievable and truly awesome! They need to teach other restaurants how to make crab stuffed mushroom caps! Firm caps over filled with a delectable lump crab meat filling, I'm not kidding, chunks of lump crab fell to the plate and that in itself was an appetizer AND their creamy crab soup was the culinary delight, magnifico, outstanding and very inventive! What they did, I'm purely guessing, but chunks of lump crab meat and I do mean lots of chunks of crab meat was served in a thick rich broth which was a cross between a Newburg and a bisque and then to top this all off it was served the way a French onion soup would be with a layer of a very good cheese covering the top of the crock, I'm bummed I do not have any to eat as I'm typing this and one of the many reasons I will return! Along with our entrees came a soup or a salad, hubby had a very crisp and large salad and I opted for the soup Du jour which was a fresh cream of spinach and mushroom soup, whoever is in charge of making the soups in this restaurant is my hero and a real pro, hubby said yuck when I ordered it and when he took a bite, I had to slap him to keep him from finishing it! Okay, I hate to do this, but I am now taking what is a five star review down as the entrees were a real hit or miss... We ordered three entrees, yes we did, I wanted to taste as much as I could, I just wish we had chosen differently, hubby had one of the daily specials which was a shrimp and andouille sausage over dirty rice, four shrimp, one piece of sausage cut into nice sized chunks and served over a very good rice dish which was definitely made from scratch and very good. Hit, but chintzy on the sausage and shrimp. Shrimp parmesan with your choice of pasta, I had angel hair, good sauce, pasta cooked to perfection but the shrimp were burned and I do mean burned. They were not dried out, nor did they taste too overdone, but the burned taste of the fried shrimp maybe hitting too hot of a pan going into the oven sang through. Plenty of shrimp, would not order this again, although maybe it was a one time thing, it should have never been sent out to serve. This is my real bone of contention, I adore pot roast, I grew up on it and hubby hates pot roast, therefore I do not make it and how many restaurants serve it? Yay, they have pot roast... NOT! I was so excited, pot roast dinner with mashed and gravy or a hot pot roast sandwich ( and that is how it read ) served with a rich hot roast beef gravy with hand cut fries and more gravy! It was the lousiest shaved roast beast, fatty, no where near chunks of tender pot roast and with cheese on a bun? Hello, where is the gravy? Isn't a hot pot roast sandwich served on bread with real pot roast and covered in this rich gravy? The sandwich was a really big let down, but after we mentioned the shrimp were burned and nothing was done about it, I kept my mouth closed. The hand cut fries are awesome and hey I got rich brown gravy with them! My dessert was a good homemade rice pudding, rice was al dente ( ? ) and no raisins, but lots of cinnamon. An ATM inside, a few electronic games including darts and they have music and game/trivia nights. In all honesty, the appetizers, hand cut fries and the soups were 10 stars!

Went last night hoping to have steak but was talked into a 'pan fried' crab cake meal. What I got was 2 deep fried mostly bread cakes. A big disappointment. I ate here once before and their burger was good. I guess that's what to expect from what is mostly a bar.

Late night food, inexpensive drinks, awesome karaoke, cool staff...awesome place. Off the beaten path so hard to find at first, but it kind of added to the allure of the place. I'm not a smoker, so sometimes I avoid this cool spot because it's one of the only places left in the state where you can still smoke, and I don't always want to be in that atmosphere. On the flip side, I like to come here with my friends who do smoke because they are usually more comfortable.
