Really good pizza for sure, not super greasy and very filling, but now among my favorites for wings. I don't know if they make their own sauce or if it's pre-mixed, but it us unique. Kind of sweet and tangy, but still has the kick you'd want from a buffalo-style sauce. The actual chicken wings themselves sometimes are a little small and/or overcooked, and I believe they are frozen (which is common, as far as I'm concerned), but the sauce more than makes up for it. I find myself dipping my pizza in the extra sauce on almost every bite. Friendly service with a small, family-run business feel to it.

Nothing fancy here, just great food, fast service and friendly owners - what more could you ask for? I don't know what it is about their pizza that makes it so delicious, but it's one of the best I've ever had. The owners make you feel like you've known them for years. I would rate this place 5 stars, but I have to sample more of their food. And I'll be doing that very soon.

Awesome place -- very friendly staff and food is exceptionally tasty. I often get something brand new to me, and have yet to try anything that isn't great.

I love Dave's. Good pizza and cheese steaks made up for you by the friendliest restauranteurs in the area. Nothing will really blow you away here but the Mom and Pop shop feel and just the overall vibe of this place brings it up from three stars to four. If you're in the area and you want pizza, this is the place.

The fact is, I don't eat out a lot, (at least not outside of work hours) and when I do, I tend to go to the places I'm familiar with. Speaking of work eating, I did work in Glenolden years ago but I pretty much stuck to Double Decker next door. My mistake. Not that DD is bad, I just missed out on Daves. Since I am choosy in where I go, Yelp is a godsend as far as finding good eats. In Southern Delco, I rely on Jay G, Nando , Tim P and last but probably the most comprehensive Steve S. It was Steves recommendation that spurred this visit. That said, I couldn't remember what menu item Steve recommended. I was on foot ( car being worked on nearby at Pep Boys) so a whole pie was not reasonable. I opted for the cheesesteak. There was an older charming woman behind the counter (and no one else that I could see) who took my order, made my steak and delivered it to my table. I thought it was cool that she was getting the ingredients for my sandwich out of a regular refrigerator. It was almost like eating lunch made by mom at a friends house. I've become a proponent of eating in at most sandwich places. Once your sandwich is wrapped to go, the soggy factor is in effect. I ate my steak fresh at Daves and while it wasn't the best steak I ever had, it was perfectly chopped and proportioned (meat/cheese/onion) on a wonderfully fresh roll. I truly enjoyed my lunch at Daves. Steve later said it was the pizza he recommended so I'll have to go back and give that a try. I think I'm going to give Steve some stickers that say "Steve Approved!" And then look for them on all Delco Eateries.

Moving to a new area is exciting as you get to try all the great local eats. We ordered two pie's and they came within about 35min on a Sunday night, which was more than acceptable. I was stoked to see what many of you claimed to be the best pizza in the area, but was unfortunately let down once I took my first bite. It was just OK, nothing more or less. My wife made a great point, it taste like a cross between Pizza Huts pan pizza from the 90's and Chucky Cheese pizza. It wasn't horrible, but far from the best I've had as even most large Pizza chains make better pizza than this. Our search continues...

I visited this establishment after reading the rare review from Steve S. I was dying to eat a cheesesteak and pizza after a super long week at work. I was very hungry and put in my order for a large mushroom cheesesteak, which cost over $9 and a pizza with bacon and mushrooms. Then I waited for at least 20 minutes until it was ready. The wife that served me was nice and I do like patronizing small businesses. However, I wasn't enthused as Steve was with the pizza and the steak. As mentioned by another reviewer below, the pizza was greasy which is a great thing but it didn't stand out. I've had much better pizza elsewhere such as Pizza Villa a few times, Bertucci's, Brazil, Joe's Pizza in CC, La Porta in Media, etc. I won't be in a hurry to rush back.

I feel like I need to write a more comprehensive review here. Because just telling you that this place serves the best pizza in my area isn't enough. I think those of you who have never come here need to know why those of us who love it here are loyal. If you've lived in the general vicinity of Mac Dade Blvd for as long as I have, you know how many pizza and sandwich places there are, and those that have come and gone. For every Cocco's and Imperial Pizza that has managed to stay alive so long, we can rattle off names of places that are no longer around. Here's some names from our general area that have come and gone... Lou's Pizza, Peppy's Pizza, Manor House Pizza, and countless others that were blips on the radar in that they opened up and closed out within a year or two just because they couldn't cut it. The ones I mentioned by name actually happened to stick for a while. Dave's has been in business close to 30 years in an area where it's very tough to stay in business for 30 years. I mean, the competition for them is literally just a few doors away. And, of course, it's because we love their food. If we didn't, they would have gone the way of Lou's a long time ago. But previous reviews have hinted at it, and I will confirm this. This place has managed to stay a pretty small "Mom and Pop" type of place for a long time despite the growth of nearby places. That's not easy to do. And they've kept a loyal customer following for just as long. It's more than just the food. Heck, I can rattle off my favorite things to eat here besides the pizza with no problem. For me, it's the meatball sandwich, the pizza steak, the mozzarella cheese fries (and the pizza fries which put them at another level), the stromboli, the gyro, and the wings (especially the sauce) which do it for me. No, what has kept them in business are the people. George and Roula (let them tell you the story sometime as to why it's named Dave's when no one named Dave owns it) aren't just the people who own the pizza place. They're as much a part of the fabric of Glenolden as anyone who has ever opened up shop here. You're not just their customer, you know them on a personal level. They know you, they remember you, and they know your whole family. You don't just go in to pick up your food, you talk to them about what's going on in your life as you stand at their counter. To some in the area, including me, they're like family. Compare this to the places where they seem to grunt at you as you order from them. I guarantee no one has the heart and the good will in the community that Dave's has built up over the years. That's why we love them. That's why they've survived so long. It takes more than just a pretty good pizza to make it as a pizza place on Mac Dade Blvd. You have to be special too.

My guess is that you've had to grow up around here with this kind of pizza to love it. It tasted fine, don't get me wrong, but for the 5 stars this place is carrying I expected it to be some awesome pizza. Not fine, awesome. Then again, I'm a pizza snob. Pizza fries were pretty delicious, though.

One of the few pizzas my 5yo will eat. Understated sauce, plenty of cheese, nice crust. Their wings are pretty mild, and decent sized for the price. Cheesesteaks were a treat. Plenty of meat, not much grease, an overall 10. Add in friendly owners and you've got a place that can't be beat - well, except for the parking - but you can't really fault them for that. :-)

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
