Wow, I had no idea this was a near national chain as New England is one of the only areas of the country that doesn't have them. The 6 am to midnight hours were great as I was staying right beside it in the Days Inn and would do anything to avoid disgusting continental breakfasts. A stuffed buffalo chicken wrap with sides and two enormous muffins for $10 was awesome and really good quality for a chain. I wish we had a few in New England. It'd be a great place in you're around early or up late.

Slow service, mediocre food, decent prices, fairly unpleasant staff. I just wanted a simple breakfast before getting back on the road. So I got a Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The waffle was alright. It was exactly what you would expect from a chain restaurant. The bacon was over cooked. I only took a bite or two before deciding it wasn't worth it. The scrambled eggs were awful, even adding salt and pepper to them (which I find usually makes chain restaurant eggs tolerable) didn't help. I barely touched them despite being starving. The food would be permissible for a place like this if the service was good, but it wasn't. The hostesses were rude. The waitress really only visited our table to take our order. It too over half an hour for us to get our food. Sadly this was the only place nearby that we thought we could get breakfast quickly before getting back on the road, but even that was wrong. I only stopped here because we needed somewhere to get breakfast before we were out on the road for the day. I would only stop back for the same reason.

Wife had the buffalo chicken strips appetizer for her meal, and it was four decent sized pieces. She also had the New England Clam Chowder that I sampled and it was very creamy and tasty. I had the lemon-pepper tilapia and it was a bit overdone. If you are a senior ask for something from the senior menu...someone at the next table asked what was the difference between the senior menu and the regular menu items and the waitress said "none" [ex. price], when quite often it's a smaller portion of the same meal(s). The baked potato I had was huge. I think they finished it off in the micro to get it out timely to me because the waitress did say they were "finishing it up." The asparagus was wrinkly making me think it may have been overcooked frozen. Other chains offer better value and selection.

I don't think I've ever had a bad meal at Perkins and this location is no different. I had the pot-roast my wife had the turkey (Thanksgiving type) dinner. We had a great waiter he apologized numerous times because it took about 25 minutes to get served, but hey this isn't NY people in other states enjoy s i t t i n g a n d t a l k i n g a n d e a t i n g a t a s l o w r e l a x i n g p a c e. Weird. We finished with a delicious strawberry Cheesecake and raspberry muffin. My only complaint was a party of 7 on the other side of a glass partition who allowed their 2 year old smear butter all over the glass, It never ceases to amaze me how many "children raise their parents".

Ants, ants, ants and more ants... Can't tell you about the food because we moved twice and there were ants at each stop!!!! Honestly, if they couldn't find a table without ants, just think about the food prep area

Chicken in the southwest avocado salad was not fresh and tasted plain with no seasoning. Avocados where over ripe and brownish. The corn and beans in the salad came out cold. The turkey club was not trimmed and was fatty around the edges. I didn't get many fries, and I asked for a little more turkey and it came out the same amount as normal meat, I was charged 4$ extra for normal portion. The thousand island I had tasted mostly of mayo. The Perkins in hanover always has great food, but never again will I return to the Gettysburg one, And If you want better food hoss's is right up the street. McDonald's even has better food, and that's a shame to say. Also my waitress was very nice and kind, but only checked in 2 times and once for the bill, I never got my refill of water. Find it really funny that they weren't even busy at all but the waitress was busy some how waiting on 2 tables. Please, if you are in the area or on vacation, eat some where else. Thank you

A fairly inexpensive restaurant that serves breakfast all day. Actually, based on what I saw, that is all you should get. At one side of my table was a wilted salad, a tuna "melt" with two slices of cheese (specifically asked to not be American, and one was) and a run of the mill side of rice. On the other was a superb Mediterranean omelet topped with hollandaise sauce with sides of fluffy pancakes real maple syrup and crispy hashbrowns. breakfast certainly won in that round. Our wait staff consisted of a friendly teen age waitress who struggled, though successfully, to keep her patience with the elderly couple across from us who proceeded to ask questions clearly answered in the menu. Pay at the cashier on the way out when you get your bill. You won't have daydreams about your meal here, but it is that comfortable diner feel and as long as you stick with breakfast items, you should be pretty happy.

Typical Perkins fare. We stopped for breakfast which was good. Server forgot fruit with my son's rainbow pancakes. Bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner omelet was filling; too much butter on toast. So only 3 stars

finally able to find a restaurant which makes their pancakes from scratch rather than from a box....their pancakes are real small or if you are hungry get the tall stack....they are good, not wow, but good....the chicken and cheese quesadillas were also good not wow but good. Good prices on some items high on others....the wait staff are really nice...it is a chain restaurant so do not expect much...alright food but not wow

Terrible! In an almost empty restaurant on a Saturday night the table wasn't cleaned until after we were seated and our meal took way too long to come out. The Mac and cheese and rice medley had the consistency of reheated leftovers. The fries were nothing special. Salmon was dry and couldn't taste the seasoning. The iced tea and salad were good. Service was friendly and quick. To top things off the bathroom locks don't work and there were many areas in need of repair. Even the comment box was broken.

Took a long time to get seated. We ended up splitting our party of 9 into 3 tables. Drink service took a while. Rest of food was delivered more quickly. Everything was prepared as ordered, including my RARE patty melt. One of our party had a spinach salad, so much spinach that it still looked like a full bowl after she had eaten lots. My son liked the pancakes w chocolate chips. Would return if in the area.

How badly can a restaurant screw up basic things like eggs?pancakes? homefries? coffee? Travel to Perkins for breakfast to find out! While there you can also enjoy gazing at some of Gettysburg's largest residents.

Placed a take out order. Went to pick it up and they didn't have the order anywhere. While standing there a lady came to the hostess and said they had been sitting for quite some time and noone had come to give them water or any service. Would not recommend this place based on the service.

We haven't been to a Perkins in quite some time. We were seated quickly and the food was great when we finally got it. We did wait for a while and noticed others waited for a bit as well. All in all it was a great breakfast, good service, cheap prices and we will return!

We are not sorry we tried this place. The food's good and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and courteous. Coming from NYC, that's important. We recommend Perkin's.

It's a cold, snowy day in Gettysburg. Staying in the super 8 next door, we decided to head over to Perkins. I've been to a few Perkins before so I knew what to expect. Perkins is a cross between Applebee's and bob Evans. They kinda have some country meals but you can still get a burger or some tenders. I'm very impressed how they are keeping the walk ways and lot cleared as best as possible in a snow storm. We were seated as soon as we walked in. Waitress was prompt to offer drinks. I had a delicious turkey and mash potatoes. Food came quickly and was worth the affordable prices. They have a list of nice deserts. Took a brownie home with us and was thanked for our business as we exited. I was overall happy with the entire experience. However, there was one small issue. The bathroom smelled like death. Someone must have ate a combination on chili and tacos and then decided to take it out on the Perkins bathroom. No fans were running and there were no sprays. It was hard to think about my meal after I smelled a rotting man prostate. But hey, this location is a good place to eat.
