My fiance and I have been here a few times. Food is usually great. Service is awful! We went last night at 8pm and were told a 20 minute wait. No big deal. Got a drink at the bar and were at our table for 10 minutes before our waitress came over with chips and salsa. We were ready to order, hence the menu closed sign, she dropped the chips off and walked away. She came back took our order and we asked for a side a quacamole. 5 minutes later they were trying to make tableside quacamole for us, which we didn't want. She finally came back around, we cleared her of her mistake and asked again for quacamole, she took my empty bottle of beer and didn't ask if I want another. Odd? Food finally came out and the quacamole (after asking 3 times for it). We had to ask her for water amd more drinks. The trip was about 75 minutes, which is fine if we weren't in a rush. Had the waitress with her huge gold hoops reading "SWAG" on them been more attentive and friendly we could've been out of there sooner. And she would have gotten a bigger tip.

Food is still good, but my past visit the service was deplorable. It was so bad that I'll suffer through poor food somewhere else next time I want Mexican. It was made very obvious I wasn't welcomed here from the hostess, the surly manager scowling and hovering the hostess, and then the waiter who was attentive to every other table around but mine. At the end of the meal after sitting and sitting we had to seek out someone to get our check, then wasn't even left a pen to sign for it.

Depending upon what exactly you're looking for in a Mexican restaurant, Plaza Azteca might just hit the bullseye. Cheap lunch specials? Check Full bar? Check Authentic food? Check Tex Mex? Check I've been to Plaza twice now. The first time I tried a $6 lunch special. The quesadilla was outstanding and the chile relleno (egg battered and perfectly sauced) seemed very authentic and was delicious. The black beans were a bit of a miss, however, for $6 I had leftovers to bring home...a great deal. My next visit I wanted to go deeper into the menu. I tried a trio of enchiladas. Each had a very flavorful sauce and was packed with meat/cheese. With rice and beans, it was a nice sized lunch and priced very competitively. The menu has authentic selections (this is the first Mexican restaurant I've been to that serves cochinita pibil) and some American tex-mex (burritos, nachos, crunchy tacos) favorites as well. There really is something for everyone. The service both times was outstanding and the atmosphere is pretty typical of a chain-type Mexican joint...if not even a little bit nicer than most. Bottom line, this is a place I can see myself visiting on a regular basis for a quick, satisfying lunch.

Good food and nice ambiance. I have been there couple of times and have left satisfied each time. I took down 1 star from the rating because I feel that they serve cold refrigerated salsa, which makes me wonder if its made fresh at all. Fresh salsa served at room temperature tastes better for sure!

As someone who travels to Mexico twice a year, I find the food here to be the closest to the real thing. I was shocked to find this place during our major ice storm we had this year. No power at home and this place was packed. What a great find. The Patron margaritas were yummy.

third time was not a charm I had gone here two times for lunch and it was excellent. First time had the fish tacos and second time the #1 lunch special which is the chicken and spinach enchilada and a chile rellano- both very good! I was excited to go at night to try the margaritas. They were good but I would have preferred them served in a margarita glass. Our waitress was so very nice and accommodating but didn't know the menu all that well. We ordered the homemade (tableside) guacamole- - I like spice, we asked for medium which consisted of 2 tablespoons jalapenos for one Avocado-- It was inedible due to the spice. The food came out way too fast- 10 mins. I ordered the beef tacos which were awful. I asked the waitress to please bring me the fish tacos instead, and she was kind enough to remove the beef tacos from the bill. There really wasn't anything wrong with them, just very bland and uninteresting. the fish tacos (Baja) were much better! The chicken and spinach enchiladas (strangely different from my recent lunch order) were also very good, especially with the added sauce.

Authentic Mexican! This place is fantastic. Sit at the bar if you can and ask fir the spicy salsa if you dare.

I have been wanting to try this place out but I heard a few varying reviews and put off going. Last night I had a taste for Mexican food and finally gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised, the drinks were well done and the food was very good. The only thing that I didn't like that much was the cheese sauce they put on the food instead of fresh shredded Mexican cheeses. I will request the sauce on the side the next time. The staff was very friendly and quite attentive.

Early service problems were not in evidence on our visit. Large, varied menu. Food was solid, somewhere between authentic and On the Border. We will be adding to our regular rotation -- a nice addition!

