Stopped in for breakfast this morning. Pancakes and French toast was pretty good. The wait was not too long to be seated, and waitress was kind. The employee and cook were fighting, but this didn't effect us. Overall, I would recommend this place in the future, although this is nothing special...

I have visited this one over the years, several times. It offers all kinds of food at a reasonable price (anything off of long island is reasonably priced). The waitress this time was a little stale, but we were not there to chat and make small talk. I ordered the turkey(as I usually do) and my daughter ordered soup. It was pretty decent for a good price. This place reminds me of Dennys.

Good food, nice selection, but dirty carpets and slow staff. Would have been a 3 1/2 if those items were addressed. A breakfast that takes a total of 1 hr and 45 minutes is unacceptable.

Continuing our ongoing survey of the Fine Dining Establishments of Eisenhower Blvd., we come to Bob Evans. We'd never been to a Bob Evans before but had seen the meat products at the Grocery Store. We walked in and I thought, oh, its a cross between IHOP and the Cracker Barrel, with the Folksy historic Harrisburg photos and the Gift Kiosk at the Hostess Station. Fortunately the food exceeded expectations. I had the Beef Stew on Potatoes and Biscuits deep dish special. ( Because, as I tell my lovely wife, everything tastes better on or with mashed potatoes. ) My vivacious wife had the turkey dinner and was pretty impressed with her food, too. The pricing was right about what we expected to pay for the amount of food we got and the banana nut bread and blueberry bread were both tasty and included in the entree price. Two things bothered us about the restaurant. One was the hostess. While waiting we were chatting with another customer in line. The hostess came up and asked if we were a party of four. When we said no, she said why don't you sit together anyway so you can keep talking? Then she insisted two or three more times to seat us together while we politely declined. We thought that was odd Also, because the kitchen is not separated from the dining room, you can hear, among other things the manager shouting to the staff that they needed more hamburger buns. It won't stop us from returning but we did think it worth mentioning.

We decided to have breakfast before we headed back to NY, it was an amazing choice. The kids loved it and the biscuits were to die for. We had fee refills on our awesome French vanilla coffees. Excellent service all around. If I'm in the area i would def go here again. Not pricey at all.

I hate being a negative person, but this was a let down. I know it's a chain restaurant, but i never had a bad experience at bob evans, it's just not a place i go to. I've never had blander food, the hash browns were dry and had no seasoning, the eggs were the same. The biscuits however were overly salty. It could be that we caught them on a bad day. I would say proceed with caution.

We decided to try Bob Evan's for breakfast today. It was pretty packed due to Fathers Day but we didn't have to wait long. Once seated the waitress immediately came over to get our orders. I ordered the farmers breakfast with French toast which is a little of everything and my husband got the same with the strawberry crepes. Both of our food was amazing. I definitely recommend the cheesy hash brown casserole. We loved it and will be back!

Some really good tasty food here! Very friendly upbeat staff. They have a southern flare and really fresh well seasoned food. Check for coupons, a kind gentlemen gave us a $4 off $20+ one.

Burned home fries twice, watery cheese eggs, uncooked sausage links, less than good pancakes, and I ordered a salad to go and it was just so poorly thrown in a box, the chicken looked odd and I will never eat at THIS Bob Evans again. No kisses for the chef

We ate at Bob Evans for breakfast on our way to Hershey Park because we didn't see our usual IHOP. Our 1st time eating there and it was great, exactly what this fam of 5 needed for a long day at the park. 2 days later we decided to have breakfast there again, this time at the one right down the street from our hotel in Harrisburg. This one wasn't as busy and our waitress was awesome, super friendly, funny, very attentive. We filled up again for another busy day before we go home. We did not try their lunch or dinner but if it's anything like breakfast they will not disappoint, we even brought their bread for snacks on the way home, delicious!!!

Waited while hostess continued conversation with customer about mutual friends, no one greeted or asked to seat me. I needed to see if they had a plug in for my laptop. I left and called them they answered asked if take out and I said I had one quick question, they put me on hold.

Ate breakfast here before a long day on the road. Service was prompt and courteous. Food was on-par with Denny's or IHOP. Nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either.

As a frequent business traveler to the area, there were dinner times when other ideas were exhausted, or a quick and filling dinner required no further embellishment. Bob Evans has a wholesome Americana vibe, in their setting, service and food. I've pretty much stuck to their chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy; it is under-seasoned but tasty. The service here leaves a bit to be desired. While friendly, and at times, chatty, it tends to be slow and poorly motivated-- particularly at the reception/cashier area. In summary, adequate with neither surprises nor disappointments.
