Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

The food was so yummy!!! We had the cheese steak pizza and wings. Both were delicious and not salty. The music was not very good and the decor was a little cheesy but we would definitely go back! The owner was also very friendly and made our experience even better.

Was okay, but won't rush back. The place is nice inside and the service was friendly and attentive enough. The food was pretty fresh. But for the restaurant not being very busy, it seemed to take a long time for our food to be served. My wife and I agreed that the shredded lettuce in the salad was a big turnoff. This was shredded lettuce like you'd use in a hoagie, not in a salad. The house Italian dressing was too much oil, not enough vinegar. There were no extras in the salad like some good peppers or olives. My entree was pretty good: chicken and broccoli with penne in Alfredo sauce. My son liked the ravioli well enough. The garlic knots were as good as, if not better than the ones at Booty's Place down the road. My wife was not impressed with the Greek chicken salad. (See shredded lettuce discussion above. ) she found the chicken to be rather grisly. The meatballs were disappointingly flavorless, in a mediocre marinara. The portions were ok, but the meal was a bit more than you'd expect to pay at a pizza place. It was kind of odd that they suggest taking cash out of the no fee ATM near the counter to avoid their 3% credit/debit card fee. How about just absorbing the fee? Do you really need to charge me $1.50 on a $50 cheque? It wasn't bad overall, but there are a LOT of other options in the Hazleton area and nothing about Alfredo's really makes it stand out.

I had Lasagna, and it was pretty good. It comes with a side garden salad and garlic nots, salad was good garlic nots were very dry. I'll definitely eat here again.

Very good place. Atmosphere was nice, service was great, very spacious room. But the food is amazing. If there was any knock on it, it was that the vegetables in the stromboli were large, and I always like mine cut up small. But that's just me. I will definitely be coming back here if I'm in town again.

The restaurant was clean and neat with your typical Italian decor. Waitress was friendly and quick to seat. Beer was fresh and clean, which always is a good sign. Caprese salad was simple and fresh, very nice. Balsamic vinegrette was made in house, also very good. I had a Stromboli which was very good. Fresh, warm. Dough was really good with a good hint of garlic, big fan. I had a mascarpone lemon berry tart for dessert, was a great finish to a great meal. I recommend this place, Classic Italian dishes and great atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I, on vacation, originally tried to eat at a restaurant called Martin's. After feeling like an alien on a new planet, we left and ended up here at Alfredo's. WE ARE SO HAPPY WE DID!!! After feeling super awkward from walking into Martin's(like in the movies when someone walks into a private party and they aren't supposed to be there, the record/music just scratches and stops) and walking right back out, we found Alfredo's. It was a relief walking in (over dressed) and being treated by the super friendly wait staff. We were treated like real human beings. The place was decorated really cool and had a comfortable vibe. We got lava fries and the grandma pizza. Our waitress was great(she got a 40% tip she was so amazing after how we were treated at the previous restaurant), helpful and friendly. The sauce on the pizza was obviously made from scratch that day. I wish there was a place like this in my hometown. I highly recommend this restaurant. The price was incredibly cheap for the quality of food and service we received. If we are ever in the area again WE WILL BE BACK. (If the owners/employees read this....THANK YOU)

Free delivery to the hotel I was staying at. Got the salmon salad and it was ok. I would suggest getting pasta or pizza I wanted a lighter dinner. The garlic rolls were very good.

Funny that I'm going to have to post this comment again it because I'm pretty sure Alfredo's deleted it. In fact, there are many other negative reviews below against this place. Here it is again. Don't ever call this place for pick up orders. First, I ordered two hoagies, one cheesesteak with everything on it and the other one was a buffalo chicken. After I picked up our orders and went home. When we opened our hoagies up, it felt like a practical joke or something. My cheesesteak absolutely had nothing in it, not even cheese on it and brother's buffalo chicken was a cooked frozen piece of chicken with a few drops buffalo sauce and some cheese are so on it. After we were hysterically laughing at ours hoagies for a few minutes. I called them up to complain about my hoagie. Oh boy, I can't describe to you guys how insolent and clueless this lady was on the phone. She arrogantly told me that I did order a plain cheesesteak and that "there is nothing she could do". After a few moments of trying to convince her, I cursed her out due to her arrogance and hung up the phone while she was still yelling at me. After that, I tried to eat my very plain no-CHEESEsteak, which I went to my fridge to add something I could add on it. I could not finish it so my brother's dog ate the rest.

Good pizza but less than hot and 1.5 hours to get it makes it not worth while. Pizza had been reheated and was very toasted.

