Hubby and I love to come here when we're just looking for an inexpensive place to have a great down-home meal. The early-bird specials are large and cheap. I usually end up taking home half of my dinner.

We eat at this restaurant often. Service is most often very good and the meals are so-so chain restaurant food. Never had a "terrible" meal. Biggest complaint is the music is too dang loud. Reba at 5db is bad enough but 100db is waaaaayyyy to much.

I love Roadhouse! I have been here several times and always leave wanting to come back! My only real complaint is the wait is always so long! There is no reservations and they won't seat you unless your entire party is present. I highly recommend the call ahead seating to get your name on the list in advance. I wish there was a better system for this but I guess this is just a popular place to eat. Atmosphere is casual and it is loud as is common with places like this. Booth, tables and bar seating. TVs to view the games by the bar. Staff has generally been pretty friendly and helpful. Peanuts on every table and at the bar. As far as the food goes, I can't get enough of the warm rolls they serve with the cinnamon butter! There is just something about these rolls that are always fresh from the oven served with delicious whipped cinnamon butter that makes me want to keep eating them until I'm sick! We even bought these from the restaurant to bake for Thanksgiving last year! I always get the Grilled Chicken Salad when I come because I think it's the perfect balance of salad, chicken and toppings. I also love a good frozen margarita and they are quite good here with lots of flavor and a good size. Overall, I love Texas Roadhouse and will absolutely be back! I have 4/5 stars only because of the long wait times. If your willing to wait and not too hungry already, it is worth it in my opinion!

On Tuesday, May 5 I was there with 2 other friends shortly after it opened and was quite slow still with few customers a this point. Tiffany was our server. We were there for the frozen Tuesday Margarita Mugs. I have been raving about to anyone who will listen for the past few years about how these are the best margaritas since Chi Chi's. Anyway, each of us had one mug. They were frozen & delicious. Then one of my friends ordered a peach margarita. When it arrived, it was more "on the rocks" than it was frozen. Our server wasn't around for a few minutes after that so Mark took it upon himself to go to the bar himself & tell the bartender that it was not frozen. When he came back to the table, he seemed confused and didn't have an answer if there was a problem with ice or the machine and he brought back his watery-looking drink. So after 5 minutes we asked a busboy to send over Tiffany as we the other 2 of us wanted a different flavor of margarita ourselves. When Tiffany arrived at our table she told us that the bartender would not-refused-serve us any more margaritas, much to the interest of everyone seated around us, who all looked over. We were certainly not obnoxious or inebriated at all, not loud at all as I hate scenes so we knew that was not it. But the server said she didn't know why and that the manager on duty, Stacey, would be over to explain it. We explained to Tiffany that we were only there for the delicious margaritas, which we usually have 2 of the mugs. She once again explained that Stacey refused us any more margarita. Well, Stacy never made it to the table even though we were there for another 20 minutes. We even asked one more time about the margaritas, as Tom, the 3rd member of our party never had one before & loved his first one, which was coconut. I was humiliated as Tom has never been to the TX Roadhouse and was meeting us there to try the margaritas. I go to WCCC and I have so many of my classmates and professors coming up there for those margaritas which I now regret sending everyone there in case they also have this experience and my personal reviews will no longer be credible. Yes, we specifically asked Tiffany why and she said she did not know. I was told when I asked Tiffany to speak to the general manager Jim M. that he is no longer there. HE would have at least explained why we were rudely shut down. Edited: 5 Stars due to bartender Malloy. We went back on Tuesday May 19 and Tuesday May 25. This time we didn't want to be at a table and sat at the bar. We decided that our unpleasant experience on May 5 should not take away years of lovely meals but nonetheless, we weren't gong to eat a meal at all & have a margarita. (We weren't that forgiving from out last visit and didn't want to spend too much $ this time) Mallory, the very cute, sweet & bubbly bartender waited on us both times. Now she's a sweetheart. We liked her enough to go back the following Tuesday & have her wait on us again. She made up for the previous unpleasant service we had received on 5/5/15. I did end up ordering an appetizer even though we didn't plan to eat. She is the ONLY reason we went back, so kudos to Mallory for her consistently good service. We actually brought up our negative experience from May 5. Mallory was quite diplomatic and said on that day there were problems with the ice machine or some machine wasn't properly working and frozen margaritas weren't so frozen. NOW why couldn't Tiffany have said that in the first place instead of being oh-so-evasive when we DIRECTLY asked why we could not get a second margarita?? This server seemed to relish in having the other fellow diners look over & watch as she told us we could no longer have margaritas, like we were some rude, loud drunks. All she had to say was that the margarita maker was not properly working. (Now why did she NOT that? Only she knows) Oh, and we also found out that Jim M. is STILL the general manager. Apparently the server Tiffany was not entirely truthful when she said that he no longer worked there. Good thing that I was not a secret shopper myself. At this point I should mention that I had worked at the Texas RH when it first opened in 1999-was hired before they even opened thanks to the general manager Jim M"s mother, whom I waited in when I was a server at Chesterfield's in North Huntingdon. She liked me enough to tell me 4 times during her visit to apply at her son's new restaurant that was opening in Greensburg. I did & was hired. Anyway, I actually waited on a secret shopper myself (back in 99) & had an wonderful review-it even said I would be great management material, which was awesome but not an interest of mine. Incidentally, I hope they still use these secret shoppers to keep certain servers on their toes-and also so management knows who should not be a member of their team. Sometimes they find out too late & in the process lose some valuable customers.

