I've been trying to find a good, non-greasy pizza in Harrisburg since I moved in, and this was on the list, so I ordered at about 6 on a Saturday night for pick up. I decided to get garlic knots and their Roma pizza. The pizza was ready when I got there and the people were really nice. Overall, ordering and picking up was a fine experience. The garlic knots were a little undercooked and were a bit greasy for my taste - I ended up saving them and recooking them the next day. They were better when I cooked them longer, but still really doughy and I couldn't get the middles to cook no matter what. The sauce that came with them was so watery it didn't really dip well - it just coated lightly and didn't add much flavor like it should. I was a bit disappointed. The pizza was okay - it wasn't greasy but it was kind of salty. The crust was a bit tough to me and I ended up cutting my mouth on the crust - my usual favorite part of the pizza - causing my to toss the rest of the crust because it was too hard to eat. I didn't try anything else. I would probably give this another try, but it just wasn't anything I'd be running back to.

What is there NOT to LOVE?!?!!? WT is Awesome!! I need to be #GF and the hoagies/sandwiches are the BEST!!! I dream about them - they're that good! Staff is so accommodating and friendly - I'm a regular! Great #GF spot in the Hbg. Area!!!

Worst god damn pizza of my life. How this is rated 4+ stars is beyond me. Places like this remind me why I need to keep making my own at home or find a real deal pizzaria that looks at pizza as rustic Italian fare instead of this nasty thick bromated bread flour garbage heaped with cheap ingredients and lots of it. This is why Americans are so damn fat and Italians much less so. Owners of this crappy pizza joint: Quality and not quantity. And like the 7 time world pizza making champion always says, "Less is more with pizza". Learn this.

Love how they do so many deep dish pizzas. Don't plan on dining in as there is no seating inside - takeout/delivery only. Subs and pizza are good. WIsh they had at least a boli or two on the menu. Flame fired fries leave a little to be desired as far as flavor.

Hands down my favorite place in Harrisburg. I love the gluten free options, but it's the fresh, quality ingredients and the customer service that keep me coming back. If I could, I would give this place 4.5 stars. The gluten free pizza is not the best I have ever had, but it is still good when I get a craving for pizza. My favorite menu item is toss up between the turkey burger grinder and the wild chicken and pasta, but honestly, I'd probably eat anything you put in front of me from Wild Tomato. It can be a little tricky to get in and out of during certain times of the day due to the typical traffic on 22, but it's well worth the trip! I recommend Wild Tomato, especially to anybody with any sort of food allergy/intolerance.

The wild veggie pizza here is the stand-out for me. It has a delicious pesto sauce paired with tender roasted veggies. The spicy amber pizza is delicious if you're a sausage fan. The Frankie d-lux is a great version of a supreme pizza. The regular pizza crust is crisp on the bottom, but has a nice chewiness as well. The Bullit's real steak sub is also delicious. The pieces of steak are tender and it's a far cry from what most sub shops use in theirs. The meatballs are just like an Italian grandma would make! This place uses only the freshest ingredients--and it shows!

Their pizzas are delicious and out of this world. You won't be disappointed. They are organic and handmade. They have an excellent selection of pizzas to chose from, including gluten-free options.

Happened to find this pizza place by looking on yelp. I felt to also leave a review. We were in town while on vacation and wanted a pizza to eat. All I can say is the pizza is very good. Very nice crust and sauce. We had half cheese half bacon. The workers are very welcoming and pizza was ready when told. A good solid place you won't go wrong.

We tried Wild Tomato Pizzeria for the first time tonight. Wow! My family and I agreed we had never had any better anywhere. They take small town, who cares run of the mill pizza and put it to shame. Just enough cheese, perfect sauce, liberal but not over done toppings and dollops of fresh (what I am pretty sure was) fresh ricotta to boot! If you are looking for high end, gourmet, unforgettable pizza, this is the place to go!

Wild Tomato has great food! Delivery always comes on time and is piping hot. Love their meatball sub!

