These are delicious homemade donuts! There is a cozy seating spot inside and little shaded tables outside! Perfect for a donut date or reading a book! The cream filled donut is the most tasty I've ever had!

So good! First time here and we had the snickers brownie (ooey gooey goodness), a Danish with a bunch of crumbled chocolate chip cookie and a spice brownie type of crumb, a coconut Danish and a cheese one. All of it was great!

Head to Daryl's if you're looking for a small town bakery where you'll run into your neighbor while enjoying your morning cup of joe. They offer many desserts and a large self serve coffee bar. The white cream filled donuts are just the right amount of sweet. And the cakes are fantastic! Try the white cake with raspberry filling and white icing. It's incredible!

It's an idyllic neighborhood bakery where I can walk with my kids to get a yummy treat. But every.single.time I have been to this bakery, I have been shocked at the horrible owner. He yells at his employees, verbally abusing and berating them. I can no longer support this establishment because of him.

Just purchased a Irish Soda Bread and it is excellent would highly recommend to everyone

I've been a patron of Daryl's bakery for years and I'm thankful for this neighborhood gem. This is my place for cookies! If you want tasty, beautifully crafted cookies to bring to a holiday dinner or give as a gift, these won't disappoint. They taste close to European style cookies with the dipped chocolate and fruit jelly. As for donuts, forget Dunkins! Their donuts are the real deal. They are fluffy and fresh. And the flavors aren't too crazy or gourmet like those others that cost you a fortune in a fad bakery kind of place. The service most times has been pretty efficient and gets you in and out pretty quickly. I might regret the calories I've accumulated off and on, but it's worth it for a sweet treat.

Aside from the fact that I gain 18 pounds everytime I walk in to Daryl's, I still love it! You walk into this small shop that is redolent with butter and cream and cookies and cake..... It's like walking into Heaven. And if I may, for 1.25 you get the BEST cupcake you'll ever eat, freshly iced with your favorite icing. YUMMMM-O!

When you think of what a corner neighborhood bakery should be, Daryl's Pastries is it! Good old fashion homemade ingredients made with love. This is a great family run business. The prices are very reasonable and you will soon find that this is the place to connect with old friends and new ones too!

Oh how I love the donuts at Daryl's. I've tried at least 6 different varieties and they've all been wonderful. I loved Daryl's as a child and now, as a 24 year old, I still make a point to visit at least once when I'm in town visiting my parents. My favorites are the vanilla donuts with marble fudge icing and the chocolate donuts with vanilla icing and jimmies. I've only ever had the donuts, and they're worth 5 stars themselves but my mother told me that we employees loved Daryl's cookies when she brought them into work and a friend of mine calls the croissants "heavenly." Go there. Delicious. And the donuts are only $1 -- no more expensive than most Dunkin Donuts.

I love going to Daryl's. They have great coffee and awesome glazed donuts. I wasn't too thrilled with the Boston creme donut for some reason, but the glazed is so perfect! Other pastries I like are the cherry cheese danish, cheese pocket and the giant cinnamon roll isn't bad either. It's a great little place to sit down with your kids or your friends and have a quaint relaxing morning chat. I have yet to try any breakfast sandwiches or cakes.

Daryl's is an institution. The sweets are always good. The donuts are good. I wouldn't use words like "elite" but I would use "delicious" to describe their donuts. No doubt I am happy on the occasion when someone puts out Daryl's donuts out at work instead of Dunkin' Donuts. The coffee is good. I go with the French Caramel Creme. They only sell iced coffee (vanilla, caramel or regular) in these huge clear plastic cups. They have pre-made egg sandwiches. They are good if a little big. They offer hot sauce packets which is a nice touch. Overall, it's a local mom-and-pop place with good if limited breakfast fare. An asset for Glenside.

I first tried Daryl's doughnuts when a friend decided to bring in "birthday doughnuts" instead of cupcakes. In my opinion, a much much better idea. I tried the glazed, and another one with white frosting marbled with chocolate. the doughnuts i tried were good enough that i actually went to the bakery myself to try a few more varieties. much better than dunkins! the doughnut itself has just the right softness and chew, and the icing melts in your mouth without the hardened glaze or harden icing poking you in the gums, or worse, crunching when you bite down on it. even more impressive was the fact that the doughnuts were presented at night for the birthday surprise when sitting in the cold car (it's winter) all day long, and still tasted as if you had eaten it in the morning when it was actually purchased! have you ever tried eating a dunkin doughnuts at the end of the day or saving it for the next morning? i rest my case... 4 stars because i havent tried the other things on the menu yet, but im sure to go back again.

O M G !! Can you say massively delicious? This bakery better never close, since they are the very best at what they do. If you are a scone fan, as I am, Daryl's is Hands Down the God of Scones. They offer raisin, cranberry, chocolate chip and I believe orange/cranberry. I love my scones to be VERY crisp on the outside and luxuriously cake-like on the inside. And that's exactly how their scones are baked. I hate it when I purchase scones that are all soft and mushy. I have tried their raspberry twists, which I believe would be in the category of french pastry. Flaky and delic! And they also have a cheese french pastry that is to die for! My advice, if you want to treat yourself and make the calories WORTH IT, go to Daryl's. You'll thank me!

