This place is a absolute good! A few times a year, my friends and I visit Hershey Park, and Dukes is always our first stop. In fact, all of our meals we have during our stay are here. The menu is HUGE with big portions. $10 pitchers of beer (and low as $5) is another plus. All the food is fantastic (get the Crab Pretzel!!!). Sorry, we are fans of this place...can't be helped. Visit Dukes, Dukes, DUKES!!!!

Typical Pennsylvania restaurant with classic American fare. The salad portion was larger than what I wanted for a lunch, but that is expected from most restaurants around here. The chili was tasty, but it could have been a bit less greasy and cheese covered for my taste. On the other hand the fries that came with my boyfriend's sandwich were quite good. Can't complain otherwise as the food met my expectations for a restaurant in this area. The menu was large enough for even a picky eater like me to find a few options.

I had the opportunity to stop in at Duke's for the first time this weekend on a visit to Hershey with the kids. I was impressed. Very large and diverse menu with lot's of specials to boot. Food was very, very good. The only problem I had was that they had 2 servers for the entire diningroom. As good as they were it keeps me from giving a 5 star rating. It could be that they were unprepared for the wrestling and basketball tourneys going on. Again not the servers fault. Otherwise a must.

An avid goer of the New York strip and Delmonico steak. Better than Texas Roadhouse ...... any day! Just sad the service is consistently poor.

Dukes is a sports bar/restaurant near Hershey Park. Half of it is a bar and half of it is a restaurant. It's very large, has outdoor seating and a lot of parking. They have a kid's menu. The food was fine. The service was underwhelming. The server promised to get us fresh coffee but the coffee was full of grounds. I don't know if it was fresh or not but it was odd. We didn't bother sending it back though.

For those of you within a 3 hour car ride of Hershey, PA, you MUST take a trip to Duke's Bar and Grill for a breakfast/brunch that you will not soon forget. As a self-described pancake connoisseur, not even I was prepared for all that this place had to offer. Flat screens all around the dining room and ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BLUEBERRY PANCAKES! That's about all you need to know. Everything was plentiful and so delicious. Duke's serves huge cups of coffee and hot chocolate...and before bringing our meals, the waitress gave us each (including my 6-month old nephew) a warm cinnamon bun. My bro-in-law and I had only one regret...we were only able to finish 2 pancakes. Too bad we didn't know about this place as college-aged students. I would have made a detour on the way home from Penn State for a stack of what I consider perfect pancakes.

we tried this place recently and loved it. the best thing we ordered was the tomato florentine soup. it was the best tomato soup of my life and my husband couldn't stop himself from repeatedly having some of my soup:) also good was my husbands mushroom swiss burger. my pizza was ok, the fries were decent, my baby's hotdog was just ok. i'm sure there are other yummy menu items here that we have yet to discover. i can't wait to go back to hershey to try some more. the best part about this place is not in hershey proper. it's more towards the edge of town so the prices are good and there's a better chance you won't have a wait.

I am so thankful there is a decent Dukes Restaurant in Hershey, and it's only about three miles from where I live. This restaurant is completely different than the one I rated very poorly in Wormleysburg, on Front Street. I assume that both restaurants have the same owner, so I hope the owner will read the review I gave, and realize that there are problems there. I want it to be known, that that remark was said as a constructive criticism. At Dukes Restaurant, in Hershey, the tuna steak is wonderfully tasty; done to perfection, and the vegetables can be grilled, if you ask them. This is one of my very favorite restaurants; doesn't matter what you order, you will enjoy everything on the menu. The pizza is great. The soups are delicious; I always order a bowl of tomato bisque before my meal. The salads are great too. I could go on and on, but space wouldn't allow me to. If you happen to be passing by, don't hesitate to stop in. You'll be very happy you did! And, I bet you'll be smiling, all the way home!

This is a large, generally crowded sports bar with a big menu of typical sports bar fare located not too far from Hershey Park. I tried their Pennsylvania Dutch pretzel sandwich, wrapped around some ham and cheddar, and found it quite average. Our table also shared some of their loaded beef nachos and Old Bay fries, which were both acceptable though immemorable. If I ever venture back, it will be for a beer and a view of a game at their nice looking central bar area.

