While they may not be busy their food is fantastic! My boyfriend and I happened upon Sima one night while out. We had no expectations before walking in the front door. We were greeted by the very friendly waitress who was incredibly attentive and helpful. Service was very quick and she made us feel at home and even helped explain how to eat certain kinds of sushi. I had the vegetable tempura which was absolutely fantastic. The spicy sauce wasn't too hot, which is good for me because I like to taste my food and not sear my mouth. My boyfriend chose the basic Sushi platter which had 7 different types of sushi that he loved. Since it was our first time there, our lovely waitress gave us free seaweed salad and miso soup. Both were great. The best part about it all was the price, a lot of Japanese restaurants can be extremely pricey but Sima was not. It was very reasonable for an amazing dinner. I most certainly will go back!

I guess I should have checked Yelp before I went here (for lack of reviews) or at least took a queue from the empty dining room that I was in for trouble. Service was quick but like I said the dining room was empty. I ordered an iced green tea, which came out in a can- another queue.. I really don't remember all the rolls I ordered except the "dragon roll" but I started with the miso soup which was decent. All I have to say is that sound of "ding" echoing through the dining room should have had me running for the door. I knew deep down what it was but I just couldn't believe it.. The reality was to set in when they set my plate down.. It really had happened, they really did it, they microwaved my soft shell crab tempura that was to go in my dragon roll.. Granted it had been fried at some point but for all I know that was last tuesday.. Needless to say I left very shortly thereafter.. I am giving them two stars as I hope this is a horrible mistake by some misguided sushi chef that has since been either schooled or dismissed.. For me, I will not be back to find out if he's gone..

What I love about Sima is that food is simple and clean. The interior is very welcoming and nice as well. Food wise, their rolls are tasty and fresh. I also had the tempura udon and it was certainly the best I've ever had! Other places would have broth that has strong Ginger or plain taste, but Sima's was very tasty!

Second time visiting and the service is still awesome and friendly. I had the seaweed salad, grilled salmon roll, Philadelphia roll, and spicy California roll. All were good! They do their best to make you feel at home. The first time we stopped by to order takeout, and as we waited the owner brought us fruit and delicious cold cinnamon tea. This time we ate in and we received more tea, and as she brought the check, she handmade a rose and leaf with a red and green napkin, hid it behind the check for me to take and give to my girlfriend!

This is my first review ever cause im compelled to make sure no one else wastes their money. Im giving it two stars only because the people are so sweet. But literally worst sushi I ever experienced. I went there based on current reviews seemed okay. Even though when everi have driven past it has been empty. I was hoping it was just because of inconvenient parking or maybe cause it focuses on take out. But its empty cause if grossness. I have found much better sushi at a supermarket. If you want a good place near them...well like 5 miles away try wild ginger 2. I am new to the area so cant vouch for any other place. But if comes to it. Go to a Giant super market before you go here for sushi. Sad to say cause they are nice. But for the price.... yucko.

I really love the Sima House roll and Shrimp Tempora roll. The atmosphere is very calm and the owner/hostess are really nice. My husband ordered the Tempura Udon (soup) and it was delicious!

Great sushi 5 minutes away? Can't get any better than that. Fish was fresh & I was pleasantly surprised when I was asked if I wanted smoked salmon in my Alaska roll. Of course!! What Jew doesn't love smoked salmon? Yes, the place was quiet & had only one table full of people....so what? I'm a happy customer and will return. Kudos for using the good soy sauce in the red and white packets!!

One of my favorites! The service and food are wonderful. I have been here several times and never had one complaint! Maria, the waitress, is lovely and attentive. Try her cinnamon tea!!