Food, including pork belly tacos, chile relleno and pork enchilada, was very good-to-excellent. The sauce with the pork belly tacos was unusual and outstanding. Chile relleno was the best I've had in a long time. Re-fried beans were above average. Server, Vicente, was unusually knowledgeable and attentive. Beer selection was pretty good. We will certainly be back. Hope they can keep up the high quality of both food and service.

Was excited to try this new spot. Service was slow. Restrooms were covered with water. A fellow customer brought to attention of staff. Watched the staff laughing and mocking customer as she walked away. Service was slow and order came out of kitchen wrong. Runner was glaring at us when we said it wasn't what we ordered. Food came out cold. A shame because it was flavorful. The dynamic between staff and customers made it an unpleasant atmosphere. Even my ten year old stated that she would never return.

I was excited to see a Plaza Azteca open closer to home. I had eaten at the Kennett Square location and was very pleased. After a long morning of shopping, I decided to stop as a lone diner to enjoy a quick lunch. The hostess and waiter were both friendly. I ordered the two taco combo worth rice and beans. I forgot to specify that I wanted soft tacos. The waiter didn't ask. When they came out, a food runner had delivered them. They were hard shell, which I HATE. I ate the rice and waited for my server to come back. Waited, waited , and waited. When he finally returned, I explained that I don't like hard shells. If he could just bring me the soft shells tortillas. Well, another runner came with a whole new meal. I was confused. I just wanted the tortillas, not a whole new lunch. He dropped off the check without a word. Not, how is it, do you need a box, would you like dessert, nada. I looked at my check and was charged for two meals! I waited and waited. Oh, he left. Another server stopped my table to tell me he went on break and left the restaurant. That server said he would get a manager and the manager never came over. The sever said "just leave what you think you owe." Good thing I wasn't paying by credit card because the server closed my check in the computer system. PS The menu said the tacos were served with sour cream, they lied.

No service. It is worse than bad service. We decided to check out the new Plaza Azteca that has come up where good old Applebee's was in this area. Nice greeting by the hostess as we requested a table outside on the patio. It was a great Summer night and we enjoyed our conversation as we waited for our server to show up. And waited. And waited some more. For about 15 minutes we observed servers and other hostesses being very social among themselves and exchanging pleasantries. It seemed we were just the uninvited guests at the great party they were having. Probably deserved to wait until some one deigned to notice the plebs in the corner. At the 20 min mark, I went to the hostess at the door and explained that we had been waiting far too long and would like to just walk away from our table. She had a nervous, "thanks for coming" for us, as we went to the Applebees in Lionville. Had a great evening at Applebee's. Not sure if we want to come back to the Plaza Azteca ever.

Drinks are bad. Sent back a mojito as it tasted like lime soda. I ordered a classic margarita... You think I'd be safe with that at a Mexican restaurant. No flavor- tasted like a (bad) mix with ice cubes. Table side guacamole was delicious however.
Since this place opened (in the corporate center where I work), my friends and I have been close to weekly fixtures. The service here is fast and friendly, even when they are packed. The chips are tasty and the salsa is fresh and delicious. (And the table-side guacamole = the best I've had in the area.) I especially love that they have a vegetarian section of their menu that features more than just your typical cheese enchiladas or veggie fajitas. I'm so happy to see that this place is doing well and to see that they have a wait whenever we leave happy hour on a Friday.

Staff is friendly, service is ok, Guacamole is fabulous. Combo's, which we had bear little resemblance to what we've had in quality Mexican Eating establishments. Place was packed, so I'm assuming the non combo choices must be better. Probably won't go back.

The service here was horrendous! The first words the waitress said to us were "You want a drink?". When I asked about the watermelon Margarita I saw on the sign by the door she insisted they didn't have a watermelon Margarita and then checked the sign and informed me "Yeah, it's a watermelon Margarita". When I asked what is in it she shrugged. I asked for it frozen and she responded "you can't get it frozen". I finally settled for water and the taco combo and asked for soft tacos. I got 2 hard tacos with nothing but meat and lettuce in them, some refried beans smeared on the plate and a scoop of dried out rice (For $10.50!). When I pointed out that it says all combos come topped with sour cream she said "not that one". The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because my friend got a delicious burrito.

