Absolutely most disgusting, filthy, unprofessional restaurant I have ever been. I can not believe I even let my wife talk to into ago. The servers geeezzzzzzz don't even get me started!! What they hell are they smoking they forget everything not only that they spill everything all over you and on your table. Most disgusting bathroom I have ever been in, there was legitimate human fescues smeared all in the bathroom

Did call ahead seating & we were seated immediately. Our waitress Sue was hand downs the best server I've EVER had!!!!! She was very attentive, kept our drinks & bread baskets full. No complaints in the food department.

Another dinner at Red Lobster that I can't complain about. Our waitress Milea was truly excellent. She asked if we would like our 2 year old's food served first. Dining out with little ones at that age is hard, and any distractions, in this case food, works wonders. Very appreciated. Our food was good. The Salmon New Orleans was pretty good. If u like spicy food then this one is for you. My wife had the shrimp linguini, which she said was very good. The little guy had the popcorn shrimp from the kids menu, which he devoured. Overall a good dining experience tonight.

The service is slow , the server was rude. It took her forever to come to the table. When I told her I want warm water because i m getting over a cold, she brought me cold water without ice. When I told her I want just a cup of hot water she brought me a damn tea. Go somewhere else. This place sucks

wow, what a joke. The clam chowder was so watery that it splashed when I let it fall back into the bowl, about the consistency of milk and zero flavor, hardly any pieces of clam and potato. The crab cakes were horrible..had a weird taste and were small and flat, just like the frozen kind you get at the frozen section in the supermarket. I never had a bad crab cake until now. My wife got a shrimp dish and the shrimps were so small and pretty bland. for a place that is supposed to be a seafood place I had better seafood at a diner. and to top it all off its not cheap either. How they stay in business is beyond me...
I came in for CrabFest with my Son and and old friend. Our food was very good and our Server, Jaime R really exceeded expectations! She was knowledgeable, attentive, and didn't miss or forget a thing. She could seriously work in any high-end Bistro in any major City. The only reason I docked a star was that where we were seated - which was at a booth by the windows in the Bar area - was very cold... not very conducive to enjoying a fruity cocktail or a cold beer. I will still definitely return to this location (with a sweater) despite there being another location closer to my home.

The order was not correct, however, the server did credit out order. The food was ok... Nothing to write home about (or yelp about, lol)... The one star was for the service. WOW! GROSS! I was washing my hands in the bathroom before leaving and a server came out of the bathroom stall (was changing toilet paper roll) and walked back into the restaurant without washing hands. Will not return. Ever. Hope this helps.

I've been to Red Lobster on Jonestown rd numerous times but last night was a big disappointment. Cheese biscuits were delicious, as usual, but that's it. Drink was all ice and watered down, ordered dueling ( something) lobster was salty and small. Baked potato was good. Salad was all ice berg lettuce with too much dressing. Excellent waitress. But very disappointed after paying $40 for the meal!! Used to be my fav restaurant -no more.

You can never go wrong with the cheddar biscuits! That's where my satisfaction ends.I ordered the "island-style" mahi mahi special. The fish was over cooked, hard and almost crunchy on the outside and dry and chewy on the inside. It came with a skewer of shrimp that was room-temperature, at best, and flavorless. I woulf guess undercooked, since they were a little mushy. I couldn't even eat half of them. It also came with a side of broccoli that I would have liked steamed more - they were so hard, they could have been raw. My garlic butter mashed potatoes were good, though, and my strawberry lemonade was EXCELLENT. I could've complained and sent my fish back, sure, but it was so hot inside the restaurant, I just really wanted to go. I don't know that I was ever so dissatisfied with this restaurant, but I usually don't go to this location. Beware!

Not all Red Lobsters are this bad. This one is horrible. The food is below average for the chain, but the wait staff and inept management really make this an awful experience. And I have no idea why, but this location is always plagued by flies which is just unnecessary. The last time we were here I was trying to help someone deal after a really hard day. They forgot to assign us to a waitress and seemed put off when we complained after 10 min that no one had even stopped by our table yet. Food took so long to prepare we had to get it to go, and then they got the order wrong! Management seemed like this was normal and were unsympathetic. Will never go to this location again.

