I have only been to this place twice . Both times where for an after funeral gathering with 20 or so people. We set this event up with Belinda who was amazing. She walked is through everything and helped pick out a select menu. She catered to the few people with food allergies and made the whole event seamless . The food was awesome especially the Kobe beef meatloaf . I can not thank her enough for the good time that was had by all.

All the food is of good sized potions. And all of it was very good. Staff was very friendly. The calamari was excellent.

As a tourist, I probably was expecting more just because of what I had heard about the restaurant. It was good, service was friendly, and it was a clean environment, but the food was... Nothing spectacular. It was still good, if I were in the area i would probably go again, but it's not a place I would necessarily recommend to anybody or take friends visiting from out of town.

Good food and nice atmosphere. Ordered prime rib which was a generous piece and cooked just the way I wanted it.

I have always avoided this place. It always looked trashy to me. I don't like the parking arrangement and I never knew of anyone who actually ate here. At one point my friend told me she got a sub and it was OK. That didn't change my mind any. Still, one day with lunch on my mind I ran through the list of places I hadn't been to. Low and behold the closest was Gilligan's. As we drove up to the place I remember complaining about the parking even before we turned in. We even had to sit and wait on some traffic trying to navigate their way out of the lot. All the while I'm admiring Taco Bell across the way while scolding myself to stick with my choice. It couldn't be that bad. And it wasn't! This place was great. Its even upscale! Forget the shoddy external appearance, the inside is pretty swanky. Now let's talk food. While heading to our table we passed the daily specials board and I knew what I wanted. Perhaps it was spite in me, wanting to be right for having avoided this place for so long, but whatever it was I decided to order the Crab Cake. Now this may not seem like a big deal but rest assured crab cakes are something I often avoid while eating out. Why? Because if I wanted a $13 lump of stuffing I would go buy Stroehmann's. Once again however, Gilligan's got me. It was the best Crab Cake I've ever gotten at any restaurant. Additionally, the Lobster Bisque was just as hearty. The French Onion soup was cheesy, but in a good way, but kudos go to the appetizer. Its not too often that a restaurant comes up with their own unique plate that's actually superb. Forget thawing out any mozzarella sticks for me. I want the Gilligan's Alternative! In closing, the person who I ate with eventually came to find out his son had eaten here some time ago and hated it. It was trashy and the food was lousy. So I was right! Regardless, I am not sure when the revamp occurred but excellent job!

This place has a huge menu with a wide range of different options. I had a turkey sandwich with fries which was really good. I'd say the quality is a step up from diner food.

Stopped in when we were in town for a local lacrosse tournament and had no idea what to expect. They quickly accommodated our large party; the food was great and the service wasn't too shabby either.

Awesome service, awesome food, and an awesome atmosphere. I will be coming back. The wings were amazing!!! My server was Chris and he was more that helpful and very attentive!

I have only been here once but I was pretty impressed with the menu and quality of the food. I chose the create your own pasta thing which was ideal for me. The angelhair pasta was excellent and the marinara sauce was decent. I also got mushrooms in it which was a great option to have. The menu is huge and there are choices for everyone. The Alfredo sauce gives everyone I know the shits though. Its very loud if you get seated near the bar, and we went around 6:00pm. The atmosphere was not exactly what I like, because of the noise it was hard to hear the people even at my table. I would go again if it was brought up. My stomach was a little upset the next couple days, but that could be unrelated.

The group I was with recommended this restaurant. Thought it would be more of a sports bar but it turned out they have an extensive menu. The salmon I ordered was a generous portion with a large choice of sides. The food came out hot and was perfectly prepared. No service issues and I plan to return here when I'm in the area. The high top table we were seated at could have had better lighting but that's my only complaint.

I had the Sante Fe burger plate. It was good. Comes with chips, had to pay extra to get french fries. Also had Crab Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer. They were ok. Nice atomsphere! Not a dive at all. Good seating options, bar, tables, booths. I came to watch Football! It had lots of TV's which I love! Food: 3+. above average. nothing great. Service: 4+. Very attentive. They were all dressed up for Halloween. Fun! Atmosphere:: 4+. Nice! It has a back area that is more of a restaurant without the TV's if you want that. All in all, not bad. Nice atmosphere, nice wait staff, I would like to try other items on the menu. Much better that other Sports bars I have been to.