Yummmmm! I love their breakfast sandwiches! Homemade scrambled eggs and your choice of meat on a kaiser roll.. obviously amazing pastries too and an apple crumb cake to die for. They have tables inside and out that you can eat at and can even hang with your well-behaved pooch outside at a table too...(at least I have..and no one said anything)

Looking for an egg sandwich? This is the place. Forget about the ones at Wawa that have been sitting under the heating lamp, or the ones at Elcy's that have been microwaved (ugh!). If you're in Glenside, and you want a quick, delicious bite to eat for breakfast, the egg sandwiches at Daryl's are a must. I've tried a few of their donuts and I'm unimpressed. But they deserve 4 stars for the egg sandwiches alone. I have heard that the marble frosting donut is to-die-for, so it's next on my list.

I've had the donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and coffee here. The donuts and coffee are pretty good and I especially like the fact that the coffee temperature is piping hot. The same, however, cannot be said for the breakfast sandwiches which are hearty but lukewarm and taste like they were made as soon as the bakery opened. It would be better if they made them to order or at least every hour on the hour. Darryl's is ok but I won't hurry back anytime soon.

Best chocolate croissants I've ever had (and I've had a lot)!

I've come to realize that there are two kinds of people in this town: those who go to Dunkin Donuts and those who don't. I try to avoid DD if at all possible. Especially since I always seem to see them in the news when they get robbed at gunpoint. Also, let's face it people, their doughnuts leave something to be desired - I always seem to get something stale or a slightly soggy French Cruller. Daryl's, on the other hand, owns a special place in my heart. As a kid, I knew it was a special weekend if I found a crisp white box of Daryl's pastries and doughnuts on the kitchen table. Things I like about Daryl's: 1. Family owned and operated. 2. Everything is made fresh on the premises. 3. Best doughnuts ever! 4. They have breakfast sandwiches and coffee too. 5. The staff is friendly and speaks intelligible English. 6. There cakes and other pastries are just as tasty and well-made as their doughnuts.

Great donuts. Makes you wonder why people bother with Dunkin. Try the cinnamon twist.

My friends and I use to be patrons at Darryl's, however the owner of the bakery is condescending and rude. On one occasion he insinuated my friend was fat even though she was buying one of his mediocre at best breakfast sandwiches. If you want a good meal at breakfast or lunch time, head down the street to elcys. The servers are always sweet and attentive, no attitudes for miles, and the food is impeccable.

My husband likes this place...me, well I have had better. The sandwiches are a bit mushy, particularly the bacon (which is quite small). The donuts are o.k. Overall it is average.

I never really understood the fuss over donuts until I had a glazed donut from Daryl's. One of my coworkers brought donuts in for a meeting and I was like meh. But then I saw this golden goddess and I had to rethink my breakfast strategy. It was amply covered in a sugar so thick and inviting, I had to act fast before my coworkers grabbed it. It was calling to me. One bit into this glorious glazed wonder, I finally understood the power of the donut. Darryl's has forever redefined breakfast pastries for me.
(5)Robert B.
The power of Daryl's is incomprehensible. The most delicious pastries and other baked sweet sundaries in the area. The donuts are scrumptious delights of baked perfection. Once bite and you will not fathom going to a Dunkin Donut and their stale concoctions again.
(4)Gerald C.
Some of the best cookies I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.
(5)Adam S.
A Glenside institution. This is a fantastic bakery, where every item is great. Even simple things like cookies and biscotti are extraordinarily delicious. And of course doughnuts, scones, muffins, and danishes are superior to any of the competition. They also have good egg and cheese sandwiches. The coffee isn't great, but that's not their focus, so I'll forgive them for that. Bring a travel mug and enjoy the baked goods.
(5)Dave K.
The breakfast sandwiches are amazing and fresh. The donuts, croissants, and other breakfast baked goods are tasty. You can't go wrong starting your day here.

I grew up on doughnuts. It was almost a Sunday tradition that my dad would pick up a dozen for breakfast. I remember some mornings where he'd wake up at 4am just to get a hot, fresh batch, but I could never appreciate them as Sunday was my day to sleep in. Point is, my love for donuts started young, so when I came across the Yelp reviews for Daryl's Pastries, I had to try it. On my first visit, I bought a variety dozen to share with friends and they were a hit. I sampled a few and understood the high remarks that I read on Yelp. The doughnuts are delicious- so good that I texted my dad immediately to let him know that I just bit into one of the best doughnuts I'd ever had. I'm waiting for him to visit me (I've recently moved to Jenkintown from Seattle) so that I can bring him to Daryl's.

i am new to the jenkintown area and had passed the giant bakery sign and made a mental note to stop and check it out. oh.my .god! this place has the BEST donuts i have ever tasted! they also offer seating inside and out, coffee and bright, beautiful pastries and cookies. if you are in the area, you should put this on your list of places to try.