This place was super packed on a Saturday night with a 60-70 minute wait. My wife and two children went. We were seated within 40 minutes and the service was fantastic even with how busy it was. However, my ribs were on the dry side. They came out a little too much well done but I'm willing to overlook that. Everything else was really good. They really seem to know how to handle the crowds well. They are well staffed and pretty organized. The waitresses remain extremely friendly even though their heads are probably spinning. We will be back for sure.

We have really grown to like the Greensburg, PA location and I would say when we dine out they end up our choice 33% - 40% of the time. While they have call ahead seating we typically fail to do this and the wait to get seated on most evenings and weekends can range anywhere from 15 - 60 minutes. If the wait wasn't so long they would probably get more visits from us. The atmosphere is one of those rough hewn exposed timber steak places that serves peanuts in a galvanized bucket so it is a little difficult to speak of cleanliness. It appears clean the food portions are good as well as the price. We haven't had a bad or inattentive server yet and can only remember on one visit that I considered sending one of my sides back since it wasn't warm. It is fun with medium to loud music, televisions, full bar and is a folksy moderately priced chain steak house. The Texas Roadhouse to me falls between a Hoss's and a Ruth's Chris.

My mom loves this restaurant ! She goes there twice a week. I have never had a bad experience. Good food. And most importantly. It's consistent. Five stars if they brought drink refills faster.

Amazing dinner rolls, delicious ribeyes, and generally large sides. The experience here is much like other Texas Roadhouses that I have been to and I am generally happy with my experiences, so I am surprised at the low reviews for this one. The food came out quickly, the waitress was friendly, and everything was cooked well. I will be back!

I had dinner here tonight with my family and realized that this establishment serves low quality cuts of meat and the management cannot identify cuts of meat. (The only other explanation is that the management tries to pull bait and switch) For dinner, three of us ordered the sirloin, one ordered a filet. When the steaks were delivered to our table, the FILET was TOUGHER than any of the SIRLOINS. All of the steaks were prepared medium rare. We told the manager when she stopped by our table, and she offered to provide another filet. When our server arrived to take the filet back to the kitchen, she commented that it looked like the filet was full of gristle. When the "replacement filet" arrived, it was actually a SIRLOIN. We pointed this out to our server, who called over the manager to address the situation. The manager insisted that the "replacement filet" was indeed a filet, despite the fact that the steak had exactly the same shape, thickness, and texture of the other sirloins at the table. Needless to say, the cut looked nothing like a filet, but it was not worth arguing over, since the manager had clearly made up her mind and who was only interested in turning the table as quickly as possible. I did not want to embarrass the manager in front of her wait staff, so I refrained from informing her that I know a thing or two about cuts of meat, because one of my family businesses is a beef slaughter house, and she is definitely passing off a sirloin as a filet! I will not be returning to this restaurant! (The one star is for the fact that this place does serve good sirloin and bread, otherwise the rating should be zero stars)

I would like to give the Texas Roadhouse near Greensburg an outstanding rating . The dual chops were well prepared. The baked potato was enhanced by the butter and sea salt. The rolls were delicious. The server,Amanda, and the rest of the staff did a fine job of customer satisfaction.

It wasn't that the steak was burnt. It was the person who did it and tried to hide it by putting the burnt side down on the plate. Why not fix it? That's the question.

They seated seven adults in one booth. We were cramped and uncomfortable. The ribs were dry and over cooked. An hour later I had a stomach ache.

I took my Dad here yesterday for Father's Day. This place is average at best. Let's start with the good things. Salads are awesome; the bring them out cold, have egg, croutons, and plenty of other goodies on them. The rolls are always yummy; bring them out hot & the cinnamon butter is perfect. The atmosphere is a lot of fun too! So here's what I'm not so thrilled about: I bought a tall Yeungling & an MGD bottle for $8. Really?!?! A bit steep on the price. The steak was ok, definitely not excellent. And the biggest mistake: they brought the entree to us while we were still eating our salads. I can't stand that!! As far as chains, it's ok...and that's it.

Yummy food, large portions, and quick service. The music is way too loud though if you're trying to have a conversation.