I love this place. Service is always awesome and wait staff/bar tenders are always attentive. The burgers are pretty good. Good quality beef and a good overall flavor. We also like the spinach dip. It was VERY good and a mainstay of my bar apps there. A decent selection of beer and a pretty good local neighborhood bar. If you're looking for really good bar food and few drinks without a long wait, then give this place a t ry. They also have a lot of TV's for watching sporting events.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for dinner after spending the day at Hershey Park. We showered first, naturally. We were greeted and sat instantly. It was the start of the Olympics and the place was what seemed to be medium capacity. We looked over a large menu which looked like it could accommodate everyone. We started out with fried calamari. It was fresh with plenty of legs, which I love. Girlfriend hates them, so I get them all. We both had salads. I had Caesars, she had a boring house salad. Both were fresh and good. We then ordered Marsala sauce, she had the chicken, I had the veal. The Marsala sauce was thick and clung to the veal. I love it that way. The veal was sliced thin and there was plenty of it. Our meals included two sides. I chose a baked potato and baked asparagus. Everything was excellent. Even the basket of garlic bread that I forgot to mention earlier. They kept on top of refills and took away plates promptly, without being annoying. Know what I mean. Would stop by again anytime. Wish this place was where I lived. Keep up the good work.

I love this bar. They have a huge menu!!! I like to sit at the bar where my favorite bartender Chris tells jokes and silly facts. Trivia on Tuesdays are tons of fun!!! It's close to the mall so it's a perfect stop after some frustrating shopping. I have never been disappointed with the soups, clearly made in-house from scratch! I often get the prime rib...slow roasted and served with warm au jus- go for the king cut- worth every penny! The steak quesadilla is also a must! The kitchen is very talented and caters to any reasonable request- this is a special touch, people who actually care about what the guest wants!

We eat at Gilligan's several time a year & we sit in the dining room. I am not a fan of their red sauce, but other than that, the food is delicious. There is only one server that I would say is poor, the rest are very nice & professional. It is a little pricey, otherwise I would eat there more often.

I haven't eaten here much. You aren't going to find the best food out there at Gilligans. This one has a better dining room than the location on Eisenhower. We've went there for our holiday luncheons because it is relatively close to the office and they've always done a decent job with large groups. Last time I was there I had a salad which was good and somewhat different because it had cranberries on it, but there was entirely too much dressing on it. I will sometimes come here for a beer since I live out in the suburbs and don't want to bother with going down town. The bar food is just that, nothing really special. Although, we did get a plate of onion rings and it was massive. Good thing I love onion rings.

This was really a 2 and a half. This is a "locals" sports bar. I sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks and although the barkeeps were polite, I didn't feel they were as attentive to me as they were to the locals. The food was mediocre and like others, I thought it was pricey for what it was. I had the steak salad and I thought that the steak was lacking. I have to disagree with the beer prices, as I thought that they fell into range for the area. It is a little loud, but there are lots of TV's and they have most of whatever season's games (baseball now) on, so I was able to watch my local game as I ate (couldn't hear it, but at least I could see it). They do score in the beer take out department though. Pennsylvania is strange about the six pack and most of the time you have to go to a bar and purchase on at the bar prices (i.e. $2.50 each bottle) - these guys have a decent mainstream selection for pretty much normal prices. I do have to make the distinction that I picked this place because I Yelp'd all of the other places around and couldn't find a whole lot of good things said about them while this at least had a couple good comments.

I was really disappointed when I visited this place some time ago, the service was poor and the food was way overpriced for what we ordered. The interior of the place is nice enough, with a sports bar, pool tables and darts. Decent selection of beer and wine, traditional American fare and seafood.

Good selection of beer to-go. Good place to get wings, too. Those are usually my only reasons to go, but have had the food in the past and it's always been better than your typical sports bar. Oh yeah, lots of big tv's, pool tables, games, etc

A tad expensive but our steak was well worth it! They have a share plate cost which was perfect for us. The steaks are huge, smallest is 8oz with the largest at 20 ozs. A great selection for everyone to chose from.

This was an unfortunate dining experience for me and my husband. First the waitress was not pleasant and had no sense of customer service. Second I the meal I ordered was missing a MAIN ingredient. Gilligan's Advanced Alternative meal boasts jumbo lump crabmeat, shrimp and scallops in the dish. There was no crab! Not a single piece. After waiting patiently for 10 minutes the waitress returned to fix the mistake but the damage was done. The food was cold, the waitress continued to be rude and we were not impressed at all.

Although its been quite awhile, I didnt find any of the food the good, and the beer was expensive. If I wanted to pay 8.95 for 2 portabello mushrooms i'd go to the ritz-carlton. Seriously. Maybe the idea is to get everyone drunk so they cant tell they're eating bad food.