Terrible service! terrible food! First, Entrees came out with my salmon dry as a bone and no lemon or butter to help with it. Waitress didn't come back to check on us for 20 min. So by the time I could ask for the butter and lemon my food was cold and it took another 10 min for them to bring it out. Second, they forgot to give me my side of vegetables so those came out later once they made them. Third, they forgot to bring out my fiancé's salad as an appetizer for the entree so we asked for that and got it after he already ate his meal. The waitress knew she messed up and apologized but never offered to make anything right by comping a meal or anything. Will not be be returning. We are not willing to pay for junk food and service.

This place is definitely a go to. It always has great food and a huge selection which makes it hard to decide. My suggestion is try the pumpkin ale out of Seattle. It is quite tasty! I tried the Chesapeak grilled chicken wrap with crab meat and it was sooo out of the norm! Man it was the best thing i had in a long time or at least a week. Ha so what did I do? Well I came back the very next day and I got the same thing. However, it was not consistent. It was better the first time around. Not sure what happened there but I won't give up on this wrap because it really is the bomb! Their side salad is bigger than the norm. And it was very fresh.

Food was okay, nothing special. Service was horrible. Took over 30 minutes to get a water refill and someone else in the group ordered a beer, we got our food and they asked for another. They didnt receive their second beer until they were done eating. The server obviously couldn't handle the amount of tables he had and shouldnt have had that many.

Our first meal here was a very positive experience. The server was very attentive. Everyone enjoyed their food and the portions were great. I had the belly buster fish sandwich which was indeed huge. My Wife had a chicken crab dip wrap that I will be trying next time (she let me have a bite). My nieces split a flat bread pizza that was large enough they couldn't finish it. As someone who likes craft beers, They had a pretty good selection on tap. Definitely a place I would return to when in the area.

Took the family for a birthday dinner. Hostess would not seat us until all 12 had arrived. Too bad. We could have been ordering drinks and apps while we waited. We were finally seated and the server took our drink order. Forty minutes later, we didn't even have water on the table. Our server vanished. We all stood up and left. I will never go back to Dukes. Ever.

I love stopping at Duke's and my husband agrees! It's a bit of a drive for us but totally worth it. The cheese steak egg rolls are totally my favorite thing. The menu is huge and they have great special prices. The service has always been great and you never go home hungry! We always have plenty to take home.

Terrible service! Party of 9 for lunch and meal came out for only one. Told at that time they forgot to place the other 8 orders. No apology, no manage came around. Very disappointed.

Are you looking for a fine dining experience? If so, keep driving! Here's what Dukes has- a big menu, lots on tap, being open late, and decent prices. Service is usually a bit lax, so don't go here if you're a foodie with attitude. Sit down, order a pitcher and a meal, put the phone down and talk to your friends until midnight- that's Dukes in a nutshell. Place is clean, selection of drafts and drinks are good, and the wings are decent.- and they're biker friendly, a nice thing for those of us on two wheels.

I went here before, ordered a crab pretzel and a water they brought me a sprite (this happens a lot to me for some reason) after 40 minutes it still wasnt there so I got up to ask them, then they seated me somewhere else. I got up to grab my sprite and they put down a burger at my old table (????) I ate it and paid for it (they billed me for the crab pretzel??) I have no idea what the heck went on but the burger was really soggy

Food was great and the service was even better!! Thank you Joshua for recommending the Crisfield burger which is a double cheese burger with a crab cake on top. Delicious !!!!

I'll preface this with the fact that I'm a big fan of the Duke's location on the waterfront. My friends and I decided to try this one out since it's closer to our homes in Hershey and we were pretty disappointed. The service was fine, but the food was just not as flavorful as the waterfront location. I got an open-faced steak sandwich that turned out to be a well-done slab of steak slopped on some bread covered by way too many onions. It's a shame, but this just isn't as nice as Duke's other location. If you have time, I would try to go to the other Duke's.