First time here, probably our last. I'll set the scene: Wednesday night, not busy. When we got there maybe 4 or 5 tables in use. Two waitresses, a young man helping out. Sign days wait to be seated. After a minute our two a waitress walks by and says take a seat, I'll bring you some menus. We did get our menus and our order was taken somewhat promptly. My wife ordered the Chicken Franchise. I ordered the baked cheese ravioli and a side of meatballs. The positives: the decor was nice. The red sauce was pretty good and I'm fairly certain it was homemade. My wife thought the chicken was better than average. The not so good: If you're getting a salad, get the dressing on the side. Way over dressed. While I can't say 100%, I'm 95% sure the cheese ravioli is NOT homemade. Not that it was terrible, I just expected something homemade. The meatballs arrived lukewarm at best. Best I could tell they were homemade but they were nothing special. We saw our waitress once about 5 minutes into our meal to see if everything was ok. I decided not to complain about the temperature of the meatballs, and said yes. We did not have contact with another waitress until at least 10 minutes after we had finished our meal. No one checked on our drinks. No check in to make sure everything was still ok. And the contact we did have was with the other waitress who asked if we wanted boxes for our leftovers. She brought us boxes and then left us so we could box up the back food ourselves. As we waited for our waitress to come to our table we heard the other waitress telling another table about their desserts. One of them caught my wife's interest. After the waitress had brought our boxes I started the stopwatch on my phone. We waited another 6 1/2 minutes for our waitress and when she finally arrived she handed us our bill and told us we could pay at the counter. Never asked about dessert. Barely a thank you for stopping. My wife was not happy she was not getting dessert. When she went up to pay she told the owner she was not very happy with the service we received. Her response was she was sorry we weren't happy. That was it. She didn't ask what it was we weren't happy about, she didn't really seem to care. Bottom line: there are way better places with better service and food in Hazleton and the surrounding area to spend your money. We will not be back.

My wife and I were traveling on vacation and spent the night in Hazelton last week. We stayed at the motel across the street from Alfredo's and decided to eat there for dinner. Our server was very friendly and helpful and efficient. The food was delicious and the portions were so large that we each took home half of our meal and had it for dinner the following night in our hotel room. I would highly recommend eating at Alfredo's to anyone visiting in the Hazelton area. We were very glad that we made that choice.

Excellent Italian Food!! We come here all the time! Never had a bad experience! Our favorite is the Grandma's Pizza. They also serve great dinners!! Nice layout, very friendly atmosphere. A+ Restaurent !!!

The decor is very nice, but the pizza was awful, it doesn't taste like it was made in a brick oven and it took forever even though we where the only one's there other than 2 take outs, brick oven's temperature should cook at about 600-700 degrees making the pizza brown on the top as on the bottom, no such thing here. I had the marguerita pizza with was lacking in cheese, I know fresh mozzarella is expensive but come-on i'm paying for it. My hubby had the namesake pizza (Alfredo's) its sausage, pepperoni, onions, peppers and mushrooms, well all the veggies where raw, crunchy and the cheese was barely melted, it actually smelled and tasted like dominoes/pizza hut pizza, very disappointed in your "brick oven" you're doing it wrong. Oh, by the way the dough is too yeasty, I don't think is made in house, but I could be wrong.

Nice people. Our second visit. Food hot and good. Best pizza around.

Love this place. Went a few times since they opened and both times were great. I recommend the fettuccine alfredo. The meatball hoagies were delicious as well. The staff is second to none. Just wish the parking situation was a bit better. We had to drive around for a long time before we could find a spot on a weekend. Once you go in the lot, you have to try and turn your car around and come back because there is only one way in and out. Maybe when the place isn't so new, they won't need all the spaces and it won't be so bad. I miss the chicken scampi from the old places. Wish it were on the menu here. :(

Nice decor, but pizza and garlic knots were not good.

Beautifully decorated, the business formerly known as Amici's located on Airport road has certainly undergone a face-lift with its large flashing sign on Church St. and the interior design of the establishment. The food has not changed, which is a good thing. On any given day you can see the staff making pizzas right behind the register. The pizza and hoagies are delicious. All menu items are reasonably priced for the service, quality of the food, and the atmosphere. Buon appetito!

Giving this place a 3 star for now. May reconsider to a four after a second visit.... Well first off the decor is cool very nice on the inside... Little weird on the outside. I think this is whats hurting this place. The food well salad and dressing good. Baked ziti... noodles good sauce mmmm well thats what I think they have to work on a little. I never had baked ziti with a orange sauce, but like I said I will give this a second chance. We also ordered a tavern pizza which was def in my liking..