Worst birthday dinner ever. Bad menu. Restaurant was dirty. They had no idea what glueten was or how it was in their food. Sad as seafood is gluten free. Most everything on the menu said that they put gluten in it. My boyfriend's shrimp linguini was good but it took several tries to get his food to get to the table. I got the grilled shrimp. The mashed potatoes where like glue and not very warm. The salad was just iceburg lettuce with cucumbers. I was sick as the shrimp was uncooked. No manager asked how our food was. The only thing that saved the dinner was the waitress Heather. She was awesome - friendly, polite, very helpful. She even brought me birthday icecream, because I can't eat gluten. Every waitress should be so awesome. Sadly, it made my boyfriend so angry we will not be back.

I'm on a seafood diet. I see food. I eat it. If you value consistency above all else (freshness, flavor), know this: At Red Lobster, there will be no surprises. And that's something you have to come to grips with as you're downing one salty garlic biscuit after another. This particular Red Lobz is busier than most I've been to, and for this occasion our party of 6+toddler had _2_ servers that seemed at times to be competing with each other. THAT was a bit odd. Each server only dealt with one half of the table. As you'd imagine, salads are all iceberg all the time. But you can sop up the leftover dressing with another biscuit! For dessert, order up a slice of 'just the check', because you will have had way too many biscuits by then.

My husband and I went there to celebrate our 40th Wedding anniversary. What a disappointment, we will never go back. The salad was way overdressed, the lobster was rubbery and overcooked, the green beans were raw (not crispy...so raw they tasted like grass). Our server was terrible, I asked for drawn butter and it took so long for her to bring it, my lobster was cold. I would have ordered a second cocktail but she never came back to our table until we were done eating. She asked if we wanted dessert, we told her yes but she walked away without taking our order. We didn't see her again until she brought our bill to the table!! We were going to order baileys and coffee and dessert. We ended up going to the Giant food store down the road and buying dessert to enjoy at home.

I have eaten here numerous times over the years. People just keep giving me gift cards to it. I am requesting that they don't anymore. I just can't stomach it again. The only thing that is good about this place are the biscuits. FYI I can make them at home anytime I want after looking up the recipe online and they are better than the ones at the restaurant. The shrimp scampi has no resemblance to a real shrimp scampi. It leaves an awful aftertaste. The lobster is usually poorly prepared. The vegetables are so damn raw that they are barely edible. The potatoes are hard as a rock. I have yet to have anything that hasn't turned my stomach. This is literally the worst seafood I've ever eaten. I'll get my own damn lobster, throw it in a pot, clarify some butter and make the biscuits and save myself some money and aggravation. And when I make green beans they won't break your teeth when you bite them. Likewise the potatoes. Disgusting.

4 star upgrade only because they made things right with us. About a month ago my hubby requested Red Lobster take out. First of all, let me tell you that this is not advised. The portions looked too small and when we got home the food was not hot at all. When we went to the 'bar' area to pick things up, our order was sitting out on the bar... probably the reason why the food wasn't very warm. When we got home, we noticed our side orders were missing. I immediately called the manager and spoke to him about how much time it would take for me to drive back there again to pick up our sides and how my food would then be cold and I would not be able to enjoy time with my family like we planned. He said he would compensate me with a gift card usable at any location, at any time. Surprisingly enough, he followed through with his promise and turned the situation around. I'm a fan (4 star) because he did fix this mistake and did it on a grand scale with a $30 gift card.

My wife and I visited the Red Lobster on Jonestown road the other day to cash in our giftcard. we ended up with the creat your own meal sampler with any three items for $ 20.25 plus tax. We got crab alfredo, grilled salmon and alaska snow crab legs. this restaurants is pretty cool, its themed to look like the dock-side or an ocean (if you havent ever been there) they have the live lobster tank where you can pick your own lobster from. their fresh fish changes price each day, so they have a new list waiting (but just like gas it only goes up). all in all it was pretty decent, i really love their biscuits, not healthy but very very good. our wait was about 40 minutes, but we just went down to he mall and shopped. their drinks at the bar are mad overpriced, try 4.25 for one bud light. W E A K. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~update 6-6-08~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ i went back again and got some more food, it was jsut as decent as before, i called my order in ahead of time and showed up about 30 minutes later, we got half-plate of crab alfredo, buscuits and a small salad.

Went on a Friday for my son's b-day. Our waitress was excellent but the meals were hit or miss. I got the Ultimate Feast and the crab legs were old and overcooked. My mom's lobster tail was undercooked and didn't look very appetizing. The rest of the meals were good (crab or shrimp pasta, salmon, fried shrimp, shrimp scampi).