Food was very good. Drinks are extremely overpriced though. And the nacho appetizer is a total waste seeing as they pound on cheese and lettuce and tomatoes and toppings but give you barely any chips. The only reason it gets a 4/5 is because the entrees are quite good.

Solid 4 stars. Ate there for lunch with my daughter, had table side prepared guacamole, $3.99- a steal. Lunch portions were great and service was super friendly. They advertise a happy hour, featuring nachos and margaritas. I look forward To returning soon. This is the first Mexican food in the area I can say impressed!

My friends and I stopped in for lunch and were seated immediately. The restaurant has a nice Mexican feel. We sat for quite awhile and munched on chips and salsa, catching up with each other. We did not feel rushed at all. I ordered the chicken fajitas which had a wonderful flavor. It came with a light flavored rice and refried beans with a bit of cheese on the top, sour cream, and a salsa with a nice flavor. The server must have been new and he did not realize flour tortilla came with my meal, taking them back to the kitchen. All in all I thought the meal was good enough to go back again sometime. Found most items on the menus started at $10.

Highly exceeded my expectations. I have no idea what these people are talking with the negative reviews. The service we received was fantastic; our server was friendly and attentive, and our server even had extra napkins in his apron when we asked. I should mention that the architecture and design of this place is enough in itself for a visit. Above all, though, the food is loaded with flavors, great presentation, and lower-than-expected prices. The chicken and spinach enchilladas were absolutely fantastic, with a smooth sour cream and maybe guacamole sauce. I never enjoy rice at Spanish places, but the rice here had a great flavor, as did the beans. All of the food has a great blend of flavors, and does not come overly spicy. My wife got the Mahi Mahi and Shrimp dish, which was loaded with flavor, spinach, and a tasty sauce. The chips and salsa were also delicious. We will be visiting here again the next time we're in the Exton area for great Tex-Mex.

This seems to be a new location on Rt. 30. Either they moved or opened a new site. The waiter said they had been here for six weeks. In any case I won't be going back. I dropped in for a quick lunch on my way back to DC from a business meeting. The good: clean, fast, cheap. The food was hot. The bad: The food was just ok, nothing great, certainly better than TacoBell but only marginally. I had the taco lunch ($10) and ordered a side of guacamole. The tacos had beef, lettuce, and cheese. There was no tomato and no sour cream. The beans were out of a can. The rice was nothing special. The guacamole was decent but had no pieces of avocado. The chips were cold and came from a bag. As with so many restaurants, the Coke was oversized and overpriced. I don't need 64oz of Coke and I don't want to pay $2 for it. I didn't ask and didn't get any water. The odd: The waiter seemed new so I'll cut him some slack for any service mishaps, but at the end of the meal I paid for my $14.29 lunch with a $20 and he asked me if I wanted change. Umm, yea I don't think I'm leaving you a $6 tip. Then he was unable to make change and gave me $5. When I asked for the change, he gave me another $1. I still left a tip but I tried to understand what was up with the money exchange. Oh well. ymmv. I've no idea about the drinks or dinner. I did see a frozen margarita machine behind the bar.

Recently saw that they had turned the old Applebee's into a Plaza Azteca and thought to give it a try. Hostess was very nice, but failed to consider based on the makeup of our party what type of a table would be best for us. Our party consisted of two adults, an 8 year old, and a 5 year old. The hostess decided that the best table for us was a high top in the bar area. Um, no, we immediately asked to be sat in one of the many open booths, and without a fuss our request was handled. Our server was right on point after we sat down and took our drink orders. We ordered food and sadly my enchilada plate was only swarm, not hot as I would have expected. Food was good but not the temp I wanted. Other members in my party were happy with their food. Will try again, but at this point I prefer On The Border.