Great Food & Great Service! I went here on a limb. My husband and I were about an hour from home and wanted to get some dinner. We decided to stop here since we used to go to one when we were dating. We were absolutely pleased with both the service and the food. We were immediatly greated by a nice hostess who sat us immediately. Our waitress came over, introduced herself, provided some insight to the menu, and took our drink orders. She was very knowledgable about the beer as well. We told her we were in no rush this evening. She made ur dining experience fantastic. The food was cooked to perfection. I had some special requests which were all met. She didn't miss a thing. I even asked her if you could make requests for music and she said they normally don't but took mine anyway! The Manager also made her way around the restaurant and I made it a point to say how wonderful our waitress was. If we lived closer to this restaurant we would probbaly go there more often! There is not one negative thing I could say about this place, the service, or the food! Happy Dining!

Just one question. How could anyone think it is ok to (unapologetically) sit a party of 5 at a small booth that barely fits four with a folding chair stuck at the end?

Because I finally have the time, I will be reviewing my favorite steakhouses. This is not one of them. Yesterday, my family went to Texas Roadhouse for Mother's day. We were happy that unlike most chains, they had "call ahead" seating. For those of you unfamiliar with this process, one calls not to make a reservation, but to tell the restaurant that you will be there within the hour. Twenty minutes away, we were given a wait time of 70 minutes. We took our time and even went shopping before we actually arrived at the restaurant. When we did, (around 6:30 on a Saturday), it was PACKED. Filled to the brim. People standing around, even waiting by diners. Our wait time turned out to be over an hour and a half. When we were seated, a very cheerful and knowledgable waitress took us through the menu and then departed. The pros to this place? Service is fast, even when they are crowded. Everything is generally cheap. The most expensive steaks are less than $25. The cons? Steaks taste cheap. Side dishes are forgotten. Also, to this day I would like to implore to some restaurants that pepper sauce is NOT gravy. I ordered my steak medium and it arrived well-done. Others' were cooked to order. It's a crapshoot, I suppose. Frankly, I don't expect much from chains unless I am seeking out cheddar biscuits or a soup and salad lunch. But this restaurant left me very disappointed. Shouldn't a popular restaurant servce better food?

One hesitates when considering entering a place with the name Texas Roadhouse, and yes, as it turns out, this place is a bit rowdy. But instead of being full of good ol' boys taking turns throwing each other out the front door, it is rowdy with regular folks enjoying being anything but fancy. Your immediate tip off should be the giant barrel of peanuts placed by the front door, and the inevitable mess left behind all around it on the floor. Rowdy style or not, this is a family place, and the servers are all polite young women. The place seemed fairly busy as we arrived on a Friday night and we were informed by our waitress that it was in fact very slow for a Friday. Be warned. As you sit down your space is limited by two buckets on the table - one full of peanuts, the other for shells...hmm. What is it with Western PA busboys - another damp table! Ever heard of drying it off? Gross. In the end - very good ribs and steak. I had the chicken by mistake - a little grilled slab with some sauce thrown on it as an afterthought. If you can handle the atmosphere you can have a pretty decent meal. In the end, though, perhaps it isn't quite my style - though perhaps in a pinch I'll return simply to humor myself with a big helping of middle America.

Texas Roadhouse is usually our place of choice for a good tasting steak. The staff is usually very friendly and accommodating. They have a nice sized menu, and their prices are fairly reasonable. The one thing I don't like is the fact that the last 2 times we have been there, we were seated at this little 2-seater table, and it was so small, nothing fit on it. We had to ask them to take the peanuts away, because it took up half of the table. It's also usually a very long wait to get in, and even though they DO have call ahead seating, it's still a very lengthy wait.

I have eaten at Texas Roadhouses in Billings, MT and State College, PA and enjoyed them both very much. While I was searching for a nice restaurant near Greensburg for a dinner with some friends who live in that area, I was very happy to find a Texas Roadhouse, but surprised at the mediocre reviews left here on Yelp. I think that somebody complaining about a big crowd is undermining their criticism when it is apparent that the place is very popular. Another complaint about cheap tasting steaks didn't discourage me because I actually enjoy cheap tasting steaks. (Have you ever tried Kobe beef? I prefer a steak with some crunch to it). So, I visited Texas Roadhouse in Greensburg with my wife and another couple and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We did use the "call ahead" feature and it worked great. In spite of the crowd, we were seated within five minutes of arrival. We were greeted immediately after being seated and our dinners were delivered in a timely manner. We enjoyed the peanuts during that short wait and those dinners rolls and sweet butter were irresistible. We ordered a bloomin' onion which was also irresistible to the point that my wife later suffered heart-burn from the yummy fried coating (watch out for that). The "cheap tasting" steak was very satisfying, especially as I ordered it smothered with mushrooms and onions. The service was friendly and prompt and we were not rushed to leave when we were done. I look forward to my next excuse to eat at Texas Roadhouse in Greensburg or elsewhere.
