Food was very good - the warm rolls were awesome but had to refuse a second serving because I would have eaten them all for sure. I had the Maryland crab cakes (I live in CA and I can't find good actual Maryland style crab cakes). The cakes had alota of crab, a little on the soft side (vs being more like a patty) but tasty. Subbed broccoli for green beans as I prefer broccoli. The Caesar salad was the only disappointment as it had a little too much dressing. It was a stormy night so it was slow. The waitress didn't realize I was seated so took a little long to be greeted but otherwise very good and quick service.

I like Bertuccis. Way better than Olive Garden. We've dined here and taken out food. We enjoy the salads, pizza & pasta dishes. My husband likes the Ultimate Bertucci pizza and chicken Granati. I enjoy the chicken piccata & four cheese ravioli. Is it thee best Italian food you will ever eat ? God, no. But it's decent. Service here has always been good. Unlike OG which is only good for their salad & breadsticks, the entrees here are pretty good.

The food was very bland, not how I remembered it years ago. The pizza use to be actually made in a brick oven where you can see it being baked, now it's just made in a regular oven . Lacking flavor. Also it seems like they don't specialize in pizza anymore. Very limited pizza menu. Not the same taste. The only good food they had was the grilled Tuscan chicken. The sausage soup was bland and oily, I only could taste the mozzarella cheese that was on top for garnishment. The chicken Marsala did not taste like Marsala just chicken with brown gravy and the chicken piccata was very very bland. I was very disappointed. The waiter was excellent. I will not be returning to this franchise anymore. I wish I just went somewhere else.

I just had a great experience in this restaurant. Stay-C was our waiter. He was awesome and very attentive and SO nice. We ordered lunch specials and everything was fresh and tasted good and was cooked to the perfect eating temperature.

Not bad for a chain, as I oft find myself saying when I dine in a chain. I may be in the minority that prefers bertucci's to the OG, if I had to choose between the two. For any restaurant that identifies as being Italian, the bread best be good. I'm happy to report the rolls were warm, delicious, and served with seasoned olive oil. Score! We got mozzarella fritta as an app, and it was delish. My entree, not so much. I ordered the jambalaya fettuicini and found it to be bland and watery. My aunt ordered the rigatoni abbruzzi with looked to be very good. If I'm forced to dine at a chain, I won't terribly mind if it's this one.

I came here for dinner with my family and Sarah G was our server. Who's is the worst server I have ever had in my life. We received our order 3 plates first then 15 minutes later the other 3. The table across from us was getting graded cheese on their pasta, constant check up on water and other needs. Our table was never offered any and that after she served our food. I had to get up and go to the bar to grab my water and coke. Which thankfully the bartender didn't charge me for the coke. I don't know what to say, cause at the end I had to walk up to the host to get to go boxes too. I don't know if it was cause we aren't the right color or what. Anyways I know for sure I'm not going back there. Thanks for the service Sara G don't spend all of your .20 cent tip, you deserve it.

I am a fan of this chain. Yep, I really like their pizza. That is what we usually get along with soup or salad. I find the restaurant relaxing, not hurried, and the waitstaff friendly. The hot rolls are delicious!!

Came here for lunch with some coworkers. They swear by the margherita pizza here. I now know they are officially insane. I had better pizza in a school cafeteria. I opted for a salad, being that I'm not supposed to eat wheat (I did try a few bites of the pizza for research purposes), so Italian places are admittedly the worst for me. I chose a cobb salad with grilled chicken, dressing on the side, figuring this would be a safe bet. What I received was literally hilarious. I had to try hard not to laugh and be rude to my coworkers, who genuinely like this place. It was an enormous bowl of shredded iceberg lettuce, I'm talking a whole head at least, topped with 1/3 of a grilled chicken breast (which was tasty, but couldn't they spring for at least 1/2 the breast?), a sliced boiled egg (fine), a copious amount of diced raw zucchini (WTF?), a sprinkling of diced cucumbers (k), sad little translucent chunks of tomato (ick), and chunks of bleu cheese (fine). Questionably mayo-ey bleu cheese dressing on the side. It was not exactly delicious. Never again.

This is my first ever review in yelp! I am one of those users who definitely reads yelp reviews but does not login And write a review!! When we decided to dine in bertuccis, little did we know we would be subjected to such bad attitude as well as bad food... Not only was our waiter extremely rude,I had to send back the entrée as it was not cooked properly, in return they did not even offer to replace it.though it was not added to the bill, I was left without food on my plate and left the restaurant with an empty stomach.

One word! GROSS! I ordered rigatoni in a wine sauce with grilled chicken and the only sauce it had was that starchy sauce from the water it was boiled in. Our server was extremely brief with us and the whole experience was weird. Not good at all folks.

Burnt like black burnt bread that was turned over like we wouldn't notice, spinach salad that was soaked in their dressing. I know it's a chain, but really burning the bread and still serving it. The waitress was nice she took the salad off the check. I did love, love their butternut squash pizza, was awesome.

After giving no indication over the phone that they could not accommodate a party of 12 on a Saturday night, they politely informed us upon our arrival that they discourage large parties on busy nights. We could be sat, but not together. I've worked in the restaurant business. I know what that means. We want to turn tables over quickly and large parties sit for too long and don't generate enough money for the business. Just sucks that we had to learn this after driving all the way there and then load up the 10 month old child in the car to go eat elsewhere.

Okay I have never really been in this Berticci's. But last month they joined the Bensalem Business Asociation. They catered the meeting to showcase there food and service. Wow, what a spread! And they served the food and talked to all of us about what Bertucci's can do for local businesses in Bensalem. This was all Sean's idea, he is one of the managers at Bertucci's. I know many members including myself where impressed.