Very disappointed . I love Mexican food and can always find something I like at an authentic family owned restaurants or chains ( even if its only chips and salsa). I was so excited when Plaza Azteca opened. We heard from a few friends that they liked it. We were there last Friday around 6 pm. It was full but we didn't have to wait. The hostess and waitress were great. That's where my 2 stars go- if it wasn't for them it would be 0 stars. The chips didn't seem to have any salt and the salsa was even more flavorless. We got the table side guacamole and the gentleman who assembled it was very nice. We said add everything. We got onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, salt, lime, cilantro, etc added and it was very bland- not sure how that can happen . We got the chicken/ spinach enchiladas with cheese sauce and the 3 vegetarian enchiladas (1 bean, 1 cheese, 1 potato). The chicken enchiladas were ok . The others had no flavor at all other than a hint of garlic or something in the potato. The wort part was the cheese sauce- it looked and tasted like melted american cheese. It hardened on top like plastic and had no flavor. The enchiladas were drowning in it. I couldn't scrape enough off. I ended up adding a lot of the table side sauces to my meal and all that did was add heat- no flavor. Oh yea- the margheritas were weak. Don't know if t was just a bad night but I'm afraid to try it again.

The first time we were here everything was great. Food, service etc. this time.. Horrible. It was a busy Saturday night so we waited around 25 mins for a table. To be expected. Once we were sat we waited 10 minutes for a corona and a water. We order table side guacamole which was wonderful as well as the guy who made it. For our waitress that's another story. She seemed she barely spoke or even understood English. We waited over 30 mins for our entrees while everyone around us stated after us all got their food. When we asked several people plus our waitress where our food was they all just seemed confused. We decided to just get our food to go and get the h outta there and when the waitress finally did bring it not one apology or anything. I work in the food industry and this is just poor all around.

Avoid. My wife and I went for dinner on a weeknight. I ordered enchiladas and she ordered a combo meal. The dishes came out very fast. We were served in less than five minutes from order to table. Clearly nothing is being made to order, it's all fast food Mexican, pre cooked and assembled. The food itself is nothing special, run of the mill and boring. Two or Three stars. However, halfway through my meal I found something in the enchiladas. I'm not sure what it was, at best they were rubbery chicken fat or over cooked rock shrimp (which should NOT have been in chicken enchiladas). They were small rubbery, inedible pieces of junk and there were several pieces of it. It was taken off the bill but no apologies, no manager to speak to, just terrible. Never going back. Avoid. Zero stars.

Not bad. The food was decent and reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow and our server didn't seem very knowledgable about the menu. I would go again, but would not not say it's the best around for good Mexican.

We went to Exton Plaza Azteca for the first time tonight because the reviews were so good. We're not Mexican food devotees but we were sold on Azteca - the food, rice and re fried beans, enchiladas and sauces were definitely homemade, so tasty and special. Try the Enchilada Bajio at $9.99. It was unbelievably tasty. For dessert we had cornbread and ice cream. The cornbread was so soft , almost melting in your mouth. Our waitress Kathryn was a delight. The manager came over to see how we liked our food and he was so nice and humble. A real \Mexican atmosphere. The coffee was weak but only $1.50. We can't wait to go back. I give it a 10!

I have been there twice and have loved it both times! The table side guacamoli is a must and is delicious! The burritos I have gotten are exceptionally good. It's so much better than On the Border which I usually come home from and have to drink a gallon of water since everything there is so salty. I went there for my birthday with my family this past weekend... they asked if we wanted dessert but we casually mentioned that we were going home for cake to celebrate my birthday....we were all surprised when they showed up at the table with a fried ice cream desset with candle and a sombrero which they kindly placed on my head while singing happy birthday in Spanish. It was such a nice touch...we did not go looking for that. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back again.

We arrived at 10:40pm and the greeting was very poor n un-inviting. It was explained to us that the kitchen n bar were closing n we had to order in seven minutes. Although we can understand there's a closing time but to make us feel so uncomfortable n practically forcing us to dine elsewhere was unnecessary.

Love this place. The Exton / Downingtown go-to for Mexican. Seating is always fairly quick, except for maybe 6:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Salsa and freshly-made tortilla chips while you wait, and unusually quickly delivered entrees. I've stayed with the enchiladas, burritos, and quesadillas for the most part, but have yet to be disappointed. Some items could stand a little more heat (spice) but they are catering to the suburban masses here, so the average spiciness is understandable. Prices are awesome, and the staff have always been great.