My husband took me out for our anniversary to Dukes. He picked Duke's because my husband worked on there construction and he became buddies with the manager. The manager of this establishment gave my man the impression we were going to have a few beers on the house if we came in for our anniversary. When we got there the manager acted like he did not know us so no drinks on the house. He didn't even come over to the table. My food came it was dry, over cooked, and it tasted terrible. I sent it back which then made the waitress very rude. I explained to her I understood it wasn't her fault. This had no effect on the lack of attention she was giving to our table. At this point my husband walked up to the manger and questioned him about our waitress. The manager tried to change the subject and walked away from my man. New food was brought, not a menu and our waitress mysteriously changed to a waiter. A few months later my sister went to Duke's. She is a part time bar tender so she knows average what drinks cost. She was not impressed with the fact the drink menu had no prices listed. She knows about alcoholic drinks and price gouging. My sister wasn't impressed with what she was charged for a bottle beer. When her food came out it was dry, over cooked, and not right. The waitress said "She eat to much of her salad" and they cant take the salad back (even thought the crab cake came home predominately whole) the next day my sister was so sick. We called the restaurant to talk to the manager on staff. He told us the only way we can get a full refund is if I go to the hospital and bring back lab work.

Ick. The service is slow and lackadaisical -- It feels like the staff thinks they're doing you a favor. Which they are not. Food is mostly prefabricated junk, made with tons of salt and unhealthy oils. Lots of fried stuff, lots of beer, and it might take you a couple of hours to get your dinner. Won't be heading back any time soon. Actually, we won't be heading back, full stop.

Took the family to Dukes after a day at the park. My 'medium' cheeseburger was raw, served on a bun that I can only describe as half-baked dough. The Swiss cheese lacked any flavor and tasted like little more than a layer of fat. My daughter's Ginger Ale tasted like it had been run through a 50 ft rubber garden hose. Overall, the food was barely edible. The only saving graces at Dukes were that the service was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was nice and clean. I don't think we'll revisit Dukes again.

From 2004 to 2008 we travelled to this area almost every weekend to pick up our son. Duke's was one of many restaurants we found to get dinner on the way home. I loved the Crab Pretzel that they advertise in their menu and on their website. I was excited to be back in the area tonight and drove in early so I could treat myself to a Crab Pretzel for dinner. What a disappointment! The pretzel was huge but there appeared to be about a tablespoon of crab salad on it. The cheese was thin too. I could hardly taste either. After a few bites I peeled off the topping and it was thinner than cardstock. I ate it with a couple bites of the pretzel and left the rest. So much for this place as a favorite spot in Hershey.

I was in town to visit Hershey Park June 22-24 for a father-daughter mini vacation. I had planned ahead and read reviews of restaurants that were nearby the hotel I was staying at (Howard Johnson) and Dukes seemed like a decent place. Upon arriving my daughter wanted to sit outside but I insisted we dine indoors as the outdoor tables are close to the road and I figured that it may be noisy. Our server was extremely pleasant and prompt with everything. To be honest I felt bad for her because after I spent all day at the park I was extremely thirsty and she must have brought me about 8 glasses of ice water during the course of our meal. The menu is extensive, but as soon as my eyes saw the full rack of ribs on the menu for what seemed to me to be a great price ($17.99 I seem to recall), I instantly knew I wanted them. The ribs were very good for the price and my daughter seemed to enjoy her grilled cheese sandwich. Our second night in Hershey left me with the dilemma of where to eat next. My daughter was begging me to go back to Dukes and sit outside. I figured I would appease my whining, almost in tears daughter, and revisit Dukes. We were greeted at the hostess stand and given a table outside and that is where I discovered the joy of GLIDER TABLES! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of swaying back and forth while dining outdoors. This time I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and was disappointed. It was the soggiest wrap I have ever had. It was basically sitting in a pool of water on my plate and quickly disintegrated into a mushy mess. On a positive note, our server was excellent! The young gentleman was very attentive and when I said to him that I wanted the biggest glass of water they had because, again, I was extremely thirsty due to walking all over Hershey Park, he brought me out two mugs of ice water! He explained to me that the mugs were the biggest glasses they had and he said "I just figured I'd bring you two." I thought that this was great and extremely thoughtful. Overall I would say that Dukes is a good casual place to grab a bite to eat with awesome glider tables and an EXCELLENT staff..... just don't order the wrap!

