I crave the Meadows apple turnover just about every day! Their sundaes are mouth watering and I can never seem to finish a whole one! Never a bad visit!

For an entire semester I drove past this place and always wanted to stop. One hot summer evening, the girlfriend and I finally did! What a great idea! She got a custard cone and I got a milkshake. Both were delicious but nothing incredibly out-of-the-ordinary. I liked all of the options that they had at this small shop. I also like that they switch up the flavor and items they offer on a weekly basis. Only issue is- its too hard decide. The inside of the the shop offers a few seats and is very very clean- especially impressive because everything is white. There are a few "retro"-type pictures on the wall, but other than that the decor is pretty plain. Prices seem fair and I will be headed back here when the weather warms up!

The neon sign exudes soft, alluring colors against the backdrop of a twilit sky. The business itself seemingly hails from a different era, and could easily have been in the film, American Graffiti. Teenagers on dates, convertibles going through the drive-thru with the top down, sandals, shorts, and the heat of summer completed the scene. At once relaxed, one was quickly in the mood for delicious custard. I opted for a butterscotch sundae, a rarity to be sure. The butterscotch sauce was absolutely delicious! It wasn't too sweet, and I really had the impression that they make it on site. The custard was fairly agreeable, and I dispensed with it in record time. Whipped cream and a cherry on top rounded out this generally excellent dessert. Doing some research, I determined that this location is part of a chain across western Pennsylvania with the original business being in continuous operation since 1950. I can see why they were so successful and branched out -- it's a good spot to cap an endless summer night. Recommend. Delicious homemade custard on a hot summer night.

I love Meadows. Really high quality custard but also their frozen yogurt is excellent. Great variety of flavors, it makes it difficult to choose! Their service is always friendly. The only downfall is the parking and outdoor seating situation.

The Meadows has a lot of great flavors to choose from. It's a nice little place, decorated in a retro theme. The staff is always friendly, but the prices are a bit steep. Their frozen custard is really tasty though, and so is their gelato.

The Meadows in Greensburg is a wonderful place to get ice cream... or should I say, custard. Service is always great, and their custard is wonderful too. Pitt-Greensburg students are offered a 10 percent discount upon presenting their IDs. The owner of this local establishment is awesome and very friendly. My favorite thing about this place is the custard itself. It's so tasty... I'd choose this over Dairy Queen anyday. The biggest drawback to this place is their lack of outdoor seating and parking. Most parking is at the neighboring car repair establishment. For as busy as this place gets during the summer, it's a huge inconvenience to not be able to find a seat outside.

This place is fantastic!!! I'm not one to readily hand out 5 stars, but this place has definitely earned it. I had the gelati, a combo of custard and "italian ice." It definitely beats Rita's. Also, tried a taste of the banana custard, which was phenomenal! I can't wait to go back.

Me: I'm going to be a normal person in med school! I'm going to have a life! I'm going to exercise and make real food and have a balanced schedule! Anatomy: Haha. You're cute. As a result, I have not explored Greensburg and Pittsburgh as much as I wish I could. I mostly go to Walmart. However, Meadows is on my way home from class, and they have daily specials that they post on their sign. This is dangerous for me, and luckily I've manged to limit my visits for the most part. I don't want to though-- it's delicious! I haven't had a bad flavor yet. Chocolate peanut butter cup is probably the most awesome so far, on account of it being chocolate and peanut butter, but blueberry, turtle, and salted caramel were all pretty great too. They have a drive through, walk-up window and small inside area. Employees are friendly, and it has a 1950s Americana feel-- because it actually started in the 50s, not because it's trying to be retro. They have lots of shakes and sundaes and fancy options, but I haven't branched out from the frozen custard yet. I don't know much about the area yet, but I do know that Meadows is an excellent place to stop if you're in the neighborhood.

We arrived 15 minutes before they closed and the employees were friendly and had our orders ready before we even paid. They had simple menu options and the frozen custard was amazing. Definitely coming back next time I visit the area.
