Quaint little restaurant with great home cooking; and they serve delicious coffee. Enjoyed this place, good service and everyone was very friendly.

Traveling through area wanted to avoid fast food. Staff was pleasant. Service was good. Place was clean. Food was sub part at best. Burgers we're grey and soggy. Not browned at all (almost like they were steamed or dare I say kept in a warmer). Cheese was not melted on burgers either as they were not hot enough to melt it. Fries appeared to be an attempt at fresh cut but were terrible. They were burnt brown, overcooked and soggy, not golden and crisp as fries should be. Milkshakes we're more milk than ice cream and extremely watery. Basically the food resembled standard frozen foodservice boxed food. Not enjoyable at all. Bill with tip for 4 ppl was $50. Most definetly not worth the price for burgers, fries & milkshakes that probably were not any better quality than fast food.

The best place to have a genuine diner experience. Their eggs and home fries are the best.

A must go place when in this small town. Huge menu with great food. This place also has some of the nicest servers!

This maybe biased because I'm from Girard but this place is home. The food, service, and milkshakes are always excellent.

Great Atmosphere and really good food/service. I ordered the Reuben on Italian bread, and it was pretty awesome!

Was in town visiting my son. Excellent food. I had the omelette breakfast. . And the best coffee in any diner I ever had. .. will definitely be back again. Two full breakfasts for under $16.. I will do that all day long. .. excellent service as well.

We stopped while traveling through. It looked a little run down on the outside but the inside was clean, service was great and food fine. I'm glad we opted for this over fast food. The wait staff was extremely friendly and nice to our (loud) children. They even offered to let them play with the toy dinosaurs that they use for decorations. Our server even told us about a park down the road when we told her we were traveling. Our kids were very grateful! Clearly most of their food was made from real ingredients (not processed nonsense.) The food was fine, burgers were tasty, fries a little soggy and the milkshake was tasty too. Overall still way better than fast food and worth a couple extra minutes.

A warm morning and no air conditioning when we first arrived. It did come on after about 10 minutes, and glad it did. I had the Cajun chicken omelet, which was very good with home fries folded in. The sausage links she ordered were not very browned, so she asked if they could be put back on the grill for a few minutes but they came back looking just the same. The waitress was pretty busy, but it always bothers me when the dirty dishes are left on the table long after we're finished eating. Never brought the check around either, and we had to wait at the cash register for her to total it. Could have been a good breakfast, but too many little problems.

First of all, a five star review in my eyes is relative to the genre of food and service being reviewed. To that point... american diner's are so prevalent that it's really tough to even judge since national expectations and standards are so consistent across the country. Eggs and bacon and toast are the same in California and Florida. But some things are a little different in Girard Pennsylvania. We found the Girard DinOr from a pile of take-out menus in our motel room during a one night stay in the area. The cute misspelled name was enough reason to check the joint out, but the extensive menu also lured us in. Long and short of it, the Girard DinOr is cute. It's a little Girard time capsule, with walls covered in b&w photos of the downtown setting in different eras. The whole downtown is ridiculously cute as well, with buildings still claiming original pressed tin facades. So what is up with the name? DinOr? Well duh, it's for dinosaurs. That's right, it's a dinosaur themed diner in the middle of nowhere. There are little plastic dinosaurs everywhere, and the menu has several DINO named items, including the delicious looking DINO-burger. It was breakfast time, and I wasn't looking for a burger so I ordered the equally delicious sounding DINO-omelette. Let me just pause for a second to say how much I love breakfast. I have eaten so many omelettes in my life, good and bad... I'm no expert but I am a omelette lover. And with that, as a thirty five year old man who has probably had thirty five thousand omelettes in his life, that the DINO-omelette was one of the best i've ever had. It's not that the eggs were prepared expertly, because they were not. It's because of the unique, umami ingredients. It was savory heaven. Yes, there was crumbled "hamburg" but there was also sauteed onions, shrooms and peppers. In addition, there was an "italian" oily hot pepper sauce. It wasn't very hot but added a mild pleasant burn. There was also some swiss cheese thrown on top. The combination of flavors and textures was unexpected and devine. If this place was in a big city there would be a line out the door 24-7. Chicago or NYC would make this place a goldmine. Huge portions, the sweet smell of pancakes in the air and genuinely friendly service.