Absolute terrible experience. A friend and I walk into Dukes bar to take a break from driving in the snow storm. I would say there was about 25 patrons there. It was nearing last call, about 1:00AM. The white trash bar maid yells at us to "get out!", " I already called last call!", "get out!". We couldn't believe what we were hearing from this uneducated white trash rude maid. Be warned!

We've considered Dukes for Sunday brunch a number of times, but every time we've passed by the parking lot seemed so empty, we would change our minds and go elsewhere. I coupon enticed us to finally give it a try. The restaurant was about 80% empty when we arrived at 10:30 AM. The service was sufficient, if a bit confused. Both of our silverware set-ups were dirty. (Sent her's back, then I just used her clean knife.) Coffee was average. Complimentary sweet mini buns were tasty. Her fried egg dish was fine, though the potatoes were slightly under cooked. The bacon was a semi-thick good cut and prepared softish, but not limp - just the way we like it. The real disappointment was the waffles that I ordered. The two, large waffles arrived luck-warm at best. They were also very crispy. I chose not to send them back because I didn't want to wait for another order. But I did let the apologetic waitress know that they were hot warm. It didn't help that the butter packets were so cold that they wouldn't melt. Prying the super sticky syrup pitcher out of it's resting bowl was another minor annoyance that added to the overall lack-luster experience. Eventually the waitress came to let me know she had inquired about the reason that the waffles were not warm. It turns out that if you order pancakes, they are made on the spot. But if you order waffles... they are pre-made and frozen. IF I WANT FROZEN WAFFLE I'LL EAT EGGO'S AT HOME! Shameful. The next time I go back I'll order pancakes... oh yeah, I forgot. I won't be back. For a better breakfast in the area, I recommend Top That, Funk's or The Filling Station (in that order).

Great local place! Similar to a Houlihan's, but didn't have to wait to be seated. Good selection for kids and adults. We all loved our meals.

We loved the menu and the FREEZING cold beer! The crab cakes were great and I loved the mandarin orange vinaigrette. The $5.55 menu was the choice for my husband. He selected the Cuban sandwich and thought it was very tasty. The tomato soup comes prepared like French onion soup with a melted cheese cheese crust...delicious!

The barkeep was not attentive or friendly. The food was overcooked. Also, I had called to find how late the kitchen was open and they told me midnight, but when I got there they told me only the fryer was still up. I would not go here again.

Food is good, but could be hotter. Also, the hostesses are terrible and never seem to listen to you when asking for special seating. The waiters have been consistently good; however the waitresses are not good and seem to all have a bad attitude.

We went here with my brother's family, because they live in Harrisburg and love the Duke's on the waterfront over there. We have been to the one in Harrisburg a while ago as well, and had a very good meal. We had a decent sized group, about 10, and they were able to easily accommodate us. Some of the kids ordered a crab pretzel bake that was very good, but the rest of all the food we ordered was not very good at all. There are many other places in the area, so do not waste your time or money here. If you are on Harrisburg's west shore though look them up.

This place has a HUGE menu. There are a couple of non meat items including a grilled cheese on Tuscan bread, which is what I got. If you do eat meat, there are tons of items to choose from. So many in fact that its hard to decide what to get. Portions are also a pretty good size and the food is really good. 4 M's or mmmm.

