I love this cozy place! The sandwich that rocks is the Michael, though I've had a few other items and they were excellent as well. The staff is friendly and personable. You can't get better than that - great food and great service.

I need a good 30 minutes to construct a proper review on how amazing this "hidden gem"! Maybe when I'm done with my lox!

This place is solid to me. It's good food, and I would definitely come back. That being said, I'm not overly impressed or anything. The place is small and inconspicuous, hidden back in a little strip mall of Linglestown. I probably would have never ever noticed it. I wanted to get sandwiches and soup, so we came here. Well, they didn't really have soup (just chicken noodle) so we ending up eating other things. I tried breakfast, which was decent. An omelette that was well made with onions and cheese - the onions were a tad undercooked, but I can deal. Home fries were fine - a little dry, nothing special. The best part for me was the pumpernickel toast. My husband got a new yorker panini - which proved to be the better choice. The beef was good and the sandwich was super cheesey. The waffle fries we got on the side were pretty darn good as well. I was a little annoyed that we were charge the full price for the waffle fries which we got in place of potato salad and something else - meaning we didn't get the things the sandwich came with, but had to pay full price for another side. Not okay in my book. Prices were fine, I suppose, but I know I can get similar diner style food multiple places in the area at a much cheaper price. It's family owned, which is nice, but also really weird when you aren't a regular. I stick out in Harrisburg already, but I felt really out of place here. Everyone knew each other and that's great - but our waitress was a little off put when we didn't know what we wanted in the first like 1 minute, then again about 3 minutes later. I felt almost unwanted and different, more than any other restaurant I've been to in Harrisburg. Anyhow, good food though. If you are in the area and want breakfast on Sunday, it's not too crowded!

This is one of my favorite lunch spots for several reasons: wide selection on the menu, service is good, staff is friendly, food comes out very quickly, food is consistently great, low to moderate prices. Some of my food favorites include: the veganini (great for vegetarians), the capri sandwich, buffalo chicken wrap, taco salad, the omelets (big and flavorful) sweet potato fries, and potato salad (homemade). You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! It's a small place, but you won't be disappointed!!!

Hard to believe there's such a glaring lack of Jewish/Kosher bakeries in Harrisburg, especially given the fact that there's a reasonably large Jewish population. With that, I took my girlfriend to Mr. Deli this morning, promising her an "authentic" bagel and, with any luck, a black-and-white cookie. First, no cookies. And second, and far more disturbing, was the piss-poor quality of our bagels. Um, really? Not only were they not made on the premises, but I'd wager they were frozen bagels. Seriously disappointing. Oh, and for the record, we stood at the counter for nearly five minutes before anyone waited on us. No thanks, Mr. Deli. And no thanks to you, too, Mrs. Deli.

This place never disappoints, maybe because I know the menu by heart. Nice to see them doing a good business. Food consistently good, service is friendly and prices reasonable.

I come here occasionally for breakfast or lunch with friends or family purely because it's close. I do not come for the food. Calling this a NY Deli is an insult to NY Deli's First it's not a deli at all, but more of a diner. It's easy to make tasty omelets and homefries and coffee. However Mr Deli's omelets and homefries are bland. The coffee is perhaps the worse of any restaurant I've tried in the area, really just dark water. The bagels are no different than you get from the grocery store. (try Bagel Lovers for decent bagels) The service is great and friendly however. But if the food had more flavor and soul, I'd be here twice a week. So much potential, but the kitchen is a huge let down. Great place to meet the community and socialize though! Just wish it came close being a real NY deli!

Probably the best new york style deli in Harrisburg, but that's not saying much since it claims to be Harrisburg's ONLY New York style deli. The menu had heaps of options and everything is well under $10 so you can't really go wrong stopping by and grabbing a quick lunch. I tried the condor sandwich was was good, but not great (the bread seems like an afterthought). Came with a tiny amount of potato salad as well as pickles for the table. My waitress was very friendly and good at what she does, overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Fantastic food and service with a smile. I have become a regular at this place on weekends, at least one day for brunch. There is something for everyone on the menu. I recommend the Tuna salad sandwich and I'm sure my husband would recommend the Eggs Benedict, as he orders it every time!

Not much else to choose from in the immediate area, but my breakfast was disgusting thanks for the hair from the cook in my burnt home fries. How hard is it to make breakfast, really?

Overview: Small deli offering a wide variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads in a small strip mall. Food: I ordered a Rachel, which was Hot Corned Beef, Hot Turkey, Melted Swiss and Provolone, Russian Dressing, Topped with Sauerkraut, Grilled on Pumpernickel. My boyfriend ordered a Reuben and my friend got the Capri, which was Grilled Chicken Breast, Crisp Bacon, Tomato, Mozzarella Cheese and Basil Pesto Sauce. They were all served with a pickle spear and potato salad. We all really enjoyed our food. The Reuben and Rachel were a tad on the salty side, but with those types of sandwiches, it's to be expected. The potato salad is really good. Coming from someone who doesn't usually like it, I thought it was awesome. The pickles were a nice touch too! Recommend: Their sandwiches and potato salad. Atmosphere: Very nice interior, with plenty of seating. Very clean. Service: Honestly, the only reason this place did not get 5 stars is because of the service. The first time we were there, we came 30 minutes before closing and were basically told to get take out because they knew we couldn't eat that quickly and they weren't staying later than they had to. The second time we came earlier and sat, but our waitress didn't seem to know anything about the deli. My friend asked if they had unsweetened iced tea and she said she didn't know and so left, presumably to find out. Instead, after about 10 minutes, she returned with three iced teas, one of which we never even ordered. She gave them to us and still never told my friend if it was sweetened or not. So I definitely feel the service could step it up a notch, but otherwise it's a really nice place to eat, especially in an area where there's not much choice.

As a lunch option when you are in that area, I would say it's OK. I did take out. Everything tasted fresh and there was good ratios inside each of the items ordered by my Co workers. I have had better, but considering the lack of better options in the area, this place dominates the area market. The service was very good. I asked for my side of fries to be placed in a container that wouldn't cause it to sweat and they made it happen. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but worth stopping into if you are in the area.

Lots of options! I have only tried one of their sandwiches but it was very good and my waitress was delightful. A lot of things left to try, I'll be back!

Had the Mr. Deli wrap, it is delicious. The homemade cranberry sauce is fabulous with the roasted turkey. Husband had the roast beef, and enjoyed it as well. The potato salad is decent, and the pickle was crisp. The service is lacking, no smiling faces or extra care. But the lunch is great for take out .

Perfect deli with some New York specialties. I had blintzes and latkes today. Both were wonderful. My son was in the mood for an omelet and loved it. My coffee cup never went below half full. The servers were always there with a fresh pot keeping everyone's cup full. Great food in a friendly environment.

A solid deli. Came here twice when in the area for classes at HACC. Plenty of seating, diverse menu selection, and perfect size portions. I plan on coming back here next month as well.