This place is going to end up being a staple for going out for us. It's reasonably priced and you get a LOT of really good food for what you pay. The wait staff are all eager to please and attentive without over doing it. The atmosphere is fun but relaxed.

had dinner with a friend and we enjoyed our evening and had enough time to catch up, the place seemed just a little too loud, but we still heard each other without a problem. There's not many things so good as fresh guacamole and the table side preparation ensures that. I had the Pescado Azteca with mashed potatoes, the sauce was a little too rich for my diet, but delicious. Fish was dry, but I did enjoy the rest of the dish. about what you expect from a chain restaurant. reasonably priced,

Plaza Azteca is my go-to Mexican restaurant in the Exton/Downingtown/Malvern area despite having it's short-comings. The restaurants atmosphere is solid despite the chain restaurant feel. The music sets the tone for a good dining experience. The burritos are actually very good and border-line 5 stars in my book! I'm also a big fan of the guacamole which is prepared table side although the price ($7.99) is a couple dollars too much when you factor in tipping the guy making it. While I'd love to give it another star, the major downer is on too many occasions they've over-reached / over-promised. For example, their fried ice cream dessert is very good. However, once I ordered it and it didn't include the shell. Their response, "We're out of shells" followed by a shrug of the shoulders. On a different occasion I ordered it and they masked being out of shells by spraying a huge ring of whipped cream around it. Nice try but be honest and don't try to pass off something less than what's expected!!! The same could be said for a decaf coffee they served that was obviously heated up in a microwave. If you don't have it, just say so, it's a lot better than getting a mediocre review on Yelp!!!

VERY disappointed in the efforts of management here! I called in advance to make a reservation because my son's birthday is on Cinco de Mayo. The manager told me that it's a busy day for them and they would not take a reservation. I told him that we would have several older people joining us and I could not have them standing around waiting. He said he could not help me out. We will not be patronizing this place again!

My food was good. The margarita was good. The service was good. Why 2 stars? My husband's chicken was fatty, like every piece. I tried a tiny bite but didn't like it either. He threw up all night. Have never been back since.

My friends raved about how good the fresh guac was. The guac, my enchiladas nortenas and house margarita exceeded my expectations and I'm glad they took me here!
Their food is authentic and delicious. Service is quick and great & if there is anything ever missing they are good about replacing food. Tonight we heard a mariachi band which kept our little ones happy and content. The house margaritas were decent but not that strong. We think we finally found the deal of the menu. When we come we order fajitas for 2 which is 24.99. It is served with carne asada, chicken, shrimp, and carnitas along with tortillas, 2 sides of besns, rice, sour cream and cheese. It's a lot of food. We serve our 2 toddlers from this meal too.yummy food!

Wow. This was not what I was expecting. As soon as you walk in you get sucked into the culture, music and mood. It felt comfortable. The staff was pretty cheery and lively. But the food is what really got me. I split a burrito and a chicken entree with rice, beans, the usual. Not only did it look incredible but the flavors were all there. Not sure if it's authentic but it was definitely good food. Idk why I had such low expectations coming in but this place is worth another trip.

This Plaza Azteca used to be THE BEST place! We have been regular patrons, aside from the winter weather keeping us away. Tonight, we stopped by and ordered our usuals. One of our favorites "Burrito San Jose", was incredibly disappointing. It went from the favorite burrito, to small, mushy, and lacking flavor. We also got the "Baja Fish Tacos". They had one tiny little strip of fish per taco - small enough that I had three tacos, beans, rice, chips, a drink, and I'm still hungry. And I don't normally eat that much. We are left wondering if they changed chefs or something happened. We won't be back any time soon. :-(

I go to plaza a few times a month and really like it. The food is always pretty good and the table side guacamole is awesome. There margaritas are perfect and the guy who's always bartending is always on top of refills and usually remembers what you order. I find it funny there's a complaint about there not being a reservation at a Mexican restaurant on cinco de mayo... Obviously that's going to be one of there busiest days of the year no kidding there not gonna have reservations, if I remember correctly they did it big last year and even had a mechanical bull outside. All in all it's worth a try even if it's just for a nice marg.

I went there tonight with my husband for dinner. The waiter couldn't remember our drink order. He brought me the wrong drink, after I reiterated it to him twice. My dinner arrived with rice, when I wanted beans. He never asked me to choose. The manager took it back, and it was returned with the pico de gallo sauce making the quesadilas soggy-so much so that I could only eat one. The free chips served were 1/3 crushed. I ate alone, as my husband finished his dinner before mine was brought out. Will not be returning. Though the manager was polite and apologetic, he offered us nothing in compensation for all our trouble. This waiter clearly has a memory issue and can't perform his job duties.