I stumbled upon this place when I was passing through the area. First thing to know is that this is a purely take out establishment (I didn't know that). They have pizza, sandwiches and salads. They do offer a deep dish option, but only in the medium size (which was a bummer because I wanted to try it, but didn't need an entire medium pizza). The pizza was okay - it tasted like pizza. There wasn't anything that totally blew my mind about it. The crust was pretty generic and the toppings were fine. I just had a pepperoni pizza with jalapenos, but some of their specialty pizzas looked pretty good. Perhaps those are better.

We had a good friend staying with us for a few weeks. Poor thing is allergic to the world. She *loves* pizza and was so happy that we could order her a gluten free, dairy free, meat free and egg free pizza. She was so happy she almost cried! As for us non -allergic folk, we love their margherita pizza. Love! Prices are steep, but the quality is good. Would recommend.

It's so hard to find decent pizza in Harrisburg. I've lived in the area for over 20 years, and hadn't tasted great local pizza until I ate here. Absolutely delicious and flavorful, it leaves the bland cardboard competitors in the dust. Their grandma pizza is hands down the best I've had, I highly recommend it. Their wings are also amazing.

I have wanted to try this place since I moved to the area...and I am so glad I did. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful I like the specialty menu - we tried the Flying Dutchman because anything with bacon can't be bad, but this has potato and Alfredo sauce. I really want to try more things on the menu because I am salivating thinking about the pizza I consumed. The only thing I would improve was the wait...but the food arrived hot. It took over an hour but again it was delicious and fresh

Twice in the past 4 deliveries the driver delivered to the wrong home. I am never ordering from here again. Food is hit and miss. Excellent one time and pitiful the next. Consistency is a must in food service. I rushed home from NYC to surprise my wife today, ordered food, only to have them screw it up and deliver to the wrong house! I'm sitting in my living room waiting for 80 minutes and finally called to check up on it. "Driver said he went to house and was told you didn't order food." I'm sitting right here! Once...ok...twice in 4 deliveries??? You need to drug test your drivers!!!

I was visiting from out of town and randomly picked this place to order from. I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the Greek salad and Grandma's pizza. The Greek salad was yummy, lots of feta just how I like it. But the real winner was Grandma's pizza. So yummy! It was enough for one person who is really hungry or enough for two people to split if they also order a side dish. The delivery man was very friendly and prompt. I'd highly recommend!

Though the Wild Tomato is a bit of a hike from work, it came highly recommended by one of my coworkers and has a fantastic menu, with plenty of variety and is certainly not your typical "two brothers" kind of pizza joint. We routinely order from this place for pick-up, despite the decidedly inconvenient location and 15-20 minute drive, depending on traffic. With that said, it is well worth the extra bit of effort for what is truly excellent food. I've seen a couple of negative reviews, and all I can say is that either their writers wouldn't know good food if it jumped out and bit them - or, they were mistakenly commenting on the wrong place. Truly, the only complaint I have with WT is that this place is kind of tough to get into and out of and I wish they had the space to sit down (aside from the few picnic tables outside). But every great restaurant has to start somewhere. My personal favorites here are the Wild Gobbler and the Spicy Amber - but I've also had their wings (fantastic!) and maybe one or two of their other hot sandwiches, like the Chicago Carla. All have been well-above average and their staff is friendly and efficient. In particular, their rolls are awesome - they are true, Italian-style roles, the likes of which, I haven't experienced since I was a young kid growing up in northern NJ (where we know REAL Italian food, not the typical PA Dutch-bastardization of said cuisine). If you visit and don't walk away impressed, you're probably overly accustomed to mediocre pizza places - this isn't one of them. If, however, you're looking for something well beyond the ordinary and for a fair price, then you've found the right spot.

Pizza showed up at my house 1 hour and 20 minutes after ordering. Couldn't even pick the pizza up the bottom was so soggy. Basically inedible. The pizza is nothing special to begin with. Will not be ordering from here again.

