The hoagies themselves are pretty good. Fresh bread, thin sliced meats and cheeses. Good selection of chips, salads, and soda on site. My only beef with them is they have a sign saying that if you don't receive your receipt, your meal is free. The workers don't know how to respond when you call them out on not giving a receipt and the manager then will not honor it- only said they would credit 10% back to my card, which never happened. Just take the sign down if you have no plans to honor it.

I gave 2 stars for cleanliness. The floors were filthy. The woman taking orders was unfriendly and rude. We ordered one sandwich and waited 10 minutes. Not the most efficient or friendly Primos.

Just. Awesome. Italian hoagie w/ the works is bomb. High quality meats and use a crustier roll than the traditional Amoroso roll. Little bit more expensive than most places but worth every penny. I dream about the Italian hoagies when I am not in the area...

I am not sure what is going on with this business, but it is not good. I have ordered from the Glenside location about three or four times. The last time was a couple of months ago and I was not pleased at all. There was half of the amount of meat that you typically get and the lettuce was wilted. I figured it was just an off day, which can happen. Got another whole hoagie on Saturday night. Again, very light on the meat, but this time both my husband and I had upset stomachs all night.

Great hoagies. Love the old Italian meats. Roast beef is great to. Very clean. Friendly staff. Great place for something quick to go. Will frequent this place.

Good hoagies. Nothing spectacular, but better than a Subway-type franchise.

I'm a big fan of the Italian diablo. It is absolutely delicious and just the right amount of heat. This Primos is very accommodating and made the hoagies I ordered exactly as I asked. Overall a great local place to pick up hoagies.

As others before me have said they are pr icy - but not that much more then any decent sub shop (ok, hoagie - I' from jersey - you know the rest) Wawa has cheep cheese, eh toppings and ok meat. The question of the roll however is worthy of considerable discussion. At Primos they use a lovely seeded 'talian roll that goes crunch when ya bites (yo we talkin philly now, youz see?) into it. It is a roll that takes a baker with some skills and a decent set of ingredients and an oven better then a Suzie Homemaker...The Wawa roll is nice in its own way. Its squishy soft bread thats zactly what youz wants onna steak - for a hoagie however nice as it is, it is outclassed, eclipsed and just not as good as the rolls primos uses. Does the roll justify the 60% price bump from a 5 buck Wawa to a 8 buck primos? Well when ya toss in the top quality meat it does sometimes. I like the Sharp 'talian and the wife and I compromise on the turkey schwartze although the Media Primos does that one better. The plain old ham and cheese is very nice too... Look, ya pays your money and ya makes your choice. Wawa is not a great hoagie but it's ok, Primos might not be the best sub ya ever ate, but its much better then Wawa. PS the Glenside store closes at 7 I believe. Glenside Pizza next door is now doing a sub kinda like a Primo but hey the original is the way to go unless primos is closed - glenside pizza is open late and makes deliveries btw...

One of the best hoagie shops around and what makes it that way is the outstanding roll and good quality meats. I always order the chicken with broccoli rabe--Bada Bing and it never disappoints. The prices reflect the quality...so if one wants to eat a cheap hoagie, go to Wawa.

Primo Hoagies is a chain of hoagie shops with about 2 dozen locations in PA and NJ. They seem to be trying to position themselves as 'gourmet' hoagies. I've been to this particular location twice. The biggest difference you'll notice in their hoagies is the bread. Rather than the traditional Amoroso's roll, Primo makes their hoagies with a harder, seeded roll. I'm ambivalent about this; if you were to eat the Primo roll by itself, it is certainly better bread, but the traditional roll works really well with hoagies. Primo uses relatively high quality Thurmann's meats. These stand out if you are getting some of the 'Italian meats' in your sandwich, but less so if you are getting something like roast beef or turkey. Although you'd think these hoagies would be superior to those made with lesser ingredients, I personally haven't found that to be the case. The two hoagies I've had here have been good, but not great, and I think I'd always rather go to Rocky's. Finally, I called ahead for a sandwich and they told me it would be ready in 25 minutes! I almost cancelled my order. You can get a pizza in that amount of time, you have to COOK a pizza.

Best hoagies around. The meat is delicious and they absolutely pack it in there. Lots of variety and the fresh rolls are perfect. Only knock is that they're prone to messing up your hoagie if you order during a busy time...other than that, you cannot go wrong with a Primo.

You can tell the other reviewers got sticker shock, but there is value here. For a couple of dollars more than you'd drop at Wawa, you get premium, hand sliced meats and cheeses on a better than avg. roll and you get a lot of it...pound for pound a superior sandwich. I ordered the sharp Italian and was told to go ahead and have a seat as it takes a bit to make. This is a good thing people, as they sliced my sandwich's meat and cheese fresh and loaded it into the massive roll. I had hoped on dining in, but alas this is a take out joint so be warned. They have a great selection of sides to choose from and happily there is no minimum order to pay with credit/debit card. If you are worried about down time, you can call ahead and have it waiting for you to pick up. There is a lot of street parking ($.25 gets you an hour!) and if you drive a few shops down you'll see a strip center where you can snake some free parking...you did not hear that from me. Lastly, I mentioned wishing for tables so I could dine in. Reason being I was starving! So much so that I reached into the bag to take a few bites before heading home...I hadn't seen the guy place my sandwich in the bag and so when I pulled out the massive hoagie, a tiny tear formed in my eye! This baby was longer than my forearm and almost twice as thick!

1 Sandwich is Stellar. The Hoagies are OK. The prices are bad. Don't get me wrong. I order from Primos about once a month, but it is for 1 sandwich: The "Whacked Chicken". This sandwich is basically fried chicken, with "fresh" mozzarella and a liberal amount of Pesto Sauce on their popular hoagie rolls. If you like salty foods and garlic then you will like this one. They also have a nice selection of side items. They have more then your run-of-the mill cole slaw, potato salad sides that you would expect from most hoagie shops. I recommend the Jalapeno Shooters and Tortellini Pasta Salad! The Cons: 1. Someone else mentioned it and its true. They do try to provide a "Gourmet Hoagie" but most of them are only above average. Their italian is good but others are so-so. 2. The prices! You are paying a premium to eat their sandwiches. If they were a little cheaper they would have received the 5th star.

High quality, big size, and taste. Price is high but you get the best meats and a great roll. I got an iced tea and a whole size Schwartzie for $21. A whole size is good for 2-4 people and is the best deal. A primo size is about 1/4 the size but only 1/2 the cost of the whole. A small is not on the same roll, its just a regular plain one.

I ordered a tuna hoagie with provolone, lettuce and tomato. I GOT a tuna hoagie without provolone, and with lettuce, tomatoes.. and onions. You see the problem here? But the worst part is, it wasn't tuna salad. It's just tuna. Like a cat would eat. Pieces of tuna from a can. No mayo, no celery, no nothing mixed into a nice little salad. From now on, I'm sticking to Lee's Hoagie House.