If you're looking for a cheap, good place to eat in Hershey, this is the place to go. Admittedly, we didn't try to eat anywhere else except in Hershey World, but I'd read other people's reviews and got the testimony of the lady who worked the front desk of our motel, so I was convinced it would be good before we got there. The menu at this place is HUGE. And we were starving, so it didn't help things. They've got everything from pasta to burgers to steaks to cajun food. We happened to be there on Mardi Gras, so they had all these cajun specials going on. The servings were ginormous, the service was friendly and the prices were decent. We got there around 7pm on a Saturday night and there was a 40 minute wait. Seems like it's the place to be. There were lots of families, though it seemed like a good mix of locals and tourists. My friend ordered the shrimp and chicken pasta. It was like three pounds of food. And the kitchen accidentally put sausage in it. Our server thought she'd check with him first to see if he minded before sending it back, just in case he didn't mind. She didn't want to waste food. I loved her for this. And hey, who doesn't mind a bit of extra sausage? I ordered chicken parmagiana. The sauce was tasty, the chicken was crispy and it had cheese on it. Along with another three pounds of spaghetti. It was good. And this all came with a house salad that was fresh and also big. Plus, I ordered gumbo for an appetizer. What can I say? My eyes were bigger than my stomach. Neither of us finished our food that night, but we were plenty satisfied. It's a good thing our motel room had a fridge and microwave. There's also a bar on the other side of the restaurant. They have an awesome beer selection and an impressive selection of beer on tap, given it's almost in the middle of nowhere. The night we were there one of the local breweries was having a beer tasting, so they were giving out free beer. Woo free beer! They had these really cheap breakfast and lunch specials too. We were kind of sad that we wouldn't be around to try them. In all, a great place to eat.

Another of my favorite local spots for dinner. Its comfortable and laid-back atmosphere is perfect for grabbing a drink and watching a sporting event. The one time, they even brought speakers over to my table so that I did not miss what was going on for the hockey game. The menu selection is great, and has a little something for everyone. My favorite is the crab dip appetizer... of all the places around Hershey, they have the best crab dip! Best of all, the prices are not outrageous, they have a seating area for families and a bar-area for get-togethers, and during the summer there is seating available outside. For as long as I have been going there, the service has always been really good.

Came across this place last Friday when looking for some casual eats. We both had soup which was great on a cold winter night. I had a unique specialty they were touting - crab and cheese on a hot pretzel. It was about as odd as it sounds, but definitely yummy. Friend of mine had a club which was good. I would say by the packed parking lot it's a sure bet frequented by locals.

Nice food, nice service. Good little atmosphere. If you just get into town after a long vacation road trip this is a safe bet for everyone to find something they like. Comprehensive sports bar menu. Got the sleepy hollow meatloaf. Others at the table got the chicken Parmesan and mountain meatloaf. Massive massive servings and took a lot of everything home despite being hungry as a bear on arrival.

I went here for a late lunch early dinner while on vacation this past Memorial Day weekend. The portions were HUGE! The food was pretty tasty. I had the Tomato Florentine Soup to start. It was rich & creamy and I liked the croutons & melted cheese on the top (similar to French Onion soup). I've never had tomato soup like that before. We ordered Mushroom, Spinach, & Cheese quesodillas for an appetizer (they usually have chicken in them, but we ordered them without it because I'm a vegetarian). They were so big that we couldn't finish them. I had a Portabello Mushroom Fociacca sandwich with seasoned fries. The sandwich was huge & tasty. The fries were nice & crispy. Just how I like them. The waitress was a little bit slow & the bathroom was a little bit dingy. Other than that everything was good.

this place is pretty decent but nothing spectacular. the service is mediocre as the server was possibly forgetful of us as we were hiddin right next to the servers station. several other tables received their food before us. there were only two of us and we both ordered wraps; a turkey and a chicken. the plates were searing hot and the fries were not hot and fresh when the food arrived which tells me they were sitting under heat lamps for some time. very clean but the bathrooms couldve been bigger and it wouldve been nice if the door lock worked. it wouldve also been nice if i didnt have to wait for the server to shut the door to the closet so i could continue down the hall to the bathroom. greast menu selection though the portions are small for the price. not expensive but you should get slightly more for what it costs. overall i dont think i'll be selecting this place again before i try somewhere else.

Gotta go. Period. It is a nice atmosphere. Looks like it was built in an old dinner. Great food and beer selection. Staff is friendly and prompt. Family friendly area and a great sportish bar. If your in the hershey area, need to go!