We had the Frankie d-lux. The pizza tasted like it was just thrown together. There wasn't any care taken in the preparation. It was mushy in through and the crust was too done. Perhaps it was the time of the day, we ordered late Saturday evening. But for $13 for a medium sized pizza, we were hoping for something better. Not terribly expensive but you still feel like you could have had a better deal from Dominoes for that price point. Finally, we picked up our pizza and the girl at the register could have been more pleasant. She was brisk and though she sort of tried to be nice, it felt disingenuine. Again perhaps bec they were busy or bec it was getting late and she was tired, or maybe bec I looked like a bum not having combed my hair or made much effort to look more presentable before leaving my apartment... Point is, the whole experience from the food to the service to the price certainly had room for improvement.

Wild tomato is hands down the BEST pizza in Harrisburg. We got a GF pizza and it was worth every dollar :-). Never had pizza quite as good as the wild tomato before. Even their cheese must be homemade or at least they buy it from someone that knows how to make real mozzarella cheese. Can't wait to go back and try something different :-).

The BEST pizza in Harrisburg, by far! Always delicious pizza, wings, and subs with the freshest ingredients around. Although the actual restaurant location is small, they are always great for delivery as well! The one downside is that they are not open on Sundays and do not open until 4pm on Saturdays... I would eat here every day if I could! lol

The pizza was good, but not as good as the reviews led me to believe. Naples and Palumbo's remain the best pizza in Harrisburg in my book.

Best pizza in Harrisburg. Best pizza I've eaten in all my twenty-six years. This is what happens when a group of motivated people put the quality of their food above all else. You can taste the freshness in their sauce each and every time. I order a large side of it each time I get their garlic knots, which are also the best I've ever found. I've tried a different pizza each time I've ordered, and have never been anything but impressed. Their commitment to service matches their commitment to quality. I called at 8:45 on a Tuesday and asked for delivery (that's 15 minutes before they close). Not only did they agree to deliver my order, they did so within 20 minutes, and the driver couldn't have been nicer. I'm not someone who orders out too often, but anytime I get the craving for pizza, only Wild Tomato will do as long as I'm in this city.

Pizza is excellent, I wish I would have gotten three slices instead of only 2! I'm not exactly sure what the difference is between their gluten free pizza and regular pizza other than the fact that it's delicious! The fact that it's carry-out only is a bit of a bummer, but the pizza is so good it is well worth the inconvenience. (Oh and there are two picnic tables outside that you can use when the weather is nice.)

Their pizza is very good. The pasta is nothing exceptional but I have yet to try the one with chicken garlic olive oil and fresh veggies. I'm looking forward to trying a steak sub there as well it's listed as real steak instead of steakum style meat.

I've been looking around for a good pizza place in Harrisburg, and by the look of reviews, seemed it may have been the one. This place has nice staff, and don't get me wrong, the pizza was good, but just not the best. It was the sauce...just something about it. I'd come back, the prices are super reasonable, but I'm still looking.

Great Pizza! I like the Spicy Amber and my wife is a big fan of the Margherita. Look for the daily specials. Wednesday is Lasagna Night for $6 and on Tuesday their specialty pizzas are just 9.99 for their extra large. Another night it's their wings that are put on specials. You get the idea. They make a big push on their gluten free. I don't worry that much about that I just think it's great pizza!

Overall very good. Steak sub had real slices of good quality and tender steak. Could have used some sauce so next time I will ask for sauce to kick up the flavor a bit. Lots of meat and cheese but definately needed sauce. Pizza is good but I never really had bad pizza...Only complaint is the bottom was a bit soggy,I like a crisper crust. Wings, very good, tasty, not just hot spice like some places but very tasty with just the right amount of heat. Staff/owners very friendly. I do not mind that its take out only as we always do take out anyway no matter where we go. Update...tried deep dish pizza this time, good and was not greasy. The dough is not my favorite, more of a cake type texture but the wife loves it. Wings were spot on again and garlic knott bread melts in your mouth. Just wish this place was open on Sundays as everything I am hungry for them its a sunday but nice that they get the day off but would probably make a lot more $ if opened on sundays. Had the peppers/onions/sausage entre, out of this world. I am 3/4 Italian and grew up on the good stuff. Great service too...the gals are always cheerful and service with a smile. Their ham and cheese sub is the bomb. real ham, none of that lunch meat crap..so is The Cuban..

