Very tiny menu, did I not read it correctly, IS there more than three sandwiches and meat options? No meat/side combo options? Either very fatty pulled pork causing for oil or oily BBQ sauce, which was slathered on before I got it (so much nope). Coleslaw was bland (most of you would say of course it was, it's coleslaw, but I say to you, not all slaws are created equal!) Friendly service and quick, though, and the place was clean. Some folks in there were raving about ribs so maybe that's where it's at? I'd be willing to go back n try!

The ribs here are amazing! Fall right off the bone, awesome flavor and nice and fresh. The smoked bacon is also great. Definitely worth a try if anyone is craving BBQ

Tailgate Barbecue is awesome. I had the brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. Everything was delicious, cooked perfectly! It really is competition-style barbecue served in a restaurant, which is a rare find. I also tried the bacon appetizer, which was fantastic. They don't sell beer, but if you're lucky they may hook you up with a complimentary one (just ask). The decor is cool too - lots of Philly sports memorabilia, and nice flatscreens inside always showing sports. Very highly recommended!

The ribs are amazing! They're tender, delicious and there is so much meat. The brisket sandwich is also good. It's tender and there is plenty of meat. The sandwich is just meat and a bun though so heads up. Make sure to grab a side of BBQ sauce or ask for additional toppings. The service is quick and kind. I'm definitely excited to have them in the neighborhood!

considering the local BBQ choices, it's good. Brisket was OK, ribs (as mentioned) were off the bone, but fatty. Meats were salty, in my opinion. Mac and Cheese was downright bland. little mouth feel and except for the pepper sprinkled on top, no flavor. Baked beans also tasted bland to me as well, except coated with a sweetened sauce (brown sugar? molasses?) and the sweet took over the flavor. I'd still come back again.

I got the platter that u get to choose 3 meats. Got the brisket, pulled pork and ribs. Well only got 2 ribs and it said 3 on menu. The BBQ sauce was not that great. The meat was ok!! The mac and Cheese was so bad, the cheese was not mixed in. Don't know what kind if cheese it was but I was eating noodles with globs if cheese in it. The corn bread was bought corn bread. I thought with a place like this they would be making some great cornbread. The ,I think it was the owner seemed very cocky.

We went there for take out last night. Staff was very nice! Haven't been able to get good bbq in ages in this area, so was thrilled to come across this place. We had the pulled pork and brisket, both would highly recommend. We also had the bacon. It was ok, was hoping it was a little thicker like belly. We are definitely going back!

Pretty mediocre & nuthin' special - feels like the playtoy of yet another wanna-be restaurant owner who thinks it's 'fun' to have his own place as part of a change-of-life thing. A touch over-priced, & staff doesn't seem too swift, but at least you won't get poisoned there. It's adequate, but I wouldn't go outta' my way to eat there.

This place has tender, juicy barbecue. It just opened right next to my apartment. The pulled pork sandwich I ordered was ready in minutes and the pork was delicious. With that being said it left a lot to be desired portion wise. For a $7 sandwich it was pretty small, and came on an underwhelming, standard bun. They have nice outdoor tables too with candles as an extra touch. I would be all about this place if they either lowered their prices or upped the size of their portions.

The ribs are the best I ever had. They are tender, meaty and the flavor is awesome! 1st place in a Competition worthy!

Mmm, where to start? First , the positives: nice atmosphere, clean, and in a good location. The BBQ sauce is excellent as well-not sure if it is homemade but if it is, they have a winner as it is tangy and sweet. Now the not so good news: I ordered the brisket and pulled pork combo. The brisket was the worst- looked and tasted like a Sunday pot roast. Moist but not smoked or bbqd. This baby was cooked in an oven. Pulled pork was serviceable but very salty so had to rescue it with the yummy BBQ sauce.. Yes, I am a BBQ snob. I have tasted good BBQ in Texas, Tennessee, Virginia and the Carolina's and so I use those places as a measuring stick. Sorry folks, this place does not hold a candle. If you know good BBQ, stay away from here.. By the way, if ribs are falling off the bone, they have been over cooked!!

Pulled pork sandwich was moist, tangy and smoky. Brisket sandwich was yummy, but a little fatty. Beans were creamy inside with a good bite outside, but could have used a little more flavor. A really good meal though. Plenty of food, friendly service, and hey, it's right in Keswick Village.

The service was good. Unfortunately the majority of the food was not! The Mac and cheese was bland, and so was the brisket and the greens. The Ribs were Great!! I will definitely be going back but only for the Ribs.

Finally, a good restaurant near the Keswick Theater! But not just good, the flavor of the food here is off the charts. Best BBQ I have ever tasted - as the sign says, "Competition" grade. It's worth going here even if you're NOT seeing a show across the street!

It is a great place. super clean.. great staff.. The food is amazing. BBQ tends to be a little pricey but the quality more than makes up for it. have eaten there several times and always leaves the family very happy.

Just ate lunch here. Was totally Underwhelmed. As a longtime Glenside resident, I'd love to see this place be successful.....but.....where do I start? First, the good. Place is very clean and decorated nicely. Smelled great too! Now, some hopefully constructive, criticism. Walked in, place was empty yet not one of the 3 people working said anything. Felt uncomfortable right away. No menu board, you order from a placemat that has no descriptions or pictures. Only bottled soda, small selection. Store bought tasting cole slaw and corn bread. Small portions, whether sandwiches or meats, like they can't spare giving you more. Everything's a la carte so it gets expensive real fast. No real sign out front, just a banner. Looks like they're not committed. With everything that's happening on Keswick, owner should go check out some other BBQ joints (fat Jack's, Sweet Lucy's ) and raise the bar. Good luck!

Pretty legit BBQ joint. I'm from NYC but I lived in the south for a while, so I got hooked on bbq. When living down south I could not find good pizza and things like that. Moving back north I never expected to find a great bbq place in glenside. I'm a happy camper. Ribs are really good. The trio meat dish is great. My only problem is their " award" winning brisket sandwich. It's way over priced. It comes with no side, pretty small and on a boring bun. Not sure how that is an award winning sandwich. Just order their brisket meal for a dollar more and you get sides. Don't get me wrong the brisket is tasty. I was very disappointed with the sandwich and felt robbed. Other than that a great place.