When I first got Harrisburg, I tried to go to this Red Lobster, on a Saturday, and was told that the wait was two hours. ( WTF? ) Having now been to this Red Lobster a few times, I have to say that it is better run and the food quality seems above average for this chain.

I've been to this Red Lobster 80,000 times - no really 80,000, I counted, but I never reviewed it because until recently it wasn't in the database and I was too lazy to add it. Alas, I didn't have to do it myself. So in my 80,000 visits to this particular Red Lobster, I've had my share of menu items and servers. I've never had anything bad and I've never had bad service. Sometimes there's a wait, but it's rarely over 20 minutes. So chef Mia recommends going to Red Lobster, and taking her along of course. Endless Shrimp is the best time of year to go (I say this as I'm curled up on my couch in pain from sheer gluttony), but my other favorite menu items include the Outerbanks Sampler, Create your own sampler thingie, and of course for those overindulgent types (like myself) the ULTIMATE FEAST! For starters try the veggies and calamari or the lobster pizza. And if you're a lush (like myself), you can enjoy some amazing cocktails or mixed drinks. PS - if you're going take me!

Before, we've been to different Red Lobster (HI, WA) many times (can't count). Last Saturday (1.24.09) our first time here in Red Lobster - Harrisburg. My husband planned to go there early dinner to skip the crowd and guess what??? Its really crowded. We got there at 15:15. The hostess said "waiting time is 20-25 minutes". After half hour were still waiting. I asked my husband to go and check how long more b4 they call us and my husband said "they should call us soon dear." This lady who standing closed to us she asked "how long we been waiting" and I said "30-35 minutes" and she said "woooow... I've been here 5 minutes ago and my family not here yet." Just after she said and they page her... probably because of the # of head. So my husband went and asked them why we still waiting and the hostess said "we page you a while ago" OMG whataaaa lierrrrr.... if someone page us we should feel the vibrate, see the light, and hear the pager that they gave us... (ohhh please were not an ignorant) but anyway we wait on their side for couple minutes to get our table ready. The food were pretty good. I ordered the Caribbean meal (Lobster tail, 1 screw of shrimp, baked potato, Caesar salad) and my husband ordered steak and lobster plate and side order of half lb king crab legs. We really enjoyed our meal. The server was friendly but she has a short term memory. While were enjoying our meal the server came and asked everything OK and can I get you anything? I said yes I need an extra lemon wedges for my lobster and my husband ordered an IRISH COFFEE and she said its "whisky not baileys" and my husband said yeah I know. After couple of minutes and she came again and asked same question and she brought me more napkins.... LOL I want more lemon not napkins... We laugh and laugh and laugh.... til we got home My husband can't believed it that she totally forget his IRISH COFFEE and they even have a lil conversation about it... Anyway we did have a good time in there even it was sucks about the waiting and not giving you of what you want... I gave you 2 stars = 1 for the friendly server and 1 for the good food

I've been coming here off and on for many years with my family. While this Red Lobster isn't always excellent, it's pretty consistently good. The food here is well known for being buttery and salty ("unlimited" cheddar bay biscuits, etc.), but they have cut back a bit in recent times. The place was packed with a line out the door. Surprisingly, we were seated fairly quickly, and our food was served in a reasonable amount of time. The salad is pretty standard. It had a bit too much bleu cheese dressing, and it mainly consisted of iceberg lettuce, shredded cabbage, and a couple tomato wedges. The ingredients were fresh, and the lettuce was crispy. For my entrée, I had the Sailor's Platter which came with two types of shrimp, a fish fillet, and a side. I'm not going to pretend to know what type of fish was served, but I'll guess that it was broiled flounder. It was slightly overcooked and had a soft texture, but it was very flavorful. The shrimp scampi was pretty buttery, but the shrimp were surprisingly firm and tasted very real. You only get a few fried shrimp (and a big cup of cocktail sauce for them), but they were nicely breaded and a good size. Typically, the larger the shrimp, the better the taste, so I was pleased. The mashed potatoes were mixed well and not too creamy. It's nice that you can order from the lunch menu on Sundays. I got a salad, unlimited biscuits, and a nice-sized platter for $11. Our server was extremely attentive, and the restrooms and dining area were clean. I left the restaurant very satisfied. I know that people disrespect chains, but give it a shot if you want a seafood dinner in Harrisburg.
