Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

i'm a fan of olive garden. it's not REAL italian food, but it still hits the spot sometimes. this is the closest one to my house growing up, so it's the one i've been to most often. i've always had an enjoyable time here. never had bad experiences with the food or the service. the only reason i give it 4 instead of 5 stars is the same reason i'd rate any olive garden... it's frozen commercialized italian food. it's not homemade. it's not REAL. other than that, it's still tasty, and the endless salad and breadsticks can't be beat. this particular visit, i have to give props to our waitress, cassandra t. she did an excellent job giving us recommendations and checking up on us throughout the meal. i do have to say i think it was a little pricey, but i can't say i didn't expect to spend at least $50 considering we got a bottle of wine, an app, and an entree each.

I hadn't been to an Olive Garden in years. The menu is pretty different now. No more pizza, and it seems a little smaller and just a little less Italian somehow. But I chose well, I got the braised beef and tortellini, and it was super awesome. Portobello mushrooms and braised beef chunks with asiago filled tortellini, swimming in a gravy-like flavorful sauce that I recommend scooping up with a breadstick. Molto bene. I might try my hand at a homemade version. Our waitress was also very cute. She was enthusiastic, always remembered our requests, and had just the sweetest personality. She actually asked us to ask for her next time we came. I don't think I've ever had a waitress do that. I believe her name was Allison, and she was great. My biggest complaint with olive garden is the noise level. It's seriously the loudest restaurant ever on the weekends. I understand that OG prides themselves on being a family restaurant, but it sounded like an overcrowded daycare center in there last night. Screaming children EVERYWHERE. Don't get me wrong, I'm not totally unsympathetic. Parents gotta eat somewhere other than fast food occasionally, and OG is family friendly. But I just wish the restaurant had a quiet corner somewhere so when your hard-of-hearing grandparents are with you, you don't have to scream at them all night long. I left with a headache last night and today my throat hurts. Also, when walking through the restaurant, I noticed kind of a musty smell that was not very appetizing. OG kind of stresses me out, so I think it'll probably be another few years before I come back. When I think of going out for Italian, I picture a quiet restaurant where you can relax with a glass of wine and a big plate of pasta. That is just not the Olive Garden way. It's great for big loud families, but not great for me.

I really like the Olive Garden. I've never had a bad meal at this location, I have at the monroeville site though. Servers are all great, the only problem is on weekends there is a 20-30 wait for a table. But I'd rather wait for a table here than get food poisioning at the Chinese buffet place down the road.

I ended up in western Pennsylvania a couple of months ago, and after a long day of layovers and inedible airport food, I was starving. I've since learned that this part of the state has great Italian food and I should have been more adventurous, but my iPhone found me this Olive Garden, and reliable sounded perfect at the time. Their salad is great for what it is, and for whatever reason, their breadsticks always hit the spot. For my entree, I had the sausage and peppers rustica. The sauce was actually very spicy, and while I've had better fra diavolo sauce, it wasn't half bad. My glass of wine was reasonably priced. I was by myself, and it would have been nice if the hostess found me a side or corner spot instead of a table surrounded by 8-person parties, but the server was really friendly and helpful with some directions around Greensburg. Next time I find myself in the area I'll probably try something local, but if you just want something predictable along with unlimited salad and breadsticks, this isn't a bad choice.

This Olive Garden is out inside and inviting. The bar when you first come in would be nicer if it were like the newer olive gardens with booths so you could eat in there, not just only flimsy tables. huge parking lot.

Had an early dinner tonight just two of us and Patrick was our server! He was excellent and made it a very enjoyable time !

Its Olive Garden, obviously the food is held to a good standard and it was delicious when it reached us. However, we had just received a waiter that transferred from another location. He was confused and we give him the benefit of the doubt.

Had dinner tonight, first time we've been there for probably 2 years. Our server, sara, was exceptional and courteous. She attended to our childrens' needs and they were very happy (means happy parents too!). Good service is to be expected by customers, but an excellent server is definitely an outstanding feature to any restaurant!

Had dinner there last night with my three college-aged kids, and had a great experience. Our server was attentive and polite, and our drinks and bread sticks kept coming. Our food was served pretty quickly, especially considering the restaurant was full and there was a 45 minute wait for a seat. My gluten-free pasta was slightly over-cooked, but everything else was great. Will definitely go again!

Wait times can be long. Food and price are good service can be hit or miss.

You know, I do not know why I do not go to Olive Garden more often. The food is actually quite delicious. When my mother told me that the Olive Garden was going to be the restaurant chosen for Saturday dinner, I was a little uneasy. I do not really go here much, so I was unaware of the good food. First off, I was very satisfied with the fact that the table gets endless salad with the meal. It was a great way to ensure that everyone was all filled up after eating the dinner meal. I ordered the Seafood Boudette. It was very very yummy. It was basically a big bowl of seafood deliciousness. Tilapia, shrimp, and scallops; what's not to like? Not to mention, there were mushrooms and spinach in the bowl of broth as well. My parents also enjoyed their meals. They both got a variation of seafood pasta. I have to admit if we would not have gotten that endless salad though, I think we would have all still been hungry after our meals. In fact, my dad was going to order the stuffed chicken Marsala, but after the waitress showed him how small the portion size was, he decided against ordering it: I think it was a good call. Beside the fact that I wish I had a bigger portion of food, I have no complaints about this place. I think that the Olive Garden is now going to become a more popular place for my family outings in the future.

The 2 for 25 is a good bait and switch. Our family was not impressed with the choices that are offered.

My sons dinner got messed up. The chef personally came out and apologized. Gave us free desert and 4 coupons for free kids dinner on our next visits! Awesome customer service!!!

They were not busy, but we had to wait for a table. Our server depended on the bus girl to get our drinks and refill them. She was an okay server. I think the bus girl should have received the tip. We also waited a while for our food even though they were not busy and we had only order soup and an appetizer. I was not impressed.

I will never again eat at this restaurant. Every time I have been there, even with just two people, we had to wait for a table. Once seated, I would see dozens of empty tables. I finally asked the waitress why there was a 20 minute wait when there were all these empty tables, she sent the manager over. He told me that section was not "open" at the moment. For an older person, standing in the lobby is not a good thing. They can keep all their empty tables, I'll spend my money elsewhere.