I've been here twice for dinner and the only good thing I can write about is their extra spicy salsa, ( which you have to ask for). I ordered vegetarian enchiladas which, excluding the potato ones, were just piles of bland cheese. I will not return.

I've been a fan of this restaurant in the past, and I have a personal commitment to support restaurants that pursue Mexican cuisine. But a return visit to Plaza Azteca Exton this past weekend was an utter disaster. The food was good enough, and our party of 7 much enjoyed a good meal in celebration of the pending return of a family member to his native South America. But near the conclusion of our visit, matters went badly awry. We discovered that the floor between the dining area and restrooms was quite slick with some oily substance. I managed to avoid a fall, but my long suffering wife was not so fortunate. She took a rather bad spill. But it got worse. During a visit to the restroom I watched in shock as one of the liveried staff flushed the toilet, exited the stall and left the bathroom -- without stopping to wash his hands. Such things shatter confidence. I really doubt we'll return. But they're such simple problems to avoid. I posted this message privately to the restaurant's Facebook page, but received no reply. And so I must post it to this more public forum. Your restaurant has promise. Please don't continue to betray it with poor attention to safety and hygiene. Train your staff properly and be vigilant. Be respectful of your clientele and you may yet prosper.

Don't waste your money. Pretty place, good location. POORLY trained staff. You can never expect too much with most Tex-Mex places, and this is no exception. However, in the future I'll drive a half mile further up the road to On the Border for generic Mexican. Gave this place a chance and it definitely wasn't worth it. The problem started with a waitress who seemingly barely understood English and didn't verbalize at all, so I don't think she spoke English either. This became more evident when we had to ask twice for SILVERWARE AND NAPKINS. When the food arrived it was beyond underwhelming and cool to the touch. Of course the plates themselves were burning hot, but the food was already lukewarm. How's that happen? Don't waste $12 on the ceviche. What was I thinking? Tasteless, extremely small portion, rubbery seafood that was full of water - thawed. Gross. Entrees, had they been hot, would've been edible. Both entrees had the wrong sauces, and were missing sides and extras. Portions were large, however. There was NO flavor. No nuance, no spice, no heat, no seasoning. All in all the food is on par with your basic frozen Mexican dinner. And the drinks were weak. The end.

Don't do it! Terrible! Despite mixed reviews, we tried take out. Worst fish tacos ever! Worst chicken enchiladas ever! The cheese quesadillas were tiny and dried out! I make better Guacamole in my sleep! This isn't even close to traditional! I've had better of Papusa Trucks!

Don't be tempted to try it. The food is horrendous and the service was a joke. They just kept piling plates on the table and never cleared any of the finished ones. The queso fundido was served without tortillas and it was made with melted cheddar and jack (not authentic). The guacamole was made with overripe, brown avocados and had a bad flavor as a result. The frozen margarita and ultimate margarita were both undrinkable. Don't waste your time or money.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(5)Jeffrey V.
(4)Michael S.
Early service problems were not in evidence on our visit. Large, varied menu. Food was solid, somewhere between authentic and On the Border. We will be adding to our regular rotation -- a nice addition!
(4)Kent M.

