I honestly have to say that I would have to give this place a completely satisfied rating !! Service, food & atmosphere. It's a pub first & foremost but we had a blast. Made reservation for 10 & we all had various plates, with plenty of to go cartons. So that gives you an idea of the portions. By the way in Amongst our group were vegetarian, nut allergy & glutton free eaters & they accommodated them no problem. I would definitely come back again. :)

We hit Bravehearts just before Lehigh v. Rutgers wrestling match, had calamari and potato & leak soup. Calamari was good, soup wasn't. My bro had a soup special not sure exactly, but was tomato based w/ bacon & some other items. He liked it. We split a double meat pie. All enjoyed that. Guinness was good. I'm giving 3.5 stars, I think they're a little pricey. Would go back, when in area.

Had dinner here tonight. Steve behind the bar was great! Service was swift and friendly. Was disappointed in the fare though. Ordered the "Braised Short Ribs" with mashed potatoes and squash for $19. I received three small pieces (2x3x1/4 inch) of what looked like pot roast, fully a quarter of which was fat. When I questioned the order, I was told it was boneless short ribs. The squash consisted of 5 slivered pieces of squash hidden under the meat. I've had some good, some bad here...Quality in the food is important...Steve did give me a 15% discount. Won't order that again!

I remember when Braveheart first opened its doors a several years ago. The place was bustling with people and the workers were friendly and easy on the eyes. Fast forward to the present and it's almost exactly the same, except there are even prettier faces behind the bar. I must say, they did an amazing job renovating the old Hellertown Hotel. That place was seriously an eyesore. What a transformation! The upstairs is now bright, open, and welcoming. There's plenty of dining space, a good number of quality high bar tables and seats, and a nice wrap around bar with nice big screen TVs to catch just about any game you fancy. I haven't been to the downstairs pub yet but that's all a matter of time. The food is solid, good eats. The menu has gotten quite large now. The slow roasted pork is a good bang for your buck and the bridie is mighty tasty too. I adore their wings! Big, fat, meaty wings get nothing but smiles from me. Their Scottish egg didn't do anything for me, and I love me a good Scottish egg. Again, service is warm and efficient and you can't really complain about their prices. The alcohol selection is especially nice as they have a fine selection of whiskies and great variety of beers and spirits. A word of warning: Braveheart gets crazy when soccer games are televised. You've been warned. Cheers!

Great Blackened Chicken Caesar salad for lunch. Love the Pub atmosphere. Great bartender (even though I only had a coke) and fun crowd at the bar. Good place to hit.

Love this place. Today was my first visit. First impressions were great; Very clean, welcoming interior. The only thing that threw me off was my fiance and I entered through the front, but apparently the restaurant entrance is off the parking lot on the side. No biggie, though. Our waitress was a sweetheart. I ordered a creamsicle martini while we perused the menu and it was delivered rather quickly. I wanted to try the Scottish Eggs, but the waitress unfortunately advised me they had run out. I opted for the Edinburger with a salad instead of fries, and the fiance got the Highlandburger. We both loved them, the burgers tasted amazing. Really quality tasting meat, cooked to perfection with quality ingredients. The prices depend on what you eat. It's on par with an Applebees type place if you stay in the sandwich/wrap/flatbread area (about $8-$12). The entrees and Scottish fare all sound delicious but are a little more expensive. They range from about $15-$25 but also seem like heavier portions. I definitely recommend it!

Tried Braveheart for lunch today. Not bad, not amazing.. might go again. Smoked fish appetizer was good, smoked salmon, trout and mackerel with some sort of cream cheesy onion spread, capers, onion, and crackers. Boxty were okay, seemed to have some sort of filler but otherwise fine.. roasted red pepper ketchup was good. Split the sampler of bridies, meat pie and bangers and mash with my aunt. I thought the bridie was the best of the three and the onion gravy was good. My uncle got the Guinness Braised Short Ribs and here's where my impression of the place took a real nosedive. Ribs must have been a typo because it was a rib, singular, and according to my uncle had about three bites of decent meat. $21. Our server was friendly and prompt, it was around 5 so there weren't many people there. I'd probably go back for appetizers and beer.

Drive by on my way to work and popped in last weekend with boyfriend to test it out and catch the Phillies game. We had to ask them to put the Phils game on, which they happily did for us. Great pub atmosphere, traditional beer list with emphasis on the UK beers (Smithwicks, Guinness, Harp, etc). Never one to pass on nachos, we ordered the Scottish nachos to split: Scottish because they use mincemeat. INCREDIBLE! Generous portion and loaded (cheese, salsa, guac, sour cream, etc in addition to the mincemeat). Very friendly and prompt service. Our waitress was a doll and the rest o the staff (noticing from afar) all seemed very pleasant with the other guests. Great place to watch a game and spend an afternoon. Music was low enough to not have to scream to boyfriend inches away from me.

I always make my boyfriend take me here for the Spinach and pear salad. I LOVE IT. I actually substitute Romaine for the Spinach and also get it with chicken on top and it is more than enough for dinner. It has always been very good. Sometimes the crab dip can be hit or miss, but everything else we've had has been GREAT! I love the fact that its a nice looking pub, not too crowded with young folk and a great easy place to hang out. Service has always been good and I really look forward to going back.

Won't be back. Went last night and had a below average Shepherd's Pie. Tasteless. Two of four of us had the Shepherd's Pie and the other person thought it tasted like soap. One of the other's at the table had Mahi Mahi and liked it, but she never had Mahi Mahi before in her life. We started with appetizers and they weren't worth a dime of the money we spent on them. The crab dip didn't have anything that resembled crab and the mozzarella tastes like it was frozen months ago. The one item the four of us thought was good was the chocolate cake we shared for dessert. It was good and would be the only thing I would eat if I went back, which I won't be doing anytime soon.

So so so good, expensive but good! Love the service and the scotch selection. The food is among the best Irish/scotish food in the valley. I'm craving it just by writing this review... Just decided leaving for it now!

They have a great selection of scotch, the food is pretty good, but the menu needs to be expanded. Great atmosphere, good service, all staff members are pleasant. Lived in the area for a year and by far, the best place to eat and drink.

I have been to Braveheart twice now, and have been disappointed twice. It does remind one of a typical British pub. However, the food stinks. Nothing I or my companions had has been good. Mediocre at best. Service has been spotty. The place gets two stars for being entirely smoke-free. Lesson learned: only come for drinks.

For a bar this place has awesome food! Four of us went around 10 and the kitchen was still serving the full menu... Greatly appreciated. Their beer selection has lots of imports which go with the Scottish theme (the waitresses even had kilts on!). In addition they have a great selection of single malt scotches most of which have been aged over 15+ years. Our food order consisted of a chicken sandwich with sautéed onions and pesto sauce and fresh green beans instead of fries. Another person had the seafood special mahi tuna with pineapple rice. Another the buffalo chicken salad. And the last a huuuge portion of fish and chips. (this fish was at least 10 ounces worth). All of it was delicious and I would return there anytime I'm in the area!