Excellent Gluten Free options! This is a nice small pizza shop with typical fare, except that you can get anything gluten free! My wife's GF pizza was just as good as any pizza i've had, and I wouldn't have known otherwise. My steak sub was very good, with real steak, etc. Prices are slightly higher than typical pizza/sub fare. Parking is so-so, location is next to Appleby's in colonial park.

I was excited to try this new place, as they try to be health and food allergy conscious. I ordered the Margherita pizza on whole wheat crust. The taste was excellent - great cheese, fresh veggies and not greasy. I found it to be a little pricey ($10 for 9" personal size), but I suppose its worth it for quality ingredients. I really appreciate that try to use locally-sourced ingredients and don't deep fry anything. The staff was VERY nice. Just be warned - this place is take-out only for now. There are no seats inside.

This place rocks! I don't think you will find a pizza place with fresher ingredients, or higher quality food in this area. The Veggie Weggie sub was simply the best veggie sub that I have ever had. Homemade bread, fresh veggies, mmmmmm. My son's black olive pizza had a light crispy crust with a wonderful sauce with chunks of tomatoes. And my wife's garden salad had fresh grilled chicken which was moist, and great fresh greens. Everything was spot on. We will be ordering from them again!

Good pizza! Small place. You can't really eat there, unless it is warm outside (there are picnic tables outside) It's on the more expensive side for pizza, but they use quality ingredients. A lot of the ingredients are local. Very fresh and great flavor! I think they are closed on Sunday's and they aren't open past 9 or 10 depending on the day of the week.

really decent gourmet style pizza. totally tasty. weird hours, they're closed on sundays (i think), which sucks. moderately priced. definitely a little higher-class than i usually indulge in, but still totally righteous for a slice or some garlic knots.

I got a flyer for this pizza place when I moved into the area, and gave them a try. I was very satisfied with the service and food. We just got a large cheese pizza. I thought the sauce was flavorful, and it wasn't too greasy. Had some the next day, and after a night in the fridge it was still yummy (sometimes the crusts can dry out, but this one stayed soft!). I will definitely return.

If you think this is good pizza you need to either get out more often or go to your local supermarket and get a frozen pizza in the frozen food section. I was in Harrisburg, PA for business and was told from a hotel employee that this pizza place was the best. I tried for 20 minutes to call them and kept getting a busy signal, so that only made me think that this place was really good. I finally go through and ordered a deep dish Roma and garlic knots. The garlic knots serving was large enough for two. The garlic was plentiful, but the knots were soft and not very exciting. The sauce it came with was very watery and not very appealing to the taste buds. The pizza was much larger than I expected and was very reasonably priced, BUT the sauce was very similar to something I have gotten from the grocery store. After 3 slices I had enough and decided to feed the dumpster the remaining 5 slices of pizza. Pizza is my number one thing and I'm willing to drive to great lengths for a good pizza, but this shouldn't be your first, second or third choice.

I would give them six stars if I could!

I have been ordering from here for a while as they have gluten free pizza. This time I had delivery. The pizza came early and it was horrible. The minimal amount of dough was completely uncooked in the middle. I just couldn't eat it. I had to throw it away. I'm very upset as they had been good up until now. I just can't justify spending $23.00 w/tip on a pizza I have to throw away. Very sad. Won't be eating from here anymore.

Learn this.

I don't worry that much about that I just think it's great pizza!

really decent gourmet style pizza. totally tasty. weird hours, they're closed on sundays (i think), which sucks. moderately priced. definitely a little higher-class than i usually indulge in, but still totally righteous for a slice or some garlic knots.