(1)Leila A.
Drinks are bad. Sent back a mojito as it tasted like lime soda. I ordered a classic margarita... You think I'd be safe with that at a Mexican restaurant. No flavor- tasted like a (bad) mix with ice cubes. Table side guacamole was delicious however.
(1)Ruth Y.
This place recently opened up at the old Applebee's location near the junction of Whitford Road and Route 30. On a whim my friend and I got takeout to try the "new place." The staff was friendly and helpful. The décor had completely changed and I really enjoyed the modern Mexican music. But to me, that does not a good review make. The food was very good. The Cheese dip and chips were delicious. It looked deceptively plain, but the chips were thick and flavorful; the cheese was a unique blend that was very delicious. I ordered a combo plate with Enchilada, taco and chile relleno (I think - I cannot find this on their takeout menu, but I ordered it off the in-store menu). The dish also came with delicious fluffy rice; and I am a rice snob. The Enchilada and sauce were delicious. The chile relleno had a delicious thick batter. Nothing was too spicy, which is the way I like it, although I imagine they can make it spicy if need be. My friend ordered the mushroom quesadillas, which I eyed throughout our meal, but before I could segue into begging for a bit, it was all gone. Guess that means it was really good. Oh, yes, she told me it was too after she had finished it all :p. Methinks that was a little convenient.
(4)Sara S.
(4)Tom B.
Staff is friendly, service is ok, Guacamole is fabulous. Combo's, which we had bear little resemblance to what we've had in quality Mexican Eating establishments. Place was packed, so I'm assuming the non combo choices must be better. Probably won't go back.
(2)Annonymous A.
(2)Adam A.
Food was very good. Drinks are extremely overpriced though. And the nacho appetizer is a total waste seeing as they pound on cheese and lettuce and tomatoes and toppings but give you barely any chips. The only reason it gets a 4/5 is because the entrees are quite good.
(4)Leeger G.
(4)Lauren I.
Get the shrimp fried rice! It's not what you think. It's the most amazing thing ever. This place is great
(5)Steve S.
The chips and salsa are fresh and delicious. I got the combo fajita and it was enough food for two people!! The service is so-so but the food makes it worth the trip.
(4)Susan C.
(3)Alec P.
Food was ok. Seems toned down and not very flavorful. Service was good. Prices and portions were good.
(3)Andrew S.
(5)Allysa B.
Great food. Even better service. The waitstaff is the most friendly and professional staff I think I've ever dined with.
(4)John D.

(3)Pete J.
(2)Melanie C.
Don't get the quesadillas. Limp and soggy wirh grease.

(2)Chris G.
Avoid. Zero stars.
(1)Paul J.
Not bad. The food was decent and reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow and our server didn't seem very knowledgable about the menu. I would go again, but would not not say it's the best around for good Mexican.
(3)James K.
(5)Nancy P.
I have no idea what previous posters are talking about. Our service was excellent even though it was quite busy. The food was excellent and served promptly. Would definitely go again.
(4)Lori W.
(5)Efrain D.
(1)Luke M.
(4)Rachel W.
This place is going to end up being a staple for going out for us. It's reasonably priced and you get a LOT of really good food for what you pay. The wait staff are all eager to please and attentive without over doing it. The atmosphere is fun but relaxed.
(5)Jane S.
had dinner with a friend and we enjoyed our evening and had enough time to catch up, the place seemed just a little too loud, but we still heard each other without a problem. There's not many things so good as fresh guacamole and the table side preparation ensures that. I had the Pescado Azteca with mashed potatoes, the sauce was a little too rich for my diet, but delicious. Fish was dry, but I did enjoy the rest of the dish. about what you expect from a chain restaurant. reasonably priced,
(3)Jason C.
(3)Billy D.
(1)Victoria W.
My food was good. The margarita was good. The service was good. Why 2 stars? My husband's chicken was fatty, like every piece. I tried a tiny bite but didn't like it either. He threw up all night. Have never been back since.
(3)Charles F.
My friends raved about how good the fresh guac was. The guac, my enchiladas nortenas and house margarita exceeded my expectations and I'm glad they took me here!
(5)Carol L.
Go for their guacamole. It is amazing! Custom done at the table. They start by scooping the avacado from the shell and add lime onion tomatoes cilantro to taste. It is so fresh and worth the trip for that. Seafood entrées are pretty good. Their wines are not the best. Stay away from their Malbec at all costs. I might stick with appetizers next time.
(4)Noelle K.
(4)Jane F.
the omg nachos are really good. Cheese enchiladas were tasty. However, the beef burrito needed seasoning.. Was not very good. Service was good and fast. Prices for lunch very reasonable.
(4)Andres L.
(4)Melissa G.
Great food, great experience........ Authentic! Cerviche was delicious! Enchiladas were amazing.... And the guac will blow your mind! More on the mild side.... So Don't be scared to ask for hot!
(4)Nicole K.
(2)Chris D.
(4)Amy D.
(1)Laura R.
I've been here twice for dinner and the only good thing I can write about is their extra spicy salsa, ( which you have to ask for). I ordered vegetarian enchiladas which, excluding the potato ones, were just piles of bland cheese. I will not return.
(2)B. E.
(1)Jennifer F.