I now have another McFamily chain restaurant under my belt, this being our first visit to a Bertucci's Brick Oven Pizza Italian Restaurant, quite a mouthful alone in its name, huh? This particular Bertucci's opened at the beginning of October and took the place of a failed 99 Restaurant site. There is an Uno, which is a couple of years old, across the street, so I'm wondering how they will fair, personally, I've tried Uno twice and I am not a fan, so Bertucci's may fair well for families. Oh and take my advise and search the menu on line, as they have a zillion choices, especially since they seem to be celebrating 30 years in business, lots of specials that have been on past menus at back in the time prices. Walking in, you immediately notice how they reused the space of the 99, except we now have a huge brick oven for baking pizza. Warm rolls along with an infused olive oil comes quickly once seated, pizza dough balls baked off, I think so, they're okay and beware, they bloat in the tummy quickly. During Lunch you can order off any menu, all the different pizza menus, the lunch menu, of course and the dinner menu and you will also receive an unlimited salad bowl, Hello Olive Garden! Okay, sarcastic remarks aside, we did enjoy our meals, much better than Uno or Olive Garden, but not even close to your favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant, but this place works well for families with young children. We started with the roasted artichoke fonduta, which was enjoyable and nothing like the globby fundido mess we had recently at a Mexican restaurant. Served with crispy garlic oiled flatbread topped with grated cheese. We also shared an entree as an appetizer, seafood di Mari, consisting of shrimp, scallops, mussels and baby cod, which went quickly and we were still hungry, so I guess this was a good idea. No, I know it was a good idea as we really did think this was an awesome treat. This came with soup or salad and since we were already getting unlimited salad hubs had their sausage soup, which he seemed to enjoy. I was torn between an artisan flatbread pizza, chicken parm, piccata or Marsala, you all know me right? When I noticed they had a Bertucci's trio of favorites which included chicken parmesan, fettuccine Alfredo with asparagus and rigatoni abruzzi, I quickly made up my mind. I can honestly say that I was happy with the entire trio. The pasta was perfectly cooked, they obviously used fresh ingredients, the sauces were good, the chicken was tender, I was happy. Michael ordered an individual ( beware, these are quite large ) sausage and onion flabread pizza. Yum, Uno, go back to Chicago! Thin, crisp crust with just the right amount of cheese, could have used more sausage, but hey, he likes pizza with his sausage. I'm anxious to return and try their artisan white pizzas, they sound so good, some with an artichoke spread, roasted garlic, pesto sauce, shrimps, scallops, oh help, I'm getting excited over a chain restaurant.

The menu looked great.. We had a hard time choosing something from the menu because the menu looked so great but we the food came it was average. Nothing to rant or rave about. I ordered the individual Sophia pizza because HELLO BRICK OVEN PIZZA!!! It's a must.. The white sauce on my pizza was super greasy, but against my better judgement I ate it because I was starving... An hour later I was throwing up in my hotel room.. So gross. Felt better once I did. My co workers went to bed right after and woke up feeling dizzy and not too great. Would never recommend or return to. YuCk!

I usually hesitate to review chains, as their merits (or lack thereof) are relatively well-known. However, Bertucci's is often overlooked in the usually lackluster pantheon of chain-restaurants, an injustice I intend to correct with this review. I strongly believe that Bertucci's makes a wonderful pizza, quite possibly the best chain pizza I've ever had. Admittedly, I'm a cheap lay for wood-fired pizza, but Bertucci's version of the stuff does rustic Neopolitan pizza justice. The thin crust is surprisingly flavorful with a perfect, light char on the outside that gives way to a tender inside. Their tomato sauce isn't too heavy on the herbs and seasonings and thus tastes very fresh, fruity, and pleasantly tangy. Bertucci's topping combinations are all fairly well thought out, although I usually opt to top my own pies with their delicious roasted vegetables (eggplant, garlic, peppers, etc) that are delicately sweet with great, smoky flavors from the wood oven. Speaking of the wood oven, almost any bread-like item that comes from this brilliant vessel of flame and ash is likely worth your money. Their complimentary rolls are some of my favorites anywhere, as they have a nice, crisp crust, a pillowy soft crumb, and a similar, yeasty flavor as their pizza crust. Their flatbread paninis (unfortunately only available at lunch) again benefit from great dough and wood firing. As for ambiance, it's a chain restaurant so you know what to expect. Tasteful decor, relatively comfortable seating, and a quiet dining room characterize Bertucci's. I'd likely dock a star or two if I took the rest of the menu into consideration, as their pastas, meats, and other items are decent but not really worth ordering given how good the pizza is. However, if you come for their great pizza, rolls, and paninis (as you should), you won't be disappointed.

Don't try to place an order by phone at this restaurant. The Female who tried to take my order had to ask someone if they had each item I wanted. When I asked for a caprese salad she said it wasn't on the menu anymore. How could such a italian restaurant staple not be on the menu anymore?? Then she told me one of the soups was shrimp corn chowder . When I ordered it she told me they didn't have it. Too frustrating!! Canceled the whole order.

We used the takeout on a Friday night. Everything was ready when we got there and the food was great. I had the Sporkie, which was awesome. Their pizza is really good for a chain. The only thing that was a negative was the cramped space in the front where you pick up the to go order, you are competing with people entering and exiting and people waiting for tables. Not a big deal. We'll be back...I just hope they can sustain this quality...

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
