This place is not the ritz. You stay in a 2-bedroom guest house on a dairy farm owned and operated by an Amish family. Don't worry, there is power in the house, apparently the Amish are OK with solar/battery power. The family is great, and they will give you a tour of the farm. Kids loved seeing/petting the cows. We got there after dark and the cows were mooing right next to the rooms, which was actually pretty cool. They bring you bread and eggs in the morning, and there's a fridge to keep your stuff cool It's only a few minutes to some of the more touristy stuff, and you can turn the other way down the road and have a great drive through Lancaster County's farmland. Staying at a place like this is the only way I would visit Amish country. It's cash only. To make a reservation you call their number and leave a message. Generally they will call you back in a few hours.
